00:00:00They come to late night to relax, not to be inundated with ideological screeds, no matter who's hosting.
00:00:06You know, it was really, obviously, it was hot today in D.C.
00:00:09And you know what it made me think of?
00:00:12Johnny Carson.
00:00:13It's hot.
00:00:14It's so hot.
00:00:15How hot it was it?
00:00:16It was so hot, Ed was frying his egg on the roof of his car.
00:00:20Then he would say, how?
00:00:21The audience would say, how hot was it?
00:00:23I mean, but he was, he, I mean, no one will ever touch Carson.
00:00:28No one.
00:00:29Letterman had his time and his moment.
00:00:31He was, he was, he was funny at that moment.
00:00:33But no one will touch Carson.
00:00:35And these guys couldn't hold his coat, okay?
00:00:38Couldn't hold a doily next to him.
00:00:40It's just ridiculous.
00:00:40It's just not entertaining.
00:00:41It's not funny.
00:00:42And people want to relax at the end of the day.
00:00:44They don't want to be like this.
00:00:45And I'm going to go relax.
00:00:46No, we're going to go relax now.
00:00:47All right, Raymond, thank you.
00:00:49Thanks for watching.
00:00:49Remember, it's American Now and Forever.
00:00:51Jesse's next.
00:00:52We begin this morning with a Fox News alert.
00:00:59In just a few hours, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth expected to speak from the Pentagon
00:01:04about the success of Operation Midnight Hammer.
00:01:07As a new CIA assessment reveals the damage done to Iran's nuclear facility.
00:01:12And so much for transparency.
00:01:14The man known as Jill Biden's work husband just decided at the last minute to skip testifying
00:01:20on former President Biden's mental decline.
00:01:23A former press secretary for Jill Biden is here to call out his old co-worker for hiding
00:01:29the truth.
00:01:30So many questions there.
00:01:32And, uh-oh, it's always the yearbook photo that gets you in the end, isn't it?
00:01:37Calling into question AOC's reputation as a Bronx girl.
00:01:40You won't want to miss this fact chat from suburbia.
00:01:44And it's two people who grew up in suburbia.
00:01:47Yay, suburbs.
00:01:48You're watching Fox and Friends First here on a Thursday morning.
00:01:50I'm Todd Pyro.
00:01:51And I'm Carly Shimkus.
00:01:52First, let's turn it over to Lucas Tomlinson with all the details on
00:01:55Secretary Hegseth's upcoming press conference this morning.
00:01:58Hey, Lucas.
00:01:59Good early morning, Carly and Todd.
00:02:01President Trump returned to the White House late last night from the NATO summit in The Hague
00:02:05after ordering the Pentagon to share intelligence with the world
00:02:08about that B-2 strike on Iran's nuclear sites.
00:02:11And the CIA director now weighing in with a statement of his own saying, quote,
00:02:16CIA can confirm that a body of credible intelligence
00:02:20indicates Iran's nuclear program has been severely damaged by the recent targeted strikes.
00:02:26During a lengthy press conference following the summit,
00:02:28President Trump and his defense secretary, Pete Hegseth,
00:02:31insists the mission those bombers were sent on was completed.
00:02:35There are numerous of those reports, and they're coming out fast and furious.
00:02:39But the most respected ones we've already seen.
00:02:42But the site was obliterated, just like I said it was.
00:02:45And just like the pilots should be given credit for.
00:02:48So if you want to make an assessment of what happened at Fordow,
00:02:52you better get a big shovel and go really deep,
00:02:55because Iran's nuclear program is obliterated.
00:02:58As the seat fire between Iran and Israel appears to be holding,
00:03:02Trump says he's looking at talking to Iran next week
00:03:05and perhaps working on a pledge by the Islamic Republic
00:03:08to give up its nuclear program.
00:03:11Look, we're going to talk to them next week with Iran.
00:03:16We may sign an agreement.
00:03:18I don't know.
00:03:18To me, I don't think it's that necessary.
00:03:20I mean, they had a war.
00:03:21They fought.
00:03:22Now they're going back to their world.
00:03:24I don't care if I have an agreement or not.
00:03:25The only thing we'd be asking for is what we were asking for before
00:03:29about we want no nuclear, but we destroyed the nuclear.
00:03:34And, Carly, that Pentagon briefing scheduled for 8 a.m. Eastern
00:03:38will be carrying it right here live.
00:03:39Stay tuned right here on the Fox News channel.
00:03:42We certainly will be watching.
00:03:44How's that for Tease?
00:03:45That's an amazing tease.
00:03:46We will do it more.
00:03:46So I say keep your station locked to Fox News.
00:03:49How about that?
00:03:50Very nice.
00:03:50Yeah, yeah.
00:03:51Doubling down.
00:03:51Lucas, thank you.
00:03:52Locked and loaded.
00:03:53Let's bring in former NSC chief of staff
00:03:55under President Trump, Alex Gray.
00:03:57Alex, let's start there.
00:03:58What are you expecting to hear from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth
00:04:01in just a few hours?
00:04:04Well, thanks, Todd.
00:04:05I expect Secretary Hegseth is going to lay out
00:04:08in more granular detail what we've learned about the operation
00:04:12since it's ended, what we know about the success,
00:04:15what we've learned about the post-battle damage assessment.
00:04:19And I think hopefully what the secretary is going to give us more information on
00:04:24is kind of a granular readout of what the intelligence agencies have been able to learn
00:04:30in the last couple of days so we can finally put to rest some of these naysayers who have
00:04:35been openly contradicting what the president has said, some of the leaking that's gone on,
00:04:40just so we can have kind of a definitive understanding of the success that the president
00:04:46and his senior officials have been telling us.
00:04:49I think I'd like to get that formally in the record.
00:04:52That would be helpful.
00:04:52And those naysayers, to be clear once again, have been calling into question the success
00:04:57of this absolutely remarkable mission based off of a non-low confidence intelligence assessment.
00:05:05Let's keep that clear as well.
00:05:06Meantime, the president trying to explain what happened during the strike.
00:05:10Take a listen.
00:05:11They call it dust, but it's very, very heavy.
00:05:14It's very, very hard to move.
00:05:16And they were way down.
00:05:17You know, they're 30 stories down.
00:05:20We think it's covered with granite, concrete, and steel.
00:05:25Okay.
00:05:26In light of that fact that it appears that the Iranian nuclear program is in really bad shape,
00:05:32I'll just say that before Pete Hankseth speaks in a couple of hours.
00:05:34What should we expect to come out of this Iran-U.S. meeting?
00:05:39Well, I think that the Iranians saw exactly what happens when you have a president
00:05:44who's willing to not just talk endlessly for no purpose,
00:05:48but who views negotiations as an opportunity to advance U.S. interests,
00:05:52and who is unafraid if you're on the other side of the table
00:05:56and you're unwilling to be a good faith negotiator,
00:05:59he's willing to use the United States military
00:06:01to make sure that our interests are protected.
00:06:04And the Iranians had their chance.
00:06:06They lost it.
00:06:07And now they have to make a strategic decision.
00:06:10Do they want to spend the next 10 years as a global pariah
00:06:14with no nuclear deterrent,
00:06:17or do they want to have an opportunity,
00:06:19which I think President Trump is sincere in giving them,
00:06:22to try and reenter the global community
00:06:25with a good faith effort to try and get back on track
00:06:30with the United States and our allies?
00:06:32I think the president is very genuine
00:06:33when he says he wants to have,
00:06:35as he said many times over the last couple of months,
00:06:38he'd like to have negotiations
00:06:39that lead to a detente in the region
00:06:42so we can have mutual prosperity.
00:06:44But the choices would be Iranian ayatollahs.
00:06:47We will be watching that with bated breath.
00:06:48Meantime, NATO Secretary General Mark Ruda
00:06:51giving praise to President Trump yesterday
00:06:52for his role in getting NATO members
00:06:54to agree to that 5% total amount of defense spending.
00:06:59Listen.
00:07:00President Trump, dear Donald,
00:07:02you made this change possible.
00:07:05Your leadership on this has already produced
00:07:07$1 trillion in extra spending
00:07:10from European allies since 2016.
00:07:13And the decisions today
00:07:14will produce trillions more for our common defense
00:07:17to make us stronger and fairer
00:07:20by equalizing spending between America
00:07:23and America's allies.
00:07:25Alex, did Donald Trump just usher in
00:07:27a new era of peace through strength,
00:07:30not just in America,
00:07:31but throughout the world
00:07:33with both the Iranian strike
00:07:35and this 5% NATO commitment?
00:07:39Todd, he's done more than any president
00:07:41since Ronald Reagan
00:07:42to build a world that understands
00:07:45that peace is only possible
00:07:48if the United States has
00:07:50an overwhelming capacity,
00:07:52capability, and willingness
00:07:54to use force as needed on the global stage.
00:07:58And I think we're going to see
00:07:59incredible opportunities for peace
00:08:01because the president has been so willing
00:08:03to be that dynamic actor on the global stage.
00:08:07And let's be very clear, Todd, about NATO.
00:08:09You know, Harry Truman may have built NATO
00:08:11when he was president.
00:08:12Donald Trump saved it
00:08:14by being willing to fight
00:08:16and pressure and cajole
00:08:17and to use every tool in his kit
00:08:20to make sure that NATO members
00:08:22were willing to finally spend
00:08:23first 2%, now 5% of GDP on defense.
00:08:27And if he hadn't done that,
00:08:28which every president since Carter
00:08:30had been urging NATO allies to do,
00:08:32if he hadn't done that,
00:08:34NATO would be a totally toothless alliance today.
00:08:37Alex Gray, thank you for your insight this morning.
00:08:39We appreciate it.
00:08:42Is artificial intelligence,
00:08:44AI as the kids call it,
00:08:45making those very kids lazy?
00:08:48A new study detailing exactly
00:08:49how your kid's brain activity
00:08:51is being slowed down by AI.
00:08:53That's right.

00:09:11I learned at an early age
00:09:13how to not feel badly about harming things.
00:09:16We think that all murderers are like,
00:09:18ah, and they look like a murderer,
00:09:19when in fact, most look nothing of the sort.
00:09:23They found these Amazon reviews
00:09:24that he had posted
00:09:25foreshadowing the actual murders
00:09:27he was committing.
00:09:28It was a way for him
00:09:30to be able to put it out there
00:09:31without putting it out there.

00:14:17We are back with a Fox Weather Alert.
00:14:22A tornado ripping across Florida's Gulf Coast,
00:14:25damaging dozens of homes near Clearwater.
00:14:28Emergency crews going door-to-door to check on residents,
00:14:31but luckily no injuries have been reported yet.
00:14:33And thousands of residents in Nebraska
00:14:35facing flash flood warnings this morning
00:14:37with some roads already underwater.
00:14:39Look at that.
00:14:40Senior meteorologist Janice Dean here
00:14:42with your Fox Weather Forecast.
00:14:43Yeah, we've been talking about the heat so much
00:14:46that we haven't focused in on the threat for severe storms
00:14:49and the heavy flooding that has been happening,
00:14:51but it's all related because we've had this ridge
00:14:53of high pressure anchored across the east,
00:14:55and around it, we call this ridge riding,
00:14:58these storms that ride around that ridge of high pressure.
00:15:01We had record-breaking rain in Grand Island, Nebraska,
00:15:05over six inches in just a matter of hours,
00:15:08and then that high pressure has been anchored,
00:15:10bringing us all of that heat,
00:15:12and around that high pressure is where
00:15:13we've seen the potential for stronger storms and flooding.
00:15:17So that's going to continue as the ridge backs off
00:15:20a little bit, especially across the northeast,
00:15:22but we still could see the potential for stronger storms,
00:15:24including thunderstorms for Nebraska
00:15:26up towards the Great Lakes
00:15:28and parts of the Mid-Atlantic
00:15:29down towards Florida again today.
00:15:32Now, I mentioned the heat is going to back off a little bit,
00:15:34especially across the northeast,
00:15:36but we're still getting heat alerts
00:15:37for sections of the Mississippi River Valley,
00:15:40the Ohio Valley, and parts of the Mid-Atlantic.
00:15:42But look at this, the power of a cold front, right?
00:15:45Today, temperatures will go down into the 70s and 80s.
00:15:49Tomorrow, daytime highs in the 60s and 70s.
00:15:53So basically going from 100 degrees back into the 70s.
00:15:57Look at this, temperature swings
00:15:58with these record temperatures close to 100 degrees
00:16:01are surpassing that.
00:16:02Look at you in Boston, 69 on Friday.
00:16:05You were 102 on Tuesday.
00:16:08That's pretty incredible.
00:16:09All right, we'll send it back to you.
00:16:10Get those winter coats out, my goodness.
00:16:12Maybe not winter coats.
00:16:13102.
00:16:14That's crazy.
00:16:15Okay, how about a light sweater?
00:16:16But it will feel a lot colder.
00:16:18Yes, it will.
00:16:18All right, Janice, thanks for the warning.
00:16:19We appreciate it.
00:16:20Listen to this.
00:16:21A new study from MIT is revealing
00:16:23just how detrimental the use of AI is
00:16:25to students' critical thinking skills.
00:16:27The data revealing that students who wrote essays
00:16:30with the help of things like chat GPT
00:16:32had reduced brain activity, memory retention,
00:16:36as well as a sense of personal ownership
00:16:37or pride in their work.
00:16:39Founding director of the Center for the Future of Mind,
00:16:41AI in Society at Florida Atlantic University,
00:16:45Dr. Susan Schneider joins me now.
00:16:47Dr. Schneider, thank you so much for joining us.
00:16:49So let's start with the basics here.
00:16:51First of all, tell us a little bit more
00:16:52about this study and what it found.
00:16:56It found something very unsurprising.
00:16:59It found that if you write your paper with GPT,
00:17:03you don't learn.
00:17:05And it found that if you, at a later point,
00:17:08after writing your paper,
00:17:10then turn your paper in or read over the draft
00:17:14and engage with GPT,
00:17:16you can actually learn from that engagement.
00:17:19So this was a study done on an age group
00:17:22between 18 and 39.
00:17:26We have to remember that younger people
00:17:30in other studies have been found
00:17:32to be particularly vulnerable to in-class GPT use,
00:17:36especially paper writing.
00:17:38So it's a very important study.
00:17:42And we need in the future students
00:17:45who are able to think very intelligently and critically.
00:17:50So we don't want to dumb down our student population
00:17:54by allowing them to write papers in classes with GPT.
00:17:59There are better uses of the great technology.
00:18:02Right. And Dr. Schneider, you're absolutely right.
00:18:04I don't think that the findings of the study
00:18:06would surprise anybody.
00:18:08And that's really part of the problem
00:18:09is that it's happening before our very eyes.
00:18:11And it could really serve as a cautionary tale
00:18:14because young people are now using AI
00:18:16for everything that the brain normally does
00:18:19when it comes to homework help
00:18:20or creative thinking, brainstorming ideas.
00:18:23So what will happen to this country as a whole
00:18:26if young people, they're considered the future
00:18:29of the future of the country,
00:18:30the future generations,
00:18:31are able to use AI in the classroom unchecked
00:18:34in the way that they are right now?
00:18:37Well, AI will be getting smarter,
00:18:42potentially taking our jobs,
00:18:44and our students will need to be agile.
00:18:48They'll need critical thinking skills.
00:18:50So if we don't give them the critical thinking skills,
00:18:53they will not be able to compete
00:18:56with artificial intelligence
00:18:57and our society will have less capability.
00:19:03So dumbing down the population is not what we need.
00:19:06So what we need are efforts on the part of educators.
00:19:11I mean, a national effort really to educate everybody
00:19:14about the strengths and weaknesses of AI technology,
00:19:18especially these AI chatbots.
00:19:20Right now, chatbots are fairly unregulated.
00:19:25It would be excellent if we had external safety oversight
00:19:29of the AI platform.
00:19:31So we make sure that the algorithms they use
00:19:34are actually good for brain function
00:19:36and that we as a population understand
00:19:40how to use them in the classroom
00:19:43to prepare our students.
00:19:44Because obviously our students will need
00:19:46to use AI technology,
00:19:48but we want to maximize the benefit
00:19:51of that use of AI technology.
00:19:53Understood.
00:19:54I mean, AI is like giving a man a fish.
00:19:57You know, they'll eat for a day,
00:19:59they'll pass the test,
00:20:00but they won't be learning
00:20:01how to apply critical thinking skills,
00:20:04which will help them tenfold in the future.
00:20:06Dr. Schneider, thank you for joining us this morning.
00:20:08We appreciate it.
00:20:10You're very welcome.
00:20:11All right, back to one of our big stories
00:20:13of the morning.
00:20:13Joe Biden's so-called work husband
00:20:15refusing to take a stand in front of lawmakers
00:20:18investigating President Biden's mental decline.
00:20:21But the Biden staffers who are talking
00:20:24don't seem to be helping his case.
00:20:26We're going to talk to someone
00:20:27who worked directly with the Biden family,
00:20:29what he saw next.

00:23:28Three letters that strike fear
00:23:30into everyone.
00:23:31And for good reason.
00:23:33The IRS is the most powerful
00:23:35collection agency on earth.
00:23:37And being in debt to the IRS
00:23:39can have serious consequences.
00:23:41Oftentimes it begins with the IRS
00:23:42sending you a collection letter,
00:23:44but then escalates.
00:23:45And before you know it,
00:23:47you're having your paychecks garnished,
00:23:48your bank account seized,
00:23:50even your home or business
00:23:51could be at risk.
00:23:52My problem was I hadn't paid my taxes
00:23:54in eight years.
00:23:55I was trying to take on the IRS
00:23:57by myself.
00:23:59I have five children.
00:24:00I'm trying to take care of my kids,
00:24:01and it was a lot of stress.
00:24:02I owed the IRS over $10,000.
00:24:06They told me the possibilities
00:24:08of garnishing my wages
00:24:09to resolve this debt
00:24:12that I owed them.
00:24:14I owed a lot of money to the IRS,
00:24:15almost $15,000.
00:24:17There was nothing I could do about it.
00:24:19I was just overwhelmed
00:24:20at what to do.

00:24:36I only had to pay $3,500,
00:24:38and now my debt is clean.
00:24:39I don't owe anything.
00:24:40It was easy like one, two, three.

00:25:45A disturbing story here.
00:25:58Florida GOP Congresswoman Kat Kamek says her offices had to be evacuated after receiving death threats from pro-abortion activists targeting her and her family.
00:26:08Kamek says the threats erupted after she spoke about her ectopic pregnancy, writing the following, quote,
00:26:13We've received thousands of hate-filled messages and dozens of credible threats from pro-abortion activists, which law enforcement is actively investigating.
00:26:21In light of recent violence against elected officials, these threats are taken very seriously.
00:26:27Kamek revealing she nearly died from the procedure and blames the left's pro-choice messaging for fear-mongering on the issue.
00:26:34A former aide for Dr. Jill Biden abruptly refusing to testify in the investigation into the alleged cover-up of her husband's mental decline while he served as president.
00:26:44Brooke Singman is here with all the details. Hi, Brooke.
00:26:46Hey, guys, that's right. Jill Biden's right-hand man, Anthony Bernal, is refusing to appear before the House Oversight Committee today.
00:26:53Bernal is known for being Jill Biden's quote-unquote work husband, and he said yesterday that he would not sit down for a closed-door interview with the committee.
00:27:00His decision comes after lawmakers say he previously agreed to do so.
00:27:05Committee Chairman James Comer putting out this statement, saying, quote,
00:27:09Now that the White House has waived executive privilege, it is abundantly clear that Anthony Bernal, Jill Biden's so-called work husband,
00:27:16never intended to be transparent about Joe Biden's cognitive decline.
00:27:20I will promptly issue a subpoena to compel Anthony Bernal's testimony before the committee.
00:27:25But former Biden aide Neera Tanden did testify to the committee on Tuesday,
00:27:30and a source confirmed to Fox that she did admit to being authorized to direct auto pen signatures.
00:27:36Now, that auto pen replicated Biden's signature on documents like pardons, memos, and more.
00:27:42But Tanden was not sure who gave the final approval.
00:27:46A new Fox News poll shows that 52 percent of Americans believe it's important for Congress to investigate the use of Biden's auto pen,
00:27:52and 50 percent want to investigate Biden advisers who made key decisions.
00:27:58Meanwhile, the committee is still waiting to hear from Biden's former doctor, Kevin O'Connor,
00:28:03in addition to two other former advisers.
00:28:05President Trump has also instructed the Justice Department to launch a separate investigation into the alleged cover-up.
00:28:11Brooke Seaman live for us.
00:28:13Brooke, thank you.
00:28:14With that, let us bring in former press secretary for the first lady, Jill Biden, Dr. Jill Biden.
00:28:19It is Michael LaRosa.
00:28:20And, Michael, great to have you on the program.
00:28:22You were hired by Anthony Bernal for the Biden campaign.
00:28:25You are, in fact, his roommate on that campaign.
00:28:29What is Anthony Bernal hiding?
00:28:32Well, first of all, I want to give him the benefit of the doubt that this is not rescheduling for, you know,
00:28:41a personal family emergency or anything.
00:28:42But if it's not, it was a pretty bonehead move because the entire country, the news cycle was devoted to the Iran engagement and President Trump.
00:28:54People kind of forgot about this.
00:28:56Now everybody's talking about it, or at least we are today.
00:29:00And it really does a disservice to the Bidens.
00:29:03And it kind of escalates and confirms suspicions that the Republicans already had.
00:29:10And if you have nothing to hide, there should be no reason not to cooperate.
00:29:15So, I mean, my best advice to him would be to over-cooperate, just like Neera did.
00:29:20And, you know, show, don't tell.
00:29:23Speaking like a true communications professional, use that.
00:29:25What happened in Iran says you're covered because nobody's paying attention.
00:29:29If Iran's going on, he had an opportunity and he didn't jump on it.
00:29:33Yeah.
00:29:33It would have went under the radar.
00:29:35And people kind of forgot about it.
00:29:37Even mainstream reporters kind of forgot about it until news broke that he is not going to be compelled.
00:29:43And that's sort of an escalation.
00:29:45And it only raises eyebrows, unfortunately, and does a real disservice to Dr. B and President Biden.
00:29:52Let's step back for a moment.
00:29:54How powerful was your roommate?
00:29:56I mean, that's what I'm going to call him for three years.
00:29:58Was your roommate, Anthony Bernal, in the Biden White House?
00:30:03I don't think anybody would dispute the characterization that he was probably the most powerful human being
00:30:10inside the Biden's orbit and inside the White House.
00:30:14I don't say that with any slight or with any degree of, like, pride.
00:30:21It's just a fact.
00:30:23And I don't think anybody would argue with that because nobody wants to say no to a first lady.
00:30:28And Anthony, when he spoke, it was hard to tell where the line began and end to whether he was speaking for Dr. B or not.
00:30:38So, you know, he was pretty powerful when it came to guarding the Biden's privacy.
00:30:44And that was ultimately what did the Bidens in, was this knee-jerk, reflexive move by the culture of the staff to reflexively sort of dodge, stonewall, evade when it comes to transparency.
00:31:05And it was the subject of a lot of colorful disagreements between Anthony and myself, where I was always aired on the, want to air on the side of full disclosure on anything.
00:31:16Well, let me get you on a big thing because Neera Tanden said she had to obtain approval to use the auto pen from the president's inner circle.
00:31:34Michael, was Anthony Bernal ultimately in charge of giving the final approval for the auto pen?
00:31:40I highly doubt it.
00:31:42I mean, at least I would like to believe that.
00:31:44I like to believe that he wasn't.
00:31:47He would have no reason to be over there.
00:31:52And, you know, Neera was not there the last, was not the staff secretary in the last year and a half.
00:31:57Somebody else was.
00:31:59So, it will be interesting to see if they decide to subpoena the person who held the job of staff secretary for the last year and a half.
00:32:08The big question.
00:32:09If Anthony Bernal is forced to testify under oath, is there any way he could testify truthfully that he did not notice Joe Biden's cognitive decline?
00:32:24Well, Todd, it's hard for me to say only because, look, in my three years, it wasn't my, I didn't experience that.
00:32:34Now, I left at the end of 2022.
00:32:35Anthony had more access and proximity to the Bidens in their private time, in their private spaces.
00:32:43And so, he would know and he would have had his own observations and he would have to be truthful about that.
00:32:50Yes.
00:32:50We are waiting to see the response to the subpoena.
00:32:53But one has to assume that if he did not show up voluntarily, he's probably going to fight the subpoena.
00:32:58We'll see how that all plays out.
00:33:00Michael LaRosa, thank you for your time and your insight on the Biden White House.
00:33:04We appreciate it.
00:33:06All right.
00:33:06Here's a big shocker.

00:38:09A New York assemblyman is calling out AOC over what she describes as her, quote, Bronx girl roots.
00:38:19Matt Slater shared this photo from his high school yearbook and posted on X.
00:38:24If you're a Bronx girl, then why are you in my Yorktown yearbook?
00:38:28Give it up already.
00:38:30This was in response to AOC posting,
00:38:32I'm a Bronx girl, you should know that we eat Queens boys for breakfast respectfully.
00:38:38The school is located over an hour north of the Bronx in the suburbs of Westchester County.
00:38:43Slater was a senior at the same school as AOC when she was a freshman.
00:38:47Of course, that post by AOC was criticizing Trump because Trump grew up in Queens.
00:38:52And she's two politicians went to high school together.
00:38:54Yearbooks don't lie, Carly.
00:38:55That's that story.
00:38:56All right.
00:38:57A report from The Wall Street Journal revealing possible prospects to chair the Federal Reserve
00:39:02as President Trump hints at plans to replace Jerome Powell.
00:39:07You were criticizing the Federal Reserve chair before coming to this summit.
00:39:12I think he's terrible.
00:39:13I was wondering if you've begun interviewing different candidates for the Fed pick.
00:39:17Yeah, I know within three or four people who are going to pick.
00:39:22I mean, he goes out pretty soon, fortunately, because I think he's terrible.
00:39:26Cheryl Cassoni from our sister in Eric Fox Business here to break it all down for us.
00:39:29So, Cheryl, who's it going to be?
00:39:31Well, it's not breaking news that Donald Trump is not happy with Jerome Powell
00:39:35because he feels that he needs to cut rates sooner rather than later.
00:39:40Donald Trump has made the arguments many times that they're cutting rates in Europe.
00:39:44We're not cutting rates here.
00:39:45And we have a lot of debt that we have to refinance this year.
00:39:48And the next year, we have to refinance $11 trillion.
00:39:51That's it?
00:39:51Just $11 trillion.
00:39:52But according to The Wall Street Journal, there are several people that the White House
00:39:58and President Trump himself were considering.
00:40:01According to The Wall Street Journal, here's the list.
00:40:02I'll go through it.
00:40:03Former Fed Governor Kevin Warsh, who, by the way, did an interview for Treasury Secretary
00:40:07after Donald Trump was elected for his second term.
00:40:11He is a former Fed Governor, again, which is important.
00:40:13He advised George W. Bush.
00:40:16National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett, who the journal is reporting isn't interested.
00:40:20Treasury Secretary Scott Besson.
00:40:23Former World Bank President David Malpass.
00:40:25And Fed Governor Christopher Waller.
00:40:27Waller's interesting because he gave an interview last week where he said that he thinks that rates
00:40:30should be cut.
00:40:32But here's back to Jerome Powell.
00:40:35He has been very clear, and he actually testified this week on Capitol Hill, he's worried about
00:40:42tariffs causing inflation.
00:40:44And so when you've got Powell out there not cutting rates and saying, why, let's listen to Powell in
00:40:49his own words.
00:40:50This is what got President Trump, again, angry.
00:40:53Watch.
00:40:53There will be some inflation from tariffs coming, not yet, but over the course of the coming
00:41:00months.
00:41:01I just think that you should consider whether you're really looking at this from a fiscal
00:41:05lens or a political lens, because you just don't like tariffs.
00:41:09So the thing about the Fed Governor, they've traditionally been nonpolitical.
00:41:13We know this happened back in the early 70s under President Richard Nitzing, because he had
00:41:17pressured that Fed Governor to cut rates that was coming up on in the 1972 presidential election.
00:41:23That kind of changed the way that the Fed operated.
00:41:25So Powell is up next year.
00:41:28But if Trump were to nominate somebody this summer, the only thing that would be tough
00:41:31for that person is you'd be criticized and really analyzed for months ahead of even starting
00:41:40the job.
00:41:40And there's 12 people on the board.
00:41:42So everybody has to vote.
00:41:44But if he nominates somebody early in the summer or the fall, that person can sort of undermine
00:41:52what Jerome Powell is saying and influence the markets, right?
00:41:55Right.
00:41:55Yeah.
00:41:55So that's probably why Trump is thinking that.
00:41:58Yeah.
00:41:58But getting somebody in there that thinks like him, that thinks like the president, and then
00:42:03get out there and be vocal about it.
00:42:05Regardless of who's ultimately selected, I think America wants Cheryl to cover it like
00:42:08the NFL draft.
00:42:09You will be our own Mel Kuyper Jr.
00:42:11That's what the people want.
00:42:13Yeah.
00:42:13Don't miss Cheryl on Mornings with Maria.
00:42:15Cheryl is always...
00:42:15All the balls and strikes.
00:42:16X's and O's.
00:42:17A pleasure.
00:42:17You had me at NFL.
00:42:20Cheryl, thank you so much.
00:42:21All right.
00:42:22New York City's hottest new politician, Zoran Mamdami, the presumptive Democratic nominee
00:42:26for mayor, could be bringing his socialist ideas to the financial capital of the world.
00:42:32And our police force should not be assisting ICE.
00:42:36Defund the NYPD and refund all of these different social services.
00:42:40I will create a network of city-owned grocery stores.
00:42:43It's like a public option for produce.
00:42:45I'll freeze the rent for millions of tenants, make buses fast and free, and deliver universal
00:42:50child care.
00:42:51And before you ask, I'll pay for it by taxing the rich.
00:42:53The mayor will use their power to reject Donald Trump's fascism.
00:42:59As mayor, New York City would arrest Benjamin Netanyahu.
00:43:03Unleashed Prosperity Senior Fellow and Heritage Foundation Chief Economist E.J. Antony joins me
00:43:08now to discuss.
00:43:09E.J., good morning to you.
00:43:10Boy, we are going to be talking about this guy for quite some time now.
00:43:13Because he is saying some things that really sound good to a lot of people, like freezing
00:43:18the rent, city-run grocery stores, $70 billion of debt to fund affordable housing, free buses,
00:43:25no-cost child care, baby baskets for newborns.
00:43:28So if he wins, would there be winners or losers here?
00:43:32What would really take place if his policies are put into practice?
00:43:36Well, Carly, there's certainly going to be winners and losers, although I think that's
00:43:41the case for any politician who comes into office.
00:43:44But in this instance, there's going to be a heck of a lot more losers than there would
00:43:48be winners.
00:43:49That's for sure.
00:43:50And what's really astonishing is the number of people to whom this economically illiterate
00:43:56message is actually appealing.
00:43:58That tells you it's not just the candidate himself who doesn't understand basic economics,
00:44:03but it's a lot of New Yorkers as well.
00:44:05And look, I have a message for the great city of New York.
00:44:08There is no reason you need to remain the financial capital of the world if you continue
00:44:13to go down the route of electing these crazy left-wing politicians and you become a socialist,
00:44:19you know, utopia, essentially.
00:44:22There's no reason why Wall Street in this digital age can't move to Texas, for example.
00:44:27And some of those movements, by the way, have already been happening where New Yorkers
00:44:32have been fleeing the city, fleeing the state and moving to places like Texas or Florida.
00:44:37Yeah.
00:44:37Well, a Politico review of his proposals found that Mom Donnie has likely underestimated the
00:44:42cost of his housing construction and social or rather school rehab plans by tens of billions
00:44:47of dollars, just a mere $10 billion.
00:44:50You know, what could go wrong there?
00:44:52So one of his signature proposals, EJ, are these government-funded, government-run grocery
00:44:59stores.
00:45:00Tell us what that would look like if it was put into practice.
00:45:05Well, Carly, socialists are really good at two things, creating shortages of the things
00:45:11that you want and creating surpluses of the things that you don't want.
00:45:14So when the government tries to run, whether it's housing or grocery stores, you name it,
00:45:19you always end up with shortages.
00:45:21In other words, people can't get enough food, at least not the food that they want.
00:45:25People can't get enough housing.
00:45:27I mean, how long do we have to go down this wrong-headed route of rent control before
00:45:33we acknowledge the fact that it does, in fact, create shortages, not surpluses, of affordable
00:45:39housing?
00:45:40The only thing you get in terms of surpluses when you look at these socialist policies
00:45:44is you get a surplus of unemployment.
00:45:46A $30 minimum wage?
00:45:48Are you kidding me?
00:45:49How many businesses are currently paying wages beneath that right now?
00:45:53Because you're talking about hiring someone who simply doesn't add enough value to the
00:45:59business to justify a $30 an hour minimum wage.
00:46:03You can't force a business to pay somebody charity.
00:46:06They're simply just going to not hire the person in the first place.
00:46:10Yeah, that's right.
00:46:10And when it comes to those grocery stores that the government could run,
00:46:13think the post office with food.
00:46:15So that could be in our future.
00:46:16President Trump reacted to Mamdami's Democratic, presumptive primary win.
00:46:22And he said it's finally happened.
00:46:23The Democrats have crossed the lines.
00:46:25Zoran Mamdami, a 100% communist lunatic, has just won the Dem primary.
00:46:30This is a big moment in the history of our country.
00:46:33But I'm wondering, EJ, from a political standpoint,
00:46:35is his win really a story of Zoran Mamdami and the rise of the far left in New York City?
00:46:41Or is it more of an all-out indictment of Andrew Cuomo?
00:46:46Because recent elections, including the presidential election,
00:46:49shows that New York City is moving further to the center.
00:46:53I mean, President Trump gained 95,000 votes in New York City,
00:46:56and Democrats lost half a million.
00:46:58So what do you think is really going on here?
00:47:00It seems like if it was Andrew Cuomo's race to win, and boy, did he lose it.
00:47:06Well, Carly, I think it's both.
00:47:08Look at President Trump.
00:47:09He's a great example of this.
00:47:11When he won for the first time in 2016,
00:47:14it was not simply the fact that people loved him.
00:47:17It was also the fact that people hated Hillary Clinton.
00:47:20So I think you have both things going on right now.
00:47:23And the other thing is that when we look at, you know, demographics,
00:47:26when we look at polling, what we find is that,
00:47:29going back to how we started this conversation,
00:47:31there's a tremendous number of economically illiterate people
00:47:35who are voting today.
00:47:37And unfortunately, that means when they hear these sound good policies
00:47:41of a socialist who promises to give everybody everything for free,
00:47:46they fall for that.
00:47:47And unfortunately, it has never worked out well in the past.
00:47:50And if he wins, it is not going to work out well this time.
00:47:53Mayor Adams called him a snake oil salesman on Fox & Friends yesterday.
00:47:56So it all comes down to November.
00:47:58E.J. and Tony, thank you for joining us.
00:48:02All right, Brian Kilmeade has a look at what's coming up on Fox & Friends.
00:48:05Hey, Brian.
00:48:05All right, you are my cue, Carly.
00:48:07I had no idea they were coming to us, but thank you very much.
00:48:09Meanwhile, hey, good morning to you.
00:48:11And a great show as usual, guys.
00:48:13Here's a look at what's coming up on Fox & Friends.
00:48:15Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
00:48:16This was his coffee mug when he worked here.
00:48:19He's got something more important to do today.
00:48:21He's going to address the leaked DIA report,
00:48:23claiming Iran's nuclear program was barely interrupted,
00:48:27two to three months' delay.
00:48:29He has some more news.
00:48:30We also have the CIA director, John Radcliffe, had news.
00:48:32Meanwhile, President Trump says the U.S. and Iran
00:48:35will hold talks as early as next week
00:48:37about some type of cease-fire holding
00:48:39and sometime a long-term deal.
00:48:41He also said, I don't know why we're meeting.
00:48:42We already destroyed their nuclear program.
00:48:44And speaking of the president,
00:48:46he is home after a successful NATO summit.
00:48:48He even emerged with a new nickname,
00:48:50and Alligator Alcatraz.
00:48:52How Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
00:48:54is fast-tracking the migrant detention facility
00:48:57that's surrounded by alligators and pythons.
00:49:01Also, that's what it's like working in Washington, D.C.,
00:49:04I understand.
00:49:05It's our American Concert Series.
00:49:06And you're saying, it's not Friday, Brian.

00:54:26And then, of course, prosecutors have the final word before the jury begins deliberations
00:54:31to determine the fate of Sean Diddy Combs.
00:54:34Now, this trial has taken more than six weeks, with prosecutors calling 34 witnesses from
00:54:40Combs' ex-girlfriends, his ex-employees, and investigators in an effort to prove Combs
00:54:46ran a criminal enterprise through his businesses.
00:54:49The 55-year-old former rap mogul chose not to testify in his own defense, and his lawyers
00:54:55did not put on any witnesses in his case.
00:54:58Combs faces several charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and two counts
00:55:04of transportation to engage in prostitution.
00:55:07Now, yesterday, the prosecution actually moved to streamline the jury instructions for count
00:55:12one.
00:55:13And that count is the racketeering conspiracy charge.
00:55:16For this count, the jury would have to agree on at least two underlying criminal acts for
00:55:20a conviction.
00:55:22Well, prosecutors have alleged arson and kidnapping, but will no longer include the attempted arson
00:55:28or attempted kidnapping allegations for the jury to decide on that.
00:55:32But they will consider other allegations like witness tampering and drug-related offenses
00:55:36for that count.
00:55:37But those jury deliberations, guys, may not start until Monday, given that all of today and
00:55:42likely tomorrow will be the closing arguments.
00:55:44Well, it has been a whirlwind, and I guess it all comes down to this.
00:55:47Chanley, thank you so much for tracking it all.
00:55:49All right.
00:55:50Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett took time out of the House Judiciary hearing on immigration
00:55:55visas to insult First Lady Melania Trump and her legal status.
00:55:59Yeah.
00:56:00Texas Congressman and member of the House Judiciary Committee, Lance Gooden, was at that hearing.
00:56:04He joins us now.
00:56:05And, Congressman, I'm just going to read part of what she said in what I would call a very
00:56:09serious hearing on a very serious issue that impacts our country's immigration and ultimately
00:56:15decides who comes into our country, yet the Congresswoman decides to use her time to say
00:56:20the following.
00:56:21Melania, the First Lady, a model.
00:56:23And when I say model, I'm not talking about Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford, and Naomi Campbell.
00:56:29You're supposed to have some sort of significant achievement, like being awarded a Nobel Peace
00:56:33Prize, or a Pulitzer, being an Olympic medalist, or having other sustained extraordinary abilities
00:56:38and success in sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics.
00:56:42Last time I checked, the First Lady had none of those accolades under her belt.
00:56:46It doesn't take an Einstein to see that the math ain't math in here.
00:56:51This, of course, the Einstein approach is what this approach to visas is called.
00:56:57Your reaction to that display, again, from a sitting U.S. Congresswoman against a First
00:57:02Lady, mind you, who championed an anti-bullying program in her first term.
00:57:07Well, first of all, I think the First Lady is magnificent, as do most of the country.
00:57:13I am very proud of her and her accomplishments, and I wouldn't dare question her history,
00:57:20how she came to the United States, or what she's done, because what she's done is magnificent.
00:57:26And I'm so proud of her and the work that she's doing as our First Lady.
00:57:30As for this hearing, and my colleague criticizing her, I think the best thing to do here would
00:57:36be to ignore it.
00:57:37I think that the radical view of the Democrats is one where they want to ignore the open borders
00:57:44that have destroyed our country.
00:57:47And I find it pretty rich that they would go after someone like the First Lady who came here
00:57:51as an immigrant, like millions of Americans with her who came here the right way,
00:57:56all the while they've turned a blind eye at the open borders over the last four years of Biden
00:58:01that have really destroyed our nation.
00:58:03They're okay with the riots in L.A.
00:58:05They're okay with destroying small businesses and violence and unrest,
00:58:10but they want to go back in time and rehash the immigration path of Americans who did it the right way.
00:58:16And I think that's a shame.
00:58:18And I think the American people see through that.
00:58:19And I think the American people are happy that Republicans are in charge
00:58:23and that there is law and order being restored.
00:58:26The border is secure.
00:58:27We've had no crossings in the last several months, no illegal crossings.
00:58:30And now we are working to ship the illegals out of this country.
00:58:34The big, beautiful bill will do that.
00:58:35And I believe that's the path we need to go in.
00:58:38And I think spending time acknowledging radical comments and hearings is a waste of time.
00:58:44Okay, Congressman, because it is, as you say, a waste of time, let's move on to Iran,
00:58:47because that certainly is not.
00:58:49And when it comes to Iran, President Trump said that the United States and Iran
00:58:53will talk next week with Iran in the weakest position it has ever been in before.
00:58:59But with that in mind, Democrats are still very angry
00:59:02that President Trump took military action in the first place.
00:59:05Listen here.
00:59:07It's not been briefed on this in a timely fashion.
00:59:10Republican party in Congress that has decided the American people are not entitled to know anything.
00:59:18We were attacked to that.
00:59:21That didn't exist here.
00:59:23So the president should have come to Congress.
00:59:26So the Senate, led by Democrats are, this vote would be led by Democrats,
00:59:31are expected to vote on barring President Trump from taking future military action in Iran.
00:59:38That vote could happen as soon as today.
00:59:40How do you expect that to go?
00:59:41I don't think it will pass, but let me just be clear here.
00:59:45Democrats are disgraceful with respect to how Donald Trump has handled this
00:59:50and with respect to how they are criticizing this.
00:59:53Democrats are disgraceful in the way that they have ignored the Constitution over the last five years.
00:59:59They had no problem with an open border.
01:00:01They had no problem with anything Joe Biden did.
01:00:04And when Donald Trump comes and brings peace to the Middle East, suddenly they're outraged.
01:00:07So the American people see through this.
01:00:09I think it's shameful that Democrats are spending time criticizing our military.
01:00:16They're criticizing our president.
01:00:17When they said nothing about the open borders, they've got a problem with the military restoring order in Los Angeles, restoring order in the Middle East.
01:00:25And I've got no problem with it.
01:00:27I think what we're doing with this country and the direction we're going is a fantastic direction.
01:00:33And I thank the president for it.
01:00:34And I think Democrats need to get a grip.
01:00:36And also, with a Congress that leaks like this, do you really want these Congress people being briefed before a secret admission like that?
01:00:42I wouldn't trust Democrats with secret information at all.
01:00:47Understood. We'll leave it there.
01:00:48Congressman Lance Gooden, thank you.
01:00:50Fox & Friends starts right now.
01:00:52Bye-bye.
01:00:55Good morning. It's 6 a.m. here on the East Coast.
01:01:04It's Thursday, the 20-
