Sir Keir Starmer said the UK has sanctioned Israeli ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich for “inciting appalling settler violence”. At PMQs, he said the move aims to uphold human rights and protect hopes for a two-state solution. He also restated support for a ceasefire, hostage release and more humanitarian aid for Gaza. 00:00Mr Speaker, acting alongside our allies, we have sanctioned individuals responsible for
00:04inciting appalling settler violence and expansion. We have done that to uphold human rights and
00:09defend the prospect of a two-state solution. We will continue to support all efforts to
00:15secure a ceasefire, the release of all hostages despicably held by Hamas, and the humanitarian
00:22aid that needs to surge in. Mr Speaker, this morning I had meetings with ministerial colleagues
00:26and others. In addition to my duties in this House, I shall have further such meetings later
00:31today.
