00:00When I first saw this dog, I knew I had to help her.

00:04So I decided to foster her.

00:06Not yet.

00:07You're such a good girl.

00:12She was so anxious to be in a house.

00:18Yeah, just outside.

00:20That first evening, she bit my dog.

00:22I panicked and decided it might be best for her to go to another foster home.

00:27But something told me not to give up on her.

00:31I knew that she was a sweetheart underneath all her anxiety and wanted to give her a chance.

00:37The rescue and I decided to get her a muzzle for the time being.

00:40I couldn't risk my own dog and I wasn't sure what else to do.

00:44When she first arrived, despite me showing her the dog bed multiple times, she slept on the floor.

00:50She was so hesitant about everything.

00:54Eventually, I realized she wasn't like any dog that I'd fostered before, and that was okay.

01:00So I learned how to read her.

01:06She would look to my dog for guidance, the dog she had once seen as a threat.
