A lorry crashed into a house in Kahang, Kluang, after trying to avoid hitting a motorcycle.

According to Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh, the incident occurred on Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing, Kampung Seri Lukut, at around 8.20am on Friday (June 13).

00:14said the 37-year-old lorry driver lost control of the vehicle around 8.20 a.m., causing it to
00:22veer onto the right road shoulder and crash into an empty house. Following a police report lodged
00:28by the 43-year-old homeowner, the driver, who holds a valid license, was detained and tested
00:34negative for drugs. ACP Bahrin said the crash damaged the side of the house, including the
00:40roof, ceiling and kitchen wall. The lorry driver suffered hand injuries and the vehicle's front
00:46section was also damaged. The case is being investigated under Rule 10 of the road traffic
00:51rules for failure to control a vehicle.
