00:00We got big units today, honey. We're close to home. I'm excited, but I'm not happy about the
00:12weather. We're going to have some really cold, windy weather. Look, it's already raining. Let's
00:16just keep them moving, and they won't even realize they're cold. Well, I got the hot cocoa. I have
00:21enough for everyone. Thank you. I need to keep the virus as warm as possible. That way, they can bid
00:26and pay this lady. A cold bidder won't lift his hands out of his pockets. A cold bidder
00:32is not a bold bidder. Gosh, I love it, Dan. I just come up with them like that. You're ready
00:36for this cold weather. When storage units are abandoned, the treasures within are put up
00:51for auction. I got scored on this. I'm in the green. Look at this. Money, baby.
01:09I'm headed out to Banning. It is not close to my house. It is raining, and it is cold, and it is a
01:15long drive. I'm starting to question why I woke up at 4.30 a.m. to drive over four hours into the
01:20freezing cold and rain. I really need Banning to make this trek worth it. But it is close
01:25to Palm Springs, and they have a lot of beautiful, beautiful things in Palm Springs. A lot of rich,
01:32old people, a lot of gays, and they always have good decorating sense, and that is what I'm
01:38looking for. I've got a lot of business right now. I'm running low. I need to find something
01:43good. I'm wishing myself luck. Crossing my fingers. Make it a good day, Banning.
01:52I'm here at last. Banning, California. This weather looks like it's saying go home. No. I can't
02:01hear you, weather. I can't hear you. Shoot. Weather don't scare me none. Matter of fact,
02:06it should be scared of me. That's right. I own you, weather. I went through snow. I went
02:13through hail. I went through wind. I went through rain. I went through flooding waters. I went
02:18on freeways where I never saw the white line for 50 miles. If I'm going to get cold and
02:22wet, I might as well get rich at the same time. Bad weather, good units, equal cha-ching.
02:28Let's go. Buckle up, buttercup. I can't believe how freaking cold it got. It looks like it's
02:38a thunderstorm, a monsoon. A monsoon? What kind of word is that? Monsoon? It's a French
02:45word for nobody else is going to be at the auction. You hope so. With weather like this
02:50keeping the riffraff away, I can grab two or three lockers for cheap. I think you're going
02:54the wrong way. The auction's the other way, mister. Well, look, there's a couch stand right
02:58there. How much did you bid for that couch? Five bucks, five bucks.
03:06You look happy to be here. It's raining. It's cold. It's okay. And you're here. You're happy
03:12I'm here. Great. Now I have this clown to deal with, really regretting my decision to come
03:18here. Buck, you've got to be my chauffeur. What is happening? I've got umbrellas. I've
03:23got hot cocoa. Hot chocolate. You're looking for chocolate? I've been known to eat a chocolate
03:28or two. I've got umbrellas for you guys. Would you like one? Thank you, actually. I would
03:33like to let you have an umbrella also. Thank you. And Miss Casey. I'll give her one. Thank
03:38you. Thank you. You see, my plan for Happy Buyers is already working. Hot cocoa for them and
03:42money for me. We've got cocoa. Oh. Have some. It'll warm your soul. Thanks. It's good
03:48for the auction's soul. That is great. Oh, yum. Hot cocoa. But the umbrella is really appreciated.
03:58Hey, Ivy. Best day ever. Happy to have you here. Oh, thank you. A little hot cocoa. I've got
04:04some marshmallows. I've got some marshmallows. Cocoa for the men and whiskey for the horses.
04:07Hey there, America. I got lucky today. I had to fail all the way to Palm Springs. Then
04:15I got an alert on my phone that Dan and Lori was doing an auction over here in Bend. I'm
04:21going to stop by because it's raining. And you know, the rain's put everybody in a certain
04:26mood. So that means a lot of people might not show up. I like to rain when I'm home watching
04:32my story, but not when I'm going auction hunting. You know, I can't swim. It's hailing out here
04:38too. Should've wore a helmet. But I'm going to take my chances. I'm going to go get me a
04:44nice unit and try to find some things that can fit in the trunk.
04:47What's up with your boy? Ah, there's somebody I'd rather talk to. Welcome to the auction, baby. Oh, you're
04:57perfect. You did a long drive. I don't hug the competition. I don't want to hug you either, Ivy.
05:04Well, Brandy looks like she need a hug. Mother's nature is working her magic.
05:09Yeah. Knowing I can't swim. What? I told you I'd teach you. Are you not going to mess up your weave?
05:18We're going to start in a kiddie pool. All right. All right. All right. I'll blow it up. I'll blow it up.
05:26I'll give you some of those floaties. It's going to be great. It's going to be great.
05:29Are you really going to let Brandy teach you how to swim? Hell no, man. Last time I tried this,
05:35you almost drowned me in ocean.
05:40That's a whole new America. Kenny don't do what.
05:44Welcome to the auction. Before you go through these gates, you need to know the rules. You're
05:48going to go to the unit, remove the lock, open the door. Give you five minutes to take a look
05:51around. You can't go inside. You can't open any boxes. And who's ever got the most money in
05:56their pocket can own it today. Are you ready?
06:00All right. Let's go, folks.
06:03Hey, here we go. Little corner. Hey, Dad. Get a look. Bye-bye, Ted, folks.
06:17Well, I could fit a lot of this stuff in the trunk right now, but not the trash.
06:22What's these boxes? Well, a screw cap, arms. It might be some garden tools. You know what
06:29they say? Sometimes another man's treasure is another man's treasure. I'm going to be the only
06:34ride here, boy. All right. Now, this is a small unit. It's an easy, clean unit.
06:39Is that what you tell all the girls? That's true. I do say that. Yeah. Yeah. But I'm talking
06:45about this. It's going to give them a warning ahead of time. Right. A warning. Yeah. Yeah. I mean,
06:50I always thought it was the opposite of that. Like, oh, this is going to be really disappointing.
06:54Easy to bait this up. But, you know. No. All right. I'm going to go take a look. Oh,
07:01sake. There's a big-ass shovel in here so you can shovel the out of it. I love a stolen street sign.
07:08That's always a good sign that there's good stuff in here. There's a lot more units,
07:13so I'm going to let somebody else have this one. Ah. The only places that you can decorate
07:18with that locker are frat houses and man caves. All right. What do we got here? Well,
07:26they loaded their trash, but only one bag of trash. Hand tools down there. Shovel rakes.
07:31Snow shovel. Cooler. Well, depending on what's in those boxes, could be a good buy there.
07:38Ooh. Love the little yard art. I might be in a little bit. It's dry in here. It's warm in here.
07:45And those boxes just might make my day. Oh, yeah. No, it looks like to clean up the backyard,
07:53to be honest. Yeah. This is a no-no. All right. And if you're ready to go, I'm ready to go. And here
07:59we go. Number 20. What's your place? What are you going to pay? And how about so much money? There's nobody
08:02dumb enough to buy this unit. I got 25 there. It would have been 50 and 50 there. It would
08:06have been 75 back there. It would have been 150. 150. 150. might tell you. Oneल
08:13a half. I got two and a half. I got two and a half. One
08:16three. Three and a half.
08:17I got three. Three and a half. Three and
08:20three, and a half.
08:21Two and a half.
08:23Four and a half.
08:25Four and a half.
08:25$4.50, Kenny, you're out.
08:26$4.50, going one.
08:27I've got four there.
08:28$4.50, going twice.
08:30Last thing, final call.
08:30$4.50, going twice.
08:32So that's your way.
08:33Ivy got it for $400.
08:35Come on, man.
08:36You got it, Ivy.
08:37All right, next case.
08:38Let's go this way.
08:39Oh.
08:42I'm going to take some time to dry off and check out those boxes.
08:45Let's see how far my $400 gets me.
08:50Definitely not going to get me far with that first bag.
08:52Let's get that trash out of the way.
08:55I'd be lying to everybody in the world if I said I like books.
09:02How's that poem go?
09:03Books, books, not for me.
09:05Books, books, I actually can't read.
09:07All these books, $20.
09:09Long ways from my $400, but I'm going to get there.
09:12I can feel it.
09:14Nice little flathead shovel with a fiberglass handle.
09:18$10.
09:20Here we go.
09:20Now we're talking.
09:22Money, money, money.
09:24Ooh, everything in here works.
09:26For this whole entire chest of tools, it's $50.
09:31Ooh, nice big fat snow shovel.
09:33$10.
09:34Wow, feels like paperwork.
09:36Okay.
09:38Ooh, looking better already.
09:41Jewelry!
09:43Ha, ha, ha.
09:45Jewelry's worth a little.
09:47Jewelry's worth a lot.
09:48Ooh, now we're cooking with grease.
09:53Big foreign money.
09:55A little bit of silver there.
09:56Does not, oh, it does say, it says silver.
09:58Sweet.
09:59Ooh, more jewelry.
10:01Jewelry everywhere down in here.
10:02Look at this.
10:03This whole entire box, once I get the jewelry and everything out, $200.
10:08Ooh, now that's heavy.
10:09I thought it was going to be trash, but hey, sometimes you buy a locker gambling and you win.
10:14Only one box in and I'm halfway to payday.
10:17It says photo albums, but I hope that's not true.
10:21Pictures, photo albums, photo albums.
10:24$10 on this box.
10:25Oh, come on boxes.
10:27Got to be better.
10:28Now this is cool.
10:30It's like butterflies.
10:31It's big, it's iron, and it's worth at least $40.
10:37Frame, this is a nice one.
10:38$20.
10:39Frame, $10.
10:40Ooh, I love the tea.
10:43Pour it in a glass.
10:44Ah, it soothes you.
10:46The rest of this, woo, $30.
10:50Maybe a little, no, that's not sold.
10:53Uh-oh.
10:55Nice bat.
10:58Score!
11:01You're a little dizzy when you do that.
11:07Definitely working.
11:07$10.
11:08All this stuff in here.
11:11Pidger frames, pictures, and the wagon, $60.
11:15Beautiful mirror.
11:17Mirror, mirror on the wall.
11:18Who's going to make the most money of all?
11:20King of Palmdale always does.
11:23You're smart.
11:25$25 on that mirror, it's in excellent condition.
11:30Rah!
11:31All right, it looks like knives or silverware.
11:35Open's open.
11:37Open, open.
11:38Oh, here we go.
11:40Ooh!
11:43All right, it looks like knives or silverware.
11:46Ooh, pretty silver.
11:49Let's see, what does that say?
11:51You get blind, you can't see no more, but...
11:53Oh, it might be silver.
11:54It's soft.
11:55Just because I can't read with my eyes don't mean I can't read with my hands.
11:58And that reads silver.
12:00Now, that is a dandy-looking spoon.
12:02Now, the cool thing about sterling, I know, is if you have a whole set, you make more for the set than you do for the weight.
12:09But either way, money in the bank.
12:12There we go.
12:13Ooh, kung fu knife.
12:17No cavities.
12:18We got to find somebody who knows more about silver than I do.
12:23You stay close.
12:26Ooh!
12:26Definitely not as good as the first two boxes.
12:29Whole lot of pots and pan and kitchen stuff.
12:32Still 25 bucks.
12:34Ooh, here we go.
12:35Little bit of silver.
12:36Right on, and a stick.
12:38As you know, silver is soft and it's bendable, and it says that right there.
12:41I found a big pile of silver, but only a small pile of profit.
12:44So I've got to get back to the auction and find more.
12:49Okay.
12:50This should be a 5x10.
12:52Yes, it just kind of turns a little bit.
12:56Ain't no light.
13:00Can't see too much, but if there's a bike, I'm going to ride.
13:04And they got a flying carpet in here.
13:06I'm going to take a chance on this one.
13:10There's a wardrobe box back there.
13:13Oh, I just see a wall.
13:16Okay, two bikes, set 40.
13:19Did you not miss that there's a mattress and a huge, heavy file cabinet?
13:25Like, uh...
13:26No, that's garbage, baby.
13:28Ready?
13:28I do have to get one.
13:29Yeah!
13:30Good-looking 6-foot-5-inch rug over there.
13:34King-size box spring with no mattress.
13:37Mountain bike.
13:38A suitcase in the middle and a jacket.
13:41Eh, came too far and too bad a weather to buy this room.
13:43I'm looking for more better, more bigger, more awesomer.
13:49I don't need a mattress.
13:51I don't need a bicycle.
13:53I don't know, man.
13:54There's not anything really I could use in here.
13:56Okay.
13:57But...
13:57You notice the file cabinet's locked, which means...
14:00Ooh!
14:00...you know, it's probably full of comic books, or...
14:02Is that what it is?
14:04Probably not.
14:05No?
14:05Man, you are reaching.
14:07Yes.
14:08You are reaching.
14:09Yeah.
14:11All right!
14:12Here we go, number 20.
14:13Let's see it, play it.
14:13Come on, come on, come on, come on.
14:14Come on, come on.
14:14Come on, come on.
14:14Where?
14:15What do you get there?
14:15I got 25 there.
14:16I got 25 there.
14:16I got 15, 50.
14:17Where?
14:1715, another 10.
14:18We're gonna be 75 now.
14:19100 there.
14:20One in a corner.
14:2025.
14:20One there.
14:21One in a corner.
14:21One in a corner.
14:22One in a corner.
14:22One in a corner.
14:22One in a corner.
14:22One in a corner.
14:23Two in a corner.
14:24Twenty-five.
14:24I got to get up in a corner.
14:25Two in a corner.
14:26Two in a corner.
14:27Two in a corner.
14:27Two and a half.
14:28Pretty fast.
14:28You're 75.
14:29You're 75.
14:30Three there.
14:31Three in a corner.
14:3225.
14:32I got three in a corner.
14:33I just don't want it,
14:34don't mean kinnen get it for cheap.
14:36Mm-mm, mm-mm.
14:40I got...
14:43$5 there.
14:46Five in a corner.
14:4725.
14:47I got five in a corner.
14:48Five in a corner.
14:49Five in a corner.
14:49Five in a corner.
14:50Five in a salad.
14:51Five in a quarter.
14:52The only reason why I got this unit, because of the mystery file cabinet here.
15:04The last time I bought a file cabinet, it was $1,100 in that bird bed.
15:09So, maybe I strike again.
15:13Kumbaya.
15:17Back to the options.
15:22I'm like, we need to go to more auctions in San Diego.
15:28It's nice that we're in San Diego.
15:30And of course, my husband wears shorts, right?
15:32I'm like, it could have been snowy and he still wears shorts.
15:36Nobody had the misconception that he was smart.
15:40I'm like, that's one thing you and I have to agree on.
15:44Here we go!
15:47Last chance to dance.
15:52Clean, at least.
15:56Yeah.
15:57A lot of bins.
16:00It's a nice shelf back there.
16:02What is it, a dresser?
16:03There's no way I can leave cold, wet, and empty-handed.
16:07Please be good.
16:08All right, Kenny, last unit.
16:10Yeah, this is a low-key safari unit.
16:11We got plants, crockpots.
16:14We got all kind of plastic plants.
16:18I could use that blanket right now.
16:21TV monitor, computer screen.
16:24Man, this whole unit's plastic.
16:27Oh, deeper than it looks.
16:29A couple of screens.
16:31Crock-pot.
16:33Like a single mom.
16:34Ooh, got a purse right there.
16:36Fake Gucci.
16:38Nice, big, fat Mexican blankets.
16:40Definitely keep you warm in a day like today.
16:42See, this room turns out to be a little bit better than I thought it was back there.
16:46I might be in one or two times.
16:51There's a couple of TV monitors.
16:52I mean, there's bags back there.
16:54It looks like a singles person, but it's a nice igloo.
16:56You said you wanted a cooler earlier, so it's another igloo.
17:00Do you mean igloo?
17:01Igloo.
17:02Did you say igloo?
17:04I like all this girly stuff, so I'm bidding.
17:07This looks like it's a bad unit, but I do have that itch.
17:12It's called hemorrhoids.
17:13I know.
17:14I need some cream.
17:14Can you apply?
17:15God.
17:17All right, we're going to be going to a nice unit here.
17:19Here we go.
17:19And have us money.
17:20What's your pleasure?
17:20What are you going to pay us in?
17:21I got 20.
17:22Now 25.
17:23Now 30 bucks.
17:2435.

17:27$150.
17:28$150.

17:44$4,50.
17:45$5,50.
17:46$5,500.
17:47$5,500.
17:48$7,50.
17:48$5,000.
17:49Yeah.
17:51Yeah.
18:05Yeah.
18:07Yeah.
18:09Yeah.
18:19You got it.
18:25What the heck just happened?
18:27Folks, that's the end of the auction,
18:29and don't forget to pay the lady.
18:31I'll see you in the office.
18:33Well, that was a lovely waste of time.
18:36This day sucked.
18:37Turns out Banning is no Palm Springs.
18:41It's your unit.
18:43That's about $500 too much.
18:45No, it's not. Here, I bought it. You pull it down.
18:49It's called teamwork, baby.
18:51I don't know what you guys saw in there.
18:55I hope you're a lucky locker, boy.
18:57I'm back.
18:59You better be worth it for all the cabinets.
19:02You got a mattress.
19:04Ain't nobody buying no used mattresses no more.
19:06So you lost money on that one.
19:08We got a hygiene rug.
19:10Might be worth some money.
19:12I'd say about $20 for this shit rug.
19:14Dead motorcycle right here.
19:16And they got a little rust-olean on here.
19:18Ties are flat.
19:19It'd be a slow ride to Vegas.
19:21That's about a good $25 right here.
19:25What is this here?
19:26Let's go to BlackBuy.
19:28What we got here, boy.
19:30We got nothing.
19:33A suitcase and a suitcase.
19:35No money.
19:37All right, what we got here?
19:39Looks like it's never been opened.
19:42What the hell?
19:43Let me see.
19:48It's a computer monitor.
19:49It's kind of fancy.
19:51What is this?
19:52A silicone graphics.
19:54Hmm.
19:55You mean like boobies?
19:58Yeah, boobies are prices these days.
20:02So I'm going to say about a hundred big ones on this one.
20:05Y'all know what I'm talking about, America.
20:08A lot of high-tech stuff right here.
20:11We got a dolly in here.
20:13The dolly is about $10.
20:15You got this here fire cabinet.
20:17Empty.
20:18Let me see.
20:19Empty.
20:20Empty.
20:21Empty.
20:23Empty.
20:24Empty.
20:25Empty.
20:30Rubble rap, bitch.
20:31What the hell?
20:32I thought there was going to be a hidden treasure in here.
20:35Not locked.
20:36Not good.
20:37Thirty-seven dollars.
20:38You let me down, file cabinets.
20:43Is that Ivy out here banging around out there?
20:46Ivy!
20:47I need some help over here, boy!
20:50Can you help me get this out of here?
20:52Can you help me get this out of here so I can get to the back?
20:54Oh, it's empty.
20:55I know what that means.
20:56Empty fog cabinets?
20:57Bad thing.
21:00Damn.
21:03What kind of Cheerios you eating?
21:04Damn, you just dragged that thing like that, bro.
21:07The kind with oats in them.
21:08Oh, I got to get some of them things.
21:10Empty boxes.
21:11Empty boxes.
21:12Empty box.
21:14Damn, I got full America.
21:16All these boxes are empty.
21:18They're terrible.
21:19How much you pay again?
21:20525.
21:21Hey, look.
21:22That's how much you paid right there.
21:23525.
21:25That's God talking to you.
21:27Come on, God.
21:28Please be a sign of good things to cook.
21:30Ain't in here, man, but empty boxes, empty containers.
21:34I've got nothing.
21:35Don't cry in front of me.
21:36Cry when you get in your car so I don't see it.
21:38Kenny need to stop all this crying and start digging.
21:41Let me see.
21:42You don't know how to dig.
21:43You got to dig.
21:44You got to dig.
21:45Well, oh, my goodness.
21:49That's what's in these.
21:51You know what?
21:52I'm leaving because this could be contagious.
21:53It's like a virus.
21:54It's spread.
21:55I'm out of here.
21:57Works on cooties, too.
21:59I want to thank you for helping me carry out the damn file
22:03cabinet.
22:03Oh, you need more help than that.
22:05Way more help than that.
22:10Ain't nothing, bro.
22:11What the hell is this?
22:19What we got here, boy?
22:23What the hell is this?
22:25Some kind of torture device.
22:27I don't know what the hell.
22:28I don't see no name on it.
22:30And we got this big-ass piece of dental floss right here.
22:34Broken wash parts.
22:38Somebody was trying to be a washman.
22:39I don't know nothing about this ticky-tock bits and bobs,
22:42but I will find somebody who does.
22:44Believe that, America.
22:45We got two containers.
22:47Probably give $5 a piece on them.
22:52We got something in here.
22:56Kind of heavy, too.
22:57Subwoofer.
22:58Speaker.
22:59So TS-10.
23:01This here subwoofer, you're not going to get the quality sound.
23:04You probably get something like something like that.
23:09But you probably get about $100 for it.
23:13Kenny, this was not good.
23:16This was not good.
23:17I'm leaving with no money, wet feet, and an empty trunk.
23:21Not a good day, America.
23:23Well, I made half of my money back and hope I can wind up some
23:28profits with this clock collection right here.
23:31But it's our time to go.
23:42Why did we buy this again?
23:45It looks good.
23:46It's a girl unit.
23:47I see a handbag right there.
23:48It tells all kinds of stories of maybe designer good stuff.
23:52Okay.
23:53Let's see what we got.
23:55Shoes.
23:55Ooh.
23:56Ten bucks.
23:58See the bag.
23:59Ooh, and see, look, there's a bag inside of a bag.
24:02Will there be a bag inside the other bag?
24:04I feel like, ooh, see, look.
24:07Here's another 10 bucks.
24:08You told me it was full of handbags.
24:10That's probably like...
24:1150 bucks?
24:12Oh, that's a little bit more interesting.
24:14Stuff from Mexico.
24:16Doll.
24:1720 bucks.
24:19Clothes.
24:20Clothes.
24:21Clothes.
24:22Junk.
24:23It's a nice coat.
24:24This right here is 30 bucks.
24:26I know.
24:27You just want to be right, but not fill in this locker.
24:29The only good thing I see right now is the sun.
24:32Oh, actually, this is nice.
24:34Oh, Lakers.
24:35Oh, my God.
24:36That's so cute.
24:3720 bucks.
24:38Look, more bags.
24:39See, I told you.
24:40I sell all kinds of bags.
24:41$10 each.
24:42Great.
24:43Well, they only need about 60 fake bags to break even.
24:46Cooler.
24:4710 bucks.
24:48Television.
24:4920 bucks.
24:50Vizio, Sonia.
24:51A little bit bigger.
24:5240 bucks.
24:53I'm sorry, baby.
24:54I feel like you shouldn't have bought this unit.
24:57You know you're not making any money when your best item of the day is a neon green igloo.
25:0310 bucks.
25:04Hey.
25:05Nay.
25:06Now I win the money.
25:07Oh, that looks like it'll fit you.
25:08It's just your size.
25:09Okay.
25:10Alright.
25:11I think for the safety of the company, I should make the unit purchasing decisions again.
25:18Close.
25:19Close.
25:20Close.
25:21Close.
25:2210 bucks.
25:23Careful with the stuff that's good.
25:26What was good?
25:28Stop it.
25:29Where's the other shoe?
25:32This is an expensive designer.
25:35Tory Burch?
25:36Tory Burch.
25:37Okay.
25:38What's it worth?
25:3910, 20 bucks?
25:40No, it's worth more than that.
25:41But where's the other shoe?
25:42That's the question.
25:43Where did you get this?
25:44It like bounced out of something.
25:46Oh, look at that.
25:47Close.
25:4810 bucks if you're lucky.
25:49You bought a garbage unit.
25:50You should have just dropped this on brandy.
25:5320 bucks maybe.
25:55Hi.
25:56Here's a tree.
25:57Here, do the hula hoops.
25:58Don't you know how to do that?
25:59They suck.
26:00Okay, your turn.
26:01Show me how it's done.
26:02There you go.
26:03Well, that's one way to get you to shake your hips.
26:05Oh, my God.
26:06This is actually something that might be worth money, a guest jacket.
26:08Yeah, see?
26:09Oh, and it's camo.
26:10That's the first valuable item.
26:11That's 40 bucks.
26:12Here's another bag full of bags.
26:13Here we go.
26:14More bags.
26:1560 bucks.
26:16This is like one of the worst units we've ever bought.
26:17You're not allowed to bid anymore.
26:18Sorry.
26:19Oh, see?
26:20There's the other designer shoe.
26:21There you go.
26:22Tori Birch is super expensive.
26:23On the secondary market, it's definitely 50 bucks.
26:26Oh, my God.
26:27Oh, my God.
26:28This is actually something that might be worth money, a guest jacket.
26:29Yeah, see?
26:30Oh, and it's camo.
26:31That's the first valuable item.
26:32That's 40 bucks.
26:33Here's another bag full of bags.
26:34Here we go.
26:35More bags.
26:3660 bucks.
26:37This is like one of the worst units we've ever bought.
26:39You're not allowed to bid anymore.
26:40Sorry.
26:41Oh, see?
26:42There's the other designer shoe.
26:43The secondary market is definitely 50 bucks.
26:46Scooter, 10 bucks.
26:49Stuffed animals, 10 bucks.
26:51What about this box?
26:53We already looked at that box.
26:54No, we didn't.
26:55I pulled this one out.
26:57Two DVD players, 10 bucks each.
26:59What is that?
27:00It's all that?
27:01Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
27:03I feel like I might have picked a good unit.
27:06The hell is that?
27:09The hell is that?
27:11Oh, you be quiet.
27:12I bought the unit.
27:13That looks like camera equipment.
27:14What is that?
27:15It looks like a lens.
27:16Compensating sight.
27:17Gyroscope.
27:18When I think of gyro, I think of food.
27:19It looks military.
27:20The way it's built, it looks old.
27:21Look how heavy that is.
27:22Like, that's how they used to build stuff in the 40s.
27:24Wow.
27:25Yeah, this thing is made to last.
27:26It's solid.
27:27It does have an altar.
27:28It does have an altar.
27:29It does have an altar.
27:30It does have an altar.
27:31It does have an altar.
27:32It does have an altar.
27:33It does have an altar.
27:34It does have an altar.
27:35It does have an altar.
27:36It does have an altar.
27:37It's like strafe.
27:38I mean, strafe means, like, straffing.
27:39When you fly, compensating sight.
27:40That is most likely from a fighter plane.
27:42So just imagine, you're chasing me, and you see me, and go, and then you go, ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta!
27:59How do you know this?
28:00You, like, know a little bit about everything.
28:03It's crazy.
28:04Yeah, I think it's something maybe we should get checked out.
28:07Yeah, we should, yeah, let's find out what it's worth,
28:09but I'm keeping it because you're making me buy a crappy unit.
28:13This is my reward.
28:14That might be one of my coolest finds in a while.
28:16Oh, he's going to be really sad when I sell that thing.
28:19Lord of the Rings Blu-rays.
28:21Probably 50 bucks in here.
28:23Why are you always stacking mountains?
28:26In the warehouse, you have mountains.
28:27Now you're doing it in here.
28:28Yeah, dishes, 10 bucks.
28:32That's Claiborne.
28:34Told you, tons of designer handbags.
28:36This is brand new.
28:3820 bucks.
28:39Nice.
28:40It's full of sunglasses.
28:42Sunglasses?
28:46Are you okay?
28:53Oh, my God.
28:55Mm.
28:56Oh, my God.
28:59Well, one thing is for sure.
29:00What?
29:01This is solid wood.
29:03And next time, that's just brandy by the stupid-ass locker.
29:05I'm lugging my fancy flatware over to Sally and Lawrence at Studio Antiques.
29:13Let's see if they can turn this silver into money.
29:17You thought I was going to say gold, didn't you?
29:19Hey, how you doing, mate?
29:21Hey, guys.
29:21How you doing?
29:22Good to see you.
29:22Good to see you.
29:23Good to see you.
29:24And you.
29:24Well, let's get down to business.
29:27Uh-oh.
29:28You almost got slapped in the face right there, didn't you?
29:29Yeah, buy me there.
29:30Let's, you know.
29:31All righty.
29:32Well, I brought some silver.
29:33And we all know, well, we all know about silver.
29:36We kind of do, yeah.
29:37I have my few little things that tell me about silver.
29:39So look, you know, softness tells me, thickness tells me, weight tells me, and I like silver.
29:45But there's always those few things that I just don't know.
29:49That's where you come in.
29:50Well, we're going to help you out with that one, matey.
29:53Ooh, look at that.
29:56Ooh, look at this.
29:58This is beautiful.
29:59This is good.
30:00Oh, I know this pattern, actually.
30:02This is really cool.
30:04Isn't it gorgeous?
30:04It's a hard-to-find pattern.
30:05Did you know that?
30:06No.
30:06Yeah.
30:07That's why I'm here.
30:07It's made by a...
30:08It feels good.
30:09Stife?
30:10Is it stife, right?
30:10Yeah, stife.
30:11So this company is famous for this kind of design.
30:15Yeah.
30:15If this is reposé, or if it's rose reposé, reposé refers to the fact that the pattern
30:22was hammered from the bottom, as opposed to an emboss, which would be from the top.
30:28This is heavy stuff, matey.
30:29I love that thickness.
30:31It kind of reminds me of myself.
30:32So if you look at the serving thing, there's a dinner fork.
30:39A fork, salad fork, a dinner knife, and a teaspoon.
30:44Usually, they're in five with a tablespoon with it.
30:49So this one is missing that fifth spoon.
30:52Mother forker, where's my spoon?
30:55Somebody ain't getting soup.
30:56But look at how clean and shiny they are.
31:00That's unreal, isn't it?
31:01It must have been somebody's really good silverware.
31:04So I want to point out, is that not every set of flatware is sterling.
31:09And in this case, this one we know, because it says sterling.
31:13But if you had picked this up and it didn't have anything that said sterling, then likely
31:20it would not be sterling.
31:21That's when I get worried.
31:23Do you want to look at this piece?
31:24Okay.
31:25The reason I want to show you is it's not sterling, okay?
31:28So the Hotel Modesto, when it was built in 1914, it was like the fancy place.
31:35So clearly, they customized this for their location.
31:39It burned down in, I think, 1944.
31:42So, yeah, a lot of people collect this hotel where they call it, right?
31:46But this is a harder piece to get.
31:48Oh, you mean, how are you doing, man?
31:49You're all right.
31:49Yeah.
31:50I like the voice of that thing right there.
31:53All righty.
31:54Well, you know the magical question was coming.
31:56Yeah.
31:57And the question is, how much money can you serve me up?
32:00I can serve you up for this.
32:05Well, you know the magical question was coming.
32:07Yeah.
32:08And the question is, how much money can you serve me up?
32:11I can serve you up for this.
32:13This eight ounces, I can serve you up around about 150, man.
32:18All righty, all righty.
32:19That's pretty cool, eh?
32:20I mean, a lot good tonight on that.
32:23On this one here, hmm.
32:30There ain't no poison ivy here, man.
32:32This is all good ivy.
32:33Good ivy.
32:3725,000!
32:4025 big smackaroos, man.
32:42All right, that's a spoonful of money there.
32:45Congratulations.
32:46Oh.
32:47Jubilations.
32:47It is.
32:48I'm happy inside.
32:49I'm not showing it, though.
32:50Oh, okay, okay.
32:51I'm going to just go, sell it, and celebrate.
32:54Oh, celebrate.
32:55I'm an old kind of celebration guy.
32:57And what do you do?
32:58Drink beer and say yay.
32:59Yeah.
32:59Hey.
33:00I'm a big history nerd, so I'm excited to meet with Jeff Fulahan at the March Airfield
33:11Museum to find out more about the site.
33:14Hi, Jeff.
33:15Hi.
33:15Renee.
33:16Nice to meet you.
33:17Welcome to the Marchfield Air Museum.
33:18My wife, Casey.
33:19Hi, Casey.
33:19Nice to meet you, too.
33:20This place is absolutely amazing.
33:22Well, thank you.
33:23We're one of the largest air museums on the west coast of the United States.
33:25It's got a great collection.
33:27I can't wait to look around.
33:28But first, I brought you something.
33:30My laser beam sight collector attack sight destroyer ground something, maybe.
33:35Ah, that's a beauty.
33:37You know, these things are not normally in that beautiful condition.
33:40This is practically mint.
33:41But this is a K-11 gun sight that was built for a B-24 Liberator turret.
33:45Oh, for a bomber?
33:46For a bomber.
33:47I thought it was a fighter.
33:48No, they're a little bit different.
33:50Sperry made gun sights for fighters, too.
33:52They were made around 1943, 1944, a little late in the war.
33:56But this K-11 was specifically for the nose gun of a B-24.
34:00Why would a B-24 have a nose gun?
34:02They don't maneuver where they crown strap.
34:04Yeah, you know, during the Second World War, one of the biggest difficulties the bombers had is enemy fighters attacking them from the nose.
34:11They'd come straight on at them.
34:13And as they came at them, they had no way to defend themselves.
34:16So they actually built gun turrets into the nose of these bombers so that they would be able to fire at them.
34:21One of the real difficult things about aviation and gun sights in general is that what happens is you've got a target coming in at you like this,
34:29and then you're moving like this.
34:30So everything's in constant motion.
34:32So when you fire, you can't fire directly at whoever the target is.
34:35You've got to go ahead, yeah.
34:36You know, you have to go out, and it arcs.
34:38The bullets arc around like this, and that'll catch them as they come in.
34:41I played every simulator in the 90s that was a plane simulator.
34:45Well, then you know.
34:46That's exactly how it works.
34:47This, what it did is it would put a little sight called a PIP, a P-I-P, position indicator, right, right in the glass here.
34:55It would show you where that you should aim in order to be able to hit that fighter.
34:59It's got a couple of things on it that are really unique, too.
35:02Right here, you can set the altitude, and you can set your own speed, and then you lock this into the turret so it's lined up with the guns.
35:09And whenever it moves, it'll put that reflection right up there on the sight so you know exactly where you should be shooting in order to be able to hit that enemy fighter as it comes in.
35:17And is that an actual time period piece, or is that...
35:19This is absolutely, it's probably the most pristine example of a K-11 gun sight I've ever seen.
35:26Really?
35:26This is something that is absolutely priceless.
35:29It is unique.
35:30It is a piece of American history from the Second World War.
35:32Whoa, whoa, whoa.
35:34Unique?
35:35History?
35:36Best you've ever seen?
35:37So how much would you invest in something like this to have the best one on display?
35:40I cannot legally say, according to the American Alliance of Museums, I can never put a price on an artifact.
35:46All I can never say is it's priceless.
35:50I'm priceless, but I'll do certain things for price.
35:53I'm just kidding.
35:53There's always an amount, right?
35:54We heard that here first.
35:57Well, can we check out some of those gun sights you were talking about?
35:59Absolutely.
36:00I want to see what it's like.
36:00Could you imagine back in the day, like, how little you had to be?
36:07Like, they would actually have to sit in here, and then they would have to lean over like this.
36:11And the entire time, they would just have to have their arms rested like this.
36:14And they always got to be ready to fight, right?
36:15Because you never know when a fighter comes out.
36:18And now you see him on your side.
36:19He's coming.
36:20It's a 190.
36:21He's coming to take you out.
36:22You know he's going to aim for the turret first.
36:23So you just be like, all right, come on, you German.
36:26Come over here!
36:26Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da.
36:34Captain, they're coming.
36:35There's more M109's coming.
36:37We don't know what to do.
36:38B, B, B, B, B, B, B, B.
36:39190's at your six.
36:40Ah!
36:41Uh, did you get him?
36:42I don't know.
36:43I was just going by instinct.
36:45I'm an instinct fighter.
36:46I don't think.
36:46I just go.
36:47Isn't that what they teach you, like, in Just Go?
36:50No, they never teach you instinct.
36:52Instinct always gets you in trouble.
36:53That's how I got married.
36:59I'm taking my mini-clock hit to see Dimitri Kossoi at Rush Hour, Georgia.
37:04Kumbaya.
37:06Sound like prison gate.
37:09They said time is money, so here's hoping he'll give me a lot of it.
37:12Dimitri.
37:13Yes.
37:14Kenny.
37:14Kenny.
37:15I called you earlier.
37:16Yes.
37:16I got this here special find.
37:19Uh-huh.
37:19And that's why I called you to check it out for me.
37:22Okay, let's see.
37:24Uh, okay.
37:24I thought it was like somebody just collecting parts.
37:29No, it's not.
37:29And then it's a big old piece of floss.
37:33And it's an old watchmaker lid.
37:36Old watchmaker lid?
37:37Probably from 40s, 50s.
37:40Oh, really?
37:41Yeah.
37:42Most likely made it Switzerland or Germany.
37:46There used to be the manufacturing for tools like that.
37:50Uh-huh.
37:51The watchmakers used to fix the broken pillars.
37:56The broken what now?
37:57See, in the end, there is a small pillar.
37:59All right.
38:00Oh, a pivot.
38:02Usually if something like that breaks, so you put it in that machine, you cut it into the shape you need for the watch.
38:09You know, you need to...
38:10That's what that does?
38:11Cut it?
38:12Yeah, that cuts.
38:12So, and you do it by hand.
38:14So if you need to fix something quick, you do that.
38:18So a watch lathe fixes those teeny tiny mechanical pieces that lives inside of the watch.
38:24What kind of condition do you think it's in right now?
38:26It's in pretty good shape.
38:28Yeah?
38:28Yeah.
38:29Is this the...
38:30You think this is the original case, too?
38:31Yeah, it is the original case.
38:33The case worked by the tune in.
38:35No, it's just a nice addition.
38:37Yeah?
38:38So is this a professional watch fixer-upper or amateur?
38:43No, it is a professional.
38:44There's a professional?
38:45It's for somebody who knows what he's doing.
38:47What they're doing?
38:47Yeah.
38:48Does this work on all kind of watches, old watches, new watches?
38:52Pretty much any watch which has a mechanical part which needs fixing, it's possible, yeah.
38:59We know time is money, but how much money is this time worth?
39:03Can you give me a price on this?
39:06Nowadays, I would say something like that costs...
39:14Like $850.
39:17That's what I'm talking about.
39:19Dang it!
39:20Tick-tocking, it don't stop.
39:22About time I saw some profit.
39:26What is it?
39:26You start seeing something?
39:27Oh, yeah.
39:27You got to put it way up to...
39:28Ooh, this...
39:29I can see clearly now that time is gone.
39:32so you do that.
39:36Kasey planned a little layover at Vintage Productions to see Bob Chad.
39:42She is desperate to see profit in outside.
39:45Wow!
39:45Hey, how are you? Nice to see you. How are you? You know, Casey, I found something cool I need your expertise on.
39:52Oh, that's really cool. It's the K-11 Spearie gun sight.
39:55This was like revolutionary. It was used in the front nose of the B-24 as the plane.
40:00No matter how high it went or how fast it was going, this piece would adjust the gun sights for the 50 caliber machine guns.
40:05This advanced the U.S. air power like it had never been done before.
40:09No more Germans coming on the front, huh?
40:10Yeah. Germans, Japanese, everything. I mean, this set made the B-24s just untouchable.
40:16Wow. Do you see these a lot?
40:18In the military business, you will see them. Old pilots want to have them. You know, airplane enthusiasts want to have them.
40:25And they sell frequently. You'll see them hit the market.
40:28Okay. Have you ever seen one in this good of a conditional?
40:30No, I will say that's the best conditional I've ever seen.
40:32You're the second person telling me that today.
40:34You know, one thing that's always missing when you look at these is the lamp and you've got the lamp in there.
40:39That's always missing. So that's a plus.
40:42Usually they're all beat up. They're scratched. Pieces are broken on it.
40:45Well, I got a really good, reliable source. It's priceless.
40:49I don't think it's priceless. We can go from there.
40:53So, you know, my main concern, how strong is the market with this and how much can I get out of it?
40:57You know, you'll see these all over the spectrum.
41:01You'll see them really super high, people hoping to catch somebody.
41:04But, you know, I think because of the condition, the bulb's there, all the lenses there, the condition is fantastic.
41:10This one should sell for...
41:12$4.50.
41:17Actually, that's pretty good money. I mean, it's all profit at this point.
41:20But you know what? I think I'm going to have to keep it.
41:22So you get home, put it in the bathroom, and you're going to work on your aim, right?
41:25It's... it's that...
41:28Casey!
41:31Oh, that's okay.
41:35Ivy Calvin turned silver into money, serving up 2,800 smackaroos.
41:43Kenny Crossley watched his bank account grow to over 600 bucks.
41:49Renee and Casey took aim and...
41:51Sorry, flyboy. I'm selling this.
41:54Renee and Casey took aim and bagged a $365 profit, while Brandy Passante returned home cold and wet.
42:06All right, Kenny, time to learn how to swim.
42:09I'm right here. I won't let you drown. I was a lifeguard in high school.
42:12Sure, pal.
42:13Yeah.
42:15Bruh.
42:15Come on. Come on.
42:17There you go.
42:19Ooh! Damn!
42:21It almost took my nuts, brother.
42:22Oh!
42:24Come on, Kenny. Come on.
42:25Come on. One more step.
42:26No, no, no, no. This... this... this enough on lesson one.
42:28Come on!
42:29I'm sorry. I'm sorry. We still friends. Adios, amiga.
42:33I got a better idea, homie.
42:37Stop.
42:38I'm swimming. Look at me swimming, girl.
42:43Woo! This is cold.
42:44Hold your breath.
42:45Great first lesson.
42:47You're doing great. Proud of you.
