National Crime Agency involved in hunt for mother of three abandoned babies.

NCA Senior Investigating Officer Advisor says it is nothing short of a miracle that three babies survived after being abandoned in East London.

00:00Baby Elsa was found wrapped in a towel in a reusable shopping bag on January the 18th last year

00:08at the junction of Greenway and High Street South in East Ham in sub-zero temperatures.

00:16Roman was found in similar circumstances a short distance away in a play area off Roman Road in Newham

00:25in late January of 2019 as freezing temperatures and snow dripped the capital.

00:32Their brother Harry was found wrapped in a white blanket in Balaam Street in Playstow in September of 2017.

00:42However somewhat miraculously all children survived.

00:47Equally there are answers in the community and that's why the Metropolitan Police are leaning in

00:55really strong to the local community and knocking on all those doors trying to account for everyone

01:00in that area to understand what has taken place and there could be somebody out there who holds a

01:07small piece of information that they would assume that someone else has phoned in or many people

01:13would have made that phone call and we would just ask them to have the confidence and trust to make

01:19that phone call because your one call could make a huge difference to this investigation and the police

01:27and NCA would rather have 20 phone calls on the same matter than no phone call and that one person

01:33can make a huge difference. So they will have seen the detectives and the National Crime Agency

01:41investigators out knocking on doors seeking information. That one piece of information that you hold

01:49please don't assume that someone else will make that call. Don't wait for tomorrow pick up the phone

01:55now make that phone call because your piece of information may seem insignificant to you but it could

02:02unlock this investigation and find the mother of these children. So we are seven years on

02:08from this from the first child being left or abandoned and the police are not going to close this case there

02:20are viable lines of investigation there's DNA which could identify the mother
