00:00As far as Halliburton goes, I gave you those numbers.
00:02People have been saying they want him to score more,
00:05that he does too much passing and other things.
00:08Halliburton, Scottie, really doesn't care what people think.
00:13Yeah, I think the commentary is always going to be what it is.
00:18Most of the time, the talking heads on the major platforms,
00:23I couldn't care less, honestly.
00:26What do they really know about basketball?
00:27But I think as a group and watching film myself,
00:32seeing where I can get better is important.
00:35At a time like this, I'm not really on social media as much.
00:40I try to stay off it as much as I can.
00:43But you see it, and ESPN might be on in my house, and there it is.
00:47It is what it is.
00:49But I think just seeing where I can be better is the most important thing.
00:52And having that reflection with myself, I talk a lot, obviously,
00:55with my trainer, Drew, and Coach Carlisle, and all those guys.
00:59And it's a constant conversation of seeing where I can get better.
01:03There was adjustments that had to be made coming into today for me,
01:06and I thought I did a better job at that.
01:08Listen, here's the deal.
01:09I think he's right that there's a lot of people that bloviate,
01:14and we do too.
01:16But the difference is, fair enough, I'll stand by it.
01:18I play basketball every day of my life.
01:20And I know this, that when you have 11 dimes,
01:25that means you created 11 opportunities that went in the hole.
01:30Your dimes led to buckets.
01:32Your rebounds lead to buckets.
01:35Transition the other way.
01:37Your buckets are, you know, enough in themselves
01:41that people talk he needs to score more.
01:44Why?
01:44If the guy has 22 and 11 double-double,
01:47and he created that many buckets and all those rebounds,
01:50like I've always said to you, if you're not scoring, crash the glass.
01:55If you're not rebounding, set screens.
01:58If you're not setting screens, dive for loose balls.
02:02Do something.
02:02Dive into the crowd.
02:04Block a shot.
02:05How about, if that's not working, foul somebody and smash their face.
02:09I've been in that game, too.
02:11You're not doing anything.
02:12All right, watch this.
02:14I'll smash someone's face in, see how they like that when they drive to the hole.
02:17And they're, you know, laying in and dunking and everything.
02:20I'm not having it.
02:22Like, I played against a kid the other night, so good, make your head spin.
02:25And I told this story on the air the other day.
02:27I hammered him twice.
02:28And when he left, after he scored 90 points, he said,
02:31at least you fouled me, old man.
02:33No one else could touch me.
02:35And he goes, I'll see you, old man.
02:37He always calls me old man.
02:38And because I am an old man, but I still play.
02:40So I don't want to hear how, I don't know what I'm talking about when I play every day
02:43of my life.
02:44And I play against great guys that play in the NBA and D1 basketball.
02:48It's real simple.
02:48If you make passes that lead to buckets, you're contributing.
02:52He doesn't, he doesn't score enough.
02:54He doesn't pass.
02:55Shut up.
02:57Shut up.
02:58And I will agree with him.
02:59Most of the people that do this are fat asses and they don't do anything.
03:04All they do is eat and drink.
03:05They don't play.
03:06They don't do anything.
03:07They don't go to the gym.
03:08All they do is sleep, eat, drink, and talk.
03:12That's fact too.
03:14I know like 95% of the people I know don't do anything that do this for a living.
03:19They don't play ball.
03:20I play ball.
03:20Shut up.
03:21I play ball every day.
03:22And I'll never stop saying it either.
03:24I know what I'm talking about.
03:25I've been playing for 50 years plus.
03:28So I love the game.
03:30And I think, you know, if he has a game like that, all that I'm mad about is he didn't
03:33get you that rebound for the trip to get cash.
