All-party delegation meets for briefing on Operation Sindoor global outreach

An all-party delegation meeting is underway in Parliament, where Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is briefing the MPs.

00:00Let's get you details of a meeting of the all-party delegation in Parliament that's currently underway.

00:07The Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is currently briefing members of Parliament

00:10who are part of the delegation that will be visiting several countries across the world.

00:15Their all-party delegation is headed to almost 35 countries.

00:19So who's a part of this meeting?

00:21Well, Salman Pursheed, Srikant Shinde, Basuri Swaraj, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparjita Sarangi, Sanjay Jha, Kanimuri, Sasmit Patra,

00:30they're all in fact present in this particular meeting.

00:33These are all the MPs who've been handpicked by their respective parties to be a part of this delegation.

00:44Let's bring in Moshmi Singh for more details.

00:46So on this, Moshmi, the official briefing taking place by the Foreign Secretary,

00:50extremely crucial because this essentially will set the stage for all of the MPs

00:56to know exactly what India's stand is against Pakistan terror.

01:02And you know, the meeting is underway where, you know, delegates of almost three delegations are meeting.

01:11This briefing is being done by the Foreign Secretary

01:14who would be giving actually the template as far as, you know, Operation Sindur

01:18and the war against terrorism is concerned.

01:22And we are told that Kani Mui, Sanjay Jha and Srikant Shinde,

01:27the three leaders who are heading this delegation,

01:30members of the same committee are attending this briefing

01:35that is being addressed by the Ministry of External Affairs.

01:40In fact, to, in fact, make sure that all the MPs are on the same page

01:46when they take the message of India across the world stage.

01:50There are about 59 MPs in all, Moshmi.

01:53Are they all attending this particular meet or is it going to happen in phases?

01:57So clearly, this is going to happen in phases and the delegation that's leaving earlier

02:04is being addressed by the Foreign Secretary right now.

02:09We are told that the other four delegations would be holding this meeting in a day or two.

02:16Also, the standing committee is supposed to meet on External Affairs, Akshata,

02:21is supposed to meet at 4 p.m. the French delegation that is here.

02:27So that is why Mr. Tharoor's delegation couldn't have been here

02:31in this present meeting that is happening.

02:33So three delegations, members of three delegations are meeting,

02:38are taking that briefing from the Foreign Secretary with the Ministry right now.
