01:15America on edge.
01:17Terrorist warning from Homeland Security.
01:19Sleeper cells.
01:21Cyberattacks.
01:23That's the number one threat.
01:24And what's that in the sky over the Jersey Shore?
01:28The B-2 fleet flying home after the historic mission.
01:32They literally have just dropped the bombs on Iran and are coming back here now.
01:36What's it like to pilot a top secret B-2?
01:39A mission like that is obviously extremely grueling, but it's also extremely exciting.
01:44Plus.
01:45Run for your lives.
01:47Please, everybody come to the back.
01:49How churchgoers banded together to bring the shooter down.
01:53We saw the hat on, fatigue pants and boots.
01:56Then, inside the wedding of the year, foam party at the Jeff Bezos-Lauren Sanchez wedding in Venice.
02:04Why so many locals are up in arms.
02:07Plus, scorcher across the USA.
02:10Melting roads.
02:13The rush to buy bottled water.
02:16And why this dad just got busted for what he's accused of doing in the hot weather.
02:21This father is a human piece of garbage.
02:23Then, star-spangled triplets.
02:26Now, inside edition.
02:35Hello, thanks for joining us.
02:38I'm Mary Calvey.
02:39Iran retaliated for the U.S. airstrikes on its nuclear sites by sending missiles to bomb U.S. air bases in Qatar and Iraq.
02:46No injuries or casualties were reported.
02:49This comes as fear builds that Iran has also woken up sleeper cells across America to spread terror here on our shores.
02:57Stephen Fabian begins our coverage.
02:59America is bracing for retaliation by Iran after the devastating U.S. airstrikes.
03:06Authorities are warning about potential sleeper cells and lone wolf extremists.
03:11We recognize that as tensions escalate, that that means that there could be more potential for threats here at home.
03:16And so that's why we're at an elevated threat right now and we'll continue to stay diligent.
03:23July 4th celebrations are just 10 days away and could be a prime target for Iranian terrorists.
03:29Sporting events and other so-called soft targets are also vulnerable.
03:34This is a time where you really have to be vigilant and look and make sure that nobody's acting suspicious around you.
03:42And if they are, make sure you let somebody know.
03:45In addition to the obvious potential targets like Times Square, the Department of Homeland Security's terrorism advisory system
03:52is also warning of potential cyber attacks on businesses and an attack on the national grid that could have crippling consequences.
04:01Breaking news, Iran has retaliated against the United States.
04:06Iranian missiles were fired at U.S. military bases in the Middle East nations of Qatar and Iraq.
04:11But it's being seen as a largely symbolic attack.
04:15There is growing concern today about satellite images that show a fleet of trucks at Iran's underground nuclear plant at Fordow three days before the U.S. attack.
04:24Were they moving a stockpile of 90 pounds of highly enriched uranium?
04:28A large number of trucks pulling up to Fordow and pulling away with goodness knows what's in them.
04:35President Trump is calling on Iranians to overthrow their government ruled by clerics.
04:41If the current Iranian regime is unable to make Iran great again, why wouldn't there be a regime change?
04:46MAIGA, as in make Iran great again.
04:49The White House doubled down on that call today.
04:52Why shouldn't the Iranian people rise up against this brutal terrorist regime?
04:56That's a question the president raised.
04:57In Israel, the terrifying missile battle with Iran continues.
05:02I think we should all get there.
05:04CNN's Anderson Cooper had to flee on live TV during a 3 a.m. missile attack.
05:09This is the first time today that we have had an alarm like this.
05:15Most Iranian missiles are blown up midair, but a handful get through.
05:19This one destroyed an apartment block in Tel Aviv.
05:22The airstrikes codename Operation Midnight Hammer were meticulously planned involving a complex synchronized attack on three key nuclear sites that were carried out by Tomahawk missiles and B-2 bombers, the military's premier stealth bomber.
05:38So what's it like to fly one?
05:40Les Trent spoke with an Air Force veteran who knows firsthand.
05:43What's it like flying a B-2 bomber?
05:47He knows.
05:47A mission like that is obviously extremely grueling, but it's also extremely exciting.
05:52For security reasons, this retired Air Force lieutenant colonel can only be referred to by his military call sign, Stan.
06:00What is the mindset when you are on your way to a mission, you've got 37 hours ahead of you, and then you've got this literally life or death mission ahead of you?
06:12You're not getting a lot of rest, so I can tell you that.
06:14Maybe there's target changes that you need to program to the computer.
06:17Maybe you're working on long-range communication systems.
06:20Maybe you can lay down for about an hour, and if you're lucky, you can doze off.
06:23And then the other pilot's left to himself to manage the aircraft.
06:25Yes, the stealth bomber comes equipped with a cot, also a microwave oven.
06:32There are two pilots on board.
06:34That's the entire crew.
06:36The Pentagon used a head fake for the top-secret mission over Iran, which was codenamed Operation Midnight Hammer.
06:44Seven B-2s took off from Whiteman Air Base in Missouri and flew west, heading for Guam in the Pacific.
06:51But they were a ruse.
06:53Seven other B-2s secretly headed east, destination the nuclear sites in Iran.
07:01On the final leg, they were escorted by U.S. fighter jets just in case the Iranians came after them.
07:08In all, more than 125 U.S. planes were involved, including tankers that refueled the B-2s in midair multiple times.
07:19Hours later, beachgoers in New Jersey watched in awe as the bombers returned home.
07:25They literally just dropped the bombs on Iran and are coming back here now.
07:29The planes flew across the U.S.A. and came in for a landing back at Whiteman Air Base.
07:35Mission accomplished.
07:37The amount of effort that goes into something like this is just amazing.
07:40B-2s stealth bombers are worth roughly $2 billion apiece.
07:47And when word came an active shooter at a church right in the middle of Sunday services, social media lit up with worry.
07:52It was a terror attack in the wake of the airstrikes in Iran.
07:55Turns out it was a local resident having a mental breakdown, but still caused plenty of panic.
08:01Jim Ray spoke with a parishioner and the pastor, who were both there.
08:07Terror during Sunday church service as a crazed gunman opens fire.
08:12Families duck in pews.
08:14Others run.
08:15There are calls to evacuate.
08:17Everybody to the back.
08:19Please, everybody come to the back.
08:21It all unfolds over the church's live stream in Wayne, Michigan.
08:25Someone's getting guns out of his car and going into the church.
08:28Jobs are fired.
08:29Cops say 31-year-old Brian Anthony was armed with an AR-15 style rifle and semi-automatic handgun with hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
08:38Church member Dustin Fiocco was there.
08:40We heard 20 shots fired, which sounded like a jackhammer.
08:44And we all kind of paused, didn't know what it was.
08:47And that's when we realized that's gunfire.
08:49I'm up in the balcony.
08:51My wife and our newborn are down in the baby room.
08:53So instantly I run downstairs to go check the baby room, man.
08:57They were not there.
08:57So I instantly panicked at that.
09:00It must have been horrific not knowing not only about your wife and child, but other parishioners.
09:05At that, but a terrifying 15 minutes.
09:07A parishioner who arrived late saw the armed man walking toward the church and ran him down with his truck, potentially preventing a massacre.
09:15He saw that he had on fatigue pants and boots.
09:19He saw him putting on the tactical vest and he saw him take out his rifle and he had a sidearm.
09:24The driver says he called out to the suspect, but says the man gave him a smirk and kept walking toward the church.
09:30He began to hit the gas and stop this individual by hitting him with his car.
09:37Church security then opened fire, trading gunshots with the madman before taking him down.
09:43It sounds like there were a number of heroes yesterday and this churchgoer was the first hero.
09:48Absolutely.
09:49They have an active shooter situation in the parking lot.
09:52Police say they are confident that the suspect was acting alone.
09:57The countdown is on for the Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's big wedding set for this weekend in Venice.
10:04The bride and grandma already in party mood hosting a foam party on their yacht.
10:08But as Allison Hall reports, not everyone is sharing in their wedding bliss.
10:13Jeff Bezos and his bride-to-be Lauren Sanchez kick off their week of wedding festivities with a raucous foam party.
10:20Aboard his $500 million super yacht.
10:24More than 200 high-powered guests are expected to attend what's being called the wedding of the year in Venice later this week.
10:32Jay-Z and Beyonce are said to be on the list.
10:36How convenient since they performed in Paris over the weekend.
10:41Oprah, Gayle King, Mick Jagger and Ivanka Trump are also believed to be on the guest list.
10:46They'll soon descend upon the city of canals, known for its stunning waterways and magical gondola rides.
10:53But many locals in Venice said to be the most romantic city in the world aren't celebrating.
10:59Check out this sign on the famous Rialto Bridge.
11:02No space for Bezos.
11:04A play on his space technology company, Blue Origin.
11:07And this sticker is on the bridge right outside the Renaissance building, thought to be where Bezos and Sanchez might exchange their vows.
11:16And there's this anti-Bezos sign in Venice's iconic St. Mark's Square.
11:21If you can rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax.
11:25Venice is a very small city.
11:27It's only two square miles with 50,000 people, yet it gets 15 to 20 million people per year.
11:35They just are feeling invaded.
11:38The impact it has on the city is massive.
11:42Marta Sotereva is a leader in the anti-Bezos movement.
11:46Does it feel like Bezos is trying to take over your city for his wedding?
11:50Yes.
11:51So we're putting our bodies on the line, jumping into water, blocking the canals, blocking the streets.
11:57Emi Sorrell is vacationing in Italy with her family, but canceled going to Venice because of the wedding.
12:03It is a bummer because, I mean, we've had this trip planned for so long, we were all so excited, so it kind of sucks.
12:11Bezos and Sanchez's high-end wedding planners are speaking out, saying rumors they are taking over all of Venice are entirely false,
12:18adding that the couple has donated to local charities.
12:22Summer just started and we're already in a heat wave.
12:25Of 147 million Americans in 28 states are dealing with record high temperatures.
12:31And for this driver, even his air conditioning couldn't help in this situation.
12:35It's so hot, even the roads can't take it.
12:39Watch as the asphalt outside St. Louis pops and buckles, sending the driver airborne.
12:47Customers at this Costco made a run on bottled water.
12:51A large heat dome bringing dangerous temperatures to more than 150 million people.
12:55New York Governor Kathy Hochul is declaring a state of emergency.
12:59But this is not your run-of-the-mill hot summer week.
13:03Temperatures this high can end in tragedy.
13:06Where's the baby?
13:07Where's the kid?
13:07In Volusia County, Florida, Sheriff Mike Chitwood slammed a dad.
13:11This father is a human piece of garbage.
13:14For allegedly leaving his 18-month-old son in a hot car for three hours while he got a haircut.
13:21And then went to a bar called Hanky Panky's Lounge.
13:26For two hours and 40 minutes, that little guy is inside that car.
13:31He says the windows were down, but he's a lion's ass.
13:33Police say 33-year-old Scott Gardner knew little Sebastian was dead,
13:38but drove to his mother's house where he called 911.
13:42My son's not breathing.
13:45He's a year and a half.
13:47Oh my God.
13:47He just had his eyes open.
13:49Oh my God.
13:50Sebastian!
13:51Deputies arrive and try to give CPR.
13:54Quick, quick, quick, quick, quick.
13:56Where's the baby?
13:57Where's the kid?
13:58He's on the floor, man.
13:59Doctors said Sebastian's body temperature was 111 degrees.
14:05Gardner is charged with manslaughter.
14:09Sebastian is the seventh child to die in a hot car in Florida so far this year.
14:14And the heat wave is not over yet.
14:17Things aren't expected to start cooling off till Wednesday.
14:20So this may look refreshing.
14:23Oh, wow.
14:25That's not one, but two waterspouts in the waters off Tampa Bay.
14:29Witnesses said it looked like a scene from Twister.
14:32And waterspouts are basically the water version of tornadoes.
14:35But experts say it is rare to see them as twins.
14:39And now from twins to triplets, as sisters perform a powerful rendition of our national anthem.
14:45They spoke to us about the patriotic performance that had their fellow graduates cheering.
14:49Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light.
15:01It's all-American patriotism times three.
15:05Triplets Vicki, Lucia, and Sofia Pereira wow the crowd at their high school graduation in West Orange, New Jersey with their rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.
15:15O'er the ramparts we watched
15:20The talented sisters were asked to sing as a special send-off to classmates.
15:25And holy moly did they deliver.
15:27And the rocket's red glare
15:31It was really, like, awesome, too, because we all went to school with all those people since kindergarten.
15:39So, and it was also a little sad because it was, like, possibly our last time singing for the school.
15:44They even gave Inside Edition viewers a little encore.
15:47And the rocket's red glare
15:52Great job, ladies.
15:55Beautiful harmony there.
15:57By the way, the sisters are all going to Rutgers University together in the fall.
16:01Back with much more Inside Edition after this.
16:04Next, how these guys in hard hats found themselves the center of international attention.
16:10I was just kind of like, well, I guess this is what we're doing.
16:12I guess I'm going to just stand here and, you know, kind of take it all in.
16:18Tree trimmer at the White House.
16:20Well, my friends are just like, oh, wow, look at you, Mr. Big Celebrity.
16:24And I'm like, I'm just there to do a job.
16:26And time to slime.
16:30Inside Edition will be right back.

16:47Huh.
16:47The first time you try Bounce, it hits you.
16:54Your laundry feels way fresher, softer.
16:56So you start to wonder, if I put a sheet of Bounce on the finance guy, will it make him softer?
17:03Bounce can't do it all.
17:04But for better laundry...
17:05Things were already so difficult for my mom when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
17:12Then she developed agitation that may happen with dementia due to Alzheimer's disease.
17:17She started verbally lashing out, breaking things, wondering at night.
17:23These symptoms were a different kind of difficult.
17:26So we asked her doctor for more help.
17:28Rick Salty is the only FDA-approved medication proven to reduce symptoms of agitation that may happen with dementia due to Alzheimer's disease.
17:36Elderly people with dementia-related psychosis have increased risk of death or stroke.

17:58I'm glad I asked for help.

18:45Wow.
18:46With America on edge,
18:48how effective is the network of Fallout Shelters left over from the 50s?
18:52Next in Sun Edition.
18:53They're a group of hardhats who got an emergency call that help was needed at the White House.
19:01Next thing they knew, they were yucking it up with the president.
19:04Amra Cagliano has their untold story.
19:07It was quite a memorable day in the lives of these hardhats who found themselves the center of international attention
19:14as President Trump supervised the installation of the new White House flagpoles.
19:18Were you surprised in that moment?
19:20I was just kind of like, well, I guess this is what we're doing.
19:23I guess I'm going to just stand here and, you know, kind of take it all in.
19:29Christopher Tattersall is a tree trimmer and spoke to me today from 80 feet above the ground
19:34where he's been hired to rescue a cat.
19:37So what's the reaction been like since you made your appearance at the White House?
19:41Well, my friends are just like, oh, wow, look at you, Mr. Big Celebrity.
19:44And I'm like, I'm just there to do a job.
19:47When the president was asked about bombing Iran, he turned to the guys as if to say,
19:51can you believe they're asking me this?
19:54You don't seriously think I'm going to answer that question?
19:56Will you strike the Iranian nuclear component?
20:00And what time exactly, sir?
20:02But I'm like, wow, like, you know, this is a worldwide press conference
20:06and I'm here standing next to the president.
20:09I'm like, this is just kind of crazy.
20:11Trump was certain they are all MAGA supporters.
20:14I don't know them, but I love them.
20:17And I would bet that they all voted for Trump.
20:19I mean, I don't know for a fact, but I think so.
20:21Did you vote for him?
20:22I didn't even vote.
20:23I was in Thailand.
20:25Trump also suggested one of the good-looking dudes in the hard hats
20:28might be getting a call from Hollywood.
20:30Say that guy is perfect for a movie and you're going to become a star.
20:36Was he talking about you?
20:37You tell me, I don't know, here we are.
20:39If they need an arborist or if they need a stuntman, maybe,
20:43it might be their guy.
20:44So give me a call.
20:47Christopher is actually the top guy who's called in when a cat is stuck in a tree.
20:51So he has lots of cat lover fans.
20:53We'll be back with more Inside Edition after this.
20:57Still to come, time to slide.
20:59Closed caption sponsorship for Inside Edition is brought to you by...
