The Gaza Strip is facing a new escalation of violence, with more than 70 Palestinians killed and 200 wounded in the last 24 hours according to the local Ministry of Health, including 12 civilians (3 children) killed in an Israeli shelling of displaced people's camps in Al-Mawasi, while the total number of casualties exceeds 55,000 since October 2023. Hospitals, such as Al-Aqsa, are collapsed with no beds available, and the UN warns that 96% of the population is severely food insecure, all this despite global calls for a ceasefire.
