00:00Padres and Giants squaring off last night great pitching matchup for both teams you know Padres

00:05have like a half or one game lead right now as it stands in the standings Matt but you know I do

00:11believe the Padres offense is going to be better than what we've shown but Matt the Giants offense

00:16my gosh like the last couple of weeks here has just completely gone the other way it seems like

00:22they have the pitching but you know unless something changes offensively or Willie Adamas

00:27gets hot or one of those guys that they have in San Francisco I mean this 33 and 27 record I have

00:33a feeling that's going to go the other way yeah that's kind of what it feels like you know I

00:38I think we've talked about the Giants a few times and every time it's like man that pitching is

00:42it'd be so nice if they just had you know one more hitter just a little more consistency because

00:47they're right there with the pitching uh great bullpen obviously solid starters and you know we

00:53saw last night even with that they couldn't you know quite get it done so you know is it going to

00:59be internal as is are they going to have to make a move what is the move I don't know I feel like

01:04they're good enough to compete with that pitching and and we all know what hot pitching can do in the

01:08playoffs but it just feels like they're just a batter short at least one batter short and on the other

01:13side you have this Padres team that has some good bats and I think like you've said there's a couple

01:18there's a couple bats in that lineup right now who aren't you know achieving at their normal level

01:23and if they can just get that up with the solid pitching they have the solid starters you know

01:27there's injuries in the rotation but nonetheless solid starting staff pretty good bullpen put that

01:33all together I mean that's a team that can make a deep run that's a team that could potentially

01:36challenge the Dodgers who I think we all just sort of go well the Dodgers are the best team well sure

01:41yeah but you know it's a long season and the Padres are playing good ball and and everyone's trying to

01:47overcome injuries and then sometimes you get to the end of the year you're surprised by what you see

01:50so yeah I mean this is a fantastic race you know we're going to see the Padres now play these teams

01:56I think they have three more against the Giants they have seven against the Dodgers in June so you know

02:00things are going to get separated here a little bit as we roll into the all-star break and then of

02:05course we'll really see what happens but an exciting division and I'm really looking forward to seeing

02:10the rest of this series you know something about those late night west coast series that are always kind of

02:15fun when you get two talented teams like that
