Woman charged with murder after 3yo's body found in Bundaberg, Queensland

A 32-year-old woman has been charged over the alleged murder of a toddler near Bundaberg in Queensland.

00:00Well, police were called here to this house at Moore Park Beach just before 5 o'clock

00:06yesterday afternoon and when they arrived they found a three-year-old child unresponsive

00:12in where we believe is the front of the house there and where they still have an awning

00:17up in the area where the child's body was found.

00:20Police haven't detailed to us exactly what the extent of the child's injuries were.

00:26We have spoken to neighbours this morning who told us about hearing screaming and running

00:31to the assistance of the children.

00:33We understand there was possibly two other children inside the house at the time.

00:38Police have arrested and charged a 32-year-old woman who was known to the children.

00:44She is expected to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court today, sometime today, on that charge.

00:51Now the house still remains a crime scene.

00:54Public police are expected to return here today to continue combing the home for any

00:59evidence in this alleged murder.

01:02And they're also collecting statements from the neighbours who are understandably shaken

01:08by this entire event.
