WASHINGTON, KOMPAS.TV - Presiden Amerika Serikat (AS), Donald Trump menyampaikan pernyataan sebelum Israel menyerang fasilitas Iran.    Menurutnya, serangan Israel terhadap Iran akan sangat mungkin terjadi.    "Sepertinya itu adalah sesuatu yang sangat mungkin terjadi. Begini, ini sangat sederhana, tidak rumit. Iran tidak boleh memiliki senjata nuklir," ujar Donald Trump di Gedung Putih, Washington DC, Jumat (13/6/2025).    Lebih lanjut, Trump mengatakan pihaknya berupaya menghindari konflik dan tengah melakukan negosiasi dengan Iran terkait nuklir.    "Kami telah melakukan diskusi yang sangat baik dengan Iran apakah kami akan mencapainya atau tidak, saya tidak dapat memberi tahu Anda, tetapi itu akan terjadi segera," tandasnya. 00:48They were getting ready.

00:49Pakistan was now, it was their turn to hit,

00:51and eventually they're going to go nuclear.

00:53And I stopped it.

00:54I called each.

00:55I respect each leader greatly.

00:57I know them.

00:57And I spoke to them, and I talked about trade.

01:02I said, but you're not trading with us if you're going to go to war,

01:04if you're going to start throwing nuclear weapons around.

01:07And I said it to both of them,

01:08and they were both unbelievable, actually.

01:11They understood it exactly.

01:12They stopped.

01:14I stopped that war with phone calls and trade.

01:17And India's here right now negotiating a trade deal,

01:21and Pakistan's coming, I think, next week.

01:23And I'm very proud of that.

01:25Nobody died.

01:27Nobody, the nuclear weapons,

01:30they each have very severe, very, very substantial numbers of nuclear weapons.

01:34How confident are you, sir, that conflict with Iran can be avoided?

01:39Well, I'd love to avoid the conflict.

01:42Iran's going to have to negotiate a little bit tougher,

01:45meaning they're going to have to give us some things that they're not willing to give us right now.

01:50I'm the last person.

01:52I've kept us out of wars.

01:53We defeated ISIS completely, 100%.

01:56And I haven't had a...

01:58It's peace through strength.

01:59I believe in peace through strength.

02:01We're the greatest military in the world.

02:03I rebuilt the military, as you remember, for four years.

02:05I rebuilt the military.

02:07And then we gave a chunk of it away, but it was still peanuts.

02:10It was a lot, but it was peanuts compared to what we rebuilt.

02:13Gave it to Afghanistan,

02:15one of the most embarrassing moments in the history of our country

02:19where the whole withdrawal, the way they withdrew,

02:23was very embarrassing.

02:24But we rebuilt the military.

02:26We have the greatest, strongest military.

02:28We defeated ISIS.

02:30We defeated ISIS.

02:32As the Israelis apparently gear up for some kind of an attack,

02:35a possible attack on Iran,

02:37are you trying to talk Netanyahu out of doing that?

02:41Or are you so against Iran having a nuclear weapon that you're okay?

02:46He does his thing because it's not an American support.

02:50Yeah, it's a very fair question.

02:51Look, I want to have an agreement with Iran.

02:54We're fairly close to an agreement.

02:56We are fairly close to a pretty good agreement.

02:59It's got to be better than pretty good, though,

03:01but it's got to be...

03:02I'd much prefer an agreement.

03:04As long as I think there is an agreement,

03:06I don't want them going in,

03:07because I think I would blow it.

03:09Might help it, actually, but it also could blow it.

03:12But we've had very good discussions with Iran.

03:16Whether or not we get there, I can't tell you,

03:18but it'll happen soon.

03:20I say this, Peter, very strongly.

03:22They can't have...

03:23Whether it's going in or not going in,

03:25they can't have a nuclear weapon.

03:27I'd prefer the more friendly path.

03:30And can you tell us what the Israelis told you

03:33that made you start to evacuate the dependents

03:36of servicemen and women who are stationed in the Middle East?

03:39They can't tell me anything, but I said,

03:40look, there's a chance of massive conflict.

03:42We have a lot of American people in this area.

03:45And I said, we've got to tell them to get out,

03:48because something could happen soon.

03:50And I don't want to be the one that didn't give any warning

03:52and missiles are flying into their buildings.

03:56It's possible.

03:57So I had to do it.

04:00You know, I had the choice.

04:01Do I do it or not?

04:02Doing it has its downside, but it also has its upside.

04:05Like, you're going to save a lot of lives

04:07if it should happen.
