00:00well yeah and I was looking at you know the last few days I've been peeking at the board seeing how

00:05it's moving a little bit I mean Xander's now fallen to 22 to 1 down the list uh Pat you know

00:13below Jon Rahm he's got 20 there at this very second he's even down to 22 and I've got JT

00:18ahead of him at 20 he's the defending champ of the PGA I know it this year hasn't been the best he

00:23started the year early with an injury has kind of gotten himself back going a little bit that's a

00:28little honestly a little disrespectful for me that he's down to 22 to 1. I mean definitely could see

00:34why people would want to get involved at that price was Xander Shoffley uh what I like from what I saw

00:39from him this past week is that the putter was finally kind of back to where he typically is

00:45which is in the top end uh of the statistics at the end of the week putted really well really

00:50struggled at the beginning of the year with the flat stick uh the speed is way up like Philly uh for

00:55example uh on the week he was gaining 20 yards to the field average when you talk about the

01:01advantages that you can have at Quail Hollow length is so important so Xander Shoffley in that same

01:06category as Rory with uh distance off the tee and his iron game has been really really good this year

01:12so Xander there's a lot to like about him this week for sure there absolutely is Smiley uh let's go

01:19I'm kind of with you these top six guys it feels like those are the guys that one of them are going

01:26to be there but we're getting some value on some guys too this week you're seeing Ludwig Ludwig fall

01:31down to 25 to 1 can't lay down to 40 to 1 you know Fleetwood down to 40 Fleetwood that doesn't win

01:37so we're not we're just going to leave uh Tommy out of the picks right now but even Hideki down to 45

01:41who's the one guy I saw out that clip I'm sure you've seen it uh it's pouring at Quail Hollow today

01:47but Hideki is still out there grinding and trying to get ready for this week who do you kind of like

01:53in that maybe second and third tier aside from the big favorites you know what it's I kind of start

01:59with the off the tee statistic and then work your way back uh any player that has length I'm looking

02:06at them as a possibility because if they have a good decent iron week and a hot putter then then uh

02:12they could definitely contend it just is hard for me to see you know that the shorter hitters like

02:17for instance like a Russell Henley a Brian Harmon uh players that are kind of in that category of

02:22some GM that don't necessarily hit it very far uh very very good iron players but they're going to be

02:28having many mid to long irons all week and it's just the statistics show uh players that are closer

02:35to the green have more of an advantage and especially with maybe not the most penal uh golf course off of

02:42the tee as far as just trouble all right smiley it's time uh you've got to give me the one and

02:47done pick uh for this week you got it who are you going with here at Quail well I don't have the first

02:53pick this week so Charlie might have a a bit of a uh a say in who I get to get to pick as he's got

02:59most of his options available I've already used Justin Thomas this year at the players and I've used

03:04Bryson DeChambeau at the Masters so it'll be some form of Rory McIlroy uh either a John Rahm I've

03:11heard he's Ludvigo Perg so uh most likely going to probably stick with a live player so John Rahm

03:18is probably going to be my pick as I just want to save the PGA guys uh for the signature events
