00:00:00Last time, we began our search for Australia's most identical...
00:00:07People around us always get us mixed up.
00:00:09...with a series of tests...
00:00:11Chocolate!
00:00:13...and challenges.
00:00:14Come on, give up already.
00:00:16Beat that girlfriend!
00:00:17As we narrowed the playing field from 100 sets of identical twins to our top eight.
00:00:25Tonight, we turn it up a notch.
00:00:28Surely you knew you were identical.
00:00:30...as the challenges get even tougher.
00:00:36We'll find out how close our twins are in singing ability, fashion sense...
00:00:44...and much more.
00:00:45We do have a bit of twin telepathy going on.
00:00:47You won't believe the results.
00:00:50Plus, we'll explore the deep twin connection.
00:00:53I knew that death could happen.
00:00:55As we build to the ultimate test.
00:00:58We have tried to pretend to be each other.
00:01:00Trading places.
00:01:02And at the end of it all, we will crown Australia's most identical.
00:01:08Welcome to the second and final night of our massive quest to find Australia's most identical twin.
00:01:27It's the pointy end, folks.
00:01:29And welcome back, of course, Dr Yana Pittman.
00:01:32Challenge masterminds from the UK, Dr Zand and Dr Chris.
00:01:37And our twins experts, Professor Sarah Wilson and Professor Geoff Craig.
00:01:43Tonight, we're stepping it up with our top eight sets of twins about to tackle a series of more intensive physical and psychological tests.
00:01:52With the results of those and the help of our experts, our top three will be decided.
00:01:58Few nervous faces here.
00:02:00Times two, I might add.
00:02:02Those three pairs will then have to pull off the ultimate switcheroo.
00:02:06Ed promises to be a cracker.
00:02:09Will they be able to fool anyone into thinking they're the same person?
00:02:13And finally, we invite all of our twins to vote for the winner.
00:02:16Let's hear it once again for our top eight.
00:02:21Wildlife Warriors, Bridget and Sophie.
00:02:25TikTok twins, Jason and Jayden.
00:02:28Independent sisters, Daisy and Aurora.
00:02:33Inseparable twins, Jamie and Stephanie.
00:02:37Fitness instructors, Tim and Nick.
00:02:39From Perth in WA, teachers, Yvette and Linda.
00:02:44Tradie brothers, Marcel and Jim.
00:02:48And singing sisters, Janice and Sonya.
00:02:55One of these sets of twins will be crowned Australia's most identical.
00:03:01Rightio, well, let's get stuck in.
00:03:03Over to you, Dr. Zahn and Dr. Chris, for tonight's first challenge.
00:03:08Thanks, Scotty.
00:03:09Now, Zahn, I think we were pretty lucky with our parents
00:03:12because unlike many parents of twins, they didn't dress us identically.
00:03:16Yep. Thanks, Mum and Dad.
00:03:18Although they could have stopped us from committing this crime against fashion.
00:03:22Well, in 1988, that was fashion.
00:03:25All right, well, how about these outfits?
00:03:26I'm not sure these were ever stylish.
00:03:29I thought we agreed not to show that photo.
00:03:31I know. Why am I wearing a bow tie?
00:03:32I don't know.
00:03:33Anyway, fashion is the inspiration for our first top eight challenge tonight.
00:03:40Now, sharing the same genetics plays a big part in developing likes and dislikes.
00:03:45But so does nurture.
00:03:46If you've been dressed matchy-matchy as kids,
00:03:49what impact will that have on your taste as adults?
00:03:52When shopping individually, will each pair make the same fashion choices or not?
00:03:59Oh, my God, he's running.
00:04:00Well, for this challenge, we want to see how much they think alike when it comes to fashion sense.
00:04:06Each set of twins has been split up and placed into two groups, and the red group is shopping first.
00:04:13Long sleeve. Long sleeve. Looking for long sleeve.
00:04:15And they can choose any outfit they want from the store.
00:04:20Oh, I like them.
00:04:21This is very much my style. I love colour.
00:04:24Each set of twins will then reveal their outfits side by side.
00:04:28This is so much fun.
00:04:29And we'll be able to see how closely they match.
00:04:35I reckon we'll both like these ones.
00:04:37Well, Marcel, we'll find out shortly.
00:04:39I think I'm going to go that way.
00:04:41I'm going to go to that shirt straight away. You're on the money.
00:04:42Because now it's time for the other twins in the blue group to make their choices.
00:04:47What do you reckon? Just got the one section, boys.
00:04:49Yeah, nice and easy.
00:04:50Nice and easy, yeah.
00:04:52There's a lot of colour. It's not really my style.
00:04:55I think I'm going to go for this one.
00:04:57They're the ones.
00:04:59But now I need a top.
00:05:01Styles are pretty much the same still.
00:05:03So it's funny because we'll go the same style, but we'll end up getting different colours.
00:05:08That is, unless Marcel and Jim are on the job, then their choice of colour is highly visible.
00:05:14Hi, I'm Marcel.
00:05:16Hey, I'm Jimmy.
00:05:17We're 32.
00:05:18And we're the Chinese twins.
00:05:20What the?
00:05:21You keep changing it.
00:05:23Least favourite thing about being a twin is, okay, yeah, I've got clothes missing and I'll 100% blame him straight away.
00:05:32We buy from the same store.
00:05:34But he gets one brand, I get the other.
00:05:36We even wear, like, the same style of clothing.
00:05:40Different brands.
00:05:42Same, same, but different.
00:05:44From the entire store, Marcel and Jim could have chosen any outfit.
00:05:49Probably not those ones, though.
00:05:50And we're about to see if they are same, same, or different.
00:05:58Drum roll, please.
00:06:03Oh, come on, man.
00:06:06Alright, alright.
00:06:08Pretty close, pretty close.
00:06:10Your one, your one looks, your one actually looks better.
00:06:12Nah, pretty close, though.
00:06:14Marcel and Jim both chose dark jeans, white tees and denim shirts.
00:06:21Not sure about that hat and sunnies, though, Marcel.
00:06:28Now, Marcel and Jim, that was pretty similar.
00:06:31If it was to do with colours, we want it, but not really.
00:06:34Oh, you want the trophy now, do you?
00:06:36I'll take it.
00:06:38Right, well, back to the fashion.
00:06:41Let's see who will make the most identical fashion choices.
00:06:45Former flight attendants, Tim and Nick, used to wear the same uniform, but have they picked the same clothes?
00:06:55Oh, my God!
00:06:57Wow, way off base.
00:06:59Very different.
00:07:00This is not what I've repeated at all.
00:07:02I've never seen you wear that.
00:07:07Now it's the wildlife twins, Bridget and Sophie.
00:07:10No!
00:07:12And their clothing choices could be described as more functional than fashion.
00:07:16It's a good day when I have a little bit of poop on my clothes compared to a lot of poop, animal poop.
00:07:20Yeah.
00:07:21Look, I'm going to say I have the better dress sense, but we are very, very different with our dress sense.
00:07:26But in saying that, practically, on par.
00:07:29How about that?
00:07:30She'll be happy with that.
00:07:35Oh!
00:07:37Oh!
00:07:39I think I picked up the same coloured shirt.
00:07:43Wow!
00:07:44Denim shorts, very similar shirts, and they both chose sunnies.
00:07:50Next up, Jason and Jayden.
00:07:52These boys live at home, both work for supermarkets, and of course...
00:07:56Son!
00:07:58...they make TikTok videos together.
00:08:00I would say me and Jason do dress the same.
00:08:02Our parents used to go to Best in Less and get a two-for-one deal.
00:08:07I would not be surprised if me and my brother come out of the change room with the same outfit as me and him tend to have the same type of fashion.
00:08:14Being twins, we do have a twin telepathy in, like, our fashion sense.
00:08:17When we go into, like, just any shop, we both go to the same section and we're both fighting for one piece of clothing.
00:08:24Well, let's put their telepathy to the test.
00:08:30Wow!
00:08:31Oh, my God.
00:08:32Oh, my God.
00:08:33I'm so surprised.
00:08:34Oh, my God.
00:08:35He went for the hat as well.
00:08:36I didn't know if he was going to pick the hat, but...
00:08:38Yeah, I thought definitely you were going to come out with this shirt.
00:08:40But I don't know what happened to you.
00:08:41I have that exact shirt, and I was like, oh, my God, I should have put it on.
00:08:45Both chose white tees and black jeans, which they both rolled up.
00:08:50Why are you wearing a hat for?
00:08:52It's Jayden.
00:08:53Jason, Jayden, are you...
00:08:54Oh, my God, you're an idiot.
00:08:5527-year-olds Jamie and Steph found this challenge a little daunting.
00:09:02And remarkably, this was the first time they've ever shopped apart.
00:09:06We have the same job.
00:09:08We also have the same future goals, like go travelling, have a farm together.
00:09:13We have pets and animals and everything.
00:09:16Aww.
00:09:19Let's see if a lifetime spent doing everything together equates to identical fashion choices.
00:09:26Oh, so nice.
00:09:28Oh, they picked the same pants though.
00:09:30Yeah.
00:09:31Oh, yes.
00:09:33They picked the exact same pair of jeans, but their shirts are different.
00:09:39Next, it's singing sisters Janet and Sonja.
00:09:43Wow, of course.
00:09:44The shirts are different colours, but other than that, they're the same.
00:09:56They also both chose white pants and white tees in slightly different styles.
00:10:02I chose both of these and I tried them both.
00:10:04So did I.
00:10:07Lots of similarities there, but our next set of twins might just do things differently.
00:10:12Daisy and Aurora live in different states, and of our top eight twins, these two have spent the most time apart.
00:10:18But as soon as they were old enough, Daisy and Aurora made a conscious decision to find their own fashion looks.
00:10:26As children, Aurora and I were dressed very similar.
00:10:29We still have similar things in common, but we are very different in how we express ourselves in our clothing.
00:10:35Hi, classic.
00:10:36I fully knew that's what you would do.
00:10:37You look like a bit of fairy floss.
00:10:38Yeah.
00:10:39Yeah.
00:10:40Very fairy floss colours.
00:10:41Yeah, the shoes, Daisy.
00:10:42Yes, very Daisy.
00:10:43Yes.
00:10:44I think this is definitely our styles summed up.
00:10:45Yep.
00:10:46Daisy and Aurora, you guys clearly have very different tastes.
00:10:47Has it always been like that?
00:10:48I think once we got to that age where we had a little bit of spending money, we instantly would just go into a shop and go, woo, opposite directions.
00:11:01So is there a reason for that, the difference you think?
00:11:02We only found out we were identical about six months ago.
00:11:03So I think always thinking that we were fraternal, it was like we always had to have our own identity.
00:11:20Yeah.
00:11:21So I think we kind of...
00:11:22We had permission to develop our own unique styles.
00:11:25Now, Geoff, is it common that twins at birth are wrongly labelled as non-identical?
00:11:31Yes.
00:11:32Up to a third of twins either don't know or are misinformed whether they're identical or fraternal.
00:11:39If identical twins look at all different or behave different, even slightly, people have said, oh, you can't be identical.
00:11:46When we were born, they said there's only one or two options that you could be, you're a fraternal or you're identical.
00:11:52And it wasn't until a viral TikTok video, we had a lot of commenters saying, I think you need to do a DNA test.
00:11:58So we finally did it and...
00:11:59Turns out we're identical.
00:12:00Yeah.
00:12:01Surely you knew you were identical.
00:12:02Surely.
00:12:03You're identical.
00:12:04We've heard it before, but it was cool to get that final answer and really know down to the decimal point.
00:12:1299.999999 something percent identical.
00:12:16It was kind of cool.
00:12:17Yeah.
00:12:18Teacher twins from WA Yvette and Linda are up next.
00:12:24Now, many twins whose parents dress them to match when they're younger choose to dress differently as soon as they can make their own decisions.
00:12:31But when, as adults, you spend a lot of time in the same environment, it's not always so simple.
00:12:37I remember being dressed the same as little girls and we never really developed our own sort of identity, I don't think.
00:12:48With more experience at being twins than anyone else in the top eight, they have at times lived quite different lives.
00:12:55Will that be reflected in their fashion sense?
00:12:59I'm picking what I really love more so than what she would probably be.
00:13:04But there's so many things to choose from.
00:13:06One outfit is not enough.
00:13:08One outfit is not enough.
00:13:22One outfit is not enough to be a go-to-go-to-go-to-go-to-go-to-go-to-go-to-go-to-go-to-go-to-go-to-go.
00:13:23Linda!
00:13:25You're the same!
00:13:27But you didn't get the glasses?
00:13:28No.
00:13:30I can't believe it!
00:13:32A picture of sartorial splendour.
00:13:36Now, that's a perfect match for Yvette and Linda.
00:13:38They are clearly the most identical in this challenge
00:13:41and look like strong contenders
00:13:44for one of the spots in our top three.
00:13:47Yvette and Linda.
00:13:48Now, that was spooky.
00:13:50It was very interesting
00:13:51because growing up as a kid,
00:13:53I remember Mum saying,
00:13:54you have to stay and wear the same clothes until you're 13.
00:13:58And then the day came when we turned 13
00:14:01and I didn't know.
00:14:02I had no idea how to shop
00:14:04because it was always bought for us.
00:14:06And the same thing.
00:14:07And now we will still pretty much wear similar style.
00:14:13I'm probably a little bit louder, but same colours.
00:14:16That's because you're a primary school teacher
00:14:17and I'm a high school teacher.
00:14:18You're so different, aren't you?
00:14:19Oh, we're so different.
00:14:20We're very different.
00:14:21But it blew us away.
00:14:23It spooked me a lot.
00:14:26All right.
00:14:27Time to decide who performed best in the fashion challenge.
00:14:32Boys, Bridget and Sophie,
00:14:35you weren't really matchy-matchy,
00:14:37but you were close.
00:14:38You did well.
00:14:39Janice and Sonia and Jason and Jaden.
00:14:43Well done.
00:14:43Almost identical.
00:14:44Almost identical.
00:14:46But Yvette and Linda, super effort.
00:14:49You were absolutely identical.
00:14:52It was incredible.
00:14:53It was remarkable.
00:14:55Considering how big that store was
00:14:57and how much ladies' wear there was,
00:15:00I found that really remarkable.
00:15:02Well done, ladies.
00:15:05We'll add those results to the mix
00:15:07and there's plenty more to come.
00:15:11Next.
00:15:12Have any of you thought about what it would be like
00:15:14to be alone?
00:15:15Just how connected are these identical twins?
00:15:19Not having that person that will understand
00:15:20all those feelings,
00:15:21like I think there's no one else that knows you
00:15:23like your twin.
00:15:24Plus.
00:15:25I once was like...
00:15:30the last chance to make the top three
00:15:32as the twins step in front of the microphone.
00:15:36Make it stop.
00:15:38Then, can they convince others
00:15:40that they're the same person?
00:15:42Because our dad can't even tell us apart.
00:15:43Kids can't tell us apart.
00:15:45And at the end of the night,
00:15:47we'll crown Australia's most identical.
00:15:50You know what?
00:16:02I do believe that we have
00:16:04some sort of superpower here.
00:16:05We got separated at the Easter show
00:16:06and I think my phone was dead
00:16:07and I was just thinking in my head,
00:16:09if I was Jason, where would I be?
00:16:11Tim burnt his thumb at Macca's
00:16:14and I didn't even know what happened.
00:16:18But you started to get that pain.
00:16:19And I started getting a pain radiating in my thumb.
00:16:20Stood in one spot at this, like,
00:16:22next to this ride and I was like,
00:16:24I waited there for two minutes
00:16:25and what do you know, he rocked up.
00:16:27As we're driving,
00:16:28to start singing a song out of nowhere
00:16:29and she will start singing the song
00:16:31at the same time, same song,
00:16:34at the same place, in the same key.
00:16:36Long behold, Tim rang.
00:16:37Mum said, hey, I need to go to the hospital.
00:16:39I severely burnt my thumb.
00:16:40And that's when my mum goes,
00:16:41how did you know?
00:16:42I said, I just knew there was something
00:16:43going on in my thumb.
00:16:44And you're like, yeah, that's a superpower.
00:16:46How can that not be a superpower?
00:16:47Good for nothing,
00:16:49but it's a superpower.
00:16:55Welcome back to Australia's most identical.
00:16:58Now, as a dad of twins,
00:17:00there's one question I hear
00:17:01more than anything else.
00:17:03Can my twins read each other's minds?
00:17:08Yes, I can.
00:17:10Tim and Nick,
00:17:11do you guys buy into
00:17:12the old mind-reading twins thing?
00:17:15Um, yeah, in a sense we do.
00:17:18I don't think it's so much mind-reading
00:17:19as a, like a sixth sense.
00:17:21It's almost like a feeling.
00:17:23So Tim will be driving home,
00:17:25then I'll be at home by myself,
00:17:26singing a song,
00:17:27and this could be two, three hours
00:17:29after the fact,
00:17:30but he will pick up that exact song
00:17:31from where I finished at.
00:17:32Wow.
00:17:33Yeah.
00:17:34Well, Sarah, on that note,
00:17:35is there any science
00:17:36to support twin telepathy?
00:17:38No.
00:17:38No.
00:17:39Come on, Sarah.
00:17:42So it's a controversial issue in science.
00:17:46There's no evidence for telepathy,
00:17:48and in scientific circles,
00:17:50it's been largely dismissed.
00:17:53But about 20% of identical twins
00:17:56report this kind of telepathic experience.
00:18:00It's thought to be due to a deep empathy
00:18:04or shared emotional experience,
00:18:08and it turns out that it's more common in twins
00:18:10who have that really strong attachment
00:18:13and a positive relationship.
00:18:15Yeah.
00:18:15That's definitely Tim and I to it.
00:18:17Yeah, that's definitely us.
00:18:17Yeah, absolutely.
00:18:19Well, my wife and I have been together
00:18:20for 33 years,
00:18:21and I feel as though, through nurture,
00:18:24that we have mental telepathy.
00:18:26She thinks of something,
00:18:27and I'm thinking of something,
00:18:28and we mention that,
00:18:29and it's a really odd thing.
00:18:31Happens probably three or four times a fortnight.
00:18:33It's actually quite a lot.
00:18:34A lot.
00:18:35Yeah.
00:18:35Is it a good thing?
00:18:36Well, sometimes you might say,
00:18:39are you thinking about that girl
00:18:39that's walking past there?
00:18:42That's not true.
00:18:43OK, well, let's put that to the test.
00:18:45It's time to get creative.
00:18:48In our next challenge,
00:18:49we'll take a look at how in sync
00:18:51our identical twins are creatively.
00:18:53We sent them into an art studio
00:18:55and gave each twin a blank canvas
00:18:57along with a list of items to choose from.
00:19:01They were asked to paint a work of art
00:19:03featuring four items from the list.
00:19:05We wanted to see
00:19:06if they would select the same items
00:19:08and make similar artistic choices.
00:19:13Our twins could choose four items
00:19:15from the sky,
00:19:17mountains,
00:19:19trees,
00:19:19a river,
00:19:21a house,
00:19:22a person,
00:19:23or a pet.
00:19:25To make our top three,
00:19:26they'll need to match
00:19:27as many items as possible
00:19:29in their paintings.
00:19:31First up are TikTokers,
00:19:33Jason and Jayden.
00:19:34Now, they entered this challenge
00:19:35with a superpower.
00:19:37I think definitely
00:19:37we do have a bit of twin telepathy
00:19:39going on,
00:19:39and I can sense already
00:19:41what his four pictures will be.
00:19:43He's going to draw
00:19:43the four same things
00:19:45I thought of.
00:19:46The sky,
00:19:47trees,
00:19:48a dog,
00:19:48and a house.
00:19:49All right,
00:19:54ready?
00:19:54All right,
00:19:54three,
00:19:55two,
00:19:55one.
00:19:57Oh!
00:20:00Oh, my God,
00:20:01what is that?
00:20:02Looks like it's done
00:20:02by an elementary kid.
00:20:05A house,
00:20:06trees,
00:20:06and the sky,
00:20:08and the dog.
00:20:09That is four out of four.
00:20:11Clearly,
00:20:11a deep connection
00:20:12between the boys.
00:20:13LAUGHTER
00:20:14Next,
00:20:16Tim and Nick.
00:20:17It's like we're in
00:20:19junior school again.
00:20:20I know.
00:20:21Remarkably,
00:20:22they both started
00:20:23their painting with clouds.
00:20:24I like that I can't see yours.
00:20:25That's what I like.
00:20:26Painted the same number
00:20:28of clouds
00:20:28and in exactly
00:20:30the same style.
00:20:31Ooh!
00:20:33Why did you start off with that?
00:20:34Yeah, I started with that.
00:20:35Oh!
00:20:35Yeah.
00:20:36Do you know what's going to be funny?
00:20:37Yeah.
00:20:38I feel like you're going to depict
00:20:39a person,
00:20:40I feel like,
00:20:40in the same way as me
00:20:41because of our values.
00:20:43That's what I think, anyway.
00:20:45Let's see what we've done.
00:20:45All right,
00:20:46here we go.
00:20:46We're going to be the same.
00:20:48Oh, my God!
00:20:49So, I'm guessing
00:20:50that is Mum?
00:20:52Yes.
00:20:52Mum.
00:20:53Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:20:53With the hair.
00:20:54That is absolutely hilarious
00:20:55how you've done two colours
00:20:55in the hair,
00:20:56and so did I.
00:20:57Clutching at straws,
00:20:58the boys.
00:20:59LAUGHTER
00:21:00In addition to both
00:21:02painting their mum,
00:21:03Tim and Nick
00:21:04painted the sky
00:21:05and a house,
00:21:06giving them
00:21:06three out of four
00:21:07identical items.
00:21:09Look,
00:21:10I think their mum
00:21:10would be quite proud
00:21:11of these paintings.
00:21:12Hmm.
00:21:13Their high school art teacher,
00:21:15not so much.
00:21:15LAUGHTER
00:21:16Our next duo
00:21:18busting to let
00:21:19their creativity flow
00:21:21are school teachers
00:21:22Yvette and Linda.
00:21:23This is much better
00:21:25than school painting.
00:21:26Ah, yes.
00:21:27I think my painting
00:21:28will have parts
00:21:30that are similar
00:21:30of Yvette's.
00:21:32Yeah.
00:21:33Similar,
00:21:34but not similar.
00:21:36Now,
00:21:36I'm impressed.
00:21:38Time for the big reveal.
00:21:40Are you ready?
00:21:41Yep.
00:21:41Are you sure about this?
00:21:42Yep.
00:21:42OK,
00:21:43go.
00:21:44Oh!
00:21:46No way!
00:21:47Oh,
00:21:48thank you.
00:21:49Oh,
00:21:50my God.
00:21:51Oh,
00:21:51I think they're amazing.
00:21:53I think they're
00:21:54really similar.
00:21:55What's this person?
00:21:56That's you!
00:21:57Oh!
00:21:58There's you
00:21:58in the Gungarees.
00:21:59I don't like
00:22:01the word
00:22:01telepathy.
00:22:02I think
00:22:03there is
00:22:04insightfulness
00:22:05being a twin.
00:22:06Connection.
00:22:07It's a connection.
00:22:07Oh,
00:22:07understanding
00:22:08of what our thoughts are.
00:22:10Well,
00:22:10whatever you call it,
00:22:11Yvette and Linda
00:22:12were bang on
00:22:13painting the same
00:22:14four items.
00:22:16A house,
00:22:17a tree,
00:22:18the sky,
00:22:19and their fellow twin.
00:22:20Do you think
00:22:24that you're good
00:22:25at painting?
00:22:26Nope.
00:22:28Daisy and Aurora
00:22:29pride themselves
00:22:30on lives
00:22:30that are separate.
00:22:32I'm done.
00:22:33Let's reveal.
00:22:34OK,
00:22:34go.
00:22:35When their paintings
00:22:36were joined up...
00:22:37That's really good.
00:22:39Ooh!
00:22:41They gave us
00:22:42one of the freakiest
00:22:43moments of the day.
00:22:44Look at them
00:22:45join up.
00:22:48Oh!
00:22:48However,
00:22:50Daisy and Aurora
00:22:51only painted
00:22:52two items the same,
00:22:53the mountains
00:22:54and the sky.
00:22:55I reckon we're
00:22:56going pretty similar.
00:22:56Yeah.
00:22:57Jamie and Stephanie
00:22:58started out confidently.
00:23:00I'm feeling like a vibe.
00:23:02I think
00:23:02Jamie would be
00:23:04drawing a bunny.
00:23:07Ready,
00:23:07shall we?
00:23:08Yeah.
00:23:08Any?
00:23:09Go.
00:23:11I knew it.
00:23:13Steph was right.
00:23:14It was the pet bunnies
00:23:15that look a lot like dogs.
00:23:18Let's call it
00:23:18artistic interpretation
00:23:19and unfortunately
00:23:21they only got
00:23:22one out of four.
00:23:24You're making
00:23:25a bit of a mess
00:23:25over there.
00:23:26Oh,
00:23:26huge mess.
00:23:27The animal theme
00:23:28continued
00:23:29with wildlife warriors
00:23:30Bridget and Sophie.
00:23:32Both painted
00:23:33the latest addition
00:23:35to their family.
00:23:36Oh!
00:23:36Oh yeah!
00:23:37Oh yeah!
00:23:38Barty the wombat.
00:23:40Sophie had her zoom on.
00:23:41I was wide shot.
00:23:44Barty,
00:23:45plus trees and water,
00:23:46gave them
00:23:46three out of four.
00:23:48So we'll start
00:23:49the bidding
00:23:49at $20.
00:23:52Up next,
00:23:54super competitive
00:23:54Marcel and Jim
00:23:55who seem to treat art
00:23:57just like sport.
00:23:59I guess when you
00:23:59grow up with someone
00:24:01that looks like you,
00:24:02acts like you,
00:24:03everything you do
00:24:04you start comparing.
00:24:05So everything's
00:24:06a competition,
00:24:07everything's got
00:24:08who's better at this,
00:24:09who's better at that.
00:24:11I reckon I've beaten you
00:24:11in this.
00:24:12We'll find out
00:24:13in 30 seconds.
00:24:15Ready for the big reveal?
00:24:17Okay.
00:24:17Oh, oh, oh.
00:24:24Oh, wow.
00:24:26Another classic example
00:24:28of artistic interpretation.
00:24:30They scored
00:24:30three out of four
00:24:32a house,
00:24:32trees and mountains
00:24:33while Jim opted
00:24:35for a sort of horse.
00:24:38Jim's clearly embraced
00:24:39expressionism here.
00:24:41It looks like
00:24:41one of those
00:24:42panto horses
00:24:42with two people inside.
00:24:44Oh, look,
00:24:44and he's even signed it.
00:24:46That's bound to add value
00:24:47in the years to come.
00:24:49I feel like a real artist.
00:24:51Our final twins
00:24:52are singing sisters,
00:24:54Janice and Sonia,
00:24:55and they attribute
00:24:56their creativity
00:24:57to their upbringing.
00:24:58Our parents,
00:24:59they're very creative.
00:25:00They're very good
00:25:01with anything
00:25:02to do with creativity.
00:25:04Like, they can create
00:25:04something and it's
00:25:05just amazing.
00:25:06And I think that
00:25:07definitely trickle into us.
00:25:08I feel like
00:25:10she might go
00:25:12with the softer colours,
00:25:13maybe, like, purple.
00:25:14Oh, wow.
00:25:15Mm, red.
00:25:17Can you see my, um,
00:25:19painting?
00:25:20You can't see it, right?
00:25:20I can't see it.
00:25:22Um, but I think
00:25:23she would have used
00:25:23some red in her sky
00:25:25if she did a sky.
00:25:28Okay, let's go.
00:25:29Start the bidding
00:25:36at $2,000.
00:25:38Sold to the highest bidder.
00:25:40Amazing.
00:25:41Janice and Sonia
00:25:42are creative all-rounders.
00:25:44Three out of four,
00:25:45but certainly
00:25:46the pick of the day.
00:25:48That was really interesting.
00:25:50There's nothing else like it,
00:25:51this kind of connection
00:25:52in the world
00:25:52and how lucky we are
00:25:53to be twins.
00:25:56Yeah, come on!
00:25:58Well, some of those
00:26:00paintings were appalling.
00:26:02No, I'm not looking
00:26:03at you, boys.
00:26:07It's tough to judge art,
00:26:09but we were looking
00:26:10at how many items
00:26:11you matched.
00:26:12So on that basis,
00:26:12there were two pairs
00:26:13who matched
00:26:14four out of four items
00:26:15and painted them
00:26:16in a remarkably
00:26:17similar way.
00:26:19So the top spot
00:26:19goes to Yvette and Linda.
00:26:23Well done.
00:26:26Oh, my gosh!
00:26:27And Jason and Jaden.
00:26:29Well done.
00:26:30Great work.
00:26:30Nice work!
00:26:32All right,
00:26:34let's keep going
00:26:35with that theme
00:26:36of twin connection.
00:26:38So, ladies and gentlemen,
00:26:39this is a question
00:26:40for everybody.
00:26:42And this is a tough question.
00:26:43Have any of you thought
00:26:48about what it would be
00:26:49like to be alone
00:26:51if one of your siblings
00:26:53passed away
00:26:54and you were on your own?
00:26:57Have you thought
00:26:57about that?
00:27:01Never think about it.
00:27:02Never think about it.
00:27:03Ever.
00:27:04It's amazing
00:27:05you never think
00:27:06about that.
00:27:07Yvette,
00:27:08you've had cancer.
00:27:10Linda,
00:27:10you've never considered it.
00:27:12That is one thing
00:27:13that I never thought of.
00:27:14Me either.
00:27:15I never ever thought
00:27:16she was going to,
00:27:17you know,
00:27:17pop off the perch.
00:27:18No,
00:27:19and I never thought
00:27:20I would leave Linda
00:27:21on her own.
00:27:22I knew that death
00:27:24could happen,
00:27:25but I never,
00:27:26ever thought of
00:27:27my sister on her own.
00:27:28That would have killed me.
00:27:31We think about it
00:27:32all the time,
00:27:33like how it'd be,
00:27:33because we go
00:27:34to the twin festivals
00:27:34in Melbourne
00:27:35and they've got a section
00:27:36for ones that have lost
00:27:37their other half
00:27:39and it's really sad
00:27:40because they're just
00:27:42all there
00:27:43and they're only going
00:27:44because they want
00:27:45to be surrounded
00:27:46by twins
00:27:46because they've
00:27:47lost their partner.
00:27:49This is a conversation
00:27:50that we had recently
00:27:51because we,
00:27:52like everyone else,
00:27:53we don't like to think
00:27:53about that.
00:27:54It's not a comfortable
00:27:54thought to have,
00:27:55but we actually
00:27:56had that conversation
00:27:57and we were like,
00:27:57you know what,
00:27:58if anything happens,
00:27:59I'll take care of your kids
00:28:00and you take care of my kids.
00:28:01It's like she's an extension
00:28:02of me,
00:28:03so her children are also
00:28:05naturally,
00:28:05they feel like an extension
00:28:06of me too.
00:28:07It's so funny
00:28:08talking about this
00:28:09because I know
00:28:10instantly we'll get emotional.
00:28:12We don't like to show
00:28:13our love for each other
00:28:14that often,
00:28:15but we are the worst
00:28:16criers together.
00:28:17That's why she knocked me.
00:28:18She's like,
00:28:19don't you get emotional.
00:28:20But we've actually
00:28:22talked about
00:28:22what would happen
00:28:23if one of us
00:28:24lost each other
00:28:24and I think
00:28:25we more so just do that
00:28:26because we just want
00:28:27to know that
00:28:27whoever's left
00:28:29is going to be okay,
00:28:32I guess.
00:28:36And we've talked
00:28:37about things down to
00:28:38what song
00:28:39you'd like to play
00:28:40at your funeral.
00:28:40Oh my.
00:28:42Crikey.
00:28:42But I know
00:28:43that's a really scary
00:28:44thing to talk about.
00:28:45But you've got to just do it.
00:28:46Yeah, because
00:28:47who else is going to know that?
00:28:49I'd love for her
00:28:49to choose
00:28:50a way to celebrate
00:28:51my life
00:28:52in a way that feels
00:28:53authentic to me
00:28:54and she's the only person
00:28:55that would know that.
00:28:55not having that person
00:28:58that will understand
00:28:59all those feelings
00:29:00like I think all of us
00:29:01as twins
00:29:01can relate to that.
00:29:03There's no one else
00:29:03that knows you
00:29:04like your twin.
00:29:05Next, our top eight
00:29:13step in front
00:29:14of the microphone
00:29:15to see if they
00:29:17sound the same.
00:29:18Impossible to tell you
00:29:19to a part.
00:29:20Some are identically good.
00:29:22Just about
00:29:23spot on.
00:29:24Some are not.
00:29:26Make it stop.
00:29:27Welcome back
00:29:39to Australia's
00:29:39Most Identical.
00:29:41Our next challenge
00:29:41would be a big struggle
00:29:43for someone like me
00:29:44who can't sing at all.
00:29:46Because it's a singing challenge
00:29:48and I'm glad I'm not involved
00:29:50in this one.
00:29:50But Sarah,
00:29:51I believe that this is
00:29:52in your wheelhouse.
00:29:53Yes.
00:29:54Some of my research
00:29:55looks at singing ability
00:29:56in twins
00:29:57and we've included
00:29:59this in this challenge.
00:30:00The idea is
00:30:01to look at how closely
00:30:02you hit the note
00:30:04in your singing.
00:30:05Even if they're
00:30:05a long way apart,
00:30:07if they're similarly
00:30:08a long way apart,
00:30:09well, that's identical.
00:30:11So actually,
00:30:12it doesn't matter
00:30:13how bad or good
00:30:14this lot are at singing.
00:30:15That's correct.
00:30:16That's probably
00:30:17a good thing.
00:30:18So let's find out
00:30:19who is the most
00:30:20identically talented
00:30:21or identically
00:30:23tone deaf.
00:30:26Now, Chris
00:30:27fancies himself
00:30:28as a bit of a singer.
00:30:29Well, look,
00:30:30I'm not quite
00:30:31Michael Bublé
00:30:32but let's just say
00:30:33if I hadn't gone
00:30:33to medical school,
00:30:34things might have
00:30:35turned out quite
00:30:36differently, Zand.
00:30:37Musical ability
00:30:38is around 50% genetic.
00:30:40Several genes
00:30:41are linked
00:30:42to music memory
00:30:43and to pitch
00:30:44but other factors
00:30:45of course contribute
00:30:46like access
00:30:47to music lessons
00:30:47and how much
00:30:48your friends
00:30:49and family
00:30:49are into music.
00:30:50For this challenge,
00:30:54we sent our top eight
00:30:55to a recording studio
00:30:57under the watch
00:30:57of psychologist
00:30:58Daniel Yom.
00:31:00He studies
00:31:00the genetic basis
00:31:02of singing ability.
00:31:04Initial testing
00:31:04showed that
00:31:05the difference in pitch
00:31:06between each set of twins
00:31:07in the top eight
00:31:07is within a semitone
00:31:09of each other,
00:31:10the smallest
00:31:10interval in music.
00:31:11But we wanted
00:31:13to look even more closely
00:31:14and find out
00:31:15the difference
00:31:16within a semitone.
00:31:17The smaller the percentage,
00:31:18the higher the chance
00:31:20they'll make our top three.
00:31:22Now first up
00:31:23are Janice and Sonia.
00:31:25They've performed
00:31:26in front of thousands.
00:31:27We had the opportunity
00:31:28to travel the world
00:31:29and perform
00:31:30which has been amazing
00:31:31but we had to kind of
00:31:33slow that down
00:31:34once we had kids.
00:31:35Today though,
00:31:36it's just Daniel.
00:31:37So the first thing
00:31:38I'd like you guys to do
00:31:39is sing a familiar song.
00:31:41In this case,
00:31:42it'll be
00:31:42Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
00:31:43Each set
00:31:44of the top eight twins
00:31:45will be recorded
00:31:46singing individually.
00:31:47Twinkle, twinkle
00:31:49little star
00:31:51How I wonder
00:31:53what you are
00:31:55And then together.
00:31:57Twinkle, twinkle
00:31:58little star
00:32:00How I wonder
00:32:02Same note exactly,
00:32:04that's a 0% difference
00:32:05and every percentage
00:32:07point increase
00:32:08after that
00:32:08is a minute variation.
00:32:10That was fascinating.
00:32:12It was impossible
00:32:13to tell you two apart.
00:32:15Janice and Sonia
00:32:15not only sound amazing,
00:32:17they're within
00:32:185% of each other.
00:32:20That difference
00:32:21is imperceptible
00:32:21to the human ear
00:32:22which is why
00:32:23they sound identical.
00:32:25There were times
00:32:26where I was like
00:32:26wait, no,
00:32:27there's two people there.
00:32:28Right.
00:32:29It's one of those things
00:32:30where we've
00:32:31noticed when we were
00:32:32very young
00:32:32when we'd sing together
00:32:33and when we were
00:32:34in perfect pitch together
00:32:36we hear like waves,
00:32:37we feel like waves.
00:32:38Yeah.
00:32:39Does it sound like
00:32:40warbling?
00:32:41Yes, it does.
00:32:42So that's a phenomenon
00:32:43called beating.
00:32:44So let's say
00:32:44you're both singing
00:32:45the same note
00:32:46but you're ever
00:32:46so slightly different.
00:32:48What happens
00:32:48is that the sound waves
00:32:49overlap
00:32:50and that phenomenon
00:32:51essentially is why
00:32:52you hear it warble.
00:32:53Oh my gosh,
00:32:54it's so good
00:32:54to have an explanation
00:32:55of what we've been
00:32:57hearing all our lives.
00:32:58Would you be game
00:32:59to sing another
00:33:01familiar song for us,
00:33:03specifically
00:33:03Amazing Grace
00:33:04and if possible
00:33:06can you harmonise
00:33:07with each other?
00:33:08Ooh.
00:33:09We can try our best.
00:33:11Yeah, go for it.
00:33:12Okay.
00:33:12Amazing Grace
00:33:17How sweet the sound
00:33:22That saved a wretch
00:33:28Like me
00:33:31I once
00:33:36Was lost
00:33:39But now
00:33:41Am found
00:33:43Was blind
00:33:46But now
00:33:49I see
00:33:51I guess that was the key.
00:33:56Yeah, it sure was.
00:33:58Unfortunately,
00:34:00it's now time
00:34:00for a change of tune.
00:34:02Janice and Sonia
00:34:03are a tough act
00:34:04to follow
00:34:04and not all
00:34:06of the twins
00:34:06were as close
00:34:07but they were similar.
00:34:08Oh wow.
00:34:09Look at this.
00:34:10And there's a good reason.
00:34:12Twinkle, twinkle
00:34:13little star
00:34:15The size and shape
00:34:16of vocal cords
00:34:17and the body's
00:34:18resonance chambers
00:34:19are determined
00:34:20by genetics.
00:34:21Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da
00:34:25It almost sounds
00:34:27like one voice.
00:34:28Da-da-da-da-da-da-da
00:34:32Plus, identical twins
00:34:33often share similar experiences
00:34:35and social environments.
00:34:37That can shape
00:34:38their speaking patterns
00:34:39and make identical twins
00:34:40sound even more similar.
00:34:42Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da
00:34:43Da, da, da, da, da.
00:34:47Or similarly bad in our next Pairs case.
00:34:51You might want to turn down the volume for these guys.
00:34:55Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are.
00:35:01Up above the sky so high, like a diamond in the sky.
00:35:05Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are.
00:35:10Make it stop.
00:35:12Please make it stop.
00:35:13So the next task that I'd like to get you guys to do is an unfamiliar tune task.
00:35:18And I'll ask you guys to just imitate it as best as you can.
00:35:27Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da.
00:35:34Do you guys know what you were both singing?
00:35:36Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
00:35:37Not quite. You were singing Frere Jacques.
00:35:40Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I've heard it somewhere before.
00:35:43They've completely ignored what they were supposed to be singing.
00:35:47And luckily for Jason and Jaden, even if they're out of tune by the same amount, they're considered identical.
00:35:53Actually kind of fascinating is that you both end up singing exactly the same thing in exactly the same way.
00:35:58They registered a difference of 92%.
00:36:02That's the furthest apart of any of our twins so far.
00:36:07But they're still within a semitone of each other.
00:36:10It's close, just not close enough to be music to our ears.
00:36:14Jason and Jaden, what can I say?
00:36:18Apart from that you're barred from karaoke for life.
00:36:21Yeah, mate, I definitely think we won't be signing any record label deals anytime soon.
00:36:26Now, Sarah, is there such a thing as being tone deaf?
00:36:29Yes.
00:36:29Me. That's me.
00:36:30Me too.
00:36:31So, in the world of science, it's called Amusia.
00:36:35It affects about 3% of the population.
00:36:39Wow.
00:36:39We're in an elite group.
00:36:41We are.
00:36:41It basically is the inability to hear notes that are out of tune.
00:36:49And so the blessing is that people with Amusia can't hear that they're out of tune when they sing, however we can.
00:36:58Janice and Sonia, you guys sing like angels.
00:37:02Sarah, what are these waves that Janice and Sonia are describing?
00:37:05So, it's really interesting that you've noticed that.
00:37:09These waves, they happen when each of your sound waves that you're producing get closer and closer
00:37:18and they start interfering with each other.
00:37:21And so it just shows that you're actually really close.
00:37:24That's me.
00:37:27All right.
00:37:28Well, obviously, plenty more to unpack here after the break.
00:37:31Don't go anywhere.
00:37:32One, two, three.
00:37:34Next.
00:37:34Scotty, don't look.
00:37:35Don't look, Scotty.
00:37:36Don't look.
00:37:36Find out which set of twins' voices are even closer than Janice and Sonia's.
00:37:41I don't know what you are.
00:37:42It's not these two.
00:37:44Up in the low.
00:37:45Up the above.
00:37:47What was that voice?
00:37:48The last of the Top 8 Challenges concludes.
00:37:51Welcome back to Australia's Most Identical.
00:38:09And right now, we're looking for our most evenly matched twins when it comes to...
00:38:15Musicality.
00:38:17Why didn't you sing it?
00:38:18Psychologist Daniel Yom is putting the twins' vocal cords in front of the microphone and
00:38:29under the microscope.
00:38:31Running their voices through software, Daniel is able to work out, in percentage points,
00:38:35how close the twins' voices are to each other within a semitone, the smallest measurement
00:38:42in music.
00:38:44Hello.
00:38:45Independent sisters Daisy and Aurora were next, and they have some experience in singing
00:38:50and songwriting.
00:38:51I will take me back to the wintertime.
00:39:01Haven't heard this song for a while.
00:39:03I know.
00:39:03We wrote a song when we were, like, 16, called Wintertime.
00:39:09And then Aurora uploaded it to Triple J Unearthed, and it ended up getting into the finals, which
00:39:16was crazy.
00:39:18Yeah, that was probably one of the coolest things that's ever happened to us.
00:39:21What I'd like to get you guys to do today is essentially sing a couple of things.
00:39:35Okay.
00:39:35Oh.
00:39:36Oh, in sync there.
00:39:37Fantastic.
00:39:38Yeah.
00:39:38The first thing that I'd like to get you to do is to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
00:39:41How do you guys feel singing together?
00:39:56Oh, it's so nice to sing with each other.
00:39:58Yeah.
00:39:58Yeah, and it's weird, because I feel like when we sing, I think our voices, it just sounds
00:40:02like it blends into one.
00:40:04Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da.
00:40:08It's odd, like, hearing yourself in someone else.
00:40:11I'm really looking forward to looking at the data for this one and seeing how similar
00:40:15you guys are.
00:40:15You guys blend so seamlessly.
00:40:17So, thanks again for your time today.
00:40:19Thanks, Sam.
00:40:20Thanks, Sam.
00:40:23Now, if you thought the talents of Jason and Jaden had no equal, meet Marcel and Jim.
00:40:29Oh, no.
00:40:30Get me out of here.
00:40:31Scotty, don't look.
00:40:32That looks good.
00:40:32Don't watch.
00:40:33That looks good.
00:40:33Don't watch.
00:40:35We weren't really encouraged to sing as children.
00:40:37I think they just saw how much we loved, like, playing basketball, playing soccer, whatever
00:40:41it was, or handball or anything.
00:40:42We just, that's what they knew.
00:40:43Yeah, I think we kind of pushed towards more of that.
00:40:46So, one, two, three.
00:40:48Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are in a world of...
00:40:55Oh, shit.
00:40:56And the sky is so high.
00:40:57Singing wasn't the biggest hurdle the boys faced.
00:41:00Remembering the words was.
00:41:03Up above the world so high.
00:41:04Oh, okay.
00:41:04Yeah.
00:41:05Like a diamond in the sky.
00:41:07Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
00:41:08Up in the world...
00:41:10Above the...
00:41:10Above the...
00:41:10Above...
00:41:11Above the...
00:41:11Above the world so high.
00:41:13Okay, start from...
00:41:14Like a diamond in the sky.
00:41:15Got it.
00:41:15Okay.
00:41:15Up above the world so high.
00:41:17Like a diamond in the sky.
00:41:19Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
00:41:21How I wonder what you are.
00:41:23Boom!
00:41:24Yes!
00:41:24Get out of here!
00:41:26Get out of here!
00:41:27Woo-hoo!
00:41:29Marcel and Jim, whilst not great singers, had a respectable difference of 65%, well within
00:41:37a semitone of each other.
00:41:39What was that voice?
00:41:40Oh.
00:41:41Even your struggles were identical.
00:41:42Guess we win together and lose together.
00:41:46But you got it at the end and you high-fived.
00:41:48You loved it.
00:41:48Yeah, well, it was a struggle.
00:41:49Not there in the end.
00:41:50Definitely a struggle, yeah.
00:41:52I thought it was really fascinating to watch you, and although you weren't really hitting
00:41:57the notes, you were remarkably similar in how much you missed them by.
00:42:04It's amazing.
00:42:05You were both terrible.
00:42:07You would have known some of what we do, Scotty.
00:42:09Daisy and Aurora, how does singing together make you feel?
00:42:13It makes us feel really happy, I think.
00:42:15It's a good, like, stress reliever, and we naturally just do it in the car.
00:42:20We flick a song on, and we just belt it.
00:42:22We grew up singing together, and that's just something that we enjoyed doing together.
00:42:26I guess it brought us a bit of joy, and so maybe that's why we have such close voices.
00:42:32Yeah.
00:42:33Daisy and Aurora, you were remarkable.
00:42:36And when we looked at how close you were, within 2%, which is actually below what we
00:42:43can hear with the human ear.
00:42:46So, an amazing performance, guys.
00:42:48That's crazy.
00:42:50Wow.
00:42:50Ooh.
00:42:51When we looked at your data overall, top eight, actually remarkably similar, including Jim and
00:43:00Marcel and Jason and Jaden, all of you were within one semitone difference of each other.
00:43:10A semitone is the distance in sound between a black and a white note on the piano.
00:43:16So, really tight.
00:43:18Right.
00:43:19Well, let's break down the results of the music challenge and who performed equally well
00:43:23or equally badly.
00:43:27And our most identical, it's Daisy and Aurora, and Janice and Sonia.
00:43:33Great results.
00:43:34Well, after the break, we'll find out which of the top eight twins will become the top
00:43:45three and face our final and toughest test.
00:43:49Our top three have to dupe some unsuspecting punters into thinking they're the same person.
00:43:55Yes, trading places, it's going to be a lot of fun, and then we will crown Australia's
00:44:00most identical.
00:44:02Don't go anywhere.
00:44:20Welcome back to our search for Australia's most identical twins.
00:44:24Yeah.
00:44:25Knew it.
00:44:25Our top eight have been put to the test musically.
00:44:30Creatively.
00:44:31Oh, wow.
00:44:32Start scanning.
00:44:34And physically.
00:44:35Measuring minute differences.
00:44:37In the green, that's pretty much where you're identical.
00:44:39Wow.
00:44:40We've also explored their sense of fashion.
00:44:42Oh, my God.
00:44:44With some astonishing similarities.
00:44:46Ah!
00:44:47Oh, God!
00:44:49The data from all of our top 100, top 20, and now top eight tests and challenges has been
00:44:56analysed.
00:44:56And based on the results of all our testing, and in consultation with our experts, we can
00:45:02now reveal the top three sets of twins.
00:45:06These three pairs will move into our final round and decide who will be named Australia's
00:45:13most identical.
00:45:16The first twins through are wildlife warriors Bridget and Sophie.
00:45:24The 3D facial scanning put them head and shoulders above the rest.
00:45:30Western Australian teachers Yvette and Linda.
00:45:33They were the perfect match in the fashion challenge and creativity.
00:45:37And TikTok twosome Jason and Jaden.
00:45:41They shared the top spot in creativity and got nine out of ten in the Q&A.
00:45:46Bridget and Sophie, reckon you've got a chance at being the most identical?
00:45:52Look, we'll give it a good shot.
00:45:54We'll give it a red hot go, won't we?
00:45:56We'll do our best.
00:45:57Yeah.
00:45:58And what about you boys?
00:45:59Are you going to take home the trophy?
00:46:00I 100% think me and Jaden are Australia's most identical.
00:46:04We've done everything for 23 years of our life together.
00:46:0623 years of your life.
00:46:09Bring it on.
00:46:10Bring it on.
00:46:11Bring it on.
00:46:12Well done to all of you here and it's time to decide who will be named Australia's most
00:46:18identical.
00:46:19Everyone, you'll need to be really eagle-eyed.
00:46:23You reckon you can manage that, gang?
00:46:25Now let's see how you lot went in the final challenge we sent you.
00:46:30Over to you, doctors.
00:46:32Nuzal, do you remember when we were little and I didn't want to go to my friend's birthday
00:46:36party, so I sent him in my place?
00:46:38Yeah, that was brilliant.
00:46:39It fooled absolutely nobody.
00:46:42So for this challenge, we tasked our top three sets of twins with convincing someone that
00:46:47they are in fact the same person.
00:46:49They have to switch places at least twice and how well they perform will be judged by
00:46:53our audience.
00:46:55For this challenge, Jason and Jaden have to convince a complete stranger they're the same
00:47:00person.
00:47:01And it might sound simple, but not when you're on a date.
00:47:03Who's going to go first?
00:47:05I reckon I'll go first.
00:47:06Give me the jacket.
00:47:06All right, put it on.
00:47:08Jason and Jaden's challenge is to fool Natalia, who thinks she's taking part in a dating show.
00:47:13Don't say anything stupid out there.
00:47:15Don't blow our cover.
00:47:16I reckon say...
00:47:16Me, don't say anything stupid.
00:47:18You don't say anything stupid.
00:47:19Go.
00:47:19Don't blow it.
00:47:20Go.
00:47:20You look good.
00:47:21Jaden is heading out first while Jason waits out of sight.
00:47:28How are you going?
00:47:29Hi.
00:47:30Nice to meet you.
00:47:30Nice to meet you.
00:47:31I'm Nat.
00:47:32Did you say Jacob?
00:47:33Jaden.
00:47:33Jaden.
00:47:33What do you do for a living?
00:47:36I was straight into it.
00:47:38I do marketing for a gym.
00:47:41How good?
00:47:41Yeah.
00:47:42What do you do?
00:47:42Like, they're probably going to laugh at, like, just, like, part-time Woolies, part-time,
00:47:46like, bit of social media.
00:47:48They're only a couple of minutes into the date, and it looks like Jason is ready to swap out,
00:47:53albeit not so discreetly.
00:47:55Got, like, a million on TikTok.
00:47:57A million?
00:47:57I'm going to laugh at that, yeah, for sure, because that's a lot.
00:48:01How did you get that?
00:48:02Just do, like, stupid videos.
00:48:04Oh.
00:48:04Yeah.
00:48:05Like what?
00:48:06Just, like, pouring juice on yourself.
00:48:08No.
00:48:08Yeah.
00:48:09Yeah, I'm going to go get us a drink.
00:48:10Is that fine?
00:48:11Oh, okay.
00:48:11Yeah.
00:48:11Do, like, mocktails.
00:48:12Cocktails?
00:48:13Mocktails.
00:48:13Cocktails?
00:48:14Yeah.
00:48:14I'll get you something.
00:48:15Oh, yeah.
00:48:15Yeah.
00:48:15Okay.
00:48:16Yeah.
00:48:16Jason and Jaden are clearly wasting no time in attempting the first switch.
00:48:25Take it.
00:48:26Here, give it to me.
00:48:28How is she?
00:48:29It's good.
00:48:29She's head of marketing at a gym.
00:48:31Let's try this.
00:48:34I forgot his name.
00:48:36Don't worry, Natalia, it's Jaden.
00:48:38But for the rest of us, it's now Jason, who's heading back to the hot seat,
00:48:43pretending to be Jaden.
00:48:46Will these smooth-talking boys be able to pull it off?
00:48:50Hey.
00:48:51Hey.
00:48:51They didn't have, um, cocktails.
00:48:53They only had mocktails.
00:48:54Mocktails.
00:48:54We can do mocktails.
00:48:55What is it?
00:48:57Um, not sure.
00:48:58They just said waiter special, so I was like, sweet.
00:49:00Okay.
00:49:01You take it.
00:49:02Cheers.
00:49:02All right, well, cheers.
00:49:02Thank you for coming.
00:49:03No, thank you.
00:49:06Um, sorry.
00:49:08Sorry, I'm just really nervous.
00:49:10What do you do for a living again?
00:49:11I'm really sorry.
00:49:12Do you know what?
00:49:12I was going to ask you the same thing.
00:49:13What was your name?
00:49:14Do not say Jason.
00:49:18Um, my name's Jaden, but, uh...
00:49:21Jaden, do you want to know my name, or do you want me to...
00:49:24No, no, Natalia.
00:49:25Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:49:25Well done.
00:49:26Yeah, of course.
00:49:26Um, yeah, so I'm head of marketing for a gym.
00:49:30Oh, that's awesome.
00:49:31Yeah.
00:49:31Yeah.
00:49:31So I just work part-time at Kohl's and do part-time social media.
00:49:35Now, hold on, because Jason has just said a different supermarket name to his brother.
00:49:42This is what the real Jaden said.
00:49:44Part-time Woolies, part-time, like, bit of social media.
00:49:47And now, the pretend Jaden.
00:49:49So I just work part-time at Kohl's and do part-time social media.
00:49:53Let's hope Natalia didn't notice.
00:49:55Do you go out into the city much?
00:49:57Um, like, clubbing, not so much.
00:50:00I'm, like, a bit of a workaholic.
00:50:02It's good to say busy.
00:50:04Yeah, for sure.
00:50:05And have you got a family of how many people?
00:50:08Uh, just a family of, oh, I'm really sorry my mum's calling me.
00:50:10Can I just come back?
00:50:11Yeah, no, no.
00:50:11Sorry.
00:50:12That's all right.
00:50:12One second.
00:50:14So, this will be the second swap in just nine minutes.
00:50:18The boys must think they're speed dating.
00:50:21Did you say anything stupid?
00:50:23Probably, but, like, you can take over from here.
00:50:25Pass us the phone.
00:50:26Don't ask her what she does anymore.
00:50:29He's, like, left me twice now.
00:50:33I don't think he likes me.
00:50:36Is Natalia on to the boys?
00:50:38If Jason doesn't get busted here,
00:50:40this will be the required second change
00:50:42which they need to make in order to pass.
00:50:45I think that we've tricked her,
00:50:47but she was asking me what was my name,
00:50:49so I don't know if she's caught on a little bit.
00:50:53I'm so sorry.
00:50:55My parents are the worst, eh?
00:50:57Oh, are they?
00:50:58No, I don't know.
00:50:59Like, they just always check up on me and shit.
00:51:00Oh, that's really sweet of them.
00:51:02And have you got brothers and sisters?
00:51:04I've got a sister.
00:51:05Yeah, younger?
00:51:06Older sister, yeah.
00:51:06Older sister.
00:51:08Oh, did you order chips?
00:51:10Yeah, I did.
00:51:10Oh.
00:51:11You're going to hate me, but I've got to use the bathroom.
00:51:13You've got to go again.
00:51:14I'm sorry.
00:51:14No, that's cool.
00:51:15You go.
00:51:15Are you all right?
00:51:16No, yeah, I'm cool.
00:51:17On my own, I'll eat the chips.
00:51:18I'll come back in a second.
00:51:19No, that's cool.
00:51:20You go.
00:51:23Is this tactic of quick changes a vote-winning move,
00:51:26or have they been busted?
00:51:29Am I getting set up?
00:51:30Yeah, people around us always get us mixed up.
00:51:47Grumping into people in a shopping centre saying,
00:51:51oh, hi, Lyndon.
00:51:52It's like, no, sorry, I'm not Lyndon.
00:51:53And then they go, oh, you're rude.
00:51:55His friends will come to me and say, oh, hey, Jaden.
00:51:57I'll be like, mate, I don't know you.
00:51:59Talking to someone on the phone is probably the worst.
00:52:02They say our voices are very similar.
00:52:03I was working at Woolworths and someone came up to me
00:52:05and they're like, Jason, what are you doing here?
00:52:07And I was like, what?
00:52:08I was like, I'm Jaden, I work at Woolies.
00:52:10And he's like, oh, I work with your brother.
00:52:12And then he was so confused.
00:52:13He came up to me and he goes,
00:52:14oh, I bumped into your sister the other day
00:52:15and she didn't know it was me.
00:52:18She didn't, I didn't know you had a twin.
00:52:20And she said that, oh, it wasn't you
00:52:22and you weren't her and all this sort of thing.
00:52:24She was so confused.
00:52:29Welcome back to Australia's Most Identical.
00:52:32Now, we have asked our top three
00:52:33to try to convince others that they are just one person.
00:52:38Chris, do you think if we swapped jackets,
00:52:40we'd fool everyone?
00:52:41I don't know, Chris.
00:52:43I don't think he likes me.
00:52:45Before the break, Jason and Jaden
00:52:47successfully switched places twice.
00:52:50You're going to hate me, but I've got to use the bathroom.
00:52:53You've got to go again.
00:52:53I'm sorry.
00:52:55But is Natalia onto them?
00:52:58Am I getting set up?
00:53:02Did she catch on?
00:53:03No, I think maybe at the end, though,
00:53:04she was like, oh, you're going again.
00:53:06Natalia does not look impressed.
00:53:09Maybe it's time for Jason and Jaden
00:53:10to quit while they're ahead.
00:53:15I'm back for some chips.
00:53:18I'm sorry.
00:53:19No, welcome back.
00:53:20Yeah, so who's a better-looking twin?
00:53:22Oh, my God, you guys are literally identical.
00:53:25Could you tell that was sopping out or not?
00:53:27Wait, wait, wait.
00:53:32Who's Jaden?
00:53:33Me.
00:53:36No, I'm actually Jason.
00:53:37He's Jaden.
00:53:38Yeah.
00:53:39Right, OK.
00:53:40So you didn't pick up at all
00:53:41when he said Woolies and Coles, nothing at all?
00:53:43No, I did.
00:53:43I just thought you were so nervous
00:53:45that you just, like, confused Woolies and Coles.
00:53:47I totally thought that it was the same person the whole time,
00:53:51and then it was only until they both came together
00:53:53because I was like, I can't even, like, tell who's who.
00:53:57I feel embarrassed.
00:53:58I'm like, oh, my God,
00:54:00I got you guys wrong the whole time.
00:54:02Well done, Jason and Jaden.
00:54:04Two changes without being busted.
00:54:06That is mission accomplished.
00:54:09Now, Jason and Jaden,
00:54:10a first date is usually pretty awkward,
00:54:13but you took that to a whole other level.
00:54:15Did you get friend-zoned?
00:54:16Pretty much.
00:54:17I think from the moment he went in...
00:54:18LAUGHTER
00:54:19Now, Yvette and Linda.
00:54:22Let's see how good you went with your switcheroo.
00:54:28For this challenge,
00:54:29we asked Yvette and Linda to trade places
00:54:32and see if Linda's close friend, Simon,
00:54:35could tell them apart.
00:54:37Being someone they know,
00:54:38this could be even harder than it was for Jason and Jaden.
00:54:43This time, we went to Fremantle in WA.
00:54:47Now, the boys started with the real Jaden in place,
00:54:50but this challenge is starting off with Yvette, the imposter.
00:54:54It's a bold decision,
00:54:55because they could be caught straight away.
00:54:58It's a bit scary.
00:54:59Now my heart rate's going.
00:55:01Now I'm feeling nervous.
00:55:03The target in this switcheroo is Simon,
00:55:06a good friend of Linda's.
00:55:08Now, she's never met Yvette.
00:55:10She thinks they're there as extras in a news story
00:55:14on this bar where Linda's daughter, Steph, works.
00:55:17Oh, my God, she's here.
00:55:18Look out.
00:55:19Here it goes.
00:55:20Hello.
00:55:21Hey.
00:55:23How are you?
00:55:24Oh, it's so good.
00:55:25OK, that's a good start.
00:55:28Simon is actually hugging a complete stranger.
00:55:32I think it's working.
00:55:33I think it's working.
00:55:34Love the pants.
00:55:37You look as bright and gorgeous as ever.
00:55:39Oh, thank you.
00:55:40Good grief.
00:55:44So I want to know about that dreaded course that we...
00:55:48Oh, God.
00:55:50Yvette has been primed to talk to Simon
00:55:52about a teaching course that Simon and Linda
00:55:55were supposed to go on.
00:55:56I...
00:55:57I made poor Simon join a course,
00:55:59and then I pulled out and left her to it,
00:56:02and it's really, really hard.
00:56:04I'm a very naughty student.
00:56:06I haven't been doing my pre-reading.
00:56:09Oh, my God.
00:56:10I couldn't even understand half the words.
00:56:11No, it was very technical.
00:56:13Oh, yep.
00:56:14It's looking good.
00:56:15Anyway, because I was so mean,
00:56:17and I...
00:56:19You're not mean.
00:56:19...leved the course.
00:56:21No.
00:56:21I've got something for you.
00:56:22So just wait here.
00:56:23Right.
00:56:23Ship your drink, and I'll be back.
00:56:24OK.
00:56:24All right, don't move.
00:56:25Yes.
00:56:25OK.
00:56:26OK.
00:56:26I'll be back.
00:56:27Hang on.
00:56:28You're so funny.
00:56:29So I just talked about the course
00:56:36and how you really ditched her
00:56:37and you're feeling really bad.
00:56:38Yeah, yeah.
00:56:39OK.
00:56:39All right.
00:56:39All right.
00:56:40All right.
00:56:40All right.
00:56:40Go.
00:56:41See you.
00:56:41See you.
00:56:49Now it's the real Linda
00:56:50coming in to talk to her friend Simon,
00:56:53but will she notice a difference?
00:56:55Here's my special cute.
00:56:56And you know what?
00:57:00Why did you do that?
00:57:02Oh, because I ditched you.
00:57:04I didn't mean to.
00:57:05I felt dreadful.
00:57:06Don't feel dreadful.
00:57:07You know how special you are.
00:57:09Oh, thank you.
00:57:11I don't think she's noticed
00:57:13the twins have swapped,
00:57:15but Simon's probably bewildered
00:57:16by the gift of a cactus.
00:57:19But you look great.
00:57:21Do you mind if I take the phone?
00:57:23Oh, yeah.
00:57:23Go for it.
00:57:24Wee-ee!
00:57:28Now, this text message is fake.
00:57:31Oh, he's locked himself out of the house.
00:57:34The story of lost keys is an excuse
00:57:36so they can trade places.
00:57:38The next one, I think,
00:57:39will be the more difficult one.
00:57:42It's hilarious.
00:57:43Oh, I'm back.
00:57:45Now, this is the all-important second change.
00:57:48It's Yvette pretending to be Linda.
00:57:51She's been told to talk about surfing.
00:57:58So, how's surfing?
00:57:59Are you still going?
00:58:00Yeah.
00:58:01Well, did you see the notices coming through?
00:58:03Linda don't.
00:58:03Oh, we don't.
00:58:04Yeah.
00:58:05Hang on.
00:58:06Did Yvette just say Linda
00:58:07when she should have said,
00:58:08aye, we need to see a replay?
00:58:11Well, did you see the notices coming through?
00:58:13Linda don't.
00:58:14Oh, we don't.
00:58:15Yeah.
00:58:15Yes, she did.
00:58:18Oh, no!
00:58:20Maybe we're blowing it.
00:58:35Welcome back to Australia's Most Identical.
00:58:38We have asked our top three
00:58:39to try to convince others
00:58:41that they're the same person.
00:58:44Now, before the break,
00:58:45things had been going well
00:58:46for Yvette and Linda,
00:58:48but Yvette made a mistake.
00:58:50She said Linda
00:58:51when she should have said, aye.
00:58:54Did you see the notices coming through?
00:58:56Linda don't.
00:58:57Oh, we don't.
00:58:58Yeah.
00:58:58And the big question is...
00:59:00Oh, no!
00:59:02Maybe we're blowing it.
00:59:04Has Simone noticed?
00:59:05Anyway.
00:59:06Yeah.
00:59:06I don't know.
00:59:08And how's your sister?
00:59:08Yeah.
00:59:09Yep.
00:59:14So I see Yvette all the time.
00:59:15All the time.
00:59:16Is that part of being a twin, though?
00:59:18Oh, I think so.
00:59:19Whereas I've got cousins that are twins,
00:59:21he just wishes he had a not-so-bossy twin.
00:59:23Really?
00:59:24Mm.
00:59:24I think Yvette would say
00:59:26that I was bossy.
00:59:29Bossy.
00:59:29Bossy and loud, you know?
00:59:31I think she would say that, definitely.
00:59:33LAUGHTER
00:59:33I really...
00:59:35Well, I remember.
00:59:36Yes.
00:59:36I really want to get a photo of us.
00:59:38OK.
00:59:39All right.
00:59:39All right.
00:59:40You're going to do that?
00:59:40I will.
00:59:40OK.
00:59:41Yeah.
00:59:41Mm-hmm.
00:59:42Yvette handled that line of questioning very well.
00:59:46All right.
00:59:46We're going to do the photo.
00:59:47I've got Steffi.
00:59:48Yep.
00:59:49Steffi.
00:59:49Yeah.
00:59:50Come here.
00:59:52So I'm going to walk up with Steffi now.
00:59:54OK.
00:59:54And then I'm going to sneak in the background.
00:59:55The photograph idea has given Linda the chance
00:59:57to step back in for switch number three.
01:00:01Will Simone notice?
01:00:02I just about blew that.
01:00:04I just about said Linda this.
01:00:07All right.
01:00:07There's my phone.
01:00:10That's close, because we haven't got a photo of us,
01:00:13and we've been...
01:00:13Have we not?
01:00:14No, there's no photos of us.
01:00:16That looks like three successful switches,
01:00:19and it appears that Yvette and Linda
01:00:21are ready to reveal the truth to Simone.
01:00:23Whichever way makes us look great, yeah, from down there.
01:00:26Oh, look at the top.
01:00:27What's the chin?
01:00:28You watch the chin?
01:00:29Chin.
01:00:34Very cute.
01:00:35Is it a good one?
01:00:36Yeah.
01:00:37Woo-hoo!
01:00:38Woo-hoo!
01:00:38I was thinking.
01:00:47I was thinking.
01:00:50This is really bizarre.
01:00:56Are you two sneaky sneaks?
01:00:57Yeah.
01:00:58I didn't know whether you'd catch on.
01:01:01One point there, I was going, this is really odd.
01:01:04Well, why would it be odd?
01:01:06Yes.
01:01:06What could be going on?
01:01:09I got completely done.
01:01:11And I'm happy to admit that.
01:01:14Completely.
01:01:15Thank you so much.
01:01:17Well, that was a great effort by Yvette and Linda.
01:01:19They managed to switch three times without getting caught.
01:01:25Yvette, was it awkward when you had to talk about yourself to Linda's friend?
01:01:29Yeah, that was really odd.
01:01:30And she was so close.
01:01:33Like, I could see her freckles on her face.
01:01:36I was thinking, oh, this is scary.
01:01:39This is scary.
01:01:40But it was great.
01:01:41To try and be Vette is really quite hard for me because she's a bit more calmer.
01:01:49The two of us make one person, I feel.
01:01:51I think you'll find with all identical twins, that's how they feel.
01:01:54They just make one full glass.
01:01:56Because you can't have two people that are like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah all the time.
01:02:01Because nobody would talk to you.
01:02:05Okay, Bridget and Sophie, let's see how good you went with your switcheroo.
01:02:10Bridget has been with her partner Dave for more than five years,
01:02:14so this one is extra challenging.
01:02:16Now, Dave thinks he's coming over to help Bridget build a reptile cage.
01:02:21What a romantic.
01:02:22Can Sophie convince Dave that she is the love of his life instead?
01:02:27So this could go horribly wrong.
01:02:30Alrighty.
01:02:31Cool.
01:02:31Good to go?
01:02:32Yeah.
01:02:33There was a time when I first started dating my current partner
01:02:36and he was on the cusp of giving Sophie a nice little love tap on the buttocks
01:02:43and he, for some reason, held back that action
01:02:48and lucky for him, because it was not me.
01:02:52Lucky.
01:02:52It was not my buttocks.
01:02:54Would not have appreciated it.
01:02:55Yeah.
01:02:57Now, Dave has been told the cameras are here filming Bridget
01:03:01taking care of their Australian wildlife animals and reptiles,
01:03:04waiting out of sight inside is a nervous Sophie.
01:03:09I'm confident that he's going to be focused on the building,
01:03:13but, I mean, if I can keep it together, this is going to be a hard one.
01:03:17What do I need to make to put in the enclosure with it?
01:03:19Oh, I just would like some sticks.
01:03:21You put a stick in there?
01:03:22Yeah, screwed into it, because she is a climber.
01:03:24Alright.
01:03:25Yeah.
01:03:25Do you want to cut that one?
01:03:26Bridget's been helping out her partner for a few minutes.
01:03:29She needs an excuse to go indoors to trade places with Sophie.
01:03:34I might go to the loo.
01:03:36Okay.
01:03:37I'm timing your bathroom break.
01:03:38Oh.
01:03:39Here you go.
01:03:40I was going to go to the toilet.
01:03:42Oh.
01:03:42Yeah.
01:03:46With me.
01:03:46Off we go.
01:03:47Good luck.
01:03:48Alright.
01:03:49Oh, he's doing it without you.
01:03:51If Sophie can pull this off,
01:03:53it could be the ultimate vote-winning gamble.
01:03:56This is so good.
01:03:58I'm thoroughly enjoying this.
01:04:01Bridget.
01:04:02Thoroughly.
01:04:03Yeah.
01:04:03Remember, Dave and Bridget have been together
01:04:06for more than five years.
01:04:11Can Sophie take Bridget's place without Dave noticing?
01:04:21Ha-ha-ha.
01:04:23Ha-ha-ha.
01:04:24Go home, Sophie.
01:04:25Uh-oh.
01:04:26Game over.
01:04:27Did he even last two seconds, ma'am?
01:04:34I mean...
01:04:35What happened?
01:04:37I didn't do anything.
01:04:39It's not my fault.
01:04:40I just got in.
01:04:42I just came out.
01:04:42So, did you tell straight away?
01:04:44She literally walked like that,
01:04:45and you walk with square shoulders.
01:04:46Well, that was an impressive effort by Dave,
01:04:51caught in just a few steps.
01:04:53He clearly knows Bridget too well.
01:04:56I, I, yeah, I really couldn't believe Bridget
01:04:58thought she could pull it off,
01:04:59because I, I sort of spend a lot of time with her,
01:05:01and she walks completely differently.
01:05:02Are you all right?
01:05:04I'm disappointed.
01:05:05You look disappointed.
01:05:05Yeah, I am disappointed.
01:05:07Oh, my God, stop.
01:05:08Be proud of you.
01:05:09No, I wanted to fool him more.
01:05:15Now, Bridget and Sophie,
01:05:17you definitely gave it a go.
01:05:20No joy there.
01:05:21It was interesting, though.
01:05:22It was a lot of fun,
01:05:23and it was, uh, eye-opening.
01:05:28Now it's the moment we've all been waiting for.
01:05:30Twins in the audience now,
01:05:32it's time to cast your votes.
01:05:35Use your phone and the QR code
01:05:37to select which set of twins you believe
01:05:40are Australia's most identical.
01:05:43Is it Bridget and Sophie,
01:05:44Yvette and Linda,
01:05:46or Jason and Jayden?
01:05:47We'll find out right after the break.
01:06:00Well, it is business time
01:06:08on Australia's most identical.
01:06:11Over the last couple of nights,
01:06:12our twins have really been put to the test
01:06:15physically and mentally.
01:06:18It's been a whirlwind ride
01:06:20for all of the twins that have taken part.
01:06:23We've discovered that science can only tell us
01:06:25some things about identical twins...
01:06:27That's amazing.
01:06:29A 99.98 dude!
01:06:30..and their special relationships.
01:06:32It's a horrible thing to think about it.
01:06:34I don't like to think about my life without it.
01:06:36..and that there are influences
01:06:38that make anybody,
01:06:39whether they are an identical twin or not,
01:06:42a unique individual.
01:06:43Still have my heart.
01:06:44Yes!
01:06:45We've also discovered
01:06:46that some similarities
01:06:47provide moments that are truly magical.
01:06:50A big thanks to all of the twins
01:07:02who have taken part
01:07:03and during the break
01:07:04voted for who they thought
01:07:06pulled off the best switcheroo
01:07:08and is overall Australia's most identical.
01:07:12Well, the votes from our audience
01:07:14have been counted.
01:07:16And based on those votes,
01:07:17the winners of Australia's most identical are...
01:07:23..our WA teachers,
01:07:29Yvette Linda!
01:07:30APPLAUSE
01:07:31Congratulations, Yvette and Linda!
01:07:44They still have no idea which one's winning.
01:07:46APPLAUSE
01:07:46Come on over, girls.
01:07:49Grab your trophy.

01:08:04LAUGHTER
01:08:05You talk.
01:08:08Oh, yeah, I'm a little bit speechless, really.
01:08:11I think all of us are very, very identical.
01:08:14Yeah.
01:08:14We are all very special
01:08:15and we're all amazing for research, you know.
01:08:18It's great.
01:08:19I think, yeah, all the eight finalists were amazing.
01:08:21We all need to cut this into eight pieces
01:08:23and give everybody a piece.
01:08:25Friendships who have formed have been amazing
01:08:27and it's so nice to be around people that are twins!
01:08:29APPLAUSE
01:08:30We're really lucky to be twins.
01:08:33We're really lucky.
01:08:34And thank you to all our twins
01:08:38who've made this such a fun and fascinating experience.
01:08:41Good night!
01:08:43CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:08:45We're so stoked to see the Perth girls win...
01:08:51Well-deserving.
01:08:52Well-deserving.
01:08:53They're lovely people.
01:08:54And meeting the top eight,
01:08:55they're such beautiful people
01:08:56and it's so nice to now have those twin friends
01:08:59that share our weirdness together.
01:09:01Come on, come on, come on, come on!
01:09:03Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on!
01:09:05Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on!
01:09:06Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on!
01:09:07The experience on Australia's Most Identical was really amazing.
01:09:10I learnt so much about my twin brother that I never thought.
01:09:13It was definitely rewarding.
01:09:14Well done for that.
01:09:15Yes!
01:09:15Oh, well done and congratulations.
01:09:17Well done.
01:09:18The best part about being in Australia's Most Identical
01:09:22was that it was like being normal.
01:09:24Yes.
01:09:25For once, we were with a group of people
01:09:27that felt exactly like we have felt in the past
01:09:31and have all the things that happened to them.
01:09:33Similar experiences.
01:09:34That was priceless.
