Baghpat (UP) – A horrific mob lynching occurred on a Delhi-Saharanpur passenger train where 39-year-old Deepak Yadav was beaten to death by 15–20 youths over a seat dispute near Fakharpur station.
Deepak, a factory worker from Delhi’s Bhagirath Palace and father of two, was travelling home to Khekra on Friday night. After a brief argument over a seat, he was assaulted with kicks, belts, and sharp weapons for nearly 10 km — from Fakharpur to Khekra station. Three disturbing videos show the brutal assault.
The attackers, allegedly linked to the Rahul Baba gang from Basi village, fled as the train halted at Khekra. A co-passenger alerted Deepak’s family and GRP. He was rushed to the hospital but declared dead.
Police have detained four suspects. Deepak’s family alleges he was targeted for being alone and unrelated to an earlier scuffle involving his friends.
