00:04These were some of the penalties announced against two far-right Israeli ministers

00:08by the UK government Tuesday.

00:11Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, and the UK

00:14released a joint statement about the restrictions,

00:17which were imposed for inciting violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.

00:21These two individuals, Ben Gavir and Smoderik,

00:25have been inciting violence against Palestinian people

00:30for months and months and months.

00:34The text also reiterated the group's unwavering support

00:37for Israel's security and condemnation of the October 7 Hamas terror attacks.

00:43Rejecting the measures, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gavir

00:47compared the restrictions to the White Paper of 1939,

00:50limiting Jewish immigration to the then-British-controlled Mandate of Palestine.

00:55These sanctions don't frighten me. Boo to the White Paper.

00:59I will continue to work for our nation,

01:01and I will continue to work and ensure that humanitarian aid will not enter for Hamas.

01:07The announcement comes after the country's traded diplomatic barbs in May,

01:10with Israel blaming Western condemnation of its military offensive in Gaza

01:14for rising anti-Semitic acts,

01:16including the murder of two Israeli embassy employees in Washington, D.C.
