00:07there are obviously several articles that all come down but there are nine names that are in

00:13basically every single one of them uh if you would like to hear them marcel dion marcel dion

00:19gilbert perot jerome mcginla matt sundin patrick marlo pavel bore jumbo joe thornton daniel alfredson

00:34and henrik lundquist those are the nine names of the best players to never win a cup

00:40you know i would say lundquist based on how great he was and he went to the final and lost

00:48and i would say based on numbers and longevity marcel dion and i think uh sundin had an incredible

00:58career so did uh your boy again la but i'm really not that surprised that they didn't win it when

01:06you play on the leafs uh it's been that bad so and then you know the flames won it with lanny mcdonald

01:12never won it with a ginla fair enough but there is no one on that list that can hold mcdavid's package

01:19okay so let's stop right there this is the greatest player in my opinion ever to not win a stanley cup

01:30yet he's got to get it done right now starting next wednesday night and listen to this games one

01:36and two are at the rogers place in edmonton they cannot go down 3-0 to the florida panthers

01:41they got to go out and win game one and if they do i believe because they'll be 13 and two i believe

01:48at the end of the day they'll win the stanley cup and he'll hoist it over his head for the first time

01:53and then i won't be surprised at all if he wins a couple more when i saw lemieux win one the next year

02:01he won another one when i saw crosby win one uh then then he waited a few years but he won back

02:06to back again in 16 and 17 if this guy wins the stanley cup he's going to win more than one i

02:12believe that if he doesn't win it i truly believe they'll have a problem getting back to the stanley

02:17cup final next year so he might be in a bad spot if he doesn't get it done this time but i think he

02:22will i really do yeah he's got to get it done this time here he is he feels that the oilers are in a

02:27much better place this year going into the stanley cup final as opposed to last year

02:32uh well i think we were better or better for going through last year you know um

02:37it was a great learning experience um and it's really driven us um all year um i think this run

02:47has felt different than last year um it's felt very um normal it's felt very um i don't want to say

02:56boring because it's not boring at all um but just a little you know it hasn't been as emotional

03:02um you know we haven't had the highs and we haven't had the lows um just kind of been steady

03:07you know and i think that that's put us in a good position you know those games can be

03:13emotionally draining we're not drained um as bob referenced we've got lots of depth

03:18um you know we've got as good a chance as they do um yeah yeah i mean without a doubt in fact i'm

03:28going to say it right now they're playing better than the florida panthers i think that you can make

03:34that case and i think that both teams are are better than last year's teams and i think that

03:40that's going to make it uh even more of a hell of a series uh that we're going to have
