00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Hewson-Betz and it's the start of another lovely week here in Manchester.
00:06So let's make it a little bit lovelier by looking at some of the best and most exciting things going on in the city and the region this week.
00:13Now we are going to start outside of the city centre and head over to Stockport.
00:17You might remember the video last week where I toured some of the spots on a new art trail here in Manchester.
00:22And over in Stockport they've got something similar. The Smiley World Art Trail has taken over the town.
00:27You can see massive emojis representing the full scope of human emotions and it's definitely worth going down and ticking them all off.
00:34Now we mentioned last week that the National Football Museum has a great offer on for watching the England's Women's National Team games at this year's Euros.
00:41And following the Lionesses professionally dispatching the Netherlands and Wales, the chance to watch the games there with pints and pizza is still very much available ahead of this Thursday's match against Sweden.
00:51Now as always in Manchester there's loads to do but that's very literally the case this week and for the rest of the summer.
00:56With Manchester City Council having planned thousands of free activities that families can take part in as part of their loads to do campaign.
01:03There are arts and crafts, sporting events and lots of other great opportunities to get the little tykes tired out.
01:08As well as many of the activities providing food to make sure that kids and families don't continue to struggle with their budget through the summer.
01:14Oasis still have a number of gigs going on in the city this week and even if you're not going it's worth noting the Bee Network did a pretty good job servicing everyone over the weekend but the city centre was still beyond chaotic so make sure to organise your week appropriately.
01:27Manchester International Festival is still on also with some brilliant artists and musicians making appearances across the city.
01:32The MCR live hub in Piccadilly Gardens getting a bit of a focus in an upcoming video so that's definitely a place that should be on your list of places to visit.
01:39That's all for now though thank you for watching and follow Manchester World for more.
