Turkey’s defense industry has released a video showcasing the coordinated operation between the Bayraktar TB3 drone and the PIRANA naval kamikaze drone during exercises conducted by the country’s Navy. The footage was shared via the official Savunma Sanayi profile on X (formerly Twitter).
The test took place aboard the TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship, from which both the fixed-wing Bayraktar TB3 and the PIRANA unmanned attack vehicle were launched. During the operation, the TB3 acted as a signal relay, extending the command range and effectiveness of the naval kamikaze drone.
As a result of the exercise, the PIRANA successfully carried out a precision strike on a 3.5-meter training target, which was completely destroyed. According to the publication, the test demonstrated the system’s ability to operate over long distances in asymmetric warfare scenarios, highlighting the cost-effective efficiency of the vehicle.
