00:05:52Big Papa Pump.

00:05:53Let's not forget also that Diamond Dallas Page, Tony, made reference to the men

00:05:56that Scott Steiner has taken out of the sport.

00:06:00Diamond Dallas Page said he talked to one today, and that person may be here tonight

00:06:06to get a piece of Scott Steiner's hide.

00:06:09The list is very long of the people that Scott Steiner has taken out of WCW.

00:06:13Also here tonight, the cat said that he would have a major announcement tonight.

00:06:18And we'll have to wait and see what that major announcement here.

00:06:21But coming up, the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship Tournament.

00:06:24And it all begins tonight, Scott.

00:06:26Eight teams involved to crown the inaugural Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions.

00:06:31The Filthy Animals, the brand new team of Johnny Swinger and Jason Lee.

00:06:35The reformed three count will be here.

00:06:38Jamie Noble, his partner, a new man to WCW, and Scotty O.

00:06:42We're gonna see that first match coming up next here on Nitro on the other bracket.

00:06:46Elix Skipper and a surprise partner.

00:06:48Who's it gonna be teaming with Primetime?

00:06:50Air Paris and AJ Styles.

00:06:52The Young Dragons.

00:06:53Cuiwi and Mike Sanders.

00:06:55Talk about an odd pairing.

00:06:57We're gonna crown new Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions in this tournament.

00:07:01The tournament, of course, will conclude on the 18th of March at WCW Greed

00:07:05when we are in Jacksonville, Florida, for our next pay-per-view telecast.

00:07:09And don't forget, Dustin Rhodes tonight will face Jeff Jarrett

00:07:12after what went down last week on this program.

00:07:15And Ric Flair, the boss, is gonna be the special referee.

00:07:18He's assigned himself a special referee for this match.

00:07:20The Nature Boss will stoop to every low possible to control things

00:07:24in World Championship Wrestling in light of the new ownership of the company.

00:07:28I don't think that that's gonna be a fair fight no matter how you slice it.

00:07:32The brackets you just talked about, Scott Hudson, were put together by the Cat as we know.

00:07:36And yes, the Cat does have a major announcement.

00:07:39He says one that will affect the structure from WCW from top to bottom.

00:07:45And that's coming up later on here tonight on Monday Nitro.

00:07:48But coming up right now, it's the Cruiserweight Tag Team Tournament.

00:07:51In our very first matchup, Johnny Swinger and Jason Lee.

00:07:55Johnny Swinger making his return to World Championship Wrestling.

00:07:58Our very first look at Jason Lee, the 24-year-old native of Louisville, Kentucky.

00:08:03Of course, it's on the independent circuit.

00:08:06They're gonna make a go of it here in the Cruiserweight Tag Tournament.

00:08:09But they've got a tall order in the filthy animal.

00:08:12Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio Jr.

00:08:14One would say, really, that you would have to figure that Mysterio and Kidman,

00:08:19both former Cruiserweight champs in the singles division,

00:08:22would be the odds-on favorite in this tournament.

00:08:26And what an opportunity for, as you said, young Jason Lee from Louisville and

00:08:29Atlanta's Johnny Swinger at 25 years of age.

00:08:32Johnny returns to WCW.

00:08:34He left here in October of 1999.

00:08:38He was kind of a renegade, did not want to conform to WCW back then.

00:08:43But now Chance in this, the first match of the tournament,

00:08:46to move on to become Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions.

00:08:50Referee Mark Johnson trying to maintain some order.

00:08:52All four men in the ring going, they're jumpstarting it.

00:08:54That's how important this Cruiserweight Tag Team title is destined to be.

00:08:59And Lee and Swinger showing some teamwork here.

00:09:01That time Kidman moved out of the way, and then drop kicks Johnny Swinger off the apron of the ring.

00:09:09And Jason Lee dunks nicely done by Jason Lee.

00:09:13Set out Urinagi.

00:09:14One, two, and a two count that time, and almost got the win.

00:09:18This is the very first time Jason Lee and Johnny Swinger have ever teamed together.

00:09:23But they had this opportunity to come into WCW and

00:09:26buy for the Cruiserweight title to be on Monday Night Drunk.

00:09:29Like Jason told me, are you kidding me?

00:09:31I'll team with anybody to get this shot, and look at that double team by Kidman and Ray Jr.

00:09:36You mentioned earlier on that Ray Mysterio Jr. and Billy Kidman,

00:09:40former Cruiserweight title holders in the singles division,

00:09:43they were also World Tag Team Champions of WCW.

00:09:47They have to be the odds on favorites going in.

00:09:49Furious base in the opening moments of this.

00:09:52The first match, it'll end up at WCW agreed in less than three weeks now.

00:09:58As we come to you from Jacksonville, Florida, where we'll crown you.

00:10:01First time ever, Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions, Ray holds on.

00:10:05We've seen them many times, so is Johnny Swinger.

00:10:08And Johnny Swinger took him down with Hilarion on the outside.

00:10:11Lee and Swinger are ready.

00:10:13They are taking the match to Mysterio and Kevin.

00:10:16We just saw a huge momentum shift there, and now a double team on Ray Jr.

00:10:20How do you scout opponents you've never seen together?

00:10:23Now, we have seen Johnny Swinger, but Jason Lee, as you talked about,

00:10:27virtually an unknown here.

00:10:28You know the butterflies have to be rumbling in the guts of both of the young men here.

00:10:33Johnny Swinger sends Ray in first, and look at this, Russian leg tweak, put him down hard.

00:10:39Lee and Swinger with reckless abandon out there, they have nothing to lose.

00:10:43They are not a team, they're put together for this tournament.

00:10:47They decided to enter together to get to the top of the Cruiserweight Tag Team Division.

00:10:52They have nothing to lose, Tony.

00:10:53As I said, they're going all out against The Animal.

00:10:56Johnny Swinger committed that with a back elbow.

00:10:58That was a good move.

00:10:59And now, a swinging sit-out, neck breaker.

00:11:02One, two, and a good save.

00:11:04Kidman saw that was a good move.

00:11:06And Kidman came in with a save in the back of the head.

00:11:11What a sit-out by Johnny Swinger.

00:11:13Shoots Ray Jr. into the corner.

00:11:15Ray Mysterio Jr., one of the most resilient champions in the history of WCW.

00:11:20I don't think there's any question about that.

00:11:22You have seen him take on men twice, three times his weight, his size.

00:11:27But he always battles back, gives it everything, cross body, both men collide.

00:11:32That was a furious impact between cruiserweights above the ring canvas.

00:11:38Both men had the wind knocked out.

00:11:40Both men wants to make the tag, the tag to lead the tag to Kidman.

00:11:43Here comes Jason Lee, and Kidman is in to meet him, and Kidman picks him up.

00:11:46Drops him down hard, and then kicked up by Billy Kidman, but Johnny Swinger with a back body drop.

00:11:51Kidman is just so fast, so quick, so tenacious.

00:11:56Head scissor takeover, and now back in the corner, and a warning by Mark Johnson,

00:12:02And Jason meets the forearm of Ray Jr.

00:12:13The Bronco Buster in the corner from Ray Mysterio Jr., but look at Swinger from behind.

00:12:20Rayleigh Kidman hit the jawbreaker on Ray Jr.

00:12:24Swinger with a blind miss that time, Ray dropping down.

00:12:29You see Kidman favoring, apparently, the knee.

00:12:38Earlier on, Kidman and Ray may have been just a little too overconfident,

00:12:43but right now they know they are in a fight.

00:12:46They're gonna take the match to the youngsters.

00:12:49To Lee and Swinger and Kidman's high atop the ropes.

00:12:57He hit the shooting star from mid-ring, from the very top rope to the floor.

00:13:51Kidman and Ray Mysterio Jr. will move on in the Cruiserweight Tag Team Tournament.

00:14:05And don't sell Johnny Swinger and Jason Lee short, they put up a heck of a fight.

00:14:10But in the tournament, the veterans, the experienced actor, plays a role here.

00:25:26In fact, the Canadians, along with totally fucked, sent Chronic to the hospital,

00:25:31caught it off in a meat wagon at the start of the show.

00:25:33O'Hare and Palumbo getting revenge for their mates in Chronic.

00:25:38Well, Conan said a few moments ago, and there's the leapfrog double team, that people,

00:25:43men would have to start stepping up to the plate.

00:25:46Here's a cover one, two, and a two count, and you're seeing what the two young

00:25:50champions are doing.
