Two staff members of the Israeli Embassy in the US were shot dead Wednesday (May 21) evening outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington DC. The victims were identified as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim. They were leaving an event at the Capital Jewish Museum when a gunman opened fire at them. The suspected gunman, 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez, was arrested by security personnel at the Capital Jewish Museum. Following the killings, a video of Rodriguez shouting "Free Palestine" while being taken into custody went viral on social media platforms. The Israeli Ambassador to the US, Yechiel Leiter, said Yaron and Sarah were about to be engaged.
