00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Cusenbet and it's another lovely week here in Manchester.

00:04There's lots and lots to be excited about, so here are some of the best events and activities going on in the city this week.

00:11We're going to be starting with Cargo on the Docks, a brilliant food pop-up on the docks at Salford Quays.

00:17You see some brilliant independent vendors setting up shop inside some old shipping containers

00:20and turning them into one of the best dining experiences in the city.

00:24When the sun is shining, there really is no better place to be.

00:27They've got a bunch of amazing cuisines including Caribbean, Lebanese, Mexican, Ethiopian and Pan-Asian.

00:33Food selection is great, the atmosphere is great, so make sure you get down there and see it.

00:37This weekend, meanwhile, sees the triumphant return of Swinton Sounds, a local festival full of brilliant live music.

00:43It's absolutely worth a visit. It's the festival's third time in Swinton and it's been growing and growing in popularity.

00:49Salford City Council and From the Other have teamed up to put on an event that celebrates the local area

00:54with small venues welcoming some of the cream of the crop from Manchester's extensive set of musicians and DJs

00:59with some brilliant food and drink options too.

01:02Now, at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel this Saturday, you can attend the Manchester Home Show,

01:06a new event with the aim of helping people get to grips with the property ladder.

01:10Information is going to be available about buying and renting homes,

01:12as well as more complex situations such as shared ownership arrangements.

01:16On top of all that, it's completely free to attend.

01:18You do need to register online to get tickets, but for any first-time buyers or even second-time buyers,

01:22it's a slam dunk.

01:23Finally, there's a few new exciting openings in terms of bars and restaurants over the next few weeks

01:27that we'll be attending.

01:28The first comes this week, just in time for summer.

01:30It's called The Bag Factory and it promises to be a pretty exciting new venue.

01:34We're going to be going along to their opening this weekend, so we'll have a video out on them next week.
