From overflowing bins to rubbish-strewn streets, we ask locals about litter in their area. How serious is the problem where they live—and what should the local council be doing to tackle it?

00:00I'm quite fortunate that it's not too bad. It would be better if there were more regular pickups,
00:07probably bigger bins. I think we live in a world where there is much more litter,
00:14much more elements that are wrapped or unnecessarily. It is a little bad,
00:21although it's improved, if I'm being honest. I think the council should maybe be more on
00:26sort of employing people to fix the issues in regards to litter. It's not very good,
00:32but it's not very good round about. You look around probably, so I think the council should
00:41be organising to control it, but I think it's just a lack of finance. There's a responsibility
00:47with the council always, but I think there's also definitely some value in getting the local
00:54community to take parts and take an interest in their own environment.
