A 25-year-old has been arrested after shots were fired earlier today at a home in Queensland’s south Burnett region. The incident sparked an hours-long manhunt around the town of Kingaroy with police placing the local hospital into partial lockdown.

00:00Authorities were called to reports of shots fired at a property on Arthur Street in Kingaroy shortly before 4am.
00:11Several people were able to leave the house safely before officers arrived.
00:15The 25-year-old man, who was believed to be armed, fled the scene, sparking a police search.
00:20Police placed Kingaroy Hospital into partial lockdown shortly after 6am
00:24and urged nearby businesses and schools to close for the day as they searched for him.
00:29Police were stationed at the hospital with officers standing guard at each door throughout the day.
00:34We have had significant support from not only specialist police resources such as the Special Emergency Response Team and Polair
00:44but also from the community in Kingaroy.
00:47We very early this morning put out some information to the community about a vehicle of interest that we were seeking
00:54and we received significant help from that community in relation to that.
00:58The man was taken into custody by police at a property on Foley's Road in Guja, south of Kingaroy, about 1.30 this afternoon.
