With council tax bills set to rise this April, we ask Birmingham residents if they feel they’re getting good value for their money. What could their local council do better?

00:09people would be a lot more understanding if they knew exactly what their money

00:13was going towards like it has repaved this street and it has helped with this

00:17school right yeah what have you but just I think that visibility is lacking so

00:21people then feel a bit more aggrieved if prices are going up without the

00:23visibility of what that's helping.

00:25Where we live there's a lot of potholes and they could certainly do better there.

00:33I think just generally where we live is very run down.

00:39For me personally waste collection everyone knows is a big issue I think it

00:43definitely could be better I feel like food recycling collections and even last

00:51year they promised separate recycling bins and took orders but never actually

00:56fulfilled them I I feel like that's a key area.
