00:00Understanding God's Progressive Revelation
00:11Part 2
00:12Have you ever wondered why God doesn't reveal everything all at once?
00:17Why does He often lead us step by step instead of giving the full picture from the start?
00:23What does that say about His nature and about our journey of faith?
00:28This powerful study dives into the mystery and beauty of God's Progressive Revelation.
00:34How He unfolds His truth through time, covenant and relationship.
00:40Is there a divine pattern behind what He reveals?
00:43And when are we truly ready for what He's preparing to show us?
00:48If you've been praying for clarity, direction or deeper understanding, this message is for you.
00:54God is speaking, but are we positioned to see what's next?
01:00Step by step, understanding God's Progressive Revelation.
01:06Want to know more?
01:08Hang around.
01:11Welcome, welcome to Lions Raw 3.8 Ministries.
01:15My name is George Magalhรฃes and we are an apostolic ministry with a prophetic teaching edge.
01:21It is our passion, our mission to reignite, equip and release Christ-like disciples both locally and globally.
01:29We do that through our itinerant ministry, but as well as providing with resources just like this one
01:34to help you, to guide you in your God-given calling.
01:38Today, we're going to continue on last week's topic, Step by Step.
01:43It's our study.
01:44We're going to be finishing part two of our study, bringing us to our main verse today.
01:50Our main verse comes from the book of chapter 1, Corinthians 13, verses 9 to 10.
02:00Or should I say 1 Corinthians, chapter 13, verses 9 to 10.
02:06So 1 Corinthians 13, 9 to 10.
02:09Reading from the Amplified Classic.
02:10For our knowledge is fragmentary, incomplete and imperfect.
02:16And our prophecy, our teaching is fragmentary, incomplete and imperfect.
02:21But when the complete and perfect total comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away,
02:28become antiquated, void and superseded.
02:33Amen.
02:34All right.
02:35Amen.
02:35Why doesn't God show us everything at once?
02:39Sometimes it's frustrating, isn't it?
02:41Well, the answer lies in a powerful biblical principle, progressive revelation.
02:47Now, I need to explain what progressive means because in today's world,
02:51things seem to be getting redefined all the time and not in a good way.
02:57So progressive does not mean what the world is saying right now.
02:59Progressive actually means gradual, increasing, incremental, step by step.
03:10So God reveals himself, his will, and his mysteries in stages, not to frustrate us, but to grow us.
03:19From the prophets to the disciples, we see a pattern.
03:23He speaks in part, and when we're ready to receive it, he gives more and more.
03:30This study dives deep into how and why God unveils his truth over time,
03:37what maturity and willingness have to do with it,
03:41and how to trust the seasons of revelation in our journey.
03:46So get ready to shift your perspective from impatience to intimacy
03:52and see God's love and wisdom unfold in new ways.
03:56The following are the titles and subtitles that we've already discussed,
04:01and then I'll give you this week's two, week two's topics as well.
04:06But the first titles and subtitles that we have already covered in part one of week one last week
04:13is number one, the principle of progressive revelation.
04:19A, we know in part.
04:21B, God spoke in many ways.
04:24C, more than we can bear.
04:27Number two, we covered maturity and willingness.
04:31And within that topic, we have the subtopics of
04:34Number three, trusting the seasons of revelation.
04:51A, a time for everything.
04:54B, God's ways are higher.
04:57C, the secret things belong to God.
05:00Okay, so that was last week.
05:02We covered all those.
05:05Topic and subtopic.
05:07Topics and subtopics.
05:08Did we cover four, Abraham's Progressive Promise?
05:10Yes, when I said last week, baby, that is for last week two.
05:14Yes, we did.
05:15All right, so last week, we also covered number four.
05:19So number four is Abraham's Progressive Promise.
05:24Within that, we have the subtopics A, Promising Part, and B, Lessons to Learn.
05:33This week, we're going to cover five.
05:37Summary.
05:38Six, what should we do with partial revelation?
05:42A, pursue relationship over answers.
05:46B, be faithful with what you already know.
05:50And C, trust the process.
05:52Yes, then we'll go on to number seven.
05:54Which is a summary of week one and week two.
05:58And we'll finish, as usual, with declarations as number eight.
06:02And prayer, yes.
06:04Give a quick summary of week one, part one.
06:07All right?
06:07We gave you last week, but I'll give it anyway, just in case there is new people that haven't listened to it.
06:12So in last week's week one, part one of our study, step by step,
06:16understanding God's progressive revelation, we revealed the divine wisdom behind God's progressive revelation.
06:24How he unfolds truth, step by step, according to our spiritual growth, maturity, and readiness.
06:32And we reflected on how we know in part and discovered that it is not a limitation, but rather a loving invitation to draw closer to God.
06:46From the prophets of old to the disciples of Christ, we saw that God has always revealed his will in stages, each part preparing us for what comes next.
06:59We were reminded that God, who spoke in many ways, ultimately revealed himself fully in Christ.
07:08Yet even then, we learn that such fullness can only be grasped through spiritual growth and obedience.
07:17The study emphasized that revelation requires maturity and willingness.
07:23It's not just about asking for answers, but about being prepared to receive them.
07:29Just as children begins with milk before solid food and mature in time, so must we grow in faith to handle deeper truth.
07:41And ultimately, we concluded that God leads us step by step, not to frustrate us, but to form and prepare us, building us in love, wisdom, and purpose,
07:52so we can be trusted with the next level of his glorious plan.
07:58So today, we'll go on to number two, part two, part two.
08:02Number six.
08:06What should we do with partial revelation?
08:10All right.
08:11So when God reveals only part of the picture, it's not to frustrate us, but to invite us into a deeper trust and relationship.
08:22So how should we respond when we don't have all the answers?
08:27A. Pursue relationship over answers.
08:32So basically, when we have partial revelation, we tend to be like running ahead of God, we tend to, you know, like jump into the solution, right, first before anything else.
08:45So how should we do it?
08:47How should we deal with it?
08:49We should, instead of chasing knowledge, just so that we can feel in control.
08:54Have you been in that position where you just, you got a word of prophecy, a word of knowledge being given to you, and then you're like, oh, there is this big meeting coming onto the other, another meeting coming, let me go there.
09:08Lord, tell me again, what are you saying?
09:09Lord, tell me again, what are you saying?
09:12And then you're like, but God is not talking, or things are not happening.
09:15In order for us to move into our new season and to break through, the way to do it is instead of chasing knowledge, just to feel in control, because that's a control in us, which wants that, you know, that ideology of let me find another answer.
09:33Let me find another thing first.
09:35We are called to seek instead and to focus on God.
09:40The deeper, the deeper our relationship with him, the clearer things come, becomes in time.
09:48Understand that the deeper our relationship with him, the clearer things become in time.
09:59Why?
10:00Because we learn to trust.
10:01We learn to take what he's given to us and run with it.
10:04Then God reveals truth that we need to know through this intimacy that we are with him, we have with him, not just information.
10:15So what we need to do is seek him above all else.
10:20That's number one.
10:21Let's get a Bible verse to confirm it.
10:24Matthew 6, verse 33.
10:276, verse 33.
10:29Amplified classic.
10:30But seek, aim at, and strive after, first of all, his kingdom and his righteousness, his way of doing and being right.
10:40And then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
10:45What do you know how the verse says will be given you?
10:50What?
10:51Besides.
10:52You know what that means?
10:52It means while you're seeking him, all that will start taking its place because he's planning for you.
10:57That's why he says, I have a plan and a future for you, one that is good, right?
11:03Next one.
11:05B. Be faithful with what you already know.
11:09Now, understanding grows as we walk closely with God, which means as we build that intimacy like we've just spoke about.
11:17So when we stay in his word, the word of God, obey him and remain in prayer, very important, he opens our hearts and mind accordingly to his good plan.
11:31Like I've just spoke about.
11:32Just like the disciple who walked with Jesus didn't fully grasp everything at first, yet they were walking with Jesus.
11:40Jesus told them, spoke about things to come and showed them how to live like him.
11:47Later, as we look in the book of Luke, Luke, their eyes were opened and everything he had told them suddenly made sense.
11:58So it didn't make sense at the start.
12:00This is how it is.
12:01Let's get a Bible verse to confirm that, right?
12:03Luke 24 verses 44 to 45.
12:07Luke 24, 44 to 45 in the Amplified Classic Version.
12:12Then he said to them, this is what I told you while I was still with you.
12:17Everything which is written concerning me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.
12:24Then he thoroughly opened up their minds to understand the scriptures.
12:29So it's very interesting what we just spoke about.
12:34So if you have time, please study this.
12:37Study this because this will bring you peace of mind to understand how God works, you know?
12:44C.
12:46C.
12:46Trust the process.
12:48Yeah, trust the process.
12:50It's probably one of the things.
12:51You know, the other two we spoke about, babe, it's like easy, all right?
12:55But the one that I find hard personally is this one.
13:01Trust the process, right?
13:03Like a farmer trusts the seasons, we are called to trust God's timing.
13:08And we spoke about that a week or two weeks or so before.
13:12Spiritual growth and revelation don't come all at once.
13:16They unfold slowly but surely.
13:19God never wastes the wait.
13:22Very important to understand that.
13:24God never wastes the wait.
13:29In the waiting, he prepares and strengthens us, shaping our character, sharpening our faith,
13:35and equipping us for the victory ahead.
13:39Every step in the process has purpose.
13:42Let's get a Bible verse to confirm it.
13:45James 5, verse 7.
13:46James 5, 7, Amplified Classic.
13:48So be patient, brethren, as you wait till the coming of the Lord.
13:54See how the farmer waits expectantly for the precious harvest from the land.
13:59See how he keeps up his patient vigil over it until it receives the early and late rains.
14:07Amen.
14:09Amen.
14:11Summary.
14:13Number 7.
14:14Summary.
14:15Summary.
14:16All right.
14:16So in today's part 2 of our study, I know it's a smaller version the last week.
14:21That's okay.
14:22Today's part 2 of our study, step-by-step understanding God's progressive revelation,
14:27we went deeper into the wisdom of God's progressive revelation, focusing on how we should respond
14:34when God only shows us part of the picture.
14:38We discovered that partial revelation is not a sign of lack, but a divine invitation into
14:45greater trust, relationship, and maturity.
14:48When answers aren't clear, God is calling us closer, not pushing us away.
14:54We were reminded of three powerful responses.
15:01Number 1.
15:01Pursue relationship over answers.
15:05Instead of striving for control through knowledge, we are called to seek first the kingdom and
15:11trust that clarity comes through intimacy.
15:15As we draw nearer to God, He reveals more in His perfect timing.
15:19Be faithful in what we already know.
15:22Like the disciples who didn't understand everything at first, we learn that obedience and faithfulness
15:28in what we do, know, unlocks deeper understanding later, just as Jesus opened their minds to the
15:37scripture.
15:38He does the same for us when we stay close.
15:42And trust the process.
15:44Just as a farmer waits patiently for the harvest, we must trust God's timing.
15:52His delays are not denials.
15:55They are divine preparations.
15:57He is shaping our character and readying us for what's ahead.
16:02Just like the faith-like potatoes, right?
16:04I don't know if any one of you watched that movie.
16:08If you have time, watch it.
16:09You bring hope, lots of understanding in what we've been speaking last week and this week.
16:15Next.
16:16We reflected on how, throughout scripture, from the prophets to Abraham to the disciples,
16:22God never revealed the full plan at once, but always step by step.
16:27Why?
16:28Because deeper revelation requires spiritual readiness, consistent growth, and a heart willing
16:34to obey.
16:35And ultimately, we concluded that trusting God in the in-between seasons is not weakness,
16:43but worship.
16:45Let me say that again.
16:46Trusting God in the in-between seasons is not weakness, but worship.
16:52Every step is filled with purpose.
16:55Every delay is a preparation.
16:58Every partial glimpse is an invitation to draw nearer.
17:02Now, God is forming us, stretching us, and calling us forth to grow in grace and knowledge
17:10so we can be interested with the next stage of His glorious plan.
17:16Amen?
17:18Amen.
17:19Okay, number eight.
17:20We will move on to declaration.
17:24Okay, so we're going to be doing prayer declarations.
17:27We're going to be doing prayer over you, declaring the living word of God over you.
17:31So just receive like a gift.
17:34And you can listen to this over and over again as many times as you need to get it into here
17:41or to get it into here and here.
17:44Amen?
17:45Amen.
17:45All right.
17:47Heavenly Father, we come before you with our hearts full of gratitude, acknowledging that
17:53you are the author and finisher of our faith.
17:56Hebrews 12, verse 2.
17:58We declare your word over our lives, believing that your word is alive, powerful, and sharper
18:04than any two-edged sword.
18:07Hebrews 4, 12.
18:08Today we speak life, truth, and promise into our spiritual journey.
18:14Psalm 119, verse 105.
18:18We declare that your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
18:24Proverbs 4, verse 18.
18:26We believe that you are revealing your truth to us step by step as we grow in spiritual maturity.
18:33James 4, verse 8.
18:35We thank you for helping us to seek you daily, trusting that as we draw nearer to you, you
18:41will draw nearer to us.
18:432 Corinthians 5, 7.
18:45We choose to walk by faith, not by sight, believing that even when we don't understand, you are
18:52working all things together for our good.
18:56Romans 12, verse 2.
18:58We surrender to your process, Lord, knowing that you are transforming us by the renewing
19:03of our minds.
19:042 Peter 3, 18.
19:06We declare that we are growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
19:11Christ.
19:12John 14, verse 26.
19:14We trust you to guide us with your spirit, teaching us all things and reminding us of
19:21everything Jesus has said.
19:23Hebrews 5, 14.
19:25We proclaim that we have outgrown spiritual infancy and are maturing believers.
19:32We constantly hunger for solid food and deeper truth.
19:372 Timothy 3, verse 16.
19:392 Timothy 3, verse 16.
19:39We open our hearts to your revelation, correction and instruction, trusting that you are shaping
19:46us into the image of Christ.
19:48John 15, 5.
19:49We declare that we remain in you.
19:51Therefore, we bear much fruit, fruits that last.
19:54Father, we thank you for speaking to us, guiding us and growing us in Christ Jesus and by the
20:01help of your Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
20:03We receive your truth in faith and we walk forward today with confidence, wisdom and trust in your
20:11perfect plan.
20:12In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray.
20:14Amen and amen.
20:16Glory to God.
20:17Hallelujah.
20:18Hallelujah.
20:19I know it's just a shorter one, but it's okay.
20:22I want to give a chance to those that are watching for the first time.
20:24If you are watching this from any of the channels on Facebook, Facebook Live or even later on
20:30on YouTube, this is not a coincidence.
20:34This is a divine appointment.
20:37The very living word of God tells us in 1 John 5, 4 to 5, for whatever is born of God
20:44overcomes the world and we all have issues in the world.
20:47And I'm not saying that once you give your life to Jesus, everything's going to be perfect.
20:51It isn't.
20:53But as you just heard, for whatever is born of God overcomes the world.
20:58And this is the victory that has overcome the world.
21:01Our faith.
21:03Everybody puts their faith in someone, in something, money, gurus, whatever, or themselves.
21:10But the reality is only when you put, the word of God goes on to say,
21:15who is he who overcomes the world?
21:17But he who believes that Jesus is the son of God.
21:22When you put your faith in Jesus Christ, make him your Lord and Savior, then you will overcome
21:28the world.
21:29Anything but that, anything but the truth will not get you the victory, the overcoming that
21:39you need.
21:40John 3, 16.
21:41Listen to this.
21:42John 3, 16 to 17 goes on to say, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten
21:48son.
21:48Talking about Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting
21:53life.
21:54The reality is every single one of us have sinned.
21:57That's right.
21:57And sin, in the most simplistic definition, is when we try to live our lives without God.
22:03We were created in his image.
22:04Yes.
22:05We were created for relationship with God and with each other.
22:09When we don't fit within that plan, what we do is we separate ourselves from God, from
22:16God's covering, from God's protection, from God's blessing.
22:20The word of God goes on to say, for God did not send his son into the world to condemn the
22:26world, but that the world through him might be saved.
22:30And that might is because you have one very important thing called free will.
22:36If you choose him, you will be saved.
22:38If you don't choose him, you've made your choice.
22:421 John 1, verse 9 tells us, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive
22:49us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
22:53All right, George, you got me.
22:54What do I do then?
22:56What do I need to do?
22:57Very simple.
22:57As you can see on the screen, Romans 10, verses 9 to 10 tells us very clearly that
23:03if you confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus, as you can hear my own voice right now, you
23:08confess, you just have to have, it has to come from your heart.
23:13It has to be intentional.
23:15So if you confess, you cry out to God and you say, Jesus, in your own words, whatever comes
23:20from your heart, because it's not a generic prayer.
23:23And you say to Jesus, I make you my Lord and Savior this day.
23:27Because as you can see on the screen, if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and
23:32believe in your heart and belief comes from a choice, believe in your heart that God has
23:38raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
23:42For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
23:48Right now, do that.
23:50You don't know how much time you have.
23:53Cry out to God right now.
23:55He will accept you just as you are, but he will not leave you as you are.
23:59He will help you.
23:59He will guide you.
24:00He will correct you.
24:01He will make you into more and more like Jesus every day.
24:04As you seek him, as you have a relationship with him, you will change in Christlikeness.
24:09But he doesn't come just like that.
24:12He doesn't come alone.
24:13He comes bearing gifts.
24:14Listen to this.
24:15In Titus 3 verse 5, Ephesians 2 verse 8, Acts 1 verse 8, amongst others, it goes on to say,
24:20Then he saved us by grace, through faith, grace is part faith ours, the gift of God, washing away our sins and giving us the new joy of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
24:34Wow.
24:34And you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere.
24:41What does that mean?
24:42That we call in the Christian circles, in the Christian movement, baptism of Holy Spirit and fire.
24:48So once you make Jesus your Lord and Savior, and you choose to believe that God raised him from the dead in your place, in our place, he went on that cross so that you did not have to pay for your sins.
25:01He paid for it.
25:03And now that you've put your faith in what he did, you are saved from that moment on.
25:09You belong to the kingdom family.
25:10You are restored back to the kingdom family.
25:13But now you need to invite Holy Spirit.
25:16The Holy Spirit is God himself in spirit.
25:18And that joy that we read before, the joy of the indwelling Holy Spirit, is he wants to come and live inside of you.
25:26You become the temple, the church, the indwelling place that he will live in.
25:30And he'll come bearing gifts, spiritual gifts.
25:34Gift of prophecy, gift of speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, gift of healings and miracle signs.
25:41All those things he comes bearing, because you will need them in the life that we are living.
25:46You will need his guidance, his protection, his teaching, his correction.
25:52You need all those things.
25:53So we're going to invite him to come, to baptize us with his presence, to come and fill us afresh.
26:00And if you've already been baptized in the Holy Spirit, the Bible shows us there was many incidents where the believers were re-baptized over and over again.
26:09As much as they needed, they called upon...
26:11Refreshing of the Spirit of God.
26:14Exactly.
26:15All right?
26:16All right.
26:16So let's do it.
26:17Let's pray together.
26:18Lord, I thank you for this privilege.
26:19I thank you for the privilege of praying for my brother and sister.
26:22Praying together, Lord, we thank you for their salvation.
26:25We thank you for all those that are watching, those that are listening.
26:28And right now, in Jesus' mighty name, we invite your Holy Spirit to baptize us from the top of our heads to the sole of our feet.
26:38Baptize us from head to toe, inside and out.
26:41Lord, create a fire, ignite a fire in us, a revival fire that cannot be quenched.
26:47For your word says that our God is a consuming fire.
26:51So Lord, set us a light that the world will watch us burn for you.
26:55Burn on fire, in passion, in Christ's likeness in every way, as the Christ ambassadors that you've created us to be.
27:03As the sons and daughters of the living God.
27:06As the kings and priests, as the light of the world and the salt of the earth.
27:10As the soldiers of the kingdom of God, as the heavenly missionaries, we say, yes, we want more, Lord.
27:16More of you, Lord.
27:17More of you, Lord.
27:19More of you, Lord.
27:21But we were bought at a price.
27:23And it's no longer us that lives, but Christ that lives in us.
27:26And the life we now live, we live by the faith of the Son of God.
27:30In Jesus' mighty name we pray.
27:34Amen.
27:34Amen and amen.
27:36Glory to God.
27:38Hallelujah.
27:39Congratulations.
27:41Please.
27:41Welcome.
27:42Get connected with a Bible teaching, Holy Spirit-filled church.
27:45It's important that you are connected with fellow believers.
27:50Okay.
27:51Yes.
27:52Thank you, Jesus.
27:52Hallelujah.
27:53We decree and declare 1 Corinthians 15, 57.
27:58We thank you, Lord, for giving us the victory as conquerors through our Lord Jesus, the anointed one.
28:05Matthew 6, verse 33.
28:07We will seek first your kingdom and your righteousness.
28:11All these things, all our needs will be provided.
28:16Galatians 5, verse 1.
28:17It was for freedom that Christ set us free.
28:21Therefore, we will keep standing firm and not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
28:26Galatians 5, verse 22.
28:29We will live in the Spirit and we will follow you, grow, produce everlasting fruit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
28:41Philippians 3, verse 14, 16.
28:44We will run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory prize through the anointing of Jesus.
28:52As we fully mature, may we all have this same passion.
28:57And if anyone is not yet gripped by these desires, God, reveal it to them.
29:01For we shall all advance together to reach this victory prize following one path with one passion.
29:10In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray.
29:12Amen.
29:13Amen and amen.
29:15God bless you all.
29:16Have a glorious week.
29:19We will see you next week.
29:21Shalom, shalom.
29:22Shalom.
