00:00Minority Leader.
00:02I ask unanimous consent the quorum be dispensed with.
00:05Without objection.
00:06Mr. President, last night, just a few blocks from here, at the Capitol Jewish Museum,
00:14the scourge of anti-Semitism reared its ugly head yet again in America.
00:19The sickening, cold-blooded murder of two Jewish staffers from the Israeli Embassy
00:25seems to be another horrific incident of anti-Semitism which we all know is much too rampant in our society.
00:33Yaron Lashinsky, Sarah Milgram, may their memories be a blessing.
00:40Such a blatant and targeted act of anti-Semitism right here in the nation's capital should outrage everybody.
00:47A beautiful young couple about to be married, just starting their lives,
00:52gunned down seemingly because they were Jewish.
00:57Let this be a call to all of us.
01:00We must never allow the malicious poison of anti-Semitism to fester and flourish.
01:07While we still must learn more about this tragic incident,
01:11we do know that when anti-Semitism is rife in the air,
01:14all kinds of individuals cling to it and sometimes, unfortunately, act on it.
01:20This morning, I'm praying for those who were killed in this senseless act of violence,
01:25all those affected, and their families.
