00:00:00hello and welcome welcome to the asylum now at the moment I'm not in Blender I'm inside of a
00:00:08piece of software from Microsoft if you go down to your search bar type in 3d viewer I'm looking
00:00:14for a new creature for the level so I'll go here go library this is great if you've got kids there's
00:00:19some great items in here and I'm going to go to fantasy that's where I'm going to go there's a
00:00:23great-looking T-Rex in here and a megalodon shark if you go to fantasy there's a big massive wolf
00:00:30thing over here he's called a cyber wolf click on that and I'm thinking yeah does he look like
00:00:38Manson's crew and no we don't but I'm going to see if I can use it inside of Red Mandela and he's
00:00:45going to be part of the asylum he's going to be like a my hybrid wolf that was made by the asylum
00:00:52even though it wasn't it was made by Microsoft there somebody at Microsoft but I'm going to
00:00:57pretend in Red Mandela he's the maintenance group now the idea of that let me just go here I'll save
00:01:04it so we go here we save it as we can save it in the 3d downloads I'm going to save it in downloads so
00:01:10say yes save it it's as easy as that to get to get the objects so if you go here obviously inside the
00:01:16library inside here you've got like big sharks and I want a couple of fish and so forth I want a couple
00:01:23of dolphins things like that and I want to bring them into the game world and yeah I want to anyway
00:01:30there's a few items in here that I want and this little pond thing is great but then anyway we're
00:01:35going to pop over to Microsoft and we're going to mess around so if we look down here if while I'm
00:01:42actually going here it's not in this section and there's one more thing in here this one here I want
00:01:49the crocodile I know it's not really a crocodile but yeah probably an alligator I didn't read it so
00:01:55there is there look said make it snappy okay anyway we want them we want the alligator so so go here
00:02:04save that so we want we want the wolf and we want the alligator we also want the grim reaper in a minute
00:02:11not yet so what I'm going to do I'm going to I'm going to fire up blender and we're going to see
00:02:16what they look like in level okay we're just going to flick over to blender so we're going to go from
00:02:24windows to blender itself as you know outside here is Emma Emma's here somewhere around where she is
00:02:31she seems to have disappeared so where's Emma okay so Emma's on top of the actual building
00:02:40I don't know what she's doing up there in the last video we left her down here
00:02:44okay so let's bring Emma back to the bottom as I don't know why she's up there I really don't so
00:02:51regardless of that we'll bring her over here and we'll stick her right on the platform and so this
00:02:59is Emma she's 81 and this is your game world your game character I think how great is that of course
00:03:07to hold back you let's put her back to the door so we'll we'll just leave her there for a moment so
00:03:12I think okay so this is Emma now we want to go to the import go to glyph these are Microsoft assets
00:03:20just to let you know that now first of all we want to bring in the alligator so where is he he's up
00:03:29there so bring him down to the bottom as I said he's really really kind of tiny I think yeah yeah
00:03:36he don't look too scary I mean yes you don't look too scary at the moment so I think you can zoom
00:03:42into him when he starts running around level yeah he's going to be a whole different matter so of course
00:03:48I want to scale him up a little bit go here scale him up make him a little bit of a daddy yeah that
00:03:57looks a bit more kind of like it I think he ever want to play with that I think yeah anyway that's
00:04:03the thing that actually belongs in the water and of course when he's actually in the water it's gonna go
00:04:09yeah transform yeah I want to take on the alligator go here says origin geometry of course he will be
00:04:18over here in the water now he can't get out the water because he's actually down here somewhere so
00:04:24yeah he can't jump up that far he can't do it so Emma's kind of safe so for now we want to stick in
00:04:33there so we're gonna send Emma's call and you see the alligator and oh what do I do now of course you can't do
00:04:43nothing with me because obviously it's an alligator so she don't want to touch it so I'm thinking okay we need that
00:04:49maintenance crew so let's bring in the big massive bad wolf I like this wolf I think he's great but um
00:04:57look at the size of him he's massive yeah yeah as I said I want to make like a different maintenance
00:05:06crew so when you're kind of in the level hopefully he works off okay with that as you can see he's pretty
00:05:11big he just about squeezes through the door frame I think he oh my word the man isn't the creature is
00:05:19massive so yeah anyway this is the maintenance crew and the idea of the maintenance crew down here
00:05:24is because the different maintenance crews so what I might do actually with the maintenance crew
00:05:30because he's such a big character I can scale him down a little bit so he's not so big but um yeah I
00:05:35don't want to make him too small so let's have let's scale him down a fraction because I'd say he's okay
00:05:41but he's a bit too big for the door frame I could just widen the door frame that's what I can do
00:05:46or I can scale him down a little fraction so he's not corner so big so I think okay let's let me scale him
00:05:54to about there and I want to go around like all the transforms okay so he comes because he's
00:06:00maintenance crew and obviously what he would do is go down grab him by the tail and of course he'd drag him
00:06:05back out and throw him back in the water so that's what he would do now of course Emma has Emma herself
00:06:11she hasn't met the maintenance crew yet so I'm thinking okay so at the moment Emma's inside the room
00:06:18and then of course now if of course the alligator's in the room Emma herself wouldn't hide inside of the
00:06:27actual box because the alligator can go in there and get her so I think okay Emma you need to go upstairs
00:06:33so if she goes upstairs hopefully the alligator can't quite get up the staircase which luckily for her
00:06:42yeah yeah the alligator he well he can climb so he can go upstairs he can go upstairs but um yeah
00:06:50she's kind of safe because obviously because you've got the big you know the maintenance crew here and
00:06:56there's usually always a maintenance crew around somewhere so as I say because she's going to be
00:07:02like part of the asylum with Microsoft so okay with that then of course I'll leave them in here
00:07:07I said I could have a standard maintenance crew like you know like main women whatever I think
00:07:13yeah but I want something different so I think it'll be when your character comes here and yeah
00:07:18anyway because it's an asylum I want to assume I'm going to be tempted in my game world that the
00:07:25asylum does all sorts of crazy experiments and creates all sorts of hybrids so yeah there's a kind of
00:07:32weird kind of looking creature down here well there mythical ones fantasy ones it's up to you whatever
00:07:39so anyway yeah there's all sorts of things there's fish crocodiles and there's a megalodon sharks
00:07:46a couple of piranha in there but the piranha are vegetarian so you're going to be kind of okay
00:07:53so if you need to swim across the water yeah if it's piranha you're probably okay if it's anything else
00:08:00I wouldn't recommend it so I think yeah maybe I need to make a boat stick it in the water like some
00:08:06kind of boat so you can kind of get into it obviously we want to kind of we don't want it too
00:08:11big but we don't want it too small or my delegator will be able to jump inside the boat I think yeah
00:08:16we don't want that anyway so yeah anyway I'm not really here to talk about the box of assets
00:08:21okay so let's go back to the level we're going to be doing a bit more editing on the level go back to here so as I said we've got to create the sleeping horses for the creature you look at the size of him he's pretty big so I'm going to say this creature
00:08:39so I'm going to say this creature and the room is going to be at least four squares probably because I'm saying because of the size of him he's going to be pretty big because his bed is going to be pretty big so I'm thinking if I take the first four squares here that could be one room then we've got four squares here that's two rooms then we've got four squares here
00:08:57we've got four squares here that's two rooms then we've got four squares here three rooms yeah we could have three rooms here ideally if we wanted to do that I think okay so let's just kind of do that so I'm thinking okay first we need to subdivide the room so I'm thinking okay
00:09:27how wide do you want the room well if you go and look at the character he's kind of almost a complete square I think yeah so when he's standing in the room he's yeah you're going to take up the whole entire square so about four squares probably that will give him yeah maybe two squares of walking space I think yeah because he's a big character he's massive so um as I say we want to kind of and we want to make sure that he can kind of fit in the bed
00:09:54so I think he's in the corner of the room on the blanket because don't forget he's not really human
00:10:01he's kind of like a half dog kind of thing so he might sleep in a bit he might sleep in the bed then again
00:10:09he might sleep on the floor it all depends go here put a line in here go top you
00:10:15and then we're going to drag this over here and then we can put it in something else
00:10:22so you want to go to edit mode make sure you're in edit make sure you're on top mode like this
00:10:28zoom in we want to grab the line drag it up
00:10:35and leave it about two squares so the door frames are a little bit thicker
00:10:39and I don't forget we want we're doing four squares so what we want to do we take
00:10:46this put it there go to move move it over two squares we can do the same this side we
00:10:59don't really need to decide but we can do it if you want to so I'll say we can use the
00:11:05back wall as if it's a wall but uh yeah so let's just leave that there let's put this one here
00:11:10I'll say I'm going to make it I'll find out if it's going to work or not so kind of just do
00:11:17that because we need to add two rooms kind of split up so let me just have a look make sure
00:11:26you're walking just keeping about four squares white you got three rooms down here so there's going to
00:11:31be three of those creatures running around ideally so anyway yeah now I want to tell you in the game
00:11:40world even though he's a maintenance group he's a he's not a big bad mean creature well of course
00:11:48Emma doesn't know that yet she hasn't met him but yeah yeah of course if you see that walking around
00:11:53the level you're automatically going to assume you need a weapon because you need to fight it
00:11:58yeah you don't have to fight it but these ones on the floor and the things in the water yeah you
00:12:03have to watch them and you also have to watch the actual um octopus because the air the octopus is
00:12:10not friendly it's really not so anyway most things in the water I'm going to tell you they're not
00:12:15actually friendly some of the things on land yeah they are kind of friendly in a certain way and
00:12:21depends how you are if you're mean and nasty then the creature is going to be mean and nasty so yeah
00:12:26and of course you don't want to end up in a kind of fight with that because yeah look inside his hands
00:12:32and the claws I'm I think yeah you wouldn't stand a chance I think yeah anyway and not only that he's
00:12:39really really fast so it don't matter how fast you run he's still going to catch you but um that's why
00:12:45Emma's got like a little tiny electric car again from microsoft because she fits inside it great
00:12:51and it's going to be great it's a little it really is but um anyway it's just a way for Emma to get
00:12:57around the level faster okay anyway let's not talk about that let's talk about the actual building
00:13:03so we want to go to the actual phases we want to zoom in we can click the phases to get rid of that go
00:13:14over here press that hold your hierarchy on keyboard and select all of this make sure you select all of it
00:13:23select the actual wall itself because this is going to be like the separate part of the wall now once you're done
00:13:34that go to edges you need to select the edges of the wall
00:13:45because now we're going to come we're going to basically confine the space for our character
00:13:53I can leave that one and actually I can leave that one I can just join us separate okay so we need to
00:14:06make them obviously we need to make the outer shell of the actual room otherwise it's not going to look
00:14:12too great so go here exclude make sure your staffing is turned on snap this all the way up to the balcony
00:14:20to the actual step we're going to be we need to make a hiding axe we need to go to that level
00:14:27so we need to have a look so it's about another two more squares above that
00:14:33so go here and snap it up two squares and go one two just that way it's all perfectly straight
00:14:41so we're going to look like this now look so it looks like this and of course i missed the floor
00:14:46of course i missed it and it doesn't really matter but um you see this part here so all afternoon you go
00:14:53here click that delete that part because we don't money click this part because we don't want that
00:15:00delete that click the floor part because we don't need that go back to here
00:15:07we don't need to fill the top of the wall because we can't see but um okay so now what we can do here
00:15:24as you can see the room now is is all contained with inside a single space something great so you come in
00:15:32the room obviously inside here we need to put some doors on it so we need to move that door put one
00:15:38door here one door here one door here one door here so our character can get inside the room or maybe
00:15:45we just basically cut a hole in it so that way there's no door on the room we just walk to them in
00:15:50yeah you can do what i think in here yeah even though it's an animal a creature yeah we will give
00:15:57him a door so he's got a bit of privacy inside the room anyway anyway we will do that and not only that
00:16:05whenever comes in here she's not going to be able to see who and what is behind the door which is going
00:16:10to be kind of great for my character so again we need to be able to cut the room we need to make sure that all
00:16:16the doors are the same size so we need to put this ideally inside here as you can see it's not wrapping
00:16:23around it which is going to cause me a problem see like this um yeah as i said i need to i need to
00:16:35i've got to join up inside there so i've got to make sure that it's no quieter than that so put this line
00:16:42here even though it's kind of yeah kind of messed up but yeah just we'll ignore that we pretend it's
00:16:50perfect and then we will kind of judge we'll kind of judge it and make it out we go move it up until
00:16:57you reach that line so that's our new doorway for the actual rooms that way we know the character
00:17:05could fit through the door frame go back to here come out of wire frame because if you stay in wire
00:17:11frame and you put the line in here it's it's gonna if you're in wire frame you'll put it on the outside
00:17:17not the inside so just do that kind of turn it around look at it go to move move this up to the line
00:17:28go back to the room i know it's kind of a bit of a weird way of kind of building a door frame but yeah
00:17:35it's the only way i can do it so
00:17:40take it back into wire frame
00:17:44again just grab this just snap it and you're snapped to the exact way we spoke to go
00:17:52come back out as i said it don't take long to do it just just so you know that so go back here put this
00:17:57one in here as well i'm trying to make it as easy and as simple as i can for you so you can kind of follow the content
00:18:04just in case you make it yourself so just just snap it
00:18:10okay so now we're kind of built the bear kind of frame kind of chassis for it
00:18:16okay what we want to do is bring in the door frames and then we want to put one here one here one over
00:18:21there and so forth but um as i said when we bring the door frame in we've got to kind of add a little
00:18:27bit more geometry to the floor because yeah yeah when the door frame comes in it don't quite match
00:18:35the actual framework well these three doors are going to be um i want to kind of slightly
00:18:41customize them so i don't have to add the extra floor geometry so i can go here select the two faces
00:18:49delete it select two faces delete it select two faces and delete it and then i'll call select two
00:18:57faces and delete those do the same here select two faces delete it select two faces and delete it okay so
00:19:06now we've got big openings inside the door and you can see our room is getting pretty pretty big pretty
00:19:12quick as i said this is the maintenance for the maintenance yeah yeah creatures so as i said it does
00:19:21and does a different type of creature so of course what we want to do is bring in the door frame so
00:19:27as you know we've made a door frame down here like that here's what we made earlier let's let's suppose
00:19:33we do that something okay what we want to do is come down here we didn't make it earlier on in the video
00:19:39so i do show you how to make the door frame okay so go here as a blender's already made a door frame so
00:19:45you can just use it go here copy that go to here and paste it hide this one because otherwise you're
00:19:55going to get confused on which door is which click on the on the no on the empty as you may find the
00:20:03door frame wherever it is i can't in the scene go to objects okay it's up there bring it down here
00:20:13okay kind of turn it to the side view
00:20:20let me just undo that for a moment because that should be exactly where the door is go here set up
00:20:27so where's the door okay the door's down here and the geometry's up there i think that's great
00:20:40just just move it over to where it is go here i said you sure had to move you had to move that
00:20:45to the geometry but it's not doing that so i think okay open open the door
00:20:53before we start modifying it make sure the door opens inwards
00:21:02just have a look at your door
00:21:06note this door actually opens inwards okay so we're going to leave it all that
00:21:11just a little bit so we're going to leave it all that temporarily and now i'm going to just split
00:21:16and separate the door go here go to parent clear the parent click the door clear the door
00:21:27click the door frame click that clear it
00:21:34get the empty and delete it we don't need empty or we can put it back ourselves
00:21:39and go here add an empty and we can also add it back if we want to okay now what we need to do we've
00:21:44got three different doors so we need to copy the pages three different times so we've got one here
00:21:50one here and one here and then we can attach it all to the door frame so what i'm going to tell you to
00:21:55do is you see how this column not lined up with the actual framework i think yeah how great is that
00:22:03yeah we're going to go top view into wireframe
00:22:06we want the thing over here so i want to click on it i'm going to go here snap already into that
00:22:14i'm going to set set set set into cursor thinking where is it okay so the cursor's over there
00:22:25i want it over here so click click this set snap the cursor to that
00:22:31and then we can go here so we're going to snap that to that which we're going to do the same for
00:22:37this so let's right click snap the cursor to that go here set obviously cursor to geometry
00:22:45yeah so it's over there somewhere so first of all click on all this go here apply all transforms
00:22:51then click this we're going to go here okay just right click on it go snap so yeah when you go here
00:23:01and say go to cursor you should go here it's not going there because it's messing around
00:23:08okay select all that now we can try and set it set set it back to here so if you are there look
00:23:15that's hit it up to there but the actual thing itself is somewhere else it's over there somewhere

00:25:34and now i'm going to select the hole like this go here apply more transforms so everything remains
00:25:42where it is so you've got room one two and three actually let me just make sure all that stays
00:25:49where it is okay what i'm going to do here i'm going to export that back out that's got a lot of
00:25:56number two just so i've got the complete set completely separate okay i want the door frame
00:26:03i want the door frame i want the door frame i want the door frame i want to go here and combine it
00:26:11so that's the door frame now we want the building so we want this building here so this door frame
00:26:19and we want to hold control what's on the keyboard click that go here and go don't johnny go to john
00:26:25don't parent it so when we edit in building we can edit the door frame with it we don't need we don't
00:26:34need to worry about doors nothing like that because it's all part of the same thing so as i said just
00:26:41leave those as they are so we can avoid that one temporarily avoid that not with that with that
00:26:46make sure everything is separate before you start doing anything else so check your doors and where
00:26:57that door one i think i think the door's there well i need to check it so
00:27:04then we go to standard mode check this one i think okay that's the door handle
00:27:09so we get rid of this because it's not there so this is the door so we click on the door okay so this
00:27:24is the door but this is the handle for over there i think you agree so where's the rest of that door

00:29:44we need to hold control click that go here and join it
00:29:52so making sure it's part of the same thing which it is
00:29:55we'll look at it no it's still long let me not do that
00:30:04so come on sort out i think you'll click open the door frame
00:30:09and then all that should be in here is a door frame that's it
00:30:12should be nothing i'm sitting here
00:30:15so make sure to click that let me move that into there
00:30:19so click the door frame go to the building all control click that go here join it
00:30:31now it should be part of the same building so we want to save that
00:30:35go here edit
00:30:39now we can come down here we can hide the door handles and the doors and everything else we don't need none of that
00:30:45all we need is just a little frame at the moment so let's make a look let's just take a look make sure everything is normal
00:30:58just like that so like earlier on we want to be able to take this to the actual floor itself
00:31:05so just make sure it's actually on the floor
00:31:11as if we don't need dust the side of the door frame so we just turn around
00:31:16get rid of all the parts we don't actually need like these side parts
00:31:23as if we want to keep the geometry as about as low as we can get it
00:31:26go inside the brickwork right click and go delete
00:31:35then go to points
00:31:39i'm going to click here and i'm going to delete that
00:31:47i'm doing that that that so yeah go there there and there so yeah over here here and here
00:31:56from here here and here and then just join that bit then we'll take a look even though it's kind of
00:32:04set back a bit because it's not it's not exactly level with the actual door frame you see here it goes
00:32:12back don't worry about that we can kind of fix it in a moment so do those two as though we can even move
00:32:22the floor or we can move the wall it's up to us how we want to go by doing it but um as i don't really
00:32:29want to add an extra strip in here not really but i don't want to really widen the door frame too
00:32:34much not really like that but i can't have the door frame on that so i'm thinking okay i want to do it
00:32:40the simple way so i'm going to basically kind of click on the faces
00:32:46and i'm going to click these faces and these ones
00:32:56what i need to do is bring it forward
00:32:59so i need to go to top view i know really you shouldn't really do it this way but
00:33:04i'm just going to have a look and see how it looks
00:33:08i'm about to just get away with it
00:33:09just move this forward that's too much go back here move it manually
00:33:18make it level with the floor
00:33:24like that
00:33:28so it's the same door frame look it's just wider
00:33:32i think it
00:33:34it looks kind of a little bit distorted from here you can open this palm view
00:33:40stop thinking they'll be able to look at it
00:33:45yeah i can't have it like that
00:33:48undo that
00:33:49i think what i'm going to have to do here
00:33:53is i'm going to have to actually
00:34:00go back into my frame let's extrude this right to there
00:34:10so as i can't move the door frame because the door frame has to stay there
00:34:13you see i'm not that
00:34:14so all i have to do then if that's the case
00:34:17is i don't want the side of the door frame
00:34:19click the face and delete it
00:34:22click the side of the door frame because i don't want that
00:34:26click this door frame and delete that
00:34:28come this side click this side of the door frame
00:34:32i'm actually outside the wall
00:34:33click that delete that go back to the top
00:34:38and you see how it kind of sticks out it's kind of great but it's kind of not
00:34:42so these these ones here can't attach from there
00:34:48so we just have to reconnect it that's what we have to do
00:34:51and then we have to do this on both sides of the fence
00:34:53of the door frame so go here here and here
00:34:59not there not there go here here and here
00:35:14i say it's just such a thing we just don't except
00:35:17now we've moved the door frame we can now connect it to the floor
00:35:21it just saves us putting the strip in there later on that's what it does
00:35:26so we go here and we delete this
00:35:32and now we just connect all of this
00:35:37connect that bar
00:35:41connect the center bar
00:35:42take this bar press k on the keyboard and you can go from here to here
00:35:54it's the same as we've done the other door except i'm doing it a kind of a slightly different way
00:36:00so go here yeah yeah so the door frame is going to be obviously a bit wider
00:36:06bit chunkier but yeah that's because our creature is big and chunky
00:36:13but as i said we can join that in a moment so i'm not too bothered about that
00:36:18so obviously i might also extrude this first that's what i'm all to do
00:36:22so go back here click on the door frame
00:36:29what oh yeah i was just wondering what that was
00:36:35go back to top view back into my frame
00:36:37so we have we've got to do this for all three doors
00:36:40we could just make the one door and we can cut it back out and then just move it over
00:36:44because it will save us a little bit of time but um yeah as you can see yeah what the door frame is
00:36:56it'll be big but it doesn't really matter it'll still work as a door so it's still going to be kind of great
00:37:03and anyway it's maintenance area so it's not going to be able to do you don't have to be too fantastic
00:37:08because really if a creature that big was down here yeah yeah if it was a standard door you'll put it in a pretty
00:37:23so join that

00:44:16you see your shoulders are massive so um if the doors are open the doors are going to take up by
00:44:23these two little squares and there's only about four little squares there i'm thinking no it ain't

00:44:39so click the doors and just delete all the doors keep the handles because we can use the handles

00:44:56it's a pretty easy fix so we have to go on top of you go back into wireframe
00:45:08go to your door and then all you want to move is end parts so grab this part

00:45:23pretty much similar so well you don't have that because you make separate doors but to keep everything
00:45:30kind of similar you want to kind of make sure everything is the same so only go one two three and

00:49:23weapons in the game there's no weapons in this game but um yeah when you get like things like this and
00:49:28creatures like the big beast inside there yeah he's got a weapon he's got a claws for his fingers so yeah
00:49:37technically he's a walking weapon that's what he is but um anyway later on when emma kind of finds out
00:49:43eventually at some point he's kind of heart friendly at the moment they're not all in the same room so
00:49:48they don't know this yet so obviously he comes and obviously yeah anyway his job is to maintain the
00:49:53hallway and to make sure everything is working on the lights and so forth so he's he's pretty clever
00:50:00so yeah he does the cameras the lights the switches all that so yeah and obviously later on ever
00:50:06finds him yeah of course at first he gets a bit scared because he's you know yeah he's a bit of a
00:50:13monster a bit of a creature but uh anyway yeah anyway they kind of become a little bit kind of friendly
00:50:19later on so yeah anyway so we'll talk about that because obviously the first interaction with any animals
00:50:27in the game is a mouse the mouse already knows this character down here so that this character and the
00:50:34mouse are actually friends that's who they are but the mouse is friends later on with emma and then
00:50:39she meets this big creature so i think anyway this is this is all i'm doing so if you want to continue
00:50:45watching you can continue watching what i'm going to do is attach this tool frame as i said i'm going to
00:50:50expand it i'm going to stretch it out basically reconnecting as i said i've already scaled it so i don't have to

00:58:27something that i can actually add to the level that you might be interested in interacting with it
00:58:33inside the game world as i said i'm looking for all sorts of different type of content
00:58:39um i'll say i want to make a different type of game a kind of a unique kind of game it's kind of
00:58:43just different but um you know obviously i've got um as it has the as the character ages for the game
00:58:50world of course you're gonna get older you're gonna get more experience and she's gonna know a whole lot more
00:58:58so of course different things can happen because she knows more
00:59:03she can avoid certain she can avoid certain things because she knows certain things
00:59:09of course when she's young she don't know too much
00:59:11so of course we have to kind of put certain things in the game world that she can interact with
00:59:20what we have to do in a kind of sensible way and yeah that people will interact with the character
00:59:30i said you know i want to put you in a situation like like with the werewolf if you see the werewolf in
00:59:35low you automatically you're because you've been playing all super old games you're automatically
00:59:41going to think oh yeah how can i fight that you you don't have to fight it because it's going to be
00:59:48friendly but as i said i'm not saying it's going to be permanently friendly but you know as long as
00:59:53you're friends with it you're kind of safe as i said all the door frames are the same size so i ain't
01:00:00got to worry about the door frames so as i can take the character out if i want to yeah i can just select
01:00:07him
01:00:09and then i can just go back into my frame and i can just drag him over here
01:00:15i thought i could drag him over there yeah not in that case okay i think okay i can't do that
01:00:22come down here the wolf's in pieces so we have the whole dog wolf
01:00:26bring him into this door frame as you can see we can kind of match him to the door frames making

01:01:20to bring them into the game world because you know there's going to be all sort of items in this
01:01:24world so i think yeah and anyway yeah i think he makes pretty great maintenance man i really do so
01:01:32and not only that he's probably like the only person who can deal with something like that i think
01:01:38yeah because again obviously you you can't do and do nothing with that because if you do especially
01:01:42at this age it's gonna yeah it's gonna chomp you it's gonna it's gonna have you for lunch i think no
01:01:49yeah let's say let's send the big boy over yeah we'll grab by the tail and throw it back in the
01:01:53water but as i said there's only certain parts of the water where you can get out the water yeah
01:02:00you can't get out everywhere so if you're standing here even though he might be in the water watching

01:03:53and you put your character in there and you're running around yeah yeah it's gonna look totally
01:03:57different it will so uh as i said depending on how much time and effort you want to put into the world
01:04:03i said i want to just give you the basic shape of the world so you can cut the idea of it so then

01:04:15so yeah because obviously this is one model right at the moment i said we can't use the doors because
01:04:21the doors don't fit we still have the door handles the door handles are here so we need to make the

01:04:39separate it glue glue the square back together put it back in and put the door handle back on the
01:04:45square that's all we have to do but of course i don't just want a square door i won't want to put a
01:04:51window in it so yeah so when you walk in here the character can see you through the glass probably
01:04:58whatever anyway so yeah anyway we'll we'll have a go and see what actually goes on but uh anyway come

01:05:39the floor which i think is a little bit silly in the middle of the floor but it might look okay i don't know
01:05:45but um as i said i wonder i won't be able to get my character when she comes in she hides under the
01:05:51staircase but um she hides under the staircase and if the creature comes out you don't see it
01:05:56so i only put some black bags in there some some barrels something like that so you can
01:06:00hide between the barrels um yeah anyway i'm thinking when i put a roof on here
01:06:07um i'm gonna have to have like a balcony that goes across here like a ledge so my character can
01:06:14basically walk across the ledge if she wants to so she's kind of off the floor a little bit just
01:06:20in case she has to avoid the cockroach or the creepy creature don't forget she doesn't know yet that
01:06:25he's friendly so she's trying to avoid it so yeah that's what we have to do so i think yeah if i'm
01:06:33going to put a ledge on it i need to make sure that i attach a new little lip across here
01:06:39or let me see if i can make a lip across that okay you see you set a line now look at he's got a line
01:06:47from there so i'll put a line there i can't put a line there so i'm thinking um i'm just looking where
01:06:56i could actually put the line so as i'm going to put the line here um yeah i'm just looking at it
01:07:05because i'm thinking i need a dot right in that corner so i might have to do this part just a

01:07:29ledge maybe but um as i said it all depends on the staircase so i'll put the staircase over here
01:07:34somewhere i think you know i need to have a look at it and see if it kind of makes any sense so check

01:07:47as i said i don't need to work this part out because i need to work out where the staircase is
01:07:53doing so i'm thinking yeah the staircase might go there because that will give me a kind of a good
01:07:59excuse to put a piece of concrete here and yeah i think i think that just might work maybe let me

01:08:17because i think you know i want to keep it in the center of the two lines
01:08:24and then i think if i keep it in the center of two lines it's not quite on the concrete
01:08:32not that it really matters but um let me go to the top of you because i'm going to have a good look at it
01:08:38as i said i'm digging the concrete right there so i'm thinking ideally i'd want that right in the
01:08:44center of the concrete so it goes right there
01:08:50anyway come back in the next part of the video and we'll see what we're doing with it so yeah i'm

01:08:58going to do because i think you know i might put the struts underneath here yeah like in the first part of

01:09:08um as i said he does kind of block off the staircase so that way nothing can really get through the gap
01:09:13obviously em can fit through the gap because em is only low but that can't fit through the gap and
01:09:17that can't fit through the gap well actually that probably can because he's only really kind of skinny
01:09:23so yeah he won't be able to fit through the gap but um anyway come back in the next part if you're interested
01:09:29and what we're going to do we're going to be adding a ledge across here we'll add a ledge across here
01:09:36and then what we're going to do we're going to extract stretch this all the way to the top
01:09:40and then we're either then we're going to make some there some more rooms up here so on this part
01:09:47over maybe over here yeah i'm now just thinking about it i think if i stretch this i'll definitely
01:09:55put a ceiling on here so i'll be okay if i put a floor here and say put a ceiling here so it's like

01:10:07crates and things like that so yeah i'm just trying to work out where the cells are going to go so the
