00:00:00After only two games, the heat is on. The Arizona Cardinals to win.
00:00:04Frustrated free-aging quarterback Boomer Esiason and his teammates are looking to extinguish fears
00:00:08and get the first win for rookie head coach Vince Tobin.
00:00:12Fiery New England quarterback Drew Bledsoe is out to prove that his sophomore season was no false alarm
00:00:17as he and the other Patriots, under the scornful eye of Fire Marshal Bill Parcells,
00:00:22look for their first win in Foxborough this season.
00:00:24Between Boston and Providence, you'll find the city of Foxborough,
00:00:30and that's where we are today, Foxborough Stadium.
00:00:32As Fox Television Sports presents the NFL, the Arizona Cardinals taking on the New England Patriots.
00:00:38And hello again, everyone. I'm Kevin Holland, joined as always by Jerry Glanville.
00:00:42Two teams, Jerry, looking for their first win. What do you see as the differences today?
00:00:45Well, the Arizona Cardinals, Kevin, they're looking for improvement. They want to get better.
00:00:49The New England Patriots are different.
00:00:51Their head coach looked in our eyes, Bill Parcells, and said, this is it.
00:00:54We have to win this football game to have a season. If we lose this, our season's over.
00:00:59Arizona was whacked pretty good by the Jimmy Johnson-led Miami Dolphins last week in the Valley of the Sun.
00:01:03They pulled Boomer Esiason at halftime. What gives them a chance to win today?
00:01:07When you look at the Arizona defense, you see eight starters that can play for anybody in the National Football League.
00:01:12And I think because of that, the quarterback's 35 years old instead of 25,
00:01:16and he says, my job is not to have stats.
00:01:18It's my job. No sacks, no interceptions. Let the defense win it.
00:01:22I'll tell you what, you can't go anyplace in New England and not hear or read or see anything about Drew Bledsoe.
00:01:27I mean, the whole city is absolutely wild about this kid, but again, he's struggling like he did last year.
00:01:32But to crawl out of this defunct, he's in.
00:01:35Parcells and Bledsoe have to be joined at the hip.
00:01:37They have to become one.
00:01:38They have to support each other every day, and they'll become a good football player.
00:01:42All right, the Cardinals and the Patriots both looking for their first win.
00:01:45We're back with the kickoff right after this.
00:01:47Come on. Let's don't let up on it, man.
00:01:50We're out of Tennessee to let up, man.
00:01:52Keep it to him, man. Let's keep sticking it to him.
00:01:54Day in, day out, man. Just keep on giving it to him.
00:01:56Boy, baby. Let's make it physical. Let's make it a game we want to play.
00:01:59Don't relax. Don't let them lose to sleep.
00:02:01Let's get after, man. Let's get after it.
00:02:0460 minutes. 60 minutes, baby. 60 minutes on three.
00:02:071, 2, 3. 60 minutes.
00:02:08Fox, home of Super Bowl XXXI.
00:02:19Spectacular day for football here in Foxborough Stadium.
00:02:23There you see Greg Davis and Dave Maggett.
00:02:25We'll be back for the New England Patriots along with Troy Brown
00:02:28ready to receive this kickoff.
00:02:30Both teams are winless so far.
00:02:32Both teams looking for a win.
00:02:33Last week in Buffalo, the Patriots losing.
00:02:35And last week in Arizona, in Phoenix, the Cardinals losing big to Jimmy Johnson in the Miami Dolphins.
00:02:43So the winner today gets out of the losing column and into the win column for the first time.
00:02:48And here we go from Foxborough.
00:02:50And Dave Maggett from the three-yard line will bring it up with some blocking.
00:02:54And he's passed the 20, and the former New York Giant takes it on to the 23, tackled by Devin McDonough.
00:03:02Drew Bledsoe, last year with shoulder problems in both the right and left shoulder.
00:03:06Didn't have a deep threat.
00:03:07Well, this year he's healthy.
00:03:08He's off to an ordinary start.
00:03:09They need more from him if this team is going to succeed.
00:03:12On the offensive line for the New England Patriots, Armstrong, Roberts, Wollabaugh, Kredge, and Max Lane.
00:03:18In the backfield, they got last year's rookie of the year, Curtis Martin, at the blocker, Sam Dash.
00:03:23Glenn and Jefferson are the wideouts, and the great tight end is Ben Coates.
00:03:28And on first down and 10 from their own 23-yard line, Dash is by himself in the backfield, and Bledsoe will go right to work.
00:03:36Bumps it off to Sam Dash.
00:03:37He's not a pass catcher, but he picks up the first down.
00:03:40He breaks a tackle, and he's after the 38-yard line.
00:03:43Finally brought down by Jameer Miller.
00:03:45It's a pickup for 15, the first time the Patriots put it in play.
00:03:49And that's unusual for the Patriots throwing on first down.
00:03:53That hasn't been what they've been doing, but they're going to change everything.
00:03:56This is it.
00:03:56This is their game.
00:03:57Rice, Wilson, Swan, Michael Bankston, who Jerry likes a lot on that defensive line.
00:04:01The linebackers, Miller, who just made the tackle with Hill and Seth Joyner.
00:04:04And then the secondary, Alexander Williams, the cornerbacks.
00:04:07Hogan McNamee, the former Buffalo Bill, will be the backfield for the Dave McGinnis-led secondary of the Cardinals.
00:04:17And a pass downfield is incomplete for rookie Terry Glenn.
00:04:20It'll be second down.
00:04:22Bledsoe had the pass right there.
00:04:23Interesting.
00:04:24Two plays.
00:04:24First play, drop back pass.
00:04:26Second play, play action pass.
00:04:28And if you've been watching the Patriots, first and 10 has been a run down, try to rough you up, get after you physically.
00:04:33So they're swapping around their play selection a little bit.
00:04:37Bledsoe had ordinary numbers last week against the Buffalo Bills.
00:04:40In fact, most of his yards and most of his completions were in the last couple minutes of the game when they had a hurry-up offense,
00:04:46which he has said he would like to see more of.
00:04:50Second down and 10 with Coates on the move.
00:04:53And a handoff for the first time to Curtis Martin.
00:04:55He was hit at the line of scrimmage by Seth Joyner.
00:04:58It'll be third down.
00:05:03The Cardinals running a stunt to stop that.
00:05:05If you looked at the tight end, he was in motion trying to come in.
00:05:09They read the stunt, tried to come in and pick up the backer.
00:05:12But the backer made the play anyway.
00:05:14Nice job by Seth Joyner.
00:05:15Bledsoe will now steady the dying defense of the Cardinals.
00:05:22It's third down and eight.
00:05:24Megan is in the backfield.
00:05:27Bledsoe with the cadence may have gotten them off sides.
00:05:29And here's the pass.
00:05:30And it's caught for a first down, at least right now, by rookie Terry Glenn, a number one pick out of Ohio State.
00:05:36He picks up 11 yards and right now has a first down.
00:05:38What about that throw by the quarterback everybody's wondering about?
00:05:42That was a frozen rope.
00:05:43You take a rope, you stick it in your freezer.
00:05:45It's out of line.
00:05:47And he threw a frozen rope.
00:05:49Problem is, they don't want him to hang himself with that rope.
00:05:52He's got himself in some problems in the past.
00:05:54There's Walt Coleman.
00:05:55I believe he's from Alabama.
00:05:57He's in.
00:05:58He's in.
00:05:58Number 98.
00:05:59Italy's declined.
00:06:01First down.
00:06:02Now there's a man with an Alabama accent.
00:06:04I gotta love that guy.
00:06:04That's the state right next door to Georgia, you know?
00:06:06Walt Coleman, who is our referee today, he also refereed the World Bowl over in Scotland back in June for the NFL.
00:06:13It's a blitz, Kevin.
00:06:14They're showing blitz.
00:06:15First down and 10.
00:06:16And the handoff goes to Martin, who's over the left side, careening for a couple, down to the 46.
00:06:20And Jameer Miller makes his second tackle of the day for this defense of the Cardinals, which you like a great deal.
00:06:26This defense has four outstanding defensive linemen.
00:06:29And then you put Eric Hill and Seth Joyner.
00:06:31And then you got Williams at a corner.
00:06:33And we talked about in the open, they have eight starters that would play for anybody in the National Football League on defense.
00:06:40Miller's had some off-the-field problems, but you cannot contest what he's done on the field.
00:06:45He is continuing to live up to the high praise coming out of UCLA.
00:06:48Second down and seven.
00:06:49And for the first time today, Bledsoe finds his all-pro tight end Ben Coates.
00:06:53Another first down to the 36.
00:06:55And that's another pickup of 11 following the pass to Terry Glenn for 11 yards.
00:07:00And the quarterback is not being rushed.
00:07:02He got rushed the first two games.
00:07:04Watch the offensive line.
00:07:06The guards are Roberts and Cratch.
00:07:08Look at him pick up the extra blitzer.
00:07:10They were sending Eric Hill.
00:07:12And really, Cratch and Max Lane and Wollinbaugh, the center, all slid over and picked up the linebacker trying to come up inside.
00:07:18Ben Coates, another all-pro season a year ago.
00:07:22Seventh play of this drive.
00:07:25First and ten from the 36, a handoff.
00:07:27And Curtis Martin is up the middle, steaming ahead to the 36-yard line.
00:07:32Tackle was made on the play by Bernard Wilson.
00:07:36If you're Curtis Martin, after every ball game, you get Sam Gash and you take him out to dinner.
00:07:41Sam Gash went up inside the lead block and smacked everybody around.
00:07:45But Sam Gash will be the guy that will lead the play for Curtis Martin.
00:07:51Good-looking drive put together by the Patriots.
00:07:54Beginning at their own 23.
00:07:55Now second down a yard to go from the 27-yard line.
00:07:59Looks like Wendsel might be changing the play.
00:08:01Audible with a hand signal.
00:08:02He audible that play.
00:08:03Came out.
00:08:04He saw man-to-man coverage.
00:08:05No safety.
00:08:06He's going for a touchdown.
00:08:07And he was looking for Terry Glenn, who was covered on the play by Aeneas Williams.
00:08:12Obviously their best cornerback.
00:08:13An all-pro starter for the last couple years.
00:08:15And Terry Glenn, who had six catches a week ago, can't get to that one.
00:08:19He overthrew that, but he saw it was man-to-man coverage.
00:08:23No zone.
00:08:24And so he does a hand signal that changes the whole play.
00:08:32Glenn held out a while.
00:08:33But the most important thing is he has had some injuries in camp and saw very little action in the preseason.
00:08:38He had a hamstring.
00:08:39If you ever had a hamstring, people wonder, why can't you come back?
00:08:42When the hamstring is tight and it's pulling, you cannot run.
00:08:47Third down and one now for Bledsoe.
00:08:48And it's Martin again who takes it up the middle and was whacked pretty quickly on the play.
00:08:53From the secondary coming up was Matt Darby along with Michael Bankston.
00:08:56We talked with this young player yesterday.
00:08:58Michael Bankston may be their best, most consistent player.
00:09:03And he plays tackle on some downs and plays defensive end on other downs.
00:09:06And we watched him, number 63.
00:09:12And when we interviewed the head coach, Vince Tolman, we said, this is the guy.
00:09:16He said, he's the guy, the most consistent guy we got playing right now.
00:09:19And you can see he's been an effective defensive lineman for this team for a long time.
00:09:23Fourth and one timeout he called.
00:09:26Timeout taken by Drew Bledsoe.
00:09:28So probably pretty good because it's a good-looking drive for the Patriots coming up right now.
00:09:32Just into the ballgame with no score.
00:09:39Fox NFL Sunday is brought to you by Southwest Airlines.
00:09:42With low fares on every flight, every seat, every day.
00:09:46By the world's most advanced battery, the new Duracell Power Check.
00:09:50By the new Coors Light wide-mouth can.
00:09:52Tap the Rockies with a smoother pour.
00:09:54And by 7-Eleven.
00:09:56Oh, thank heaven for 7-Eleven.
00:09:58Well, so far, the New England offense does not look like a bumpkin.
00:10:04They're riding in that nice Cinderella carriage all the way down.
00:10:07But a crucial fourth and one coming up now from the Cardinal 27-yard line.
00:10:11It's the 10th play of the drive upcoming.
00:10:14Drew Bledsoe's had a good first series in the game.
00:10:18And the handoff to Curtis Martin.
00:10:20And he tries to go up the middle.
00:10:21And there is not a lot of give there from the Cardinal defense.
00:10:24And a big hit right off the bat again by Michael Bankston.
00:10:26And the defense jumped a little bit on it.
00:10:28But they got back outside.
00:10:29I saw a Cardinal.
00:10:31It may have been Michael Bankston.
00:10:32Jumped but brought his foot back in time.
00:10:34And you got an all-day job running at Michael Bankston and Eric Swann.
00:10:38Two excellent defensive linemen.
00:10:41Looks like they stopped him.
00:10:42And on that New England drive, they had pass completions of 15 yards, 11 yards to Glenn, 11 yards to Coates.
00:10:51But I think the key is, what down were they throwing those completions?
00:10:54Very different this game.
00:10:56They were completing those passes on first and 10 rather than waiting for the long down.
00:11:00So the defense of Arizona holds.
00:11:04This is a defense which is not highly regarded, especially against the run.
00:11:08But they stopped the run on fourth and one right there by New England.
00:11:11Watch the penetration by the defensive linemen.
00:11:14They have to get low and underneath.
00:11:16Eric Swann, 98, all the way in the backfield.
00:11:19Did an arm over.
00:11:21Bernard Wilson also in on that play.
00:11:24Good defensive line again for the Cardinals.
00:11:26If the Patriots lose it on downs, Boomer Esiason and the Cardinals take over at their own 27, first down and 10.
00:11:33And the pitch to Leland McElroy out of Texas A&M.
00:11:37And he is stuck by Ted Johnson.
00:11:39Nice play by the second-year player from Colorado.
00:11:41Well, hello, Johnson.
00:11:43We've been waiting for Johnson.
00:11:44Here's a high pick out of Colorado and doing a good job.
00:11:47He finally got a smack on that.
00:11:48Where's Boomer Esiason?
00:11:49Hold last week at halftime against Miami.
00:11:51He starts today for a third consecutive time with no touchdown passes.
00:11:55Brown, Love, Devlin from Buffalo.
00:11:58Redman and Wolfe on the line.
00:11:59Wolfe taking the place of Ernest Cuy.
00:12:00McElroy and Senators in the backfield.
00:12:02Moran, Sanders, the wideouts.
00:12:04And the veteran, Pat Carter, is the tight end.
00:12:07Second down and 12.
00:12:09And McElroy is in motion out of the backfield.
00:12:11And Larry Senators gets the call.
00:12:13And Larry Senators pulls his way upfield for a gain to the 33-yard line.
00:12:18Where he's brought down by Monte Brown.
00:12:20Now the Patriot defense.
00:12:24It's a 43-look.
00:12:25Willie McGinnis now moves on that line with Wyman, the rookie.
00:12:29Pio Songapolitelli is on the line from Baltimore.
00:12:31And Mike Jones at the other side.
00:12:33Brown, Ted Johnson, and Chris Slade, who had a great game last week, are the linebackers.
00:12:37Reynolds and Law are the quarterbacks.
00:12:39Willie Clay from the Lions and Terry Ray are the safeties.
00:12:42It's third down and four.
00:12:44Larry Senators in the backfield.
00:12:45And the shotgun formation for Boomer Esiason.
00:12:49Esiason hit.
00:12:50And incomplete on the far sideline for Frank Sanders.
00:12:54Coverage by the former Michigan Wolverine, Ty Law.
00:12:58And the defense of New England holds.
00:13:00Well, this is one.
00:13:02Cover one means man-to-man with a free safety.
00:13:04Prior to Belichick coming, they were a two-zone team.
00:13:07Watch all your secondary people.
00:13:09They're full-press, bump and run.
00:13:11You can see him man-to-man hanging on.
00:13:13And you have all the routes with a free safety in the hole.
00:13:16That's what's new in New England.
00:13:20The punter is Jeff Fegels, who had an interesting week last week.
00:13:23A block punt and an 11-yarder.
00:13:25And Dave Maggett circles under this and is whacked at the 26-yard line by cover man Anthony Edwards.
00:13:32Who's a backup wide receiver.
00:13:34And he was all over the play.
00:13:37That's a punt of 40 yards by Fegels.
00:13:39And Maggett and the offense, once again to the Patriots, will get it with no score here in Foxborough.
00:13:51Bill Parcells on the left, of course.
00:13:54The Super Bowl wins down at New York.
00:13:55His first win as a Patriot coach was against these Cardinals.
00:13:59And Vince Tobin on the right replaces Buddy Ryan.
00:14:01And Tobin has got a brand new script, a fresh new look.
00:14:04And I think so far, even though they have not won, it has been a very positive deal for this team as they completely overhaul their coaching staff.
00:14:12And the feel they want to give the fans down in the Valley of the Sun.
00:14:15And he has a new five-year contract.
00:14:17And the second time he's followed Buddy Ryan.
00:14:19He followed Buddy Ryan as a defensive coordinator into Chicago.
00:14:23Now the second time the Patriots have had the ball today.
00:14:27Here's a sweep and it goes to Curtis Martin.
00:14:29Trying to get a block and trying to cut the corner.
00:14:32But he can't.
00:14:32He's knocked down at the 30-yard line by Jameer Miller.
00:14:35That's his third tackle in the game.
00:14:42The backside guard will be pulling, trying to lead.
00:14:46Here's Martin trying to get to the outside.
00:14:48But good defensive play.
00:14:50Miller, 95.
00:14:52So far, he's had a good game.
00:14:53Now, that was a run on first and 10.
00:14:55Prior to that play, the Patriots were five runs and five passes on first and 10.
00:15:00And that's not what they usually do.
00:15:03Second down and six.
00:15:04The quarterback through Bledsoe has a pretty good time.
00:15:06And for a second time today, he goes to his fullback.
00:15:09No more for blocking the pass receiving.
00:15:11That's Sam Dash.
00:15:12And he's close to a first down.
00:15:14Right now for a McDonald's game break, let's return to James Brown at our Fox Television Center.
00:15:18Kevin Eagles strike on their opening drive.
00:15:21Highlighted by Ricky Waters.
00:15:23Just three carries for 67 yards.
00:15:25A fourth and one at the Lions 21.
00:15:27Kept the drive alive.
00:15:28Eagles on top.
00:15:297-0.
00:15:30Take it back to Kevin Harlan and Jerry Glanville.
00:15:32All right, J.B.
00:15:33Boy, Philadelphia had a rough road in Green Bay this past Monday night.
00:15:37Remember, if you lose on Monday night, you usually win the next Sunday.
00:15:42Dash did get the first down on the pass from Bledsoe.
00:15:44So it's first down and 10 from the 36-yard line.
00:15:47And a handoff again to Curtis Martin.
00:15:49His seventh carry.
00:15:50And he busts free.
00:15:50And he's all the way to the 44-yard line.
00:15:54Tackled by Matt Darby and Terry Ho.
00:15:56That's a big gain on first down.
00:15:58When you see Curtis Martin come up through the middle, you know Sam Gash is leading.
00:16:03Curtis Martin, rookie of the year last year.
00:16:06Watch the fullback come.
00:16:07The fullback will take you to the football.
00:16:09The fullback runs up inside.
00:16:11Tries to find 57.
00:16:13Knock him out of there.
00:16:15Good fullback.
00:16:16If you're going to start a team, wouldn't you go get Gash?
00:16:19He can block well.
00:16:20He's going to try to block again on the second down and two.
00:16:22And he does get the block.
00:16:23And he springs him for a gain of about two yards as the rookie, undrafted rookie Ronald McKinnon,
00:16:29makes the stop.
00:16:31Sam Gash.
00:16:31You know, we're seeing more of these blocking fullbacks come back into vogue.
00:16:34We saw Lorenzo Neal down in New Orleans.
00:16:37Charles Wade with the New York Giants.
00:16:38William Henderson with the Green Bay Packers.
00:16:40But then you go to the fullback here today.
00:16:42Larry Centers is the number one receiving fullback in all of football.
00:16:46He's total opposite of what Gash is.
00:16:48Rather than the blocker, he is the receiver.
00:16:52It's third down and about a yard to go past the 45-yard line.
00:16:56The handoff again to Kurt Martin.
00:17:00And he is, I think, accomplished a first down onto the 47-yard line.
00:17:04And all kinds of people were there making the stop.
00:17:07Gash leading the way again.
00:17:09And they said they're like brothers on the field.
00:17:11They spent all their time off the field together.
00:17:14Martin says, this is my bodyguard.
00:17:15This is the guy that protects me.
00:17:17And you can see, this is how they opened up against Buffalo.
00:17:20Running Gash in there with the block.
00:17:22And then the good running back, Curtis Martin, behind.
00:17:24First and ten.
00:17:24Let's see if they go back and throw it on a first and ten.
00:17:28Martin's carried it nine times.
00:17:29It is first down and ten yards to go.
00:17:31Another drive by New England.
00:17:32And the pass deflected.
00:17:33It almost picked off again by Jameer Miller.
00:17:36He's been every place in this game so far.
00:17:38Well, what happened there is Bledsoe looked over.
00:17:40Nobody was on the slot.
00:17:41He looked over and said, hey, there's nobody covering.
00:17:43I'm just going to throw it over there.
00:17:44But like you said, Jameer, what a game he's having.
00:17:47He's watched this ball.
00:17:48You can't see the slot to the right here.
00:17:49But he's totally uncovered.
00:17:5143 was off of him.
00:17:54Now, that was Matt Darby.
00:17:55It was 12, 14 yards off.
00:17:56So he's just going to throw it to him.
00:17:59Seventh play of the drive.
00:18:01Second down and ten.
00:18:02And a quick go caught by Ben Coates.
00:18:04And that's a first down to the Cardinal.
00:18:0638-yard line.
00:18:07Matt Darby makes the stop.
00:18:08And Coates picks up 13 yards again.
00:18:11And the protection.
00:18:13Arizona went after the quarterback.
00:18:15They had linebackers looping.
00:18:16They had everybody charging.
00:18:17The protection was excellent.
00:18:19The line, everybody picked him up.
00:18:20And you can find that good tight end.
00:18:22This tight end, by the way, has been in motion almost every play.
00:18:25His tongue is going to look like a necktie.
00:18:27He's on the run today.
00:18:28Watch this protection.
00:18:30Nice job by Curtis Martin.
00:18:31Picked up Miller.
00:18:32Saw Miller coming.
00:18:33Gave the quarterback time to make the play work.
00:18:35First down and ten.
00:18:38We have no score.
00:18:39Five and a half minutes remaining in the first quarter.
00:18:41Bledsoe, nice hesitation.
00:18:42He gets the pass off to Curtis Martin.
00:18:45Who's down to the Cardinal 34-yard line.
00:18:47Matt Darby makes the stop there.
00:18:49The free agent signee from Buffalo.
00:18:51And they use Martin to catch the ball and run it up the middle.
00:18:53Well, it was the play fake, Kevin.
00:18:55Good play fake by Bledsoe.
00:18:56Rode the ball in there.
00:18:57Hid the ball.
00:18:58Bent over.
00:18:59All the Arizona Cardinal people thought it was the run.
00:19:02They thought it was Curtis Martin running up through there.
00:19:05Remember last year after an early game when Martin had over 100 yards,
00:19:08he was called the one-game wonder by Bill Fersel.
00:19:11He had nine 100-yard games last year.
00:19:13And went to the Pro Bowl as a rookie.
00:19:16And was rookie of the year.
00:19:18Second down and four for Bledsoe.
00:19:20They set up the screen nicely.
00:19:21There's a flag and it could be holding against the Patriots
00:19:24as Martin weaves his way to the Cardinal secondary to the 20-yard line.
00:19:28That's a gain of 13 yards, but a flag was thrown where the blocking occurred.
00:19:32And they threw it back behind the line of scrimmage.
00:19:36They're going to discuss this one.
00:19:41Tripping.
00:19:44Probably the onside tackle.
00:19:45Probably Bruce Armstrong.
00:19:47Usually a tackle to the screen side runs a cut block.
00:19:49Cut block means get that defensive end down low.
00:19:52And rather than hit him with his head, he maybe tripped him with his foot.
00:19:55We have tripping on top end.
00:19:58Number 78.
00:19:59Ten-yard penalty.
00:20:01Repeat second down.
00:20:04Watch the tackle on the left side.
00:20:06Bruce Armstrong.
00:20:07His job up here is to cut the defensive end.
00:20:10Get his hands down so the screen can be successful.
00:20:13Back up and out cut.
00:20:14And he missed him with his body.
00:20:16He tripped him with his feet.
00:20:17Good job by the officials.
00:20:18They caught him.
00:20:18So the penalty makes it second down and 14 yards to go from the 44-yard line.
00:20:24There's another flag, and that may have been the lay of game against the New England Patriots.
00:20:31They have the loudest whistles of any officials I ever heard.
00:20:41False start prior to the snap.
00:20:44Number 68.
00:20:45Five-yard penalty.
00:20:47Still second down.
00:20:47Max Lane, the right tackle.
00:20:50He's also the tackle that missed the key block to win last week against Buffalo.
00:20:56He'll be right here.
00:20:57They called in for getting out of the way.
00:20:59There he is.
00:20:59Rock back.
00:21:00Can't move that hand.
00:21:02Moved twice.
00:21:02Twice.
00:21:03Got to wait with it once.
00:21:04Did it again.
00:21:05Come on, Max.
00:21:06He replaced Pat Harlow, who was subsequently sent out to Oakland.
00:21:10Second down and 19 now with the penalty.
00:21:13And what so?
00:21:13Sets up.
00:21:15And he has a receiver.
00:21:16And a great juggling catch made by Sean Jefferson.
00:21:20The free agent signing from San Diego.
00:21:22A concussion week one in Miami.
00:21:24He missed last week, but that time he paid great dividends.
00:21:27He's got a New England first down.
00:21:28Well, you've got to say one word.
00:21:30Concentration.
00:21:31That's what he did at San Diego.
00:21:32He knows he's going to get hit.
00:21:34He knows he's going to get whacked.
00:21:36But he juggled it on the first catch.
00:21:37But his eyes and his hands stay with the ball.
00:21:41It's a juggle.
00:21:42Look at his head.
00:21:42Still there.
00:21:43Oh, man, what a nice whack by Terry Holt.
00:21:46One thing Terry Holt is going to do now.
00:21:48He's going to hit you as good as any safety in the league.
00:21:50Wham!
00:21:51And what's good about that, he fumbled a couple times early in the season.
00:21:54So it's nice that he hung on to that for the New England Patriots from their perspective.
00:21:59First down and 10 yards to go.
00:22:00Plutso again right on the money.
00:22:02And he's got a receiver at the 13-yard line.
00:22:04It's another first down.
00:22:05Terry Glenn makes another catch.
00:22:07This time good for 16 yards.
00:22:09And in the secondary, he beat Terry Holt to free safety.
00:22:12And it's play-action pass on first and 10.
00:22:15The whole first and 10.
00:22:16This game has changed.
00:22:17If you're sitting watching this at home, sit up on your couch.
00:22:20Because first and 10, watch him ride the back.
00:22:22He's going to stick it in on Martin.
00:22:25Hold the linebackers.
00:22:26And there's the rookie running down through there.
00:22:28Terry Glenn.
00:22:29First-round pick, Ohio State.
00:22:32Plutso, so far a spectacular afternoon.
00:22:34He is at five different receivers.
00:22:38First and 10 from the 14-yard line.
00:22:40Plutso again.
00:22:41Rush comes on.
00:22:42They may be setting up the screen.
00:22:44And wisely, he throws it away.
00:22:45The pressure was applied up the middle by Jameer Miller and Simeon Rice.
00:22:49Oh, you see too much, my good buddy.
00:22:51The screen was taken away.
00:22:53They took the back man-to-man.
00:22:55At first, I thought, boy, the protection broke down.
00:22:57Then you saw the screen.
00:22:58My good buddy saw what the quarterback saw.
00:22:59Nowhere to put the ball so you throw it away.
00:23:05Something he may not have done his first couple years in the league.
00:23:07Absolutely.
00:23:08And what happened, Seth Joyner took the back.
00:23:11The back was Curtis Martin.
00:23:12And he just smacked him so hard, he knocked him down.
00:23:15And Curtis Martin could not get out for the screen.
00:23:17Nice play by Seth Joyner.
00:23:19Still no score.
00:23:20Second possession by the Patriots.
00:23:21Second down and 10 on the 12th play of this New England drive.
00:23:26But so, he's got the receiver.
00:23:27Curtis Martin.
00:23:28Oh!
00:23:28And he's in for the touchdown.
00:23:30Look at these white towels, Kevin.
00:23:50Everybody in this stadium was given a bank Boston white towel and they're waving it.
00:24:00Vinatieri will try the extra point on the hold from Tom Tupper, the former Cardinal quarterback.
00:24:09And with 2.25 remaining, Patriots have gone up.
00:24:13Completions of 13 yards to Coach, 19 yards to Jefferson.
00:24:16Finishing with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Martin.
00:24:22Well, the New England Patriots on a long drive get their first red zone touchdown this year.
00:24:28And it comes off a bootleg.
00:24:29They're going to fake here to this back.
00:24:31But this back, not going like they used to that way.
00:24:34He's going to come out the same side as the tight end.
00:24:36And that's Curtis Martin.
00:24:38And then he runs after the catch.
00:24:40See him slide out the same side?
00:24:42Watch this contact.
00:24:43Got through Hogan at the goal line.
00:24:46Vinatieri, who is the best kickoff man so far in the NFL, gets it deep back.
00:24:50And Leland McIlroy inside the 20-yard line.
00:24:53Takes it up past the 30.
00:24:55And is brought down at the 34-yard line.
00:24:58So how will the Cardinals respond?
00:25:00Down now, 7-0 here in Foxboro.
00:25:02Next week, it's Fox NFL Sunday.
00:25:08Double interaction when the Cardinals battle the Saints and the Dallas Cowboys take on the
00:25:12Bills, plus other exciting regional action.
00:25:14It all begins at noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific.
00:25:17Check local listings for the game and the time in your area, right here on the Fox television
00:25:21network.
00:25:21With Jerry Glanville, this is Kevin Harland.
00:25:24We're in Foxboro.
00:25:24The first half touchdown by the Patriots this year.
00:25:29Now the subsequent kickoff is given the Cardinals the ball.
00:25:32First down and 10 yards to go from their own 33.
00:25:36McIlroy is in the backfield.
00:25:38And he gets the pitch.
00:25:39Leland McIlroy out of bounds.
00:25:42Close to it.
00:25:43At the 39-yard line, he picks up seven yards on first down.
00:25:46There is a big fan.
00:25:49That's a fan.
00:25:50What Boomer saw when he looked out there, he didn't see that tattoo.
00:25:54Boomer saw the 46 defense.
00:25:56So he audibled and checked it to a weak side flip.
00:25:59He can't run into the tight end side on a 46 with or without a tattoo.
00:26:03I want to see your tattoo, your Fox tattoo.
00:26:07Second down and four.
00:26:09And McIlroy gets a great second effort and gets the first down.
00:26:13And he's to the 44-yard line.
00:26:15And Leland McIlroy, who replaces Garrison Hurst, who was cut in a thousand-yard gainer a year ago,
00:26:22picks up the swag.
00:26:23But there was a penalty flag thrown on the play, and it's against the Cardinals.
00:26:26And he had his hand on the ground keeping his balance.
00:26:29Looks like they said there was no doubt in practice when he ran, he was better than Garrison Hurst.
00:26:33Well, I couldn't tell the penalty was on, but it was against the Cardinals,
00:26:41and so they'll march the ball back with 1.42 remaining in this first quarter,
00:26:46and 7-0 for England on top of Arizona.
00:26:50And what a good second effort run that was.
00:26:52Too bad that they had a holding on that that gave them a good spark.
00:26:56Hurst was a second-round pick out of Texas A&M.
00:27:00Three-wide receivers now for Boomer Esiason.
00:27:02Second down and 14 yards to go.
00:27:05Rob Moore is in motion in the left-handed throwing Esiason.
00:27:08Throws a wobbler, and it's caught by Rob Moore, who is up 2-33 in tie-lock.
00:27:14Brought him down.
00:27:16And one thing happened to Boomer on that play.
00:27:18If you do contacts on the quarterback, they had a big hit on Boomer after he threw that.
00:27:23But he stayed in there, stayed in the pocket, and saw the crossing route.
00:27:26He's looking downfield, doesn't like it, and he waits for the crossing route.
00:27:32Oh, Willie hit him there a little bit late.
00:27:34You're only supposed to have one step.
00:27:36Better be careful on that one, Willie.
00:27:38He did the two-step.
00:27:39That was it.
00:27:40The Texas two-step will get you a penalty.
00:27:42Third down and 9.
00:27:46Esiason's in the shotgun.
00:27:48Six defensive backs.
00:27:49Four wide receivers.
00:27:51Blitz, blitz.
00:27:52And McIlroy.
00:27:53And the blitz stopped him.
00:27:54The blitz got him down.
00:27:55McIlroy knocked down at the 32.
00:27:58Hit by Willie McGinnis and Ferrett-Cohens.
00:28:00And for a second consecutive possession, the Cardinals have got to punt the ball.
00:28:03They're going to, I'm going to draw, they're going to come off of this side.
00:28:07He's coming down inside because there's a blitz man outside of him.
00:28:11That allows everybody to come inside the block.
00:28:15Jeff, the new right tackle, Joe Wolf, doesn't have a chance because the defensive end, 96,
00:28:20can slash in front of him.
00:28:22Mike Jones.
00:28:24Number 83 of the offense.
00:28:25Crackback block on the Cardinals.
00:28:27The penalty was declined by the New England Patriots.
00:28:30And the second consecutive three and out for Arizona.
00:28:34Second punt coming up now for Jeff Fiegel.
00:28:37One of the top punters in the NFC.
00:28:39And there you see Dave Maggett.
00:28:42As he awaits the snap, there is wind at the back of Fiegel today.
00:28:46Almost blocked.
00:28:47Could have had that one.
00:28:49Maggett, he'll get a return on this.
00:28:51Push back to the nine-yard line.
00:28:53And Dave Maggett, who's returned six punts for touchdowns in his career,
00:28:57takes it up to the 27-yard line.
00:28:59The boys brought down by Ronald McKinnon, a rookie.
00:29:02It was a punt of 58 yards with a return of 18.
00:29:07Well, they've come from different worlds to pursue the same dream.
00:29:11This is the story of what it takes to fight the pressure,
00:29:14face the pain, and survive the program.
00:29:16James Caan stars in the program on Fox tonight at the movies,
00:29:22beginning at 8th, 7th century.
00:29:24It'll be first down and 10 yards to go from the 27-yard line.
00:29:35Third possession for the Patriots,
00:29:36who got a touchdown pass out of Blutsoe the last time they had it.
00:29:40And Curtis Martin tries to wheel around the corner,
00:29:42and he picks up a quick gain of six before he's brought down by Bernard Wilson.
00:29:45Two tight ends, two wide outs, so there's one back in the ball game,
00:29:49and that means somebody's got to pull.
00:29:51Bruce Armstrong doesn't do a lot of pulling.
00:29:53He pulls and leads this play outside.
00:29:56Good running by Curtis Martin.
00:29:57So the first quarter has come to a close.
00:29:59Drew Blutsoe, a 13-yard touchdown pass.
00:30:01We'll go to the second quarter here in Foxboro,
00:30:03with the Patriots leading 7-0.
00:30:09We begin the second quarter here in Foxboro
00:30:11with the Patriots on top 7-0.
00:30:13With Jerry Glanville, this is Kevin Harlan.
00:30:15In the first quarter, Jerry,
00:30:16that was absolutely dominated by New England.
00:30:19You've got to love Arizona for hanging in there.
00:30:21They're only down 7-0.
00:30:22And New England had the ball for over 11 minutes in the first quarter,
00:30:26so Arizona's staying in there, trying to keep this thing close.
00:30:31Blutsoe had a touchdown pass in that first half.
00:30:33Now on second down and four,
00:30:35he throws for a third time to Sam Gash,
00:30:37and he's got the first down up to the 43-yard line.
00:30:41Seth Joyner was on the coverage.
00:30:42It's a gain of 11.
00:30:43Are you surprised that they're going to a blocking fullback this much?
00:30:45And second and four is rundown.
00:30:47When you play New England, second and four is run,
00:30:50pound you, beat you up.
00:30:51But watch Gash, the fake.
00:30:54And we knew that the linebackers were going to key Gash
00:30:56to take him to the run.
00:30:58They told us that was their key.
00:30:59Well, guess what?
00:31:00He's sneaking out there for the pass.
00:31:02Sam Gash has caught three passes for 32 yards in the game so far.
00:31:07First down and 10, rolling out his butt.
00:31:09So, throws, and it's knocked down incomplete.
00:31:12Batted down on the defense.
00:31:14Michael Bankston may have had a hand on it.
00:31:15Perhaps Eric Swann.
00:31:17Nonetheless, it'll be second down and 10.
00:31:19And that's a dash.
00:31:20I don't like that with this kind of an armed quarterback.
00:31:22But a dash, you cut the field in half, and he's trying to get away from the rush.
00:31:26But the rush isn't getting after him.
00:31:27He's going to take the ball and cut down half the field.
00:31:31He runs that way.
00:31:31But I don't think the rush is that effective yet.
00:31:34And that leaves you just with the one guy, just looking for one guy, Sean Jefferson.
00:31:37When you run dash, you have limited amount of receivers that you can throw to.
00:31:41It was Bankston.
00:31:43Second down and 10.
00:31:45What so?
00:31:46Oh, first time he's really been pressured, and he goes down.
00:31:49Brought down from behind by Seth Joyner.
00:31:52That's the first sack today for the Cardinals.
00:31:55And Joyner makes it.
00:31:56The former Philadelphia Eagle for Buddy Ryan.
00:31:58Right now for McDonald's game break.
00:32:00Let's go back to Hollywood.
00:32:01James Brown is standing by at our Fox Television Center.
00:32:03All right, Kevin.
00:32:04Bears did it on the ground up to this point.
00:32:06Kramer rolling, looking for rookie Bobby Ingram out of the slot.
00:32:09He finds a five-yard touchdown strike.
00:32:11First touchdown for Kramer this evening, that is.
00:32:15Bears on top.
00:32:167-0.
00:32:16Back to you guys.
00:32:18Come on.
00:32:19James Ingram is the rookie out of Penn State.
00:32:20He's a good-looking receiver.
00:32:21One thing about James Brown today.
00:32:23Did you see that collar he had on?
00:32:24He's got a bad collar on his new shirt.
00:32:26Third down and 10.
00:32:28And once again, he's whacked.
00:32:30This time by rookie Simeon Rice, who gets his second sack as an NFL player.
00:32:35He had one against Marino last week.
00:32:37Gets his second against Bledsoe right here.
00:32:39And great defense by the Cardinals.
00:32:40Will force a fourth down.
00:32:42And we talked about all four of their defensive linemen.
00:32:44Two sacks in a row.
00:32:46New England runs a dash to get away from the sack.
00:32:49And then on the two dropbacks, all kinds of pressure.
00:32:52Not one guy was back there.
00:32:54They had two and three guys back on both sacks.
00:32:56Former Cardinal quarterback Tom Tupa to punt.
00:33:00Signed this pass offseason.
00:33:01Takes the place of Brian Wagner.
00:33:03And deep back with the return, Marcus Dowdell.
00:33:06And he is a fleet-footed receiver who runs out of bounds near the 29-yard line.
00:33:11Tackled by Larry Wiggum.
00:33:12A special team standout.
00:33:1448-yard punt.
00:33:1515-yard return.
00:33:177-0 New England.
00:33:18NFL Sunday is brought to you by the car that makes waves.
00:33:25The new eclipse from Mitsubishi built for living.
00:33:28By Visa, the preferred card of the NFL.
00:33:31Visa, it's everywhere you want to be.
00:33:33By Boston Market, carving out a better sandwich.
00:33:36And by Dockers Khakis.
00:33:38Hey, nice pants.
00:33:39Both New England and Arizona came in winless today.
00:33:45And Bill Parcells looked you in the eye on Friday and talked about the urgency he has for this game.
00:33:50He said, this is it.
00:33:51This is the game.
00:33:52I think you can see that in the play selection.
00:33:54On first and ten and second and four, he's playing it like this is it.
00:33:59Third possession for the Cardinals.
00:34:00They've punted the first two times they've had it.
00:34:02Hoover Esiason.
00:34:03Pinched at halftime last week.
00:34:05Starts today and throws outside.
00:34:07Fought by Larry Centers.
00:34:08And he picks up a quick six, seven yards.
00:34:11Chris Slade brought him down.
00:34:12Larry Centers, the best receiving running back in the history of the NFL, 101 catches a year ago.
00:34:18And we asked Vince about him.
00:34:20We said, Vince, who's your best player on offense?
00:34:23He said, Larry Centers comes in place.
00:34:25Here's two fullbacks that do things differently.
00:34:28This whole guy's life is knocking people down.
00:34:30This guy lives to catch the pass.
00:34:33They play the same position, but they play it differently.
00:34:35And they both play it as good as anybody doing what they do.
00:34:39Centers is in motion and the lead blocking this time for Leland McIlroy.
00:34:42And it didn't fake out Ted Johnson, who came through, the second-year player from Colorado with the big defensive play.
00:34:48And what we said coming in, where is Ted Johnson?
00:34:51Ted Johnson has been invisible.
00:34:53Here's a guy that's got all the talent, can run like a deer.
00:34:56He's got to make plays if you're going to play a 4-3.
00:34:59He's lined up in the middle.
00:35:01The toss sweep.
00:35:02Look at him run.
00:35:03There he is.
00:35:05He's got to come alive to make this a good football team.
00:35:07You mentioned it was a 34 defense last couple years.
00:35:1134.
00:35:11It's the first time he's ever played in the middle on a 4-3.
00:35:14He's got to get it going and make the plays.
00:35:16Arizona has not completed a third down today.
00:35:19They got third down and seven.
00:35:21And once again, Boomer Esiason is in the shotgun.
00:35:25As Esiason throws, and it's picked off on the play.
00:35:27His first interception today.
00:35:29It's a turnover when it goes to the New England Patriots.
00:35:32The pickoff is at the 47, and the interception coming up big.
00:35:36Ricky Reynolds, who was beaten by Quinn early last week on a 63-yard touchdown,
00:35:42comes up big right here, picking off Esiason.
00:35:44But it's a whole new coverage.
00:35:45It's 22-man.
00:35:47You're man-to-man underneath.
00:35:49You can't see it with his shot, but everybody's man-to-man underneath,
00:35:52and the safeties are over the top.
00:35:54It allows you to go for the touchdown,
00:35:56because here's the safety sitting right there.
00:35:58Ricky Reynolds picked off Jim Kelly last week,
00:36:01so it's his second interception in as many weeks.
00:36:03It was the defensive call.
00:36:0522-man they could not handle.
00:36:07He got beat last week, man-to-man, no help.
00:36:09This time, he had two safeties sitting back to help him,
00:36:12allowed him to go underneath for the interception.
00:36:15So the best beginning field position today for New England
00:36:17from the 47-yard line of Arizona.
00:36:20And the flea flicker.
00:36:22And Pugso throws.
00:36:23He's got Terry Glenn.
00:36:24It's a first down, and Glenn is out of bounds at the 24-yard line.
00:36:28And on the play, he took care of Matt Darby.
00:36:30It's a pick-up of 23.
00:36:33Curtis Martin took the ball.
00:36:35Unbelievable.
00:36:36Flipped it back to the quarterback.
00:36:37The quarterback's going to get sacked,
00:36:39and Curtis Martin picks off the guy after he...
00:36:42There's it.
00:36:42Now it's a flip.
00:36:43Watch him pick up to save the sack.
00:36:45Nice job.
00:36:46Wide open.
00:36:47Terry Glenn has had receptions today of 11, of 16, and right there, of 23 yards.
00:36:55And total dominance by New England from the 24-yard line.
00:36:59Play action by Pugso on first down.
00:37:01Zips it right in there again.
00:37:03And again, it's Glenn.
00:37:04And again, he's got a gain of 11 yards.
00:37:06That's another first down for New England right now for an NFL update.
00:37:09Let's return to our Fox Television Center in Hollywood, and here's James Brown.
00:37:13Hey, Kevin, tell Jerry Glanville to take a look at this arm by Jeff Blake.
00:37:17Play action on the run.
00:37:18Running right.
00:37:19Drilled the 24-yarder to Darnay Scott.
00:37:22Cincinnati on top of the Saints.
00:37:2410-3 in the second.
00:37:26Back to New England.
00:37:26Kevin Harlan and Jerry Glanville.
00:37:28Unlike Jeff Blake, the quarterback for Cincinnati.
00:37:30He's just been stymied by a young offensive line.
00:37:33The Bengals' offensive line hasn't given him a chance.
00:37:35If they can block, he can throw as good as anybody.
00:37:39This whole play came back to what you said first.
00:37:42First and 10 pass.
00:37:44First and 10 pass.
00:37:45That's what's going on here today in Foxborough.
00:37:47And they're aggressive.
00:37:48Absolutely.
00:37:49This is it.
00:37:50I think that's the way they've got to play the rest of the year.
00:37:52Like, this is it.
00:37:53You know, they did that back in 94.
00:37:55Sense of urgency every game.
00:37:57Just wide open.
00:37:58Let it rip.
00:37:59Dave Meggett will be in the backfield now.
00:38:03He will join Gash.
00:38:06What so with the first and 10 from the Cardinal 14-yard line.
00:38:107-0 New England.
00:38:11Hand off to Meggett.
00:38:12And he wants to throw in the end zone.
00:38:13And he's got Glenn.
00:38:17A little bit too high.
00:38:18Dave Meggett throwing to Glenn.
00:38:20It'll be second down.
00:38:22Well, Glenn's a guy that hasn't been there for preseason.
00:38:25Had the hamstring.
00:38:26Had the injury.
00:38:27But the first-round pick.
00:38:29And Mr. Kraft told me the reason you draft a guy like this
00:38:32is his character and what's inside.
00:38:34Look, he faked the crackback block.
00:38:36Snuck on through there.
00:38:37Here's a guy that's a homeless child at 13 years old.
00:38:41No mama, no daddy.
00:38:42And here he is in the National Football League first-round pick.
00:38:45Never give up on the youth of America.
00:38:47Second down and 10.
00:38:49A handoff goes to Curtis Martin.
00:38:50And he pattens his way over the left side.
00:38:52Inside the 10.
00:38:53Picks up four yards.
00:38:55Seth Joyner makes the stop.
00:38:56Finishing up on Meggett.
00:38:57He has thrown touchdown passes in the past for the New York Giants.
00:39:01And cleaning up on Martin.
00:39:02You say he went with the Henley family.
00:39:04June Henley's family in Columbus, Ohio.
00:39:06Well, June Henley last night down in Texas against TCU for the University of Kansas.
00:39:12Went over 200 yards on the ground.
00:39:14Scored four touchdowns.
00:39:15And he is looked upon right now.
00:39:16The running back for the Jayhawks as a possible number one and number two pick in the draft.
00:39:20And he and Terry Glenn were best of friends growing up.
00:39:24Yeah, they took him in and raised him like their own.
00:39:26Third down and six.
00:39:28Meggett in the backfield.
00:39:29Dave Meggett down to the one-yard line.
00:39:31He didn't get in, but it's first and goal.
00:39:34And it was a touchdown-saving tackle by Matt Darby.
00:39:38Well, they have the Arizona defense trying to figure out what's going on.
00:39:42You can play defense.
00:39:48Here's a draw.
00:39:49They got the field spread out.
00:39:51Look at all the wideouts.
00:39:52They're spreading the defense all out so that there's air.
00:39:55This is called air.
00:39:56When you hit the line, you got a nice block by Bruce Armstrong.
00:39:59Bruce Armstrong, downfield, eight, nine yards, springing that thing.
00:40:04First and goal to go for Drew Bledsoe.
00:40:06Three tight ends and the handoff going to Curtis Martin.
00:40:10And he is not in there for the touchdown with the great tackle by Michael Bankston.
00:40:15It was.
00:40:16When he went up, I thought he was going in.
00:40:18He went up and in, tried to jump over, but a good job, like you said, by the defense.
00:40:25Watch him leave the ground.
00:40:26And you got to jump the jumper if you're on defense.
00:40:29Look at all those white helmets.
00:40:31You think they've surrendered?
00:40:32You think they're going to give up?
00:40:34No way.
00:40:34And there's our man, Michael Bankston, finishing off.
00:40:37Look how close they're.
00:40:37About two inches from a touchdown.
00:40:39This is sneak territory when you're that close.
00:40:41It's second down and goal from the one.
00:40:44Seventh play of the drive for Bledsoe.
00:40:45Martin again, a second try.
00:40:47And this time he's in.
00:40:48That was a good-looking drive.
00:41:11There were pass completions of 23 yards and 11 yards on that drive to the rookie, Terry Glennon.
00:41:17Martin runs it in for me on.
00:41:18This Terry Glenn, I think he's going to be something.
00:41:21He was a rookie.
00:41:22Missed training camp.
00:41:23But now he's going to be playing and scoring touchdowns.
00:41:25Terry puts it through with the extra point.
00:41:28Clock is at 929.
00:41:29So the Boomer Esiason interception is capitalized to five by the Patriots.
00:41:35And now they lead 14 to nothing.
00:41:41Ejection on the face of Seth Joyner.
00:41:44New England capitalizes.
00:41:46They cash in on an Esiason interception.
00:41:49Seven-play drive.
00:41:51Patriots get a one-yard touchdown lead by Curtis Mark.
00:41:54And they lead it 14 to nothing with 929 remaining in the first half.
00:42:00There's Mattieri who missed three field goals last week in Buffalo.
00:42:04And here's his kickoff.
00:42:04And it goes deep with the wind at his back.
00:42:06And it's out of the end zone.
00:42:09They'll bring it back to the 20.
00:42:10And the Cardinals, who have had it three times with another punt and an interception,
00:42:15take the field once again.
00:42:17Down by two touchdowns.
00:42:18Next week, Fox NFL Sunday begins with America's most watched pregame show.
00:42:24Tune in as Cowboys star quarterback, Troy Aikman, discusses the increasing challenge of leading
00:42:29his team back to the Super Bowl.
00:42:30Don't miss Fox NFL Sunday.
00:42:32Check your localist teams for the time in your area.
00:42:34Back in Foxboro, Kevin Harlan, Jerry Glanville, 14-0 New England.
00:42:39And the crowd is trying to help their team.
00:42:42Everybody's screaming, how are they?
00:42:43Waving that white towel, trying to help this New England defense.
00:42:46The Cardinals have not captured a first down today.
00:42:49New England has 14.
00:42:52Nine plays for the Cardinals.
00:42:5419 yards of offense today.
00:42:56Handoff on first and 10.
00:42:57Leland McIlroy gets on the outside and goes by the 25.
00:43:01Looking at six yards to the 26.
00:43:03And he's brought down by Terry Ray.
00:43:05The Cardinals today, not very impressive in their series.
00:43:09Well, they had a good play and they got a holding penalty.
00:43:11So you see one punt caused a holding penalty.
00:43:13Then you see this interception.
00:43:14The interception was a good job by the New England defense playing that 22-man underneath
00:43:20and stealing that ball away from Boomer.
00:43:23That was Asiason's second interception of the season.
00:43:26Second down and three.
00:43:30Now he centers on the move.
00:43:31McIlroy with the little hitch.
00:43:33And then he takes it up the middle and struggles ahead to the 28.
00:43:36And for Chris Slade, who had a great game last week.
00:43:39An interception for the first time in his career.
00:43:41And a fumble for the first time in his career made this guy.
00:43:43Well, I really think he got touched.
00:43:45Looking at the films that we had, I thought a Buffalo Bill touched him on the thigh pad, on the knee.
00:43:51And really, he should have been able to keep possession of the ball.
00:43:53He made the pick.
00:43:54He ran it back.
00:43:55He went down.
00:43:56But the referees say he wasn't touching.
00:43:57So he laid the ball on the ground.
00:43:59And then Buffalo picked it up.
00:44:00I think the referee was too far away to see that he got touched, I think, on the thigh pad.
00:44:05And they should have kept possession of that ball.
00:44:08Shotgun, four wides.
00:44:09They're down and two from the 27-yard line.
00:44:12Asiason looking for his first first down.
00:44:14And he is close with the pass completion to receiver Frank Sanders.
00:44:21And the placement gives him the first down.
00:44:23The first of the day at the 31-yard line.
00:44:25Maybe that'll get Boomer going.
00:44:27He's a guy that won't surrender, won't give up.
00:44:30Got experience.
00:44:3135 years old.
00:44:32Been there.
00:44:33Knows how to keep this team moving.
00:44:35A little streaky.
00:44:36If he gets in the zone, and we asked him about that.
00:44:39When I used to coach against him, he'd get in a streak for his own.
00:44:42And he could throw 16, 17 completions in a row.
00:44:46Number 30.
00:44:46First down and 10 yards to go.
00:44:48And Asiason rearranges his running backs.
00:44:50The safety's up.
00:44:51There's the 46 defense right there.
00:44:53I haven't seen him play that.
00:44:54There's a 46 by the Patriots.
00:44:56You cannot run to the tight end, Kevin, against the 46.
00:45:00That's suicide.
00:45:01Which is what they just did.
00:45:02And Willie McGinnis led the charge off the defensive line.
00:45:05There was no game.
00:45:06Well, they got you outnumbered to the tight end.
00:45:08And when Boomer saw this the first time, he audible weak.
00:45:11This time he did audible.
00:45:13And they're going to run.
00:45:14Here's the safety standing on the line.
00:45:16You're outnumbered.
00:45:17Nobody left to pick up Johnson.
00:45:19And Johnson works himself right through Anthony Redmond and makes the play.
00:45:24I think Boomer ran out of time to audible.
00:45:27The first time he saw that, he audible and went weak, which he has to do.
00:45:31Lost two in the previous play.
00:45:33Second down and 12 yards to go.
00:45:35McIlroy and centers in the backfield.
00:45:36Three down linemen.
00:45:40And they got Slade coming in.
00:45:43Esiason hit as he throws.
00:45:44Deflected pass.
00:45:45And was it picked off?
00:45:47Have they called the interception?
00:45:48Yes, they have.
00:45:49It's Willie Clay.
00:45:51And Clay is off to the races.
00:45:53McIlroy will jump on him.
00:45:54Ball down at the 35.
00:45:56Or have they called the ball down?
00:45:57It's an interception.
00:46:01Patriots get the ball.
00:46:02And Esiason has thrown his second pick this afternoon.
00:46:07Remember the last pick?
00:46:09I said it was 22-man.
00:46:10Man-to-man underneath two free safeties.
00:46:12This time it's zone-zone, but two free safeties.
00:46:15They're showing man playing zone.
00:46:18They're picking the pocket of the court.
00:46:19There's the zone.
00:46:20Nobody's man.
00:46:21Everybody jumps for the ball.
00:46:25Willie Clay, who picked off Jim Kelly last week, picks off Esiason today.
00:46:33There's the deflation.
00:46:3481's got to make that catch.
00:46:35That's Frank Sanders.
00:46:36That's a good throw.
00:46:37Now, Boomer catches.
00:46:39You know, he gets a job.
00:46:40Why are you throwing that?
00:46:40That's not Boomer.
00:46:41That's 81.
00:46:42Frank Sanders not making that catch.
00:46:44That's not your fault, Boomer.
00:46:46From the 49-yard line, first down and 10 yards to go.
00:46:50A little play action by Bledsoe.
00:46:52And he wants to go deep, and he throws.
00:46:54And it's incomplete.
00:46:55A tumbling try at the 45-yard line by Hassan Graham.
00:47:00But Kevin, staying with that first and 10.
00:47:03They have 10 passes, the six runs.
00:47:05They come right back with another play action pass on first and 10.
00:47:09But it was a bad throw.
00:47:10First bad throw.
00:47:11He threw a dirt ball that time.
00:47:12Get it up.
00:47:16Nonetheless, Bledsoe's had a very effective afternoon.
00:47:19Touchdown pass and a touchdown run by Curtis Mark.
00:47:2214-0 New England.
00:47:24Seth Joyner is about as offside as a player can get.
00:47:29Well, I've never seen Ben Coates run this much motion.
00:47:32Ben Coates is all over the field like a wideout.
00:47:34They're going to wear him out in motion.
00:47:36Defense.
00:47:37Offside, no 59.
00:47:39Unabated to the quarterback.
00:47:41Unabated.
00:47:44What's that mean?
00:47:45Unabated.
00:47:46I'm going to have to look that one up.
00:47:48You got a dictionary at home?
00:47:50He was unabated.
00:47:51It means nobody tried to stop him.
00:47:54Nobody caused it.
00:47:56Well, he'll try to stop Bledsoe here.
00:47:59There's the tight end in motion.
00:48:00All day.
00:48:02Second down and five.
00:48:03Handoff goes to Curtis Martin.
00:48:05And he steams ahead to the 40-yard line.
00:48:07Picks up three.
00:48:08He was tackled by Eric Swan.
00:48:09We haven't talked much about Eric Swan yet.
00:48:11Eric Swan and Michael Bankston playing the left side.
00:48:14It's hard to run that way.
00:48:15So right now, they're coming to the other side.
00:48:17They're going after Bernard Wilson and Simon Rush.
00:48:20See, it's coming left.
00:48:21Wow, Eric Swan got all the way over.
00:48:27He still made that tackle, even though they're running the other way.
00:48:30Eric Swan is fully grown and earns his keep.
00:48:34He doesn't miss many meals.
00:48:35Third down and one.
00:48:3814-0 New England late in the first half.
00:48:41Bledsoe wide open is Martin.
00:48:43Oh, nice coverage, but Martin gets away.
00:48:45And he gets the first down to the 38-yard line.
00:48:47He broke the tackle of Terry Hogue.
00:48:49Second time Hogue has missed a tackle today.
00:48:51And a first down on sheer determination by Curtis Martin.
00:48:55And not only Curtis Martin, the fullback watched the blitz pick up.
00:48:59They run the fake, and they have to have a back that picks up the blitz.
00:49:02And then they have to have a back that breaks the tackle.
00:49:04And that's what it takes.
00:49:05Watch this gentleman right here.
00:49:07Mario Greer.
00:49:08Greer, he picks up the blitz.
00:49:10Now it's not a first down and a good second effort.
00:49:14Character people.
00:49:16That's what New England's after.
00:49:17People with character make plays and never surrender.
00:49:20On first and ten, the handoff to Curtis Martin.
00:49:22And Martin goes to the side.
00:49:23Finally brought down by quarterback Ronnie Bradford, the former Denver Bronco.
00:49:27And a fly on his throat at the 32 with a nice block from tight end John Burke on the play.
00:49:32And New England's unusual.
00:49:35They've got four tight ends on the roster.
00:49:37That's a lot of tight ends.
00:49:40We'll go crack back.
00:49:44Who was it the coach is asking?
00:49:46There's Parcells.
00:49:47Who is it?
00:49:47I think the officials are trying to get the player's name or number.
00:50:02They know where the spot is.
00:50:04Illegal crackback.
00:50:05We have a personal foul.
00:50:07Illegal crackback on the offense number 83.
00:50:1015-yard penalty from the spot of the foul.
00:50:14Repeat first down.
00:50:15Dietrich gels.
00:50:16Who's a rookie from Pitt.
00:50:19And a former draft pick of the Kansas City Chiefs.
00:50:22Here he is on the running play.
00:50:24He wants to get the force, man.
00:50:25Oh, no.
00:50:26Can't do that.
00:50:26You cannot go.
00:50:27When you're detached from the formation, you're not allowed to go below the knee.
00:50:31That can cause injury.
00:50:33Good job by the officials.
00:50:34That rookie's got to learn.
00:50:35Get up in his mustache or don't make the block.
00:50:38What if he doesn't have a mustache?
00:50:39Well, up around his nose somewhere.
00:50:41Got to hit him on the hip.
00:50:43Penalty makes it first down and 19.
00:50:46Back at the 47.
00:50:48Quick throw.
00:50:49It's caught by Martin.
00:50:50Lugso is right on the money.
00:50:52And Martin works his way through all kinds of traffic to the 41
00:50:55before Michael Bankston off the defensive line brings him down.
00:50:58Michael Bankston.
00:50:59If you're going to watch the Cardinals,
00:51:01Michael Bankston rushing the quarterback,
00:51:03playing left in, goes out and gets the wide out,
00:51:06going down the field.
00:51:08All-out effort guy.
00:51:09From a small town in Texas.
00:51:11Little C.
00:51:12He had to travel away to get the school.
00:51:13They didn't have a school where he lived.
00:51:16Now, here he is all down the field.
00:51:18Watch Michael Bankston crawling, tripping, gets cut,
00:51:21got a hand on the ground, still makes the tackle.
00:51:23Second down and 14.
00:51:25The play fake by Bledsoe.
00:51:26The throw caught by Ben Coates.
00:51:28He's to the 30-yard line.
00:51:30Picks up a good hunk of yards there.
00:51:32Matt Darby makes the stop.
00:51:34It's a gain at 12, and that will set up.
00:51:36Third down and a couple to go.
00:51:38And they're moving Coates around so much.
00:51:40Everybody knows he's a good tight end.
00:51:42He's a good receiver.
00:51:43But he's all over the field today in different positions with motion.
00:51:46So it's harder for the safeties to find him.
00:51:48But Matt Darby found him after the catch.
00:51:50Speaking of that Cardinal defense,
00:51:51they've got to be getting tired out there.
00:51:53Wow, they've played this whole game, haven't they?
00:51:55Two interceptions by Esiason, two touchdowns by New England.
00:52:01Third down and two, or they stuck him there.
00:52:04Curtis Martin was trying to go right into the teeth of that Cardinal defense.
00:52:07It was whacked by Michael Bankston again.
00:52:10Michael Bankston.
00:52:11I think if you want a football team, Michael Bankston has to be...
00:52:14He had 72 in his high school graduation class.
00:52:17That's all the bigger it was.
00:52:18He said, guess what?
00:52:19That school wasn't even in my hometown.
00:52:21I had to get up and go a long distance to make it to that school.
00:52:24He came from a smaller town.
00:52:25Little tiny town in Texas.
00:52:29Fourth down and a body yard.
00:52:30And Bill Parcells thinking over the decision.
00:52:343-10 clock ticking here in the second quarter.
00:52:36Patriots on top 14 to nothing.
00:52:38One thing Michael Bankston said in high school, he played 60 minutes.
00:52:42Offense, defense, kicked off, never came off the field.
00:52:46And I saw him, he said, that's why I don't get tired.
00:52:48We're just playing one way now.
00:52:50So Bloodsoe will be talking with the coach, Bill Parcells.
00:52:54And right now it's time for our Affleck question.
00:52:57Who was the only Patriot running back to rush for back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons?
00:53:07Back here in Foxborough, the answer to our Affleck question.
00:53:09Who was the only Patriot running back to rush for back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons?
00:53:13The answer, Jim Nance, 66-1967.
00:53:18Jim Nance epitomized the rough and tumble days of the old AFL.
00:53:23And by the way, if Curtis Martin would do it again this year at 1,400 yards last year,
00:53:27and he was over 1,000 this year, he would tie that record of Jim Nance.
00:53:32He'd be in pretty good company.
00:53:33Here's fourth and one.
00:53:34Eighth play of the drive by the Patriots who lead 14-0.
00:53:36Play action by Bloodsoe.
00:53:38He's going for it.
00:53:39And he's got it.
00:53:40At the 19, pass reception by Hassan Graham, who is a second-year player, undrafted out of Georgia.
00:53:47He picks up 10, and on a gutty fourth and one play, he gets the first down.
00:53:51A fourth and one.
00:53:52He did not have two tight ends in the game.
00:53:54Two tight ends means you're running.
00:53:55So it's a play action pass.
00:53:57We've been saying first and 10.
00:53:58Here is fourth and one.
00:54:00Play action.
00:54:01Curl.
00:54:04Pretty good operation right there.
00:54:07It's a different team.
00:54:09Completely different.
00:54:11First down and 10.
00:54:12Patriots trying to cash in on another Esiason interception.
00:54:17And the throw by Bloodsoe as Curtis Martin, who is as far as the 15,
00:54:22picks up six before he's met by Eric Hill, one of the unsung defensive players in the NFL.
00:54:27And I asked Eric Hill, what's the difference with you playing this scheme and the old scheme?
00:54:32He said, I had to slow down.
00:54:33With Buddy Ryan's scheme, you attacked, and you had a gap, and you went after it.
00:54:37Here he says, I got to slow down.
00:54:38I got the cutback.
00:54:39I got the bend back.
00:54:41And he says, it's going to take a while for us to feel comfortable in the new scheme.
00:54:46Well, in their home opener, the New England Patriots are on top 14 to nothing
00:54:49as we have reached the two-minute warning.
00:54:51Patriots have scored a touchdown on the ground with Curtis Martin
00:54:59and a touchdown pass through the air by Drew Bloodsoe.
00:55:0214-0 Patriots.
00:55:03And a reminder, coming up in the Dockers' Khakis halftime report,
00:55:06JB and Terry will bring you scores and highlights from week three of the NFL.
00:55:10Also, don't miss Fox NFL Sunday's Choice Cuts featuring the best plays from the NFL last week.
00:55:15All coming up in the Dockers' Khakis halftime.
00:55:18Martin on the carry.
00:55:19Curtis Martin on the carry.
00:55:20Picks up hardly anything.
00:55:22Matt Darby was there.
00:55:23He is the co-leading tackler coming into the game today.
00:55:26Darby was a starter with the Buffalo Bills.
00:55:29He was following, of course, the lead block.
00:55:31When you see Curtis Martin following the lead block of Sam Gash.
00:55:36Third and short.
00:55:37Ordinarily, this is a rundown.
00:55:39With these Patriots, I can't tell you what they're going to do,
00:55:42and I think that's what's hurting the Cardinals.
00:55:43They can't figure out what they're going to do either.
00:55:46Formation spread out.
00:55:47Tight end in motion.
00:55:48Third down and two.
00:55:49Coates is on the fly.
00:55:51Hand off to Martin.
00:55:52He tried to put his shoulder down and kind of trade the 10.
00:55:55He'll be close to the first down,
00:55:57but Eric Swann saw to it that he didn't reach it,
00:56:00so it'll be fourth down.
00:56:01Eric Swann, once again, he's a hard guy to run that football.
00:56:04They got Swann and Michael Bankston side by side,
00:56:07and then you back them up with Seth Joyner and Eric Hill.
00:56:10You got defensive personnel.
00:56:12When that line is healthy,
00:56:13it's about as good a line as you're going to find in the lead.
00:56:15Well, we said in our opener,
00:56:16they got eight defensive players on the Cardinals team
00:56:18that can play for anybody in the league.
00:56:20Fourth down, coach is going for it.
00:56:23They brought in an offensive lineman, Todd Rucci,
00:56:25as a tight end eligible.
00:56:27It is fourth down in the yard.
00:56:33Bloodso with the block from Martin.
00:56:35Bloodso runs.
00:56:36Bloodso!
00:56:37Head over heels.
00:56:39Throne Liker right down.
00:56:40He's got the first down.
00:56:41First and goal to go to the New England Patriots.
00:56:44Wow.
00:56:45Calls timeout.
00:56:46Calls timeout.
00:56:47He got it.
00:56:48Look at this crowd.
00:56:48They love this game.
00:56:50They're chanting,
00:56:50Drew, Drew, Drew.
00:56:54Having his best game of the season right now.
00:56:56And it was a full dash rollout.
00:56:58They had everybody blocking to the right.
00:57:00And this is the keeper.
00:57:02He rolls out,
00:57:03takes one look,
00:57:04doesn't like the pass.
00:57:05Up and over.
00:57:06Up and over.
00:57:11Held on to his left hamstring
00:57:13when he came down, Jerick.
00:57:14Look who's over there fighting,
00:57:16scrapping and crawling.
00:57:17Michael Bankston.
00:57:19Eric Kiel.
00:57:21Michael Bankston is in on every single play.
00:57:24The man can play.
00:57:30Bloodso can play.
00:57:31Yeah, he can do.
00:57:32You know, I look at Drew Bloodso
00:57:33and I can't help but think
00:57:34he may be this year's Brett Favre in the NFL.
00:57:37You know, Favre was known as an erratic quarterback.
00:57:40Now he is an all pro.
00:57:41Could this be the year?
00:57:42Could this be this year's version of Brett Favre?
00:57:44You know too much.
00:57:45You said that before we ever came to the stadium.
00:57:47This may be his Brett Favre year.
00:57:50Remember when Brett Favre
00:57:51threw all those interceptions
00:57:52and nobody in Milwaukee wanted him to play?
00:57:54Nobody in Green Bay wanted him to play?
00:57:56They forgot about those years.
00:57:5913th play for Bloodso.
00:58:00First and goal.
00:58:01Bloodso.
00:58:03And it's caught at the two-yard line
00:58:05by Terry Glenn.
00:58:07He beat Ronnie Bradford on the wing.
00:58:09It's second down and goal from the one.
00:58:11And that's a frozen rope
00:58:13threw the ball out there
00:58:14but this is a good catch.
00:58:15This is a first-round pick
00:58:16making plays like everybody wanted him to
00:58:19and been injured.
00:58:20This was a frozen rope
00:58:21to a young rookie.
00:58:25That's a good catch.
00:58:26I've been impressed with Glenn.
00:58:30He had six catches last week
00:58:31including a touchdown.
00:58:34Glenn, five catches today
00:58:36from Drew Bloodso
00:58:36who's got second down and goal from the two.
00:58:39Martin is in the backfield.
00:58:42Play action by Bloodso.
00:58:43It's a touchdown pass.
00:58:45Caught by Ben Post.
00:58:46And the Patriots up 20-0.
00:58:53And it goes back, Kevin.
00:58:55It's first down.
00:58:56First and goal.
00:58:58Play action throw.
00:58:59First and 10 throw.
00:59:07Second touchdown this season
00:59:09for Ben Coates.
00:59:10The Patriots have completely
00:59:12annihilated the Cardinals
00:59:13much like they were last week
00:59:15against Miami in Phoenix.
00:59:20Different philosophy, huh?
00:59:23You know what I'd say
00:59:23if I was the head coach?
00:59:25This is it every single week.
00:59:27Oh, he missed it.
00:59:28Well, he missed three last week, Jerry
00:59:30including a couple
00:59:30that hit the uprights in Buffalo
00:59:32and of course it was rainy and windy.
00:59:34But the rookie who beat out
00:59:3540-year-old Matt Barr
00:59:37because of his great distance
00:59:39on kickoffs
00:59:40has missed an extra point
00:59:41so it remains
00:59:4220-0 New England.
00:59:44Well, there's no rain
00:59:45and there's no wind here.
00:59:46He's got to make this play.
00:59:47Here's the touchdown.
00:59:48A one-back set.
00:59:50Everybody else is playing wings.
00:59:51Two tight ends, two wings.
00:59:53That's how he gets open.
00:59:55Nice throw.
00:59:57And a great fake.
00:59:58Great fake.
00:59:59I'll tell you what.
01:00:00The poor Cardinals
01:00:02cannot figure out
01:00:03what's a run
01:00:03and what's up.
01:00:04They even pulled the guard.
01:00:05Oh, there's what made it.
01:00:06They pulled William Roberts
01:00:08the backside guard
01:00:09just like you would
01:00:10if it was a run.
01:00:11So the backside
01:00:12watch the guard come through.
01:00:13There's 76 running up.
01:00:15You know it's a run
01:00:17when the backside guard
01:00:18is pulling up through the hole.
01:00:19Well, it wasn't.
01:00:19It was a pass.
01:00:25Ben Coates
01:00:25who usually gets double teamed
01:00:27was open that time
01:00:28on a great play fake
01:00:29and for the Cardinals
01:00:30Boomer Esiason
01:00:32has thrown two interceptions
01:00:33and the Patriots
01:00:35have cashed in
01:00:36both times
01:00:37with touchdowns.
01:00:38And Boomer
01:00:38has thrown two touchdown passes
01:00:40and Martin has got
01:00:41two touchdowns himself.
01:00:42But in Boomer's defense
01:00:43Frank Sanders
01:00:44has to make that
01:00:45one interception
01:00:46is a completion
01:00:47and he tips it up
01:00:48against zone.
01:00:49A tip ball against zone
01:00:50is an interception.
01:00:52And it's Thierry
01:00:53who kicks off
01:00:54to Leland McIlroy
01:00:55from the four-yard line
01:00:56and McIlroy up past the 20
01:00:58and banged hard
01:00:59at the 25-yard line
01:01:00and he'll go down right there.
01:01:03A tackle was made
01:01:04by Teddy Bruschi.
01:01:05And Esiason is back out again
01:01:07after having a very difficult
01:01:09first half.
01:01:10And Teddy Bruschi's defense
01:01:11is 100 people
01:01:12sitting at their favorite pub
01:01:14watching this game
01:01:15and they're hollering
01:01:15give me a Bruschi.
01:01:17They're not talking
01:01:18about Teddy though.
01:01:19Well, that's what
01:01:19Bill Parsons said
01:01:21give me a Bruschi.
01:01:21They got him
01:01:22and he's making a tackle.
01:01:24Coming up in the
01:01:25Dockers' halftime
01:01:25Dockers' khakis' halftime
01:01:27we'll talk to JB and Terry.
01:01:29Choice cuts from last week.
01:01:30All the scores and highlights
01:01:31from this the third week.
01:01:33Terry centers on first and ten.
01:01:35Just a short run up the middle
01:01:36for a couple yards.
01:01:37We're down to eight seconds.
01:01:38That'll be the final play
01:01:39of the first half
01:01:40and for Bill Parcells
01:01:41who called this a must win
01:01:43a critical game
01:01:44he has gotten exactly
01:01:45the kind of performance
01:01:46that he wanted to see.
01:01:47I think the must game
01:01:49probably caused
01:01:50the play call
01:01:51and totally different
01:01:52than any Patriot team.
01:01:54First and ten
01:01:55has become
01:01:55play action pass.
01:01:59That's the end
01:02:00of the first half
01:02:01with the score
01:02:02New England 20
01:02:03and Arizona nothing.
01:02:04JB, Terry, Howie,
01:02:05and Ronnie
01:02:06will be along
01:02:06from the Fox Television Center
