00:00Hi.
00:10Warring for Prophecy, the Davidic blueprint of endurance and victory.
00:16In a world overflowing with noise, how can we discern the true voice of God?
00:21Prophecy isn't just a promise, it's a divine invitation to partner with heaven.
00:27But how do we respond when the word comes and the wait begins?
00:32Just like David, anointed but not yet appointed, we too must learn to walk faithfully in the
00:38in-between where God refines us, tests us and prepares us.
00:44In this study, we'll uncover how to hear God's voice clearly, test prophetic words wisely
00:50and remain steadfast through the waiting, warring for your prophecy until it becomes your testimony.
00:58Are you ready to rise in faith and fulfill what God has spoken?
01:03Let's dive in.
01:04Warring for Prophecy, the Davidic blueprint of endurance and victory.
01:10Want to know more?
01:12Hang around.
01:13Welcome, welcome to Lion's Roar 3.8 Ministries.
01:19Amos 3.8 tells us, the lion has roared, who will not fear.
01:23The Lord God has spoken, who can but prophesy.
01:27My name is George Magalhães and we are an apostolic ministry with a prophetic teaching
01:32edge.
01:33It is our passion, our mission to reignite, equip and release Christ-like disciples both locally
01:40and globally.
01:41We do that through our itinerant ministry, but as well as providing with resources just
01:45like this one to help you, to aid you in your God-given calling.
01:50Today we've got an amazing topic leading us to our main verse today.
01:55And our main verse comes from the book of 1 Timothy 1, verse 18.
02:02So 1 Timothy 1, verse 18, and we're reading from the Amplified Classic version, as you can
02:07see on the screen, discharge an admonition, I commit in trust to you, Timothy my son, in
02:15accordance with prophetic intimations which I formerly received concerning you, so that
02:26inspired and aided by them, you may wage the good warfare.
02:34Spit it out, George.
02:37All right.
02:38Welcome.
02:39Prophet Sabrina is with us, who also happens to be my lovely wife.
02:44Prophecy is more than foretelling or forth-telling.
02:48It's a call to faithfully partner with God, to walk in the fullness of His word, and we must
02:54develop spiritual discernment and endure the process between promise and fulfillment.
03:01Today's study explores the nature of prophecy, the necessity of testing what we hear, and
03:08the example of David, we will use David a lot, who was anointed yet not immediately appointed.
03:15His life reveals how to respond in ceases of waiting, remain emotionally honest before
03:22God.
03:23Very important.
03:24Very important one.
03:25And strengthen ourselves in the Lord.
03:28When we learn to walk for our prophetic words through faith, obedience, and trust, we position
03:35ourselves to walk in divine fulfillment and see the goodness of God manifest in the land
03:41of the living.
03:42Oh, yes.
03:43All right.
03:44The following are the titles and subtitles that we will be discussing today.
03:48Number one.
03:49The nature of prophecy.
03:51And under the nature of prophecy, we have the subtitles of?
03:55Seek direct confirmation from God.
03:57Isn't it your turn?
04:00B.
04:01Test every word carefully.
04:04C.
04:05Rightly divide and apply prophetic scripture.
04:10D.
04:11Watch for the fruit.
04:12All right.
04:13So the nature of prophecy is number one.
04:15Number two.
04:16David's life as prophetic endurance.
04:19Under that, we'll have the subtitles of A. The anointing without appointment.
04:24B. David's emotional struggle and honest worship.
04:28D. David strengthened himself in the Lord.
04:32Number three.
04:33What kept David blessed in exile?
04:35That was fun.
04:36A. God's timing.
04:38B. God's guidance.
04:39C. Integrity, mercy, and teachability.
04:44D. The evidence of God's favor.
04:47All right.
04:48Number four.
04:49Is warring for your prophecy.
04:53Subtitle A. The call to contend.
04:58Number five.
04:59Summary.
05:00And number six.
05:01We'll finish with a declaration prayer.
05:03Which usually is based on the study that we do as well.
05:07Okay?
05:08Fire away.
05:09Number one.
05:10The nature of prophecy.
05:13Prophecy.
05:14Prophecy.
05:15Prophecy.
05:16Prophecy.
05:17Right.
05:18So in a world filled with voices seeking our attention, discerning the true voice of God
05:25is important.
05:26Why?
05:27Why?
05:28I bet you you see a lot of prophecy on YouTube and all those things.
05:31How many prophets do you guys know?
05:33Right?
05:34I'm going to be quick.
05:36Right?
05:37And the thing is this.
05:39We need to understand what prophecy is for us.
05:43Personal prophecy.
05:44So that we don't just grab everything.
05:46Prophecy is not merely a promise.
05:49It's an invitation to partner with the divine.
05:52To navigate this journey, we must cultivate a deep relationship with God.
05:57That's how we know if it's ours or not.
05:59Allowing his word and spirit to guide us.
06:04A.
06:06Seek direct confirmation from God.
06:10That's how we know.
06:11The number one is what George said.
06:13So before acting on any prophetic words that you hear, we must first seek clarity or confirmation
06:21directly from God.
06:23We can't just take things because the Bible even talk about that.
06:26Just take things out of word hearing or what sound good.
06:31Our foundation in prophetic discernment, which we need to all believers have, must be
06:38built upon an intimate relationship with our shepherd, Lord Jesus Christ.
06:43So that we may be confident as to who is guiding us.
06:48Right?
06:49Let's confirm that with a word.
06:50Right?
06:51So our foundation in prophetic discernment is built upon an intimate relationship with our shepherd.
06:56Our foundation in prophetic discernment.
06:59You said which each one of us need to have.
07:04We do have it.
07:06What we need to do is we need to exercise it.
07:10That's very important.
07:11All right.
07:12James 1 verse 5.
07:14James 1 verse 5 in the Amplified Classic says,
07:16If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God who gives to everyone
07:23liberally and ungrudgingly without reproaching or fault finding, and it will be given him.
07:31Another verse.
07:32John 10 verse 27.
07:34John 10 verse 27.
07:36The sheep that are my own hear and are listening, not will listen, are listening to my voice.
07:45And I know them and they follow me.
07:48Amen.
07:49So that just complement everything we said on explaining that topic.
07:54Okay.
07:55B.
07:56B is?
07:57Test every word carefully.
08:01Test every word carefully.
08:02So scripture teaches us not to accept every prophecy at face value.
08:07But George, they're very famous.
08:08They're on TV.
08:09I don't care.
08:10Jesus doesn't care.
08:12Actually, don't worry about George.
08:14God does not care how popular, how big, how many likes, how much money, how connected they are.
08:24Scripture teaches us not to accept every prophecy at face value.
08:29Not every word of encouragement is a word for us.
08:32That's right.
08:33So in reality, true prophetic words will withstand scrutiny and align with God's character and word.
08:40That's how you know if it's true or not.
08:43Let's confirm it with the word of God.
08:451 Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 20 to 21 from the AMPC.
08:50Do not spurn the gifts and utterance of the prophets.
08:54Do not despise prophetic revelations.
08:59Nor despise inspired instruction or exhortation or warning.
09:04But test.
09:05So we're not telling you to despise it.
09:08We're saying, but test and prove all things until, it says here, until you can recognize what is good to that whole farce.
09:20Do you guys understand what it's saying?
09:22It's saying that we're not saying to despise prophecy.
09:25We're saying to test it and test until you recognize.
09:28Don't just test it and like, oh, maybe that science is from God.
09:32No, test until you have peace.
09:34Right?
09:35Another verse to confirm.
09:361 Corinthians chapter 14 verse 29 AMPC.
09:40So let two or three prophets speak, those inspired to preach or teach, while the rest pay attention and wait and discern what is said.
09:54Amen.
09:55Amen.
09:56Amen.
09:57C.
09:58C.
09:59Rightly divide and apply prophetic scripture.
10:03Rightly divide and apply prophetic scripture.
10:06So when interpreting prophetic messages, we must consider the context.
10:14What does that mean?
10:15I didn't really expand when I wrote it.
10:17The context means you need to look at everything.
10:19So you can't just do like, I wouldn't call it a Russian ruler.
10:22You can't just take the Bible and open.
10:24And because the word actually sounds good to what you're going, you're like, it's mine.
10:29And then when things doesn't happen, oh, well, God wasn't true.
10:32I didn't hear from God.
10:34No.
10:35Every word that there is, you need to look at the context and what happened in the Bible at that point in time and why they thought like that.
10:43What did they do?
10:44So basically learning to understand the word of God so that you can apply it to yourself.
10:49Even when declaration is done in the same manner.
10:54So not every word is universally applicable.
10:57Discernment is the key to understanding and applying God's revelation appropriately.
11:04So discerning God's voice requires a heart attuned to him, a commitment to his word.
11:11Very important.
11:12You can't just pray and get word and that's it.
11:17You're living a Christian life.
11:18You wouldn't know who the author of the word is.
11:21John 1.1.
11:22The word is God and God is word.
11:26Right?
11:27And a willingness to test and apply prophetic messages wisely.
11:32Let's confirm that with the word of God.
11:342 Timothy 2 verse 15.
11:372 Timothy 2 verse 15.
11:39Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved, tested by trial.
11:47Tested by trial.
11:49A workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing, rightly handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.
12:02Amen.
12:03D.
12:04Watch for the fruit.
12:05D.
12:06Watch for the fruit.
12:07D.
12:08Watch for the fruit.
12:10D.
12:11D.
12:12D.
12:13D.
12:14D.
12:15D.
12:16D.
12:17D.
12:18D.
12:19D.
12:20D.
12:21D.
12:22D.
12:23D.
12:24D.
12:25D.
12:26D.
12:27D.
12:28D.
12:29D.
12:30D.
12:31to back that up i need to say this because i feel the lord tell me for the last one we just spoke
12:36about and even for this one but george but sabrina god can still speak outside his word he can't fit
12:43everything in there revelation you know everything god can speak to you outside of the word of god
12:48yeah but it has to confirm the word of the word of god has um so let me say it in proper way you
12:54say it in the you know what i mean you just you said the right verse before you said what did god
12:59say at the beginning in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god
13:06in other words everything in life in this world everything is included in the word george are you
13:17saying it's perfect it's absolutely perfect and if you call yourself a christian you don't and you
13:22think that the bible somehow has only a limited amount of information then you need to really
13:29question what kind of christianity you're believing in because the word of god represents christ
13:34himself represents the god we worship he is perfect he's totally complete his word is complete just
13:42because we happen to be too ignorant not to know and i don't mean that in a critical way oh too ignorant
13:47to not know where it is in the word of god doesn't mean it doesn't mean it's not there so we need to
13:53keep that in mind because it's very important there's a there's a lot of movements going around
13:57where everything's in the spirit and there's so much new revelation coming out and that's when
14:02you end up getting cults and also there is nothing new under the sun exactly the word of god tells us
14:08that there is nothing new on the sun now you might say but sabrina um i saw a sign for example god
14:13talked to me through nature a lot so i will see um i mean my husband can testify bees coming on my hand
14:19and all those things right so here the thing i'm not going to the bible and saying where's the bees and
14:24stuff and all those things what i'm saying is lord this is what this uh represent in your word
14:30i want a confirmation god will give you the confirmation it may not be and then there was
14:36a bees that came on your hand and then this will happen no but it will be aligned to what happened in
14:42the natural that's what i want you to understand so that you don't go like oh but uh if i see a number
14:50on a car it's not gonna be in the bible right no it's not like that god will confirm what you saw
14:56it may not be exactly like oh that's number on the car is yours might not be word for word
15:01why not that's right he confirms it through his character he in the word of god he confirms it
15:06through parables he confirms it through things that jesus said but he will confirm it that's right
15:12okay so we were talking about d watch for the fruit yes so let me give you a verse that confirm
15:18that right so i chose niv for this one because it's closer to what i wanted to uh to speak about
15:24so collage colossians chapter 3 verse 15 from the niv version let the peace of christ rule in your
15:31hearts since as members of one body you were called you were called to peace and be thankful why
15:39so things have to result with peace like we spoke in previous teaching p if there is no peace there
15:46you need to go and check again right and i'm not just talking about the natural peace that you can
15:50get because you have fulfilled a want in your life i'm talking about the peace of god that surpasses
15:56all understanding two number two david's life as prophetic endurance all right let's get into david's
16:05life right i mean it is amazing there are moments in our spiritual journey when god's promises seems
16:12distance i mean we all went there some of us are still going through it some of them has is about to
16:18get into it and sometimes we feel like god's voice it just feels silent like where are you are you even
16:24there lord yet yet when we look at david's life it's in these seasons of waiting and uncertainty yes i'd say
16:34that word that our faith is refined now david's life exemplifies this truth anointed asking while still
16:43a shepherd boy he faced trials isolations and delays before even ascending to the throne i mean how many
16:50of it would have screamed he did through his experiences we learn that god timing is perfect
16:58and his promises are sure why because his promises does come to pass so what we're going to do is we're
17:04going to delve um delve into the lessons from his life to strengthen our faith and trust as well build
17:13our trust in god's divine plan a a is the anointing without appointment all right so here's the thing
17:22now we all know that david was anointed by saul in the presence of his brothers i mean how cool is that
17:28right and then the spirit of the lord came upon him from that day forward that's what the bible says yet
17:35instead of immediately ascending to the throne david returned to tending sheep how many of us get excited
17:43right oh god has given such a good thing i'm going to do such a big thing for the kingdom of god yet
17:49we go back and feel to us of maybe we didn't hear right maybe it's not god's will maybe we've done
17:54something wrong because what did we go we went back tending sheep now this teaches us that god's
18:00anointing may come along before his appointed time for us and if we do not discern what's happening
18:10we get disappointed we get offended even by god and we even to um get mad at god now the period between
18:17anointing and appointment is not void because our god is not in is not a god who just just dump
18:24he is a god of preparation of perfection he perfect the blessing right that we're going to experience
18:30but it's not so it's the appointment and the anointing and the appointment in between is
18:36not void but a vital season of preparation it's where character is forged faith is tested and dependent
18:45on god is deepened so we can experience that breakthrough let's get verses from the bible to
18:51complement it 1 samuel 16 verse 13 1 samuel 16 13 then samuel took the horn of oil and anointed david
19:00in the midst of his brothers and the spirit of the lord came mightily upon david from that day
19:07forward and samuel arose and went to ramah so we saw that what we spoke before this is what it's
19:13confirming but he still went tending sheep all right b david's emotional struggle and honest worship all
19:22right david's journey was full of emotional turmoil in psalm 13 he cries out how long lord will you
19:32forget me forever man that seems so familiar in psalm 142 he laments no one is consent for me
19:38ah that one ah really not not familiar at all these honest expressions of despair reveal that emotional
19:49vulnerability before god is not a sign of weakness but a form of surrender now when you told me that
19:55this week for most of you guys you it's probably not a revelation for me i have heard this before
20:02but see the difference between knowing and revelation is very different you may know something but you may
20:10not have the revelation about that like a study of that it clicks there's something that clicks in our
20:14spirit and and when you told me about that during the week it just it made me really think and you
20:20just clicked and i thought oh wow that is really deep and that really means a lot and i should think
20:25about that every time i'm about to blow up um let me read that again because that is so important to
20:32understand that the journey was full of emotional turmoil okay we've read that in psalm 142 he laments no
20:38one needs consent for me these there it is these honest expressions of despair reveal that emotional
20:47vulnerability something that a lot of the religious movement and a lot of the superficial shallow
20:55christianity tends to push away that is very bad thing to do because as we see not just from me from
21:04david's life there are many examples in the word of god jesus himself right out in the garden have you
21:11forgotten about me right and he swept with blood yes so imagine that so these honest expressions of
21:18despair reveal that emotional vulnerability before god is not a sign of weakness but a form of surrender
21:25that is super powerful and the thing about it's what got me was um when i was doing that was um
21:30um um a letter from c.s lewis my my son loves c.s lewis so i tend to sometimes read bits and pieces from
21:37all my kids to know what they're reading and it really got me when i was frustrated it was a time
21:42of frustration and and he was talking to one of his friends in that letter and he said to the friend
21:47if i'm talking to you but you're thinking of something else wasn't that disrespectful and and he was
21:53talking in a in a way that wouldn't it be better for you to tell god what you're feeling what what
21:59everything is happening so that you can have you can tell him what's there so that you can listen to
22:05him do you understand what i'm trying to say because as you have uh cast your anxiety upon him right
22:11that's at at the feet of at his feet at his footstool right you are able then to look at him and receive
22:18what he's doing and what he's saying and what he wants you to do so you can experience that blessing
22:23because sometimes we we we we take it upon ourselves to say we shouldn't have this kind
22:30of character and it's not a relationship when you do that it's like what george was saying that
22:34religious mentality that you can't be yourself in front of god then what kind of relationship
22:39is that anyway keep going so david's authenticity in his relationship with god allowed him to process
22:46his pain and i am so much like that i'm not trying to boast and say i'm like david i'm not saying that
22:54i'm saying this that side of things him being in despair him being getting angry and crying out to god
23:00and really revealing his heart not hiding what's inside of his heart and anyway that's what you prayed
23:07for david's authenticity in his relationship with god allowed him to process his pain and find comfort
23:15in god's presence that's right even when he fled in fear and pretended to be insane in 1 samuel 21
23:22verses 10 to 13 or found himself in a cave of agilom with the distressed and discontented
23:311 samuel 22 verses 1 to 2 david continued to seek god earnestly let's confirm that with the word of god so
23:40we can um so you can understand his cry and his turmoil right some 142 i like this one i mean we
23:47could have chosen a lot but this one was very close to me i cried to the lord with my voice with my voice
23:54to the lord do i make supplication that's from the ampc if i didn't say it i pour out my complaint before him
24:01i tell before him my trouble when my spirit was overwhelmed and fainted throwing all its weight
24:09upon me then you knew my path in the way where i walk they have hidden a snare for me look on the right
24:19hand can you stop moving the point of attack and see for there is no man who knows me to appear for me
24:27refuge has failed me and i have nowhere to flee no man cares for my life or my welfare i cried to you
24:36oh lord i said you are my refuge my portion in the land of the living attend to my loud cry loud cry yeah
24:45for i am brought very low deliver me from my persecutors for they are stronger than i bring my life out of
24:54prison that i may confess praise and give thanks to your name the righteous will surround me and crown
25:01themselves because of me for you will deal bountifully with me how many of us can relate to that this is so
25:10beautiful right and when god answered him god answers us amen see david strengthened himself in the
25:21lord right that's one of the wonderful character i love about david he strengthened himself so when he
25:27faced um with the devastation at zigzag zigzag which we've talked about before um where his city was
25:34burned and his family were taken captive david was greatly distressed because you see it wasn't just his
25:42family it was everyone who was you know fighting alongside with him their wives and children right so the
25:49people even got so mad they even spoke of toning him yet do you know what david did he encouraged
25:56himself i mean seriously how cool is that let's confirm that with the word of god 1 samuel 30 verse 6
26:04david was greatly distressed for the men spoke of stoning him because the souls of them were all
26:10bitterly grieved each man for his sons and daughters but david encouraged and strengthened himself in the lord
26:18his god but david encouraged and strengthened himself in the lord his god david encouraged and strengthened
26:28himself sometimes we don't have others say but david encouraged and was strengthened by god
26:34his lord it says but david encouraged and strengthened himself in the lord his god so what happened is he
26:43chose to remember god's promises this is a this is a character he if you read um his life he
26:50he's cultivated right he chose to remember god's promises in times of trouble right he says i
26:58remain confident of this i will see the goodness of the lord in the land of the living psalm 27
27:04verse 13 right that's one of my my favorite uh song another way he deals with hardship is to
27:11worship he says i will bless the lord at all times his praise shall continually be in my mouth he says
27:20continually between in good and in bad psalm 34 verse 1. see david's response teaches us that in
27:27our darkest moment we can find strength by turning to god recalling listen very carefully what i said
27:34recalling his faithfulness and choosing i'm not saying you're just gonna go and worship because you
27:40i bet you you won't feel like worshiping but choose to worship despite your circumstances
27:47amen number three so what kept david blessed in exile please learn from that all right in seasons
27:56of exile when promises seem distant and trials abound in other words all you see is just trials
28:05it's easy to question god's plan yet david's life teaches us that god's blessings often manifest not
28:12in the absence of adversity but through unwavering faith amidst it in the middle of it in another
28:22words even while fleeing from soul david experienced god's favor right let's explore the principles that
28:30that kept david blessed during his exile a god's timing god's timing david had multiple opportunities
28:40to quicken his ascent to the throne by taking soul's life however he chose restraint he recognized that
28:48god's promises are fulfilled in god's timing not through human intervention by waiting for god's
28:54appointed time david exemplified a profound trust in his divine sovereignty understanding the true
29:02promotion comes from the lord i could have lots of testimonies before you say that bible verse just to
29:08confirm i could give you lots of testimonies of stuff like that and at times i'll be sincere with you
29:12in my life i've done it without knowing knowing it but i've done exactly what we just heard
29:18i didn't do it myself i waited upon the lord and man don't want these these were moments where i
29:25could have for example where we were struggling financially or whatever and i could have easily
29:32gotten a job again i'm not trying to criticize anybody whatever you do in your life that's between
29:37you and god but there's one thing that god told me from the very beginning when i gave my life to god
29:41do the right thing the right way george and i will bless you um so i had opportunities in a lot of
29:49those moments to uh get a job getting paid cash or do other things on the side you know like or get the
29:59the the prickle or whatever and i know that god told me no you're not gonna do that wait for me
30:08and it was frustrating because i saw other people do things and i saw other people go forward and
30:14and and i was i felt like i was stagnating but like david when you wait upon the lord's timing
30:22when you do get blessed when he does show up in his perfect timing it's it's long lasting it lasts the
30:28favor of god comes with it when you try to do things out of your own it doesn't last long it doesn't
30:33last you're gonna have to maintain it oh yes you're gonna burn yourself out because you're
30:38maintaining it you're maintaining that that um that fakeness that thing that was unappointed
30:43right so for a verse to confirm it 1 samuel chapter 24 verse 6 a.m pc he said which is david to his men
30:52the lord forbid that i should do this to my master the lord's anointed to put my hand out against him
30:58when he is the anointed of the lord which is saying that he could have just killed um um soul
31:04at any time right but he still did the right thing the right way b b god's guidance now david's
31:16leadership was marked by a continual seeking of god's direction before engaging in battle or making
31:25significant decisions he inquired of the lord in 1 samuel chapter 23 verse 2 he says shall i go and
31:33attack these philistines he was talking to god and waited for god's response even at the attack on
31:40ziglag david sought god's counsel before pursuing the enemy this consistent dependence on divine guidance
31:48underscores the importance of aligning our actions with god's will let's confirm that with a verse
31:561 samuel 30 verse 8 1 samuel 30 verse 8 and david inquired of the lord saying shall i pursue this
32:04troop shall i overcome that overtake them the lord answered him pursue for you shall surely overtake them
32:13and without fail recover all isn't it cool if you pursue god um if you ask god if you inquire of the
32:18lord and god says go for it without fail recover them all i mean this is the kind of response we want
32:25and in order to get that kind of response we have to seek divine guidance okay c integrity mercy and
32:33teachability okay david's character was further revealed in his interactions with others when abigail
32:40intervened to prevent him from avenging himself on navel david listened and acknowledged her wisdom
32:48saying praise be to the lord who has sent you today to meet me 1 samuel 25 verse 32 later when shimei cursed
32:57him david refrained from retaliation trusting in god's judgment these instances highlight david's humility
33:07his capacity for mercy his capacity for mercy and his willingness to be corrected traits essential
33:12for anyone seeking to fulfill god's purposes all the prophecies that was given into your life for
33:18fulfillment right we confirm that in 2 samuel chapter 16 verse 12 from the ampc version and it says it
33:26may be that the lord will look on the iniquity done me uh done me and will recompense me with good
33:34for his cursing this day we were talking about shimei cursing david d the evidence of god's favor
33:44now despite the challenges he faced david life bore the unmistakable mark of god's favor the divine
33:52presence didn't exempt him from trials as we all saw but empowered him to overcome them god's favor
34:00manifested not in the absence of adversity but in the strength to endure and prevail through it
34:08let's confirm that with the word of god 1 samuel 18 verse 14 david acted wisely in all his ways and
34:16succeeded and the lord was with him so as we we we saw how he got he got through it we saw that david's
34:24journey from shepherd to king teaches us that the fulfillment of god's promises or prophecies for
34:30your personal prophecies often involves a process that tests our faith refines our character and
34:37deepen which is probably the most important part deepens our reliance on god amen amen number four
34:46warring for your prophecy now we come to the core of everything we've learned through david's life
34:53and all that we spoke about the word of god and we will see how with that apply as a uh for us
34:59personally as we war for our prophecy that was given to us by the lord warring for your prophecy
35:05receiving a prophetic word is not the conclusion of god's communication but the commencement
35:10of a spiritual journey such words are divine invitations to partner with god requiring our active
35:20engagement through faith prayer and obedience the apostle paul exhorted timothy to wage the good
35:28warfare highlighting that the fulfillment of god's promises often involves spiritual contention
35:35right thus which is our main verse 1 timothy 1 verse 18 from ampc discharge and admonition i commit in trust
35:44to you timothy my son in accordance with prophetic in intimation which i formally received concerning you
35:53so he's talking about what the prophetic um words that god gave um through him to timothy so that inspired
36:01and aided by them you may wage the good warfare the thing about prophecy that we need to understand
36:08is this prophecy that is given that is from the word of god because you have on the other side will
36:13prophesy as well which is not a godly um that is from god what it's saying what it is it's part of what
36:20god has already written in the book of life for your life so it's part of the good work that god finishes for
36:26you right um he will finish that he has started in your life and in order for that to activate you
36:34have to walk with god and you have to let god be god in the process of it a the call to content
36:42contend content the call to contend you can be content yes i am content as per the scripture we just heard
36:51post charge to timothy emphasizes the necessity of actively engaging in spiritual warfare using the
37:00prophecies received so this involves recalling god's promises standing firm in faith and resisting
37:07opposing forces ephesians 6 verses 12 to 18 further elaborates this battle reminding us that our struggle
37:16is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces therefore we must equip ourselves with a
37:22full armor of god truth righteousness the gospel of peace faith salvation the word of god and prayer
37:29to stand firm and advance god's purposes in our lives some of the practical ways of warring your your
37:36prophecy are by praying the promise back to god you're not reminding him you're declaring his word
37:44uh praying the promise back to god declaring it over your life with faith has to be backed up with
37:53faith you can't drive a car without fuel you can't be declaring things without faith you might as well not
38:00declare it if you don't have faith living in alignment with the word refusing to accept discouragement and fear
38:09refusing to accept does not mean refusing to acknowledge you may acknowledge it there is
38:16discouragement there is fear but you don't accept it you don't take it in you don't say oh this is
38:23what i am this is what i'm no that's not who you are that's just the circumstances around you
38:28that is not who you are you are in christ jesus and you can do all things through christ jesus you can
38:33overcome anything you can go through anything so you refuse to accept it praising god even before
38:39the promise comes it's a crucial one and testing and retesting the word in prayer and peace this
38:50brings us to number five summary what david's life teaches us about prophecy see prophecy doesn't
38:59guarantee instant change it begins a journey instead david's discouragement did not define him
39:07his worship did integrity patience and obedient preserve the promise you must discern test and
39:16spiritually war for your word for your prophecies and your promises waiting seasons shape you for the
39:24the throne not sideline you from it understand that it doesn't sideline you it just shape you for you to
39:31sit there with authority right and number six number six declaration all right declaration we're gonna pray so
39:45yes james 1 verse 5 and john 10 27 father in the name of jesus we thank you
39:53that you are a god who speaks to your children we declare that we are led by your spirit and hear your
39:59voice clearly when we lack wisdom we ask and receive generously from you we will not be swayed by every
40:07voice but we descend and confirm your word for our lives your guidance is our confidence
40:141 timothy 1 18 and 1 samuel 16 13 father we declare that every prophetic promise over our lives is a call
40:26to partnership with you like david we are anointed for purpose and we will wage a good warfare with the
40:32words you have spoken we will not grow weary in waiting for we trust your timing and process we are
40:39strengthened by your spirit to endure and prevail in jesus name amen psalm 142 and 1 samuel 30 verse 6
40:49father even in our struggles and moments of discouragement we pour out our hearts to you we
40:55declare that you are our refuge and strength when we are overwhelmed we find courage in your presence we
41:02choose to worship and bless your name at all times knowing you will deal bountifully with us amen one
41:11samuel chapter 24 verse 6 and 2 samuel 16 verse 12 father we declare that we will walk in integrity
41:19humility and mercy just as david did we will wait for your appointed time we will remain teachable and
41:25open to your correction trusting that you will reward our faithfulness with good amen amen 1 samuel 18
41:33verse 14 and colossians 3 verse 15 we declare that the lord is with us and grants us favor in every
41:41season even in adversity we act wisely and succeed because his presence goes before us we let the peace of
41:49jesus christ rule in our hearts and we are thankful for his unending goodness amen ephesians chapter 6 12
41:57to 18 and 1 timothy 1 18 father we put on the full armor of god we stand firm in truth righteousness faith
42:05salvation and your word we pray at all times and declare that no weapon formed against a shot prosper
42:11we actively content for every promise refusing discouragement and fear we praise you in advance for
42:17every breakthrough in jesus name amen psalm 27 verse 13 and 1 samuel 23 verse 2 thank you lord that we
42:27remain confident and we will see the goodness of the lord in the land of the living we wait patiently
42:34and inquire of you in every decision we trust that your timing is perfect and every promise will be
42:40fulfilled as we walk in obedience and faith thank you for your faithfulness we declare that we are equipped
42:47empowered and encouraged to walk out every prophetic word with discernment patience and victory in the
42:55mighty name of jesus we pray amen amen amen and amen and amen thank you jesus all right if this is your
43:03first time hearing the living word of god we want to give you a divine invitation it's not a coincidence that
43:10you are you are here you know the word of god tells us very clearly in one john 5 4 to 5 for whatever is
43:16born of god overcomes the world and we all know that everybody goes through troubles through trials
43:23through tribulations in life everyone even christians yes even christians and this is the victory that has
43:30overcome the world the word of god says our faith where do you put your faith a lot of you have put
43:38your faith in gurus in superstars in money in whatever even those who say they are atheists they put their
43:47faith in something in their atheism theology in themselves philosophy in themselves everybody has faith
43:55in something who is he who overcomes the world though the word of god tells us very clearly but he who
44:01believes that jesus is the son of god amen if you believe jesus is the son of god he made him your lord
44:10and savior and you believe that god raised him from the dead you are saved you belong to the kingdom of
44:14god and you will overcome the world no matter what you face john 3 16 17 tells us very clearly explains to
44:24us for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son who is that jesus christ that whoever
44:30believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life for god did not send his son into the world
44:36to condemn the world but that's the world through him might be saved and that might there depends on
44:44your free will and what you decide one john 1 9 goes on to say if we confess our sins he is faithful and
44:53just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness sin in the most simplistic
45:00form and explanation is when we try to live our lives without god if you've tried to live your
45:05life without god you are in sin and you are disconnected from the blessings of god not only
45:11the blessings of having a relationship with the living god but the blessings as in financial health
45:16all those things you are in danger without god so what do you what do i have to do george okay
45:23very easy but you have to mean it it has to come from your heart romans 10 verses 9 to 10 tells us
45:32that if you confess with your mouth the lord jesus and believe in your heart that god has raised him
45:38from the dead you will be saved for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth
45:44confession is made unto salvation that's what you need to do you need to confess confess with your mouth
45:51just like you can listen to my voice right now and mean it from your heart there's no generic prayer
45:57there's nothing that you need to to repeat after me there's it's not like that people used to do that
46:02in the past and some still do just to guide you but it's not some sort of generic prayer that you need
46:08to follow it needs to come from your heart and then he goes on to say it doesn't stop there titus
46:143 verse 5 ephesians 2 verse 8 acts 1 verse 8 amongst others tells us that once you are saved by grace
46:20through faith the gift of god he washes away our sins giving us the new joy of the indwelling holy
46:28spirit we actually as the word of god says become a we are born again in the spirit we become a new
46:34creation in christ jesus but there is that new joy of the indwelling holy spirit which is a gift of
46:42baptism of of the holy spirit and fire and you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon
46:48you and you will be my witnesses telling people about me everywhere this is called as i just said
46:54the baptism of the holy spirit and fire but you need to invite the holy spirit to come and why do we
46:59need him because we need a guidance from god himself we need his guidance his protection we need him to
47:07teach us and to lead us in the ways of the lord so that more and more each day we can become more and
47:13more like christ but his holy spirit will come and he will live inside of you you will become the church
47:19you will become the synagogue the temple whatever you want to call his indwelling place he will live
47:24inside of you and he will guide you correct you perfect you comfort you love on you use you to touch other
47:33lives in a mighty way amen amen and he comes bearing gifts he comes bearing spiritual gifts prophecy
47:41miracle signs and wonders all those gifts are spiritual gifts that he comes with you and teach
47:45you how to walk well equipped representing god amen so we're going to be praying for the baptism of
47:52holy spirit and fire if you haven't invited jesus already and chose to believe that god raised him from
47:57the dead do it right now and you have to mean it because we're going to pray together with you and
48:04we're going to be blessed with the baptism of holy spirit and fire are you ready let's do it lord i thank
48:11you for the privilege of praying with our brothers and sisters i thank you for those that have given
48:16their lives to you lord that have come back to the kingdom families right now lord we are hungry and
48:22thirsty and those that are hungry and thirsty for righteousness shall be filled as your word says so right now
48:27we say holy spirit fill us fresh we pray for your baptism of fire lord send fire set us a light
48:36yes that the world will come and watch us burn a fire that cannot be quenched the fire of revival lord
48:44yes revival fire we need it we need it in australia we need it in canada we need it in america we need
48:51in uk especially those nations we desperately need it yes lord lord burn up all the dross burn up all the
48:58lies burn up all the deceit yes lord we say yes to more of you and less of us yes lord in jesus name
49:09amen amen and amen glory to god hallelujah congratulations all right we decree and declare
49:20colossians 1 verses 9 to 13 for this reason we also from the day we heard of it have not ceased to pray
49:28and make special requests for you asking that you may be filled with the full deep and clear and
49:34knowledge knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom in comprehensive insight into the ways and
49:41purposes of god and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things that you may walk live and
49:48conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the lord fully pleasing to him and desiring to please him in
49:55all things bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of
50:02god with fuller deeper and clearer insight acquaintance and recognition we pray that you may be invigorated
50:11and strengthened with all power according to the might of his glory to exercise every kind of endurance
50:18and patience perseverance and forbearance with joy giving thanks to the father who has qualified and
50:24made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints god's holy people in the light
50:31the father has delivered and draw us to himself out of the control and dominion and the dominion of
50:37darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the son of his love in jesus name amen god bless you
