Aerial surveillance units from the “Tsentr” Forces Group are undergoing intensive live-fire training aimed at neutralizing enemy drones, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The exercises are being held at a specially equipped training ground featuring shooting ranges that allow engagement at various distances.
Targets simulating drones are used to replicate real combat scenarios, and a live-fire readiness system is in place to ensure that troops effectively develop the skills required to detect and eliminate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
According to the Ministry of Defense, the goal is to improve the ground forces’ responsiveness to the growing threat posed by drones on modern battlefields.
