00:06When I picked Rolo, I could tell he was scared around people.
00:11Hey!
00:13Hi.
00:15Hi, baby.
00:17I would get close to him and he would kind of back up.
00:25The crate was a safe space for him.
00:27He would always retreat there.
00:30So, I was like, well, let me just go sit in this crate with him.
00:35He would slowly come out, peek around the corner, and then slowly go back.
00:41I figured he probably never came in contact with very many people in his life.
00:49And I don't want to overwhelm him because he was already scared.
00:55So, I introduced him to our dog, Lily.
01:00When he saw her, he immediately went up to her and just kept cuddling with her neck.
01:05And that's when I was like, he loves her.
01:07I can tell.
01:09He'd follow her everywhere.
01:10She would lay down and get on her back and he would just climb all over her.
01:18Naturally, he kind of grew closer to her.
01:19And so, they built that bond.
01:31When I saw him being happy with my dog, it made me feel really good and I knew he was going to have a good time here and not be scared all the time.
01:40By week three, he just totally transformed.
01:48He would start following us around the house more.
01:52Instead of staying in his crate, he would come in the bedroom with us.
01:56He wanted me to pet him.
02:00I was confident he was going to be fine and he was going to go to a good home.
02:04When Taylor reached out and said she was interested in him, I figured she's the family for him.
02:09I was sad, but I knew that's what it's about is fostering a dog until you find the right home for them.
02:17I was ready to bring him home and start the journey.
02:20My son saw the companion immediately and they got to really bond.
02:28Dolly is showing him the way around the house.
02:31Dolly will be the first one out in the morning and Rolo will follow him out.
02:36It's so cute.
02:37We're making sure that not only is it just a house, but it's his home.
