00:00What's the best moment of the Giro for you? The stage you won, the stage you gave, delivered to Olaf Khoi yesterday or today?
00:12I think the emotions in Siena was a really big moment, of course a huge personal achievement, but luckily I don't really have to choose.
00:24It was a Giro with a lot of peaks, a lot of great moments and yesterday was also exceptional to turn the GC around on the final opportunity and to win the race with Simon.
00:40Do you remember some pedal strokes difficult in the mountain? Your mind was here?
00:45I remember a very long, difficult climb yesterday and no, I didn't really put too much focus on today, just every day I saw day by day and just wanted to finish.
00:58I've been away from home for five and a half weeks now, so it's been a long time suffering and it's just nice to arrive here now and go for it again today, hopefully.
01:07Ready for a second win?
01:08We will see, it would be nice, but I'm just focusing on launching the sprint and hopefully it's good enough.
01:15Your teammate Sam Bennett won in Rome before, what has he told you about this stage?
01:20It's a technical one, with the local lap it's, yeah, position will be crucial and the finish is a little bit dragging uphill, so it will be a sprint on raw power.
01:32What is your role today?
01:35My role will be to position Kurt Gutmustad and Sam Bennett into the final to let them do their best possible sprint.
01:44One year ago, a Belgian sprinter won here. Can the same thing happen again this year?
01:49Hopefully, we have also Wout, but I don't think Wout can sprint today, but yeah, maybe, I hope so, yes.
01:56What kind of sprint do you hope for?
01:59That will for sure be really nervous, but in the end, I think it will be a really honest sprint, like the best of the fastest men will win today.
02:11I think it's also a little bit uphill, so for sure the guy with the most power and the best legs after three weeks of hard racing will win today, yes.
02:19At the beginning of the Giro, you were not sure how you would be in the third week. Have you been pleasantly surprised that you could be a real actor in the stages of the third week?
02:30You know, and then I don't care if I was a real actor in the third week or not, as long as I could help my teammates, and I think I did in the last week, so yeah, it was good.
02:41Many people said yesterday it was a Queen stage. Is today the Queen stage for you?
02:47No, not really. Yesterday was for sure the Queen stage, and today it's all about enjoying what we did in this Giro.
02:53You know, and then we have six stage victories, and the Ciclamino, for us, no matter the result today, this has been one incredible Giro.
03:11So, we've been listening to you tonight. Thank you guys for coming to see you this season.
