As many areas reduce bin services and tighten recycling rules, we ask people in Birmingham how they feel about the changes—and whether the system still works for them.

00:00Well, to do with the bins, I think it's ridiculous because the bins, I know personally for myself,
00:07my bins don't get collected as much as what they should be and, you know, it causes vermin and whatnot.
00:15And same really with the recycling, so I don't think they should have reduced it.
00:19I think they need to, you know, be on time.
00:21If they don't come and collect it on time, it's going to be, people are leaving their bins out anyway,
00:29even if it's not being collected.
00:31So it's been out of the bin and sometimes it, because it rains and it gets all destroyed, plastic and wind,
00:40it destroys everything and it gets spread to all over the place.
00:44So I think it's ridiculous, really.
00:46Like, you want your bin emptied, otherwise it's going to end up on the street, it's going to end up in a hellhole.
00:53You just want, I don't know, really, like, you need your bins emptying.
