00:00Playing captain, we've talked about it a lot.

00:03He said he'd only do it on points.

00:05You can't tell me he's not one of the 12 best American golfers right now

00:08and should be playing in the event.

00:11Mike, I would say without a doubt, being out on tour,

00:13that the point quote, like, I'm not picking myself if I'm not there on points,

00:18has been thrown out the window.

00:19I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the fact

00:21that that's why he's playing again this week

00:23in order to try to get in that top six while he knows he's playing well.

00:27But Keegan Bradley's playing on this Ryder Cup team.

00:30I mean, the players are going to be at a point right now

00:31where they want him to play.

00:33The PGA of America is going to want him to play.

00:35The question really becomes, does he or does he not want to be a playing captain?

00:40And I'll go right on the record to say right now, I think it's a bad idea.

00:43You know, people are going to say, oh, it'll be like Arnold Palmer in 1963.

00:47Hey, it's not 1963, right?

00:50Like, I mean, this is not what we're going to do.

00:52The captain's role, and Luke Donald has proved this,

00:55attention to detail extremely matters in this thing.

00:59And you only get a home course advantage once every four years.

01:03If we don't take full advantage of this thing and the crowd in New York City

01:06by having a full-time captain, that is a major miss on my mind.

01:10And I tell you what, forget the top 12.

01:12I mean, Keegan's, he's well inside the top six or eight guys

01:15that should be on this team.

01:17I agree with you.

01:18It would be very hard for me, and nothing against some of these other guys,

01:21but it would be hard for me to say that any of the Andrew Novak's

01:25and even the Ben Griffiths and all that,

01:27it's hard for me to say that those guys should be there before Keegan

01:30and playing in the Ryder Cup.

01:32So I think the players do want him.

01:34And you're right, though.

01:35They would have a decision to make and maybe take some of those reins away

01:39from him as we get closer if he does going to end up playing in it.
