00:00Again, then, in the last hour, loud bangs and explosions heard over the skies of Jerusalem and also in Tel Aviv as well.
00:07We've been hearing of a new missile attack by Iran on Israel.
00:11Israeli media also reporting a possible Iranian missile impact in the Ashdod area of southern Israel.
00:19That after Israel as well fired a volley of earlier missiles at Iran once again at military sites, it said, inside Iran.
00:28The two sides trading strikes as the world braces for a possible stronger response from Iran to this weekend's U.S. attack on its nuclear sites.
00:37The U.S. President, Donald Trump, even raised the idea of regime change in the Islamic Republic, as he said,
00:42if the current Iranian regime is unable to make Iran great again, why wouldn't there be regime change?
00:48Well, we're going to talk now to our senior reporter, Catherine Norris-Trent, who joins us now from Tel Aviv, where she's sheltering at the moment.
00:54Catherine, just bring us up to date, first of all, and let us know what the situation is there, can you?
01:01Good morning to you, Stuart.
01:02I am, as you can see, inside, hunkering down in a secure location because there is yet another air raid alert.
01:12We had one overnight when it was reported one ballistic missile was fired from Iran, and now the air raid sirens have gone off.
01:19So, in the place where I'm staying, this has become a regular routine for more than a week now.
01:24People come here and wait for the need of safety as soon as those alarms come.
01:30You can see that I have some fellow people sheltering with me.
01:34Let me just bring you to them.
01:38This is Rose and Scott.
01:41Faith and Scott.
01:42I'm so sorry, I'm a little sleep deprived, as you can imagine.
01:45We get it.
01:46They are American citizens, Stuart.
01:49They have been here.
01:52Can you tell us how you're feeling at the moment?
01:55I think we're feeling a little rattled from the lack of sleep.
01:57You know, that's the biggest issue we're facing when we do feel really safe here.
02:01And for me, I actually feel kind of invigorated being here at this really important time.
02:09But a little sleep and some coffee would really be nice.
02:12And what do you think about the fact that Iran has said American citizens in this region are a target?
02:19That includes you.
02:20Yes, that's a little frightening right now.
02:22You know, the anti's been upped a little bit.
02:24And it sounds like it's not just here in Israel, that it's all across, you know, Europe and the states that they've kind of put this bulletin out that American citizens are trying to get.
02:35And Scott, you guys are stuck here, right?
02:37Are you planning to leave?
02:39Are you able to leave?
02:40We're looking possibly at going from Jordan tomorrow.
02:45We're just waiting to see if it's all clear or not.
02:48And, you know, it's all waiting to see right now.
02:51But we're pretty, you know, confident and sure we can get to find a way out or, you know, soon.
02:59And how are you feeling with these continuing missile barrages, day and night?
03:03It gets to your nerves a little bit.
03:06I'm really worried if I get home before July 4th, what July 4th is going to do to me.
03:12It is tough.
03:14And I'm just so impressed by the strength of the Israeli people, even the kids, how they have this stress.
03:23It's a really sign of strength that I see within this nation.
03:27OK, thank you guys so much.
03:29That is Faith and Scott there from California.
03:32And Stuart, I just want to bring you up to date on the latest that we're hearing about these strikes.
03:36So the sirens went off.
03:39We came down to shelter.
03:41We've heard that medics are responding to reports of a possible missile impact that got through Israel's air defences in Ashdod.
03:50That's a city to the south of Tel Aviv.
03:53Also, there are alerts in the Gaza area and in northern Israel, too.
03:58So we've been down here for a little while.
04:01We're waiting for the all clear.
04:03And we'll wait and see when we can go.
04:07But this is a scene that is so regular.
04:10Basically, everyone has alerts on their phones here.
04:13And then they come down to the bunkers.
04:16The Israeli military has been calling for people to keep disciplined and to keep sheltering to try and avoid casualties.
04:22And I have to say there's been a lot of discipline in that case ever since Israel launched those attacks on Iran back on June 13th.
