00:00Blasts are seen in Tel Aviv on Friday night as sirens sound across Israel under barrages
00:04of Iranian missiles as Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei wows to inflict heavy blows.
00:10The Israel Defense Forces announced that the whole country is under fire from projectiles
00:13coming from Iran and Yemen.
00:15Several Israelis are wounded, according to the Israeli media.
00:18The attack is Iran's retaliation for a massive wave of Israeli airstrikes overnight, which
00:23hit over 200 targets.
00:25Anticipating this response, Israel had already developed reservists and warned its citizens
00:29to stay near protected areas and shelters.
00:32Israel's military confirmed on Friday its strikes targeted nuclear facilities at Isfahan and
00:37reportedly Fordow, after previously dismantling the Natan site.
00:42The Israeli strikes also killed several of Iran's top military leaders, including its chief of
00:46staff and senior figures in the Revolutionary Guard.
00:49European leaders are calling for immediate de-escalation, but U.S. President Donald Trump
00:53called the initial Israeli strikes excellent and warned more is to come.
00:56Iran has called for an emergency UN Security Council meeting.
01:01With Israel sealing of the West Bank and Iran restricting internet access, the region remains
01:05on high alert for further escalation.
01:10After military attacks between Israel and Iran overnight, European leaders are voicing
01:14alarm and calling for immediate de-escalation.
01:17On the other hand, U.S. President Donald Trump made further warnings and threats to Tehran to
01:22make the nuclear deal, saying that there is still time to end the slaughter before there
01:26is nothing left.
01:29Trump said his country makes the most lethal military equipment and that Israel has a lot
01:33of it, with much more to come.
01:35On Friday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer urged all parties to step back while his Dutch
01:40counterpart, Dick Skoof, said de-escalation is necessary.
01:44German Chancellor Friedrich Maersk convened his security cabinet, warning of the threat posed
01:50by Iran's nuclear program and vowing to use diplomatic means.
01:53From Brussels, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called the news deeply alarming
02:00and urged maximum restraint.
02:02France, Finland and Ireland echoed calls to end the cycle of violence and return to diplomacy.
02:09Meanwhile, thousands of Iranians took the streets in the capital to protest the attacks,
02:17demanding revenge and chanting slogans against Israel and the United States.
02:23The crisis erupted just two days before G7 leaders meet in Canada, where it's now expected
02:27to top the agenda.
02:28Israel's Mossad intelligence agency carried out a multi-pronged covert operation deep inside
02:41Iran, using advanced systems and explosive drones to strike multiple targets overnight,
02:48sources told Euronews.
02:51Mossad deployed systems equipped with precision-guided weaponry deep inside Iranian territory, a source
02:57from Israeli intelligence told Euronews on condition of anonymity.
03:03These systems were activated as the Israeli military offensive began, launching precision-guided
03:09missiles at pre-selected targets.
03:14In a separate operation, Mossad secretly installed strike systems, designed to neutralise Iranian
03:20air defences that, according to Israel, posed a threat to its fighter jets.
03:27A third operation was mounted in which Mossad established a base for launching explosive drones
03:33deep inside Iran.
03:35During the attack, these drones were launched from that base towards a nearby military installation.
03:42It's chaos for international air travellers, as the military escalation between Iran and
03:49Israel prompted multiple airspace closures and dozens of flight cancellations.
03:54Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport has been shut down until further notice.
03:59Israel's flag carrier, Elal Airlines, has suspended all flights to and from the country, adding
04:06that it was moving some of its planes abroad.
04:10Other major carriers, including Air France, Emirates, Lufthansa, United and Delta have cancelled
04:16flights to the region.
04:18Iran, too, halted all inbound and outbound traffic from its Imam Khomeini International Airport.
04:25Jordan, Iran, Israel and Iraq all closed their airspace.
04:30Thousands of travellers have been diverted to other destinations through Egypt and Saudi Arabia,
04:36or north via Turkey, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
04:40Over 25 flights carrying more than 2,000 passengers have been diverted to Cyprus.
04:47Authorities in European countries like the UK, Italy, Spain and France are advising against
04:53all travel to Iran.
