Heading to TRNSMT 2025 at Glasgow Green this year? We've pulled together three tips to make your life easier at the event, while also three don't to avoid dramas while watching 50 Cent, Snow Patrol and Biffy Clyro this year.
Transcript
00:00Glasgow, you lucky lucky people. It's only a matter of time before Transmit
00:06returns to Glasgow Green for the 2025 edition and this year's headliners
00:11include 50 Cent, Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol and many many more, including a couple of
00:17secret sets that we've alluded to previously in an article. But to make
00:21sure that you and more importantly everyone else around you has the
00:25absolute best time this year, we thought we'd couple together a couple of
00:29essential do's and don'ts ahead of Transmit 2025. Do be Sun Savvy and hydrate.
00:37Even in Glasgow the Sun can be powerful. Protect your skin with sunscreen, throw
00:42on a hat and wear light clothes. Drink plenty of water, yes water, throughout the
00:48day to stay cool and energized. Now with the heat being how it has been at the
00:54previous couple of festivals including download and I can personally attest to
00:58that. There is absolutely nothing worse than well fielding the festival cold that
01:04many people get after attending them but more importantly heatstroke. Heatstroke
01:09sucks. Yeah it really does suck. For those that want to treat going to Glasgow
01:14Green as if it is the proverbial catwalk, that's fine dress how you want to but
01:19perhaps do yourself a favor and prioritize comfy footwear. I mean you're gonna be on
01:25your feet dancing and navigating the festival grounds for hours. Trust me. Leave the
01:30fashionable shoes at home such as your new rocks or your big platforms or your
01:35clogs. Your feet will thank you by the end of each incredible day. That walk to
01:40public transport or the car will be much much more bearable. And do pack a power bank. Now your phone's gonna be working overtime.
01:50Snapping pictures. Recording sets. Not whole sets. Don't be that person. And of course
01:56keeping track of your friends. Now a small fully charged power bank is an absolute
02:01lifesaver to keep you connected and capturing those moments. And again more
02:05importantly paying for things if it's cashless. Now power banks are allowed but
02:11they must have a maximum capacity of 27,000 mah or a hundred watt hours. Anything larger may be confiscated so just bear that in mind.
02:23And now for some don'ts. And first and foremost don't bring banned items. Always check the
02:29official transmit list or article coming out before you head out. Now security checks are
02:35thorough. Sniffer dogs are there as well for you couple of guys that celebrate 420
02:40and you do not want to lose your belongings or delay entry. Or worse get arrested for
02:46trying your luck. There are sniffer dogs. There are sniffer dogs. Second don't
02:52overindulge. The combination of heat, long days and too much alcohol can be a real
02:58buzzkill. Not just for yourself but the people that you're with that will no doubt
03:03have to carry you to and from places. And with the bearing sun hitting down at you
03:09you don't want to be sizzling away like a piece of gammon. So know your limits.
03:13Pace yourself and stay aware. Let's all avoid being that person that people have to
03:19step over making their way to the main stage. I speak from experience sadly. And a
03:25big one. One that's been discussed many a time on reddits and forums across the
03:30internet. Crowd etiquette. Don't forget crowd etiquette. Everybody's here to have
03:36fun but not every band calls for a mosh pit. Remember personal space and be
03:42mindful of others. I mean while Snow Patrol might get you singing your heart out
03:46not everybody wants to slam dance to If I Laid Here. Let's make it respectful and an
03:52awesome experience for all. Jump around have fun. If there's a mosh involved then by
03:57all means get stuck in. But if you do see that someone that just feels a little
04:02bit hesitant with what's going on. Respect the fact that they might not want to beat
04:07the living hell out of each other to the gracious sounds of Biffy Clyro. And please
04:12if someone falls over pick them up. It's just common sense and common courtesy. So
04:18follow these tips and you're set for an epic transmit 2025. Get ready for incredible
04:24music, amazing vibes and hopefully some unforgettable memories and we'll see you there in the crowd
04:31having a pogo to Snow Patrol.
