A Dream within a Dream tells the story of Song Xiao Yu, a woman who accidentally enters the world of a script and becomes the main character who is destined to be abandoned and tortured to death by the antagonist, Nan Heng.
Although Song Xiao Yu tries hard to escape his fate, the storyline continues to bring him back to Nan Heng, forcing him to go through various scenes that have been specified in the script.
