Diddy's former assistant "Mia" says she loves Cassie like a sister, but she didn't tell her about the mogul's alleged abuse because she says Diddy closely monitored their communications ... and he'd even put tracking devices on Cassie's car.

00:00The other big news in New York City, the Diddy trial continuing now in our fourth week.
00:06Fourth week of actual testimony, yeah.
00:08Right.
00:09And the assistant, former assistant to Diddy, known as Mia, that is the pseudonym she's using to testify anonymously,
00:17is on the stand and getting grilled pretty hard from Diddy's defense attorneys on cross-examination here.
00:24And there really seemed to be zeroing in on, you know, you said that Diddy allegedly sexually assaulted you multiple times.
00:34Why didn't you tell anyone about this?
00:37And they are not really doing this with kid gloves.
00:42Nope.
00:42Because there's always a feeling that the defense has to sort of walk lightly here with victims.
00:48Right.
00:48Imagine you're sitting on the jury, Charles, and you've got a woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by the defendant,
00:52and you've got the defendant's lawyers attacking her.
00:55Well, they went in hard.
00:57Why aren't they going to the police?
00:59Why didn't Mia go to the police?
01:02Which is what the defense raised.
01:04You know, I mean, if you're being sexually assaulted by somebody, that, you know, you go to the police.

01:13Well, this isn't the 1990s.
01:15I think it's 2025, and pretty much on Friday, Mia, like, literally basically said to this guy that's cross-examining her,
01:23like, read a book about psychology, talk to my therapist, because it's way more complicated than just,
01:28oh, I'm going to talk to my best friend Cassie and say your boyfriend is assaulting me,
01:33or call up the police when Diddy has made threats on her life, on her job, physically and sexually assaulted her.
01:39So I just think it's a little more complex.
01:42She was also asked about that, specifically, that you never mentioned to Cassie that this sexual assault had happened.
01:52I thought she had a good response to that, basically.
01:56Basically, her point is that, you know, she was constantly fearing surveillance, like, Diddy's looking through,
02:01she says that Diddy is looking through her phone and Cassie's phone.
02:05She says that Diddy was tracking Cassie's car.
02:07So there wasn't, like, an opportunity for her to tell Cassie without Diddy's eyes potentially being on them.
02:13I mean, another thing she could have done was quit her job.
02:16I mean, she was an assistant.
02:17I mean, she could always get a new job as an assistant.
02:20She didn't have to stay with Diddy and get sexually assaulted, as she claims.
02:26Yeah, well, this is obviously a big point of contention that it's been, it's come up ever since the cross-examination started,
02:35where, look, a lot of people look at this as victim-shaming.
02:38Yes.
02:39You are saying this person who was, by their testimony, was being not only sexually assaulted, but threatened.
02:48Physically beaten.
02:48Physically beaten while on the job.
02:51Right.
02:52And there's a massive power dynamic, Charles, in that he's wealthy, he's famous, he's her boss.
02:57And these are young women in their 20s starting out their career.
03:01And a lot of people would look at that and say that Diddy's the predator there.
03:05Yeah.
03:05Again, he's not being, he's not being, he's not charged with that.
03:11Right.
03:11That is not something that's, you know, part of this trial.
03:15Right.
03:15But it certainly has come up.
03:18And in fact, we are going to get into this a little bit later because Bill Maher had an interesting take on the trial
03:24that has gotten a lot of people talking about victims and how we as a society treat victims.
03:31We're going to get into that with a psychologist later in the show.
03:35One other thing we've got to tell you about the trial, and this was a sidebar, if you will.
03:40Last week, President Trump was asked during a news conference in the Oval Office if he would consider
03:48pardoning Diddy if he's convicted.
03:50Right.
03:51Federal charge.
03:51Yeah.
03:52He could get him out with a stroke of the pen.
03:53And he said he would consider it, which a lot of people thought was surprising that he would say that.
03:59But he said, I would consider it.
04:00I did.
04:01And 50 Cent jumped on that.
04:04And we know how they feel about each other.
04:0650 hates Diddy.
04:07Hates Diddy.
04:0850 knows President Trump.
04:11And in fact said, he, meaning Diddy, said some really bad things about Trump.
04:15It's not okay.
04:16I'm going to reach out so he, the president, knows how I feel about this guy.

04:22Diddy.
04:22And a lot of people took that as 50, 50, excuse me, is going to bury any chance that
04:28Diddy had at getting a pardon.
04:30Diddy says, or 50 says, no, not the case, but.
04:33I just want him to, I want the president to have all the information.

04:38Yeah.
04:38A lot's got to happen before we even get to that.

04:41Hasn't even been convicted.

04:45And I just think it's really scary how many women feared for their lives around Diddy.
04:50There's just too many testimonies and too much evidence surrounding his alleged abuse.
04:55And I really hope he gets sentenced to the fullest degree.
