00:00These two individuals, Ben Gavir and Smotryk, have been inciting violence against Palestinian people for months and months and months.
00:12They have been encouraging egregious abuses of human rights.
00:19We have been raising this with the Israeli government, both privately and publicly.
00:24We were raising it before we came to government and indeed the last government raised it as an issue.
00:32And alongside our partners, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Norway, today we are announcing sanctions against those individuals because we have been absolutely clear.
00:47This has to stop and we stand for a two-state solution and the settler violence that we've seen in the West Bank particularly is entirely unacceptable and must stop.
01:01Today we are making a decision also to stand against those who encourage abuses of human rights, also to stand against those who encourage violence against Palestinian people.
01:13There have, just in the last year, been 1,900 attacks against Palestinian people.
01:20We have condemned this. We have made clear that we are opposed to it.
01:24We are acting with allies. When we say something, we mean it.
