Baltic Fleet employs Kalibr cruise missiles and coastal defense systems in operation near Kaliningrad

The Russian Navy conducted a large-scale military exercise this week in the Baltic Sea, simulating the destruction of an enemy naval force with support from Aerospace Forces aircraft. The drill, part of the Baltic Fleet’s training operations, aimed to test the readiness of Russian forces to defend critical infrastructure in the Kaliningrad region.

The Russian strike group included naval attack units, maritime search groups, missile boats, as well as divisions operating the Bal and Bastion coastal missile systems. During the operation, troops carried out electronic missile launches against both naval and land targets representing a simulated hostile force.
