00:00But Mr. Burns, with a 65, and I just watched, before you came, I mean, there was just all day long, I've been watching bad shots.

00:09All day, there's been bad shots all over the place.

00:12For a guy to shoot 65 today with some of the stuff that I've been watching, unbelievable.

00:17I'll tell you what, Mr. Burns was, he was dialed in today.

00:21There's no doubt about that.

00:22And in fact, Mike, you know, we were talking about this before we just jumped on.

00:25He was dialed in yesterday.

00:27It was just his last four holes where he shot five over.

00:30But today, today was a master class.

00:32102 feet of putts this guy makes.

00:34He's gaining over three strokes with his iron game, which is not something that he's known for.

00:38He's got the driver in play.

00:41He gained nine and a half strokes on the field today.

00:44So you're doing things like that.

00:46That's similar to what JJ did yesterday.

00:49He throws down a number like 65 at Oakmont, which is like kind of a legendary number.

00:53I mean, there's less than like a dozen guys that have ever done that here in a U.S. Open.

00:57And it's a pretty special day.

00:58And we'd love to keep the Burns train rolling over at Read the Line, because if you're reading

01:03the line, then you know we have a vested interest in this.

01:06I certainly do with Mr. Burns here this weekend.

01:10So it's nice to have somebody.

01:11And I kind of feel like he's going to.

01:14Now, Spawn is still hanging around.

01:17This Lawrence, he's a wild ride.

01:19I mean, he birdied three in a row.

01:21He bogeyed three in a row.

01:22He just took a T-shirt 17.

01:25He looked like he was shooting it out to the highway.

01:27I'm not sure what he was doing.

01:29I feel like he could have a share of the lead by the end of the day.

01:33I mean, maybe even.

01:34I mean, who knows what JJ does coming in, but maybe even outright have the lead by the

01:40end of the day with that 65.

01:42I mean, there's a good possibility of this.

01:44And, you know, we talked about this, you and I, yesterday, when we were, you know, doing

01:48this at the same time 24 hours ago.

01:50And I said, you know, this PM-AM wave is going to have an advantage.

01:54Well, yesterday, they were about, the scoring average was about a stroke lower than it was

01:58for the guys in the morning on Thursday.

02:00And then this morning, their stroke average was about a stroke lower than it was yesterday

02:06morning.

02:06So they've almost got a two-stroke advantage on the field just to how the golf course played.

02:11Now, certainly, when they cross the turnpike and they go over and play holes,

02:14two through eight, it's much harder over there.

02:17It's been about a stroke and a half harder on that side of the turnpike.

02:20They come back over here where the guys are on the back nine.

02:23And, you know, most of the longer holes are downhill.

02:26And you have an opportunity to do a little bit of scoring if that's possible here at Oakmont.

02:32So that's what we've seen all day today.

02:35And I feel good about where Burns is sitting.

02:37That's for sure.

02:37You have to at this point.

02:41And also, you have to because the names around him, Keith, is the other thing that you have

02:48to think about here.

02:49You know, when this wraps up today and we start to look at who's going to be around Sam Burns,

02:55whether he's in the final pair or even the second to last, I think he'll be in the final

02:58pair tomorrow one way or the other.

02:59But, you know, Lawrence, Dietry, Ben Griffin, Victor Perez.

03:05Now, yes, Victor Hovland is there.

03:09And he played great this morning as well.

03:11But, you know, Sam, don't call me Ben Stevens.

03:15You know, you got a lot of guys hanging around here that, you know, not a lot of major championship

03:21pedigree here hanging around the top of this board.

03:25Yeah.

03:25I mean, you got Ben Griffin out there with his blue blockers as well.

03:28You know, I mean, Adam Scott and Victor Hovland catch my attention near the top of that leaderboard.

03:34I think Siwoo is not patient enough to get around this place for four straight days and

03:38keep it together.

03:39JJ Spahn, he did hang around, you know, at the players and he made it to that playoff with

03:44Rory and he's a great ball striker.

03:46We knew the putting when he wouldn't keep up.

03:48But, I mean, he's been even par today.

03:50So, you got to give him his credit.

03:51I mean, he's hanging around because he is a very good ball striker.

03:54But some of these other names, I'm happy to go toe-to-toe with my Sam Burns.
