00:00The big talk so far has been about this Ace Bailey not going to the Sixers

00:06and ending up as low as six, right, to the Wizards.

00:11What do you think is going to happen?

00:12I was talking to Mike DeCorsi about it, and Paykel said he was like

00:17literally the best player he's ever coached in terms of, you know,

00:21being a guy that did whatever they wanted, whatever they asked.

00:25He loved everybody, got along with his teammates, knew the entire staff, everyone.

00:31He was close with everyone, never had a single problem with the guy.

00:35Why is he getting such a bad rap now because he didn't go to some meeting

00:41with the Sixers?

00:42It can't be just that, can it?

00:44Well, he ducked out on a lot of meetings.

00:47And listen, I love Steve Paykel.

00:49I'm a Jersey guy, but he had two of the top three players in the NBA draft,

00:52and he couldn't even make the NCAA tournament.

00:54I don't know what he's talking about in regards to what he did.

00:59Mike said that they had nothing else.

01:01They had those two and nothing else.

01:03No, nothing else.

01:04And I think Steve learned his lesson that he's going to have to balance his

01:07roster a little bit in the future.

01:09Actually, Rutgers, I do believe, has a good recruiting class this upcoming year.

01:13But to me, Farrell, I'm not buying it.

01:16I think Ace Bailey is, in my opinion, the second most talented player in the draft.

01:21I don't see how he goes past three.

01:24Either Philadelphia takes him, or Philadelphia moves the pick.

01:29I know there's a team in eight in Brooklyn that would absolutely do everything

01:33and move the mountains to go get Ace Bailey.

01:36Ace Bailey threw the first pitch out of the Mets game, I think, over the weekend.

01:40I think he wants Brooklyn.

01:41I think he wants the slide.

01:43And think about it.

01:44He wants to be a star, Farrell.

01:45Hear me out.

01:47Dallas, no.

01:49San Antonio, no.

01:51Philadelphia, if they keep the pick, they have Embiid, they have Maxie, they have McCain,

01:55not a star.

01:56Charlotte, you could argue that it's LaMelo's team, right?

02:02Washington, interesting, because I think they have an interesting dilemma we'll get to in a second.

02:07New Orleans seven, and then there's Brooklyn at eight.

02:10I know that Brooklyn could do something wild if they want him so bad, right?

02:16Trade up the three, absorb PG's contract, and you can find a way, because I'm sure Philadelphia

02:22can do anything to get out of PG's contract, including moving the number three pick.

02:28And for me, for people taking, say, take Edgeco, take Trey Johnson, take Knipple, where does

02:36that fit Philadelphia?

02:38McCain, Maxie, you were talking a little bit about Oubre.

02:42I don't think that makes sense for Philadelphia.

02:46I think they either take Ace Bailey, or they move him into trade.

02:50So, it sounded to me like, at some level, you think that Brooklyn would make a deal to

02:58get Bailey and Paul George?

03:01To move up.

03:03I think they want Ace Bailey.

03:04Listen, Brooklyn has called three.

03:06Brooklyn called San Antonio.

03:08They have to be willing to take something on.

03:11And you notice in Philadelphia, Paul George was so bad.

03:15And that could be, besides Bradley Beal for all, I don't think there's a worse contract in

03:19the NBA right now than Paul George, right?

03:22In regards to reliability and productivity and the amount of money he's paid.

03:26So, Brooklyn can absorb that money and go ahead and get that pick.

03:31So, to me, I wouldn't be surprised if Brooklyn tries again, because I think Brooklyn wants

03:36to rebuild, start over.

03:38I think Ace Bailey wants to be a star, and he wants to be a star in the media market.

03:43Brooklyn and Ace Bailey just seems to line up.

03:45That's why I think Ace Bailey ducked all those workouts.

03:48Because I think he wants to slide to eight.

03:50I just don't think he gets there.

03:51That's why I think Brooklyn's got to go get him.
