00:00Should we start looking at Theo?
00:01I was very excited when Theo came in, Keith.
00:03I got an email about this over the weekend that I thought was interesting.
00:06And it's like, Theo, Breslau is a Theo guy.
00:11Theo was brought in.
00:12I thought it was my favorite thing the organization had done in like a decade
00:15was bringing Theo back.
00:16It was like one of my favorite things they've done where I was like, huh,
00:19bringing back a guy who's had success with Major League Baseball
00:22and with the Cubs and obviously with the Red Sox,
00:24getting him back involved in any way, shape, or form,
00:27even if it's more with Fenway Sports Group and more with the rest of the
00:30portfolio, but just to be an ear in the organization for the baseball team,
00:34like at what point do we look at it and say some of this is on Theo too?
00:37Is that fair to start looking at?
00:39Because I imagine Breslau's here in big part because of him.
00:43Yeah, but also he was not the first choice, second choice, third choice,
00:4712th choice.
00:48Like he eventually came in and maybe Theo had a little bit of hand in that.
00:51I was hopeful for a moment when they brought him in.
00:54And then was it early on when somebody was asked about it?
00:58And they're like, well, he's going to kind of overlook everything.
01:00And like, he's like just as much involved in soccer.
01:02I was like, yeah, which, well, I was like, I'm out.
01:04I got it.
01:04They said, I don't buy that though.
01:06Yeah.
01:06I buy that.
01:07Uh, kind of.
01:08He's as, he's as involved with soccer as he is.
01:10He shouldn't be, but I'm also like,
01:12I don't really understand the point of this.
01:13Cause then there's like, Oh,
01:14there's always those whispers about like,
01:17is this just added to the resume so he can eventually become commissioner of
01:20baseball and just sort of like putting this on the list or own his own
01:24club.
01:24Yeah.
01:24Something, I mean, something to that effect.
01:26Like it feels like they wanted him back,
01:28but obviously she's chief baseball officers beneath him.
01:31So it's like, all right,
01:31what role do you have and how much say do you have?
01:35You know, if they signed Juan Soto,
01:37maybe I would have been like, yeah,
01:38he's a little bit more involved.
01:39I guess this off season was a better off season than the previous ones,
01:42but I'm still not convinced that he has like a huge say.
01:45Yeah.
01:46I, uh,
01:47I was very hopeful when he came in and I guess I'm going to be consistent.
01:50I got to look at it and go, all right,
01:52well, where are things heading and how much blame is on him?
01:54Now I believe more in Breslau than I think a lot of people do,
01:57but if you're out on Breslau and you hate the job he's doing and you want
02:00him fired,
02:01and I know a lot of people do well,
02:02then you got to look at Theo as well.
