Pakistani man killed in car-trailer collision in Johor

A 22-year-old Pakistani man was killed in a head-on collision involving a car and a trailer lorry at KM67.5 of Jalan Johor Baru-Mersing on Saturday (March 8) night. 00:20Preliminary investigations suggested that the victim's car, travelling from Mersing

00:25towards Kota Tinggi, attempted to overtake another vehicle but failed to avoid an oncoming

00:31trailer lorry from the opposite direction.

00:33The impact of the crash left the victim trapped inside his vehicle and he was pronounced dead

00:38at the scene.

00:39Authorities confirmed that the 57-year-old trailer lorry driver sustained no injuries.

00:45The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act

00:511987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
