00:00So, your thoughts on the NHL free agency, and you still believe Marner's going to Vegas?

00:06Where do you think Marchand's going to go with the offers that he has?

00:11You say he's not interested in going back to Boston.

00:15No, I don't think he's going back to Boston.

00:17As far as Marner is concerned, he's the best free agent on the market.

00:20He's the one sort of superstar on the market.

00:24He's got a decision to make.

00:25Does he take the most money?

00:26He could take 14 mil from Columbus or something like that if he wants.

00:30Or, let's say, does he take 12 to play on Vegas, which is tax-free, and it works out to the same.

00:36There's a lot in moving parts here.

00:37But, you know, I thought that Dubas would be aggressive.

00:41I was clearly wrong about that with Pittsburgh.

00:43I mean, that's another story.

00:45But Marner seems hell-bent on the West Coast, Scott.

00:47You know, we keep on hearing LA Kings, Anaheim Ducks, Vegas Golden Knights.

00:51But Vegas are technically the best one of the bunch.

00:54Vegas want to be good.

00:56They need to add some new talent to that roster.

00:58Here, everybody, you and I talk about it.

01:01Why wouldn't you want to play for the Vegas Golden Knights?

01:05You live in, you know what I mean, whatever.

01:06You live in Henderson.

01:07You live in a beautiful house.

01:09You play golf.

01:10There's no media pressure.

01:12You know what I mean?

01:12The weather's beautiful.

01:13You're on a good team.

01:15The travel's not bad.

01:16You're playing the Ducks, the Kings, the Canucks.

01:18You're flying around the West Coast only.

01:19It's all, like, all connected.

01:21There's a lot to like about it.

01:22But the thing is, Vegas don't have the money.

01:26Like, you know what I mean?

01:26They're so pressed.

01:27And Vegas always manipulates the cap.

01:29You're not allowed cheating with the cap anymore.

01:31They killed that with the new CBA.

01:32So they can't, like, cheat with injuries and stuff anymore.

01:36So they need to do a sign-and-trade with Toronto.

01:38But Toronto doesn't need to do it, Scott.

01:40They've got to like the players back.

01:41I think they're going to end up doing it so they get something instead of losing for nothing.

01:45And Marchant, I don't see why he would leave Florida.

01:47But the Toronto Maple Leafs have a lot of money to offer him, Scott.

01:51And that's what it comes down to to me.

01:53The Panthers are the least for him.

01:55Then it got the eight-year deal from the Panthers.

01:58They can't give all these big deals to everybody.
