The Ukrainian Navy has announced the destruction of a Russian vessel transporting assault troops along the western coast of the Kherson region.

According to Navy Commander Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa, the strike was recorded by a drone and shared on social media, showing the exact moment the boat was hit and caught fire. The vessel, reportedly part of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, was located and targeted during a coastal maneuver.

Although the exact date of the operation has not been disclosed, the interface seen in the released footage suggests that a Bayraktar TB2 attack drone was likely used. The number of Russian soldiers killed in the strike remains unconfirmed, and the specific model of the destroyed vessel has not yet been identified.

Commander Neizhpapa thanked the military personnel involved and highlighted the success of the operation. The previous month, Ukraine had already carried out a successful drone strike—both naval and aerial—against Russian-controlled offshore gas platforms in the Black Sea, reinforcing its strategy of using advanced technology to undermine occupying forces.
