On May 28, 2025, during the IDET 2025 exhibition in Brno, Czech defense manufacturer Excalibur Army officially presented the latest version of its Pandur II 8x8 EVO armored combat vehicle.

The new variant represents a major advancement in the Czech Republic's efforts to modernize its mechanized forces, with a focus on interoperability with NATO standards.

Developed in partnership with General Dynamics European Land Systems, the Pandur II 8x8 EVO is classified as an Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) and introduces significant upgrades over previous versions. It is equipped with the unmanned TURRA 30 turret, developed by Slovak company EVPU, featuring a 30 mm cannon, coaxial machine gun, and anti-tank guided missiles.

Powered by a 455 hp Cummins engine coupled with an Allison automatic transmission, it offers enhanced mobility, modular ballistic protection up to STANAG 4569 Level 4, and advanced digital architecture for command and control.

The EVO also features upgraded suspension, amphibious capabilities, and increased payload capacity, making it adaptable to a wide range of missions. Its modular design allows for flexible configurations and easier field maintenance, making it ideal for NATO rapid response forces.
